Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I have no idea if this place delivers. I wish I found out before I left. But after getting my food I just wanted to go home and stuff my face. So the wait sucks! No matter what you order they will tell you 5-10 minutes. The guy in front of me ordered everything on the chicken and pork menu and the cashier still said 5-10 minutes. So I go over to Publix for 15 minutes to come back and have to wait an additional 5 minutes. But the food was great. So not bad. In addiition the portion sizes are huge. I order dinner. Eat half and save the rest for lunch the following day. And the food still taste just as good the next day.

"You will soon have a very happy food experience. Lucky numbers are 7, 19, 3, and 42."

I love this place. And by that I mean I've spent way too much money here. The food is surprisingly good for a "hole in the wall" American-ese restaurant. Also, at least the front of house seems clean. Having patronized many Chinese places across the country over the years, I cannot say how important that seemingly expected fact is.

I've only been here once and only had two items. I do have to say that what I had was very good and very fresh. The house special mein fun is very tough to beat while the chicken wings were just OK. I'd go back for sure the next time I'm in Tallahassee.

I love their food! It's always fresh and has great flavor. I'm not a Tallahassee native. I'm from Fort Lauderdale. Their prices are a little higher compared to home. Tallahassee is a small city compared to Fort Lauderdale, so I was shocked to see how much more their food cost. A lunch special here is $7-$8 with tax. At home it's $5.50-$6 with tax. I'm not being cheap, it's just an observation. Lol. Overall I haven't been disappointed yet.

Second best Asian place in town after Tans. I go here when I'm craving Americanized Chinese food. I love the General Szos chicken- the sauce is incredible and the texture perfect. All the fried things like wontons and egg rolls are way above average- though I'm sure they're horrible for you. Try their homemade tea! It's pretty special. I love that this place is family owned and operated.

We've been disappointed in most Chinese food since living in Tallahassee, but this place exceeded our expectations. Yes, it's a common store front restaurant, but the food at Empire was not common. We ordered at the counter, which gave us just enough time to hit the wine bar in the plaza for a quick drink. When we got home with our food, we were so impressed! Generous portions, and everything had its distinct taste, unlike a lot of Chinese food spots where every dish tastes the same. Glad we found this place. We'll be back for sure.

not bad but nothing special, I don't know why its so highly rated. Just an average Chinese take out place. I went here cause it was so highly rated, but this kinda makes me skeptical on the taste buds in Tallahassee. It satisfied my chinese food crave enough. Does Tally know good food?

Best FAST FOOD Chinese food. It's nowhere near as good as china delight, but like I said for fast food Chinese I will take it anyway. Super nice family that owns it

Good chinese restaurant here folks. I Yelp'ed a good chinese place to go to in TLH and this place came up with its awesome ratings. I had the Genera's Tso's Chicken like i get at every chinese place i eat at, chicken lo mein, 2 egg rools and 2 spring rolls. Everything was delicious. Also, alot of the time when i eat chinese food i end up feeling disgusting, full, and heavy. I didnt get that feeling last night after finishing my meal so that is definitely another plus. It's not a restaurant. Empire is like a take out type chinese restaurant.

I pray for these people daily, want them to stay well and healthy. The best Chinese food in Tallahassee. They stand out because they cook well, the dishes are not weighed down by grease. I use the menu as but a suggestion and tell them what I want and they never fail. If you go in and ask for Shrimp and Broccoli in black bean sauce, extra spicy, they will stare at you because this my dish and they come correct. The spring roll and pan fried dumplings are good. My new fave is House special Chow Mei Fun, extra spicy, because that is me.

It's one of the best in town. It's the best I've tried but I haven't tried some of the more popular places. Empire is a personal favorite of mine. I go here at least twice a month, sometimes more. The staff is super friendly. The food is ready quick, 10-20 mins. They have great sweet tea and the food is always fresh and crisp. They do not deliver, but you can call ahead and pick up.

Great price and very tasty food. We've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since one of of our favorites went downhill. Empire certainly warrants a second visit.

I love Empire! I started eating here when I worked next door at Publix and have continued to drive across town for their delicious Chinese throughout the years. Without a doubt the best in Tallahassee - and among the best I've ever had!

Excellent food and Excellent service best Chinese Food in Tally !!!!!!

FOUR and FIVE stars???? Are you joking???!? Or maybe a RELATIVE? Two stars is very generous. Very average food (This is also being generous). Minimal to zero ambience. There are far better Chinese food experiences in Tallahassee at roughly the same price. My only explanation for its survival is the convenient location for nearby takeout.
