Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I lived in NYC for 8 years. I loved it there and one thing I used to enjoy were the bagels up there. This is the closest in Tallahassee to getting a NY bagel. I do believe altitude effects baked goods and that its not dead on. But I am grateful they are here and I can get a little reminder of my days on the city with a very close texture and taste to the masterpiece that is a newyork bagel.

My fellow Yelper, Mark B, was telling me about this place on our last visit to Tallahassee, and when Mark tells you that you need to check a place out, well, you just do. So we made arrangements to meet him at Brooklyn Water Bagels for some breakfast, before we got on the road back to Jax. I had the pup, and had to stay outside, so I went with my standard to go bagel: everything with veggie cream cheese. And it was perfection. Toasty, chewy, and the veggie cream cheese was right on. I actually thought this place may have been a chain, in a good way. But it's not: the branding, logo, and layout are SO well done.... super clean and professional. And Mark told me they actually filter their water to boil the bagels, to get it as close to NY as possible (I did hear the entire story about the water, and why it's just better, but it's a long story that if you are lucky, he can tell you himself) which gets stars for all of that effort to making a bagel as good as you'd find there. I'll definitely be popping back by the next time I'm in town.... that pizza smelled heavenly!

Brooklyn water bagels does serve up some fire breakfast but in my opinion they are a bit overrated. Until recently I had only been to Brooklyn water bagels late night for pizza. Late night pizza never disappoints so of course I thought it was pretty good. Nothing stood out to me though. After multiple people telling me I had to try their breakfast I finally went. For a school day morning it was pretty packed. The restaurant is huge so it does seat everyone but expect to wait in line! I've heard the line gets crazy long on weekends. I ordered the Brooklyn sandwich which has fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, and American cheese on a bagel. This is their classic breakfast sandwich. I changed the plain bagel to an Asiago bagel and added tomato. I'm not gonna lie it was pretty good but I have definitely had better. The sandwich is huge I could barely fit it in my mouth so it definitely did fill me up and keep me satisfied. Other than the large size of it I personally did not think it was anything special. The sandwich was good but not great. I didn't think it had as much flavor as many other breakfast sandwiches I have had in the past. Maybe I didn't think it was all that great because I was expecting an out of his world sandwich from what everyone has told me. Anyways, I would say to try Brooklyn Water Bagels so you can find out what all the rave is about for yourself but it just did not live up to my expectations.

DISCLAIMER: For this review I will solely focus on bagels, not pizza. The overly spacious restaurant fits like a glove for the undergrad crowd. When walking in you can witness the bagel making station through a large glass window. The dude who took care of me was genuine and provided great customer service. I ordered the Brooklyn Sandwich. My goodness, not only was it delicious, but the size of it blew me away. This was a behemoth-sized breakfast sandwich. Fresh eggs, stuffed with bacon, ham, sausage and cheese oozing throughout. And the bagel, merely a plain bagel, was delectable. Do they really import their water from New York? It sure tastes like it! The coffee goes down smooth, too. Try their iced coffee with iced coffee cubes. Overall, it's a bit pricier than most places around town. All in all, about $10 for breakfast. But I promise, for the extra few dollars you get your bang for your buck. From now on, I'll definitely try to venture out to the college side of town for my early morning gas in the tank. Brooklyn, represent!

Brooklyn water bagel and pizza company is a very large storefront in the new collegetown complex. I tried it twice during fall semester. Once for pizza and once for bagels. Pizza: Meh all the way and why it drags down what would otherwise be a solid three star rating. The pizza sauce was heavy on the tomato paste taste on my pepperoni slice. The pepperoni was nothing to write home about flavor wise. How does a pizza shop source pepperoni that tastes like a prepackaged grocery store variety? I also got a slice of white pizza. The pizza tasted of grease and noting else. The ricotta, which was certainly present, was dry and had zero flavor. The cheese wasn't cheesy or stand out in any way. The crust was alright, a little burned. I attribute this to the fact they warmed up my slices from the slice pie. The flavor of the crust was good. Because it was good, I decided their bagels are probably good and that I would come back to try them. Bagels: My bagel order I received had an error. I wanted the black Russian pumpernickel to go with some lox cream cheese. They gave me the plain pumpernickel. I purposefully left it uneaten and return the bagel to them. I wasn't trying for a free bagel, I just wanted it right. The receipt was put in correctly. The kitchen didn't deliver. The expediter took care of it right away. The bagel was pretty good, although I would maybe have it not toasted. Lox cream cheese had pretty good flavor. I have had better bagels in new york, but only one other spot in Tallahassee is better than this place. Their everything bagel on the sandwich was pretty good as well. Although my bagel wasn't toasted as requested. To sum up the bagels themselves, it seems the kitchen is overlooking details in an effort to push out food. The sandwich was really great. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly. The cheese, american, was melted. I am not sure if they have other cheese options. I did not put a breakfast meat on the bagel so I cannot speak to the flavor or quality. I would go back for another bagel sandwich, but not for a plain bagel with cream cheese or pizza. If I continue to have great bagel sandwiches then I will strongly consider bumping up the rating to a 3 or 4 star based solely on the bagel sandwiches. They have too much work to do on sourcing better ingredients, execution in the kitchen, and perfecting their red sauce.

I'll just begin by stating how horrible the customer service was. my friend and I waited while someone (I'm guessing the cook) just kept staring at us while he continued to wipe his face, wipe his hands on his jeans, wipe his nose all while continuing to complete orders and touch the pizza dough and the dried up pizza that they serve by the slice. After a short deliberation, my friend and I left. Even with their $5.99 deal, it wasn't worth the stomach turning experience. I will not be returning for pizza! As for the bagels, when I go in the morning, I have 0 complaints. A little on the expensive side but the bagels are the only reason this place gets 2 stars. Management, please teach your employees customer service and instill safe sanitary habits.

