Ordered delivery to out hotel room (first time ordering a delivery service to a hotel room) and the lady on the phone was very helpful and the delivery guy way very nice as well. The food took a little long to get here (about 55 minutes) but that's ok because we knew that it would take around that time. The food was very good. Perhaps they've cleaned up their attitude and have made the restraint better (taking into consideration the other yelp reviews). I would recommend and I am pleased.

Order from them a lot. Reasonable prices, decent portions. Tend to have bad delivery (mmmmm wait times!).

Just found a fried fly in my friends fried rice today. I just posted a picture to yelp. This place is disgusting anyway. I don't see how Great Wall stays open. I can't imagine what is buried under and in the cracks back there in this disgusting kitchen. Even the cooks look dirty while cooking. It smells like trash and rotten food when they start to cook. The place needs cleaning and updating. BEWARE!!!!

I would have rated Great Wall much higher had it not been for my last two experiences, all related to the same employee. The other person to review Great Wall mentions fantastic customer service so I highly doubt she's come into contact with this certain individual. I ordered the Honey Garlic chicken (deep fried chicken pieces covered in sauce) once and didn't care for the sauce. It was sticky and a little too heavy. When I was there again, I asked about different sauces. The owner told me they had all different sauces and I could put whatever I would like on the chicken, so I chose garlic sauce. As the other reviewer says, it's really good. I ordered this many many times and every time I was really happy. Then, last week, I attempted to order this again. The employee on the phone told me switching sauces "wasn't allowed" and that she would have to call the manager. I told her that I'd done this several times and she became rude and once again told me no. I didn't order. I thought that maybe this was a one time issue, so I decided to go into the restaurant today instead of ordering by phone. The same employee was there, and again told me no, this wasn't possible. I let her know again that yes it was possible, I've had it many times. She became very rude and told me "Well I've been here a year and I don't know what you're talking about". She called the owner over the phone and told him I wanted brown sauce on my chicken. I told her "no, garlic sauce" and she said in a very loud voice "well then why are you pointing to the broccoli chicken?" I wasn't pointing at anything, simply telling her I would like the garlic sauce instead of the honey garlic sauce. I didn't order, and I won't be going back. My two orders would have only amounted to about $40.00 so far, but this place is very close to my house and I'm certain I would have made this a "regular" dinner option were it not for this certain employee who should spend less time drawing on her hideous eyebrows and more time listening to the customer. By the way, since the food was decent and it was close to my house I always overlooked the 4-6 hanging flystrips over the kitchen. Gross.

Other than the service, the food is pretty good for Tallahassee. On this side of town it is, DEFINITELY the best Chinese take-out there is. You will be able to find much better chinese food on the East side of Tallahassee, but that is way too far to drive/the food will be cold when delivered. Their portions are decent and things have always tasted fresh to me. I usually order Moo Goo Gai Pan and General Tso's.

This is by far the worst chinese food, actually to be honest I can not even say it even resembles imitation chinese. I ordered pork low mein, the pork tasted old, and I could not find any noodles in there, the biggest peice of a noodle I found was about 1/8 of an inch, it was overwhelming full of big chuncks of celery. My husband ordered the kung pao chicken, I had to dig for the chicken. The food was bland as can be, I think I would have had a better time getting food from the dollar menu at McDonalds and then burning the rest of my money as I ate my dollar menu meal. If you appreciate any flavor in food, I do not recommend this place at all, I actually had to throw my meal away and eat at Sonics. At least I know what to expect there. The service was also bad, nothing friendly about the staff. I actually give this place 0 stars, but yelp did not let me. Please do not waste your money here. I hope I avoided you the pain of eating bad food.

They're attitude indicates that they simply don't need your business. Food is only fair but other 2 Chinese joints on this side of town are worse.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Tallahassee. Fantastic customer-oriented service. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. The food was delicious and prepared to our specifications. Try the garlic sauce if you like savory, spicy and flavorful sauces.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