I was a little disappointed with this place. I really disliked the coffee, it tasted burnt. I got a egg, cheese and sausage bagel sandwich. The eggs were nice and fluffy but I think the bagels are kind of bland. The sandwich was filled with grease and lacked any real flavor. Also the wait is ridiculous. Don't think it's the worst place in town but definitely not the best.

A true bagel should be heavy ...the dough thick and chewy. There's nothing airy or light about a bagel (unless you get 'em fresh out of the oven ...yum). The "hole" should almost be an after thought ...not big enough to drop a golf ball through. One of my pet peeves is a bagel should have whatever its got on it on the top as well as the bottom. If you get a half-topped bagel and eat it open-faced you get gypped; one half will have topping, the other will be a "plain" bagel. Sad to say, given their "Brooklyn heritage" and all, BWB&P serves relatively lame bagels; they are marginally better than the likes of Einstien Brothers or Bruegger's and use the same bagel-making machine ...the one that makes big holes and skinny bagels. BWB&P seems to do it right: the bagels are boiled before baking and, yes, good bagels need good water. Which is why this place has a state of the art mini water treatment facility; to create water with the same makeup as the water you get in NYC (which comes from snow melt from the Adirondack Mountains). I was expecting great things but even with all that water technology they're just average bagels. Despite all the hoohah about "Brooklyn Water" the quality of the bagels is not much better than you'd find at any Einstein Bros. or Bruegger's. I was expecting a more authentic nosh than what I got. The service was friendly. The coffee was good and refills free. The rap/hip-hop music played during most of my breakfast visit should be banned from eating establishments. Which further convinced me there was no adult supervision behind the counter. Overall the BWB&P is an okay place to have an okay bagel.

The pizza here is so delicious and crisp! This is now my go-to place for pizza in Tallahassee, and Madison Social is a great place to hang! There was a weird screeching noise coming from one of the machines the other day which was irritating but I doubt it is there normally. Other than that a GREAT experience!

Where else can you get both bagels and pizza?! The bagels are the best around. Pizza is tasty. Everything is always nice and hot. Plenty of choices! Good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And the coffee is great too! Service is nice and fast. Even a long line doesn't take more than 15 mins

We had the 2 slices of cheese and a drink special with a half order of garlic knots. The food came out quick and hot!! The pizza was very good, but the garlic knots had too much raw garlic. If it was roasted garlic it would have been fine. The raw garlic taste over powered everything.

Having fun there with Daphane! I love the Brooklyn water coffee! It's really a good place to talk and relax!

They do have some great bagels here! This is the first location I have been to that serves pizza, but I haven't tried it. My fave bagel combo is an Asiago bagel with scallion cream cheese. Their egg sandwiches are really popular for breakfast too. I absolutely LOVE the iced coffee with the coffee ice cubes. My only issue is that sometimes the cream cheese melts off the bagels a little bit. They should let them cool off a bit before they slather them with cream cheese.

Now this place sure brings back memories. Sitting in the window of Kossar's Bialys in NYC watching them make the bialys. They make their own bagels here from scratch. They even have all the stages of the bagel making process labeled on the walls. They even boiled them like a real bagel is suppose to be. Boiled then baked that is the correct way. Today I was in the area and just had to try some. The bagels are really good with a nice crisp outside and warm and chewy on the inside. They even had the in our family infamous Black n White cookies. So it was truly a blast from the past.

Move over Panera!!! This place is where it's at for breakfast sandwiches. This place is young, innovative, and filled with great energy and service! The young lady taking our order recommended some great food and was very kind. The food was brought out to our table at almost the same time we sat down needless to say it was extremely hot/fresh. The food was great!!! They make their own bagels, muffins, and water (I didn't get to try the water but I'm sure it tastes like water). I'll definitely be back!

Wow! Best bagel I have had since ess-a-bagel in midtown Manhattan! Absolutely spot on!

Best bagel place in town! Crowded on the weekends but worth the wait! The owner is always there during the week and so friendly. They even have a rewards program where you can earn a free coffee!

This place has the best bagels and pizza. They get their water filtered somehow to get brooklyn water. We came here on a game day so obviously it was busy but they were efficient and we received our pizza within a reasonable time. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a pitcher of beer and the total was only $23! Not bad at all. They also have the best coffee and have coffee cubstas which are frozen blocks of coffee. Such a great idea so you don't dilute the coffee with the melted ice. Would come back again

Seems maybe this place has improved a lot since it first opened? I have only gone for bagels and coffee and have had good experiences. Bagels are really good, but especially love the iced coffee (comes with coffee ice cubes which is pretty awesome). Other people commented on the wait, but I've never waited more than a couple minutes. Want to try the other food at some point too. FYI you do have to pay to park. I always get it to-go so just throw a nickel in there and that's enough for me, so no biggie.

Loved it! Very nice decor. Lots of big screen TVs everywhere. Bagels were the boiled NY style - EXCELLENT!! I had a egg & cheese bagel sandwich which was awesome! Easy walk from FSU in the new College Town area (which is still developing).

The food is fresh & good quality. I've been twice now, but it took nearly 30 minutes each time just to 2 bagels... When we mentioned this to the man behind the counter he shrugged & told us to "expect to wait that long." I don't know who has the time to wait that long for bagels.
