Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Once again, my fellow Yelpers have not failed me. Based on the previous two positive recommendations, I had dinner with my boyfriend at Brickyard Pizza tonight. I immediately loved the atmosphere there. It's very casual, with a few tables near the to-go pick up area and many more tables and a few booths next door in a small room. It's fairly quiet, although Christmas music was already playing (!). We enjoyed garlic knots (excellent and under $2 for six of them!) before splitting a large pizza, half meatball, half pepperoni. The total, including two sodas, came to $22 and change, which is remarkably cheap for a table service dinner out for two. Our service was fine. At times the server could have been more attentive, but it wasn't enough to bother me (plus she was charming!). The pizza was great, and we had a wonderful meal there together. I've looked at the menu, and just about all the individual entrees are $10 or less. Of course, larger pizzas are more than that, but you can get a ten inch pizza for $6.99! Awesome, and I will definitely go back. It was phenomenal.

Good pizza!! Delivery would give them five stars, but other than that, I highly recommend this place. We've had calzone, the meatball side, pizza and garlic knots so far. Garlic knots could use a bit more garlic, but are fully of greasy goodness. The pizza crust is sturdy enough to not fall apart but thin and flexible enough to do a NY style fold-over. And the calzone--well, it's enough for 2, or for 1 with leftovers.

I don't think there's a better pizza in Tallahassee. Good sauce, good toppings, and nice, crisp crust.

Is your mouth watering for the best Calzone in town? The restaurant is incredibly small, but the flavor is incredibly huge! The restaurant features many pasta dishes that are all Mama's Favorites so that has to be good! My personal favorite is the calzone stuffed to the gills with ricotta and mozzarella cheese with marinara sauce on the side. There are dozens of fillings from which to choose and tonight, I added calamata olives and pepperoni. I had the need for a salty taste. It did NOT disappoint me! I only could eat half of it, but my "to go box" will not sit in my refrigerator long--I know that baby will be gone tonight ! One of the favorite pizzas is the Pizza Siracusa with FRESH tomatoes, FRESH mushrooms, FRESH green peppers, FRESH onions, FRESH garlic, pizza sauce and mozzzarella cheese. I think you got the jist of this pizza---FRESH! One can go in and munch on the hot garlic knots and not even need to order anything else! My waitress was a hoot! She wanted to make sure the Christmas music volume was at a comfortable level so it would vary in volume at times as she was swishing around the room waiting on customers and was thinking that the music wasn't loud enough when she was in the end of the room , so up it would go. When she ventured to the front of the room, she realized it was blaring, so down it would go. How fun! It was a fun evening; I enjoyed the company, and the food, so have decided that this is a place I will return. It deserves the 5 stars I am giving it! The address is showing up as Miccosukee, but the restaurant is in Tallahassee.

The atmosphere inside looked really fantastic, very unique to this area, and reminding me of a fun Manhattan pizza joint. Unfortunately, we chose to eat outside. Not much atmosphere out there, other than a very amateurish cover band, bad lighting and lots of cigarette smoke. The side salad was iceberg lettuce and a waste of time and money. The pizza was pretty good, and the eggplant parm was really really good. I think we'll try it again, but next time we'll take our chances inside.

Last time i went to eat here we pulled in parking lot and I'm not sure if it was manager or owner outside establishment, but he was yelling and cussing at employee( young female). A few men in parking lot tried to defuse the situation and then manager or owner became irrate. Don't care if your pizza is decent, people are now scared to eat there.

Brickyard has the best pizza I've had since I left New Jersey. Quality ingredients, excellent tomato sauce, and the essence of good pizza - good baking! The dough has the wonderful taste and texture that comes from slow rising. We've gotten pizza there once a week ever since they've opened. Also good antipasto and pasta dishes. The eggplant rollatini is also a favorite. And there's always great service from a friendly staff. And they've just added made-to-order cannoli!

Found this place on Yelp while passing thru on route to Pensacola. Not that far off the expressway, if you want something really good without going to out the way. We had pizza and pasta dishes. All were flavorful and delicious. The garlic knots they served with my twice baked spaghetti were wonderful little balls of crispy, cheesy, garlic butter heaven! Not a very big place, but very big on the portions and taste of food. Thanks Brickyard Pizzeria for making are first meal on vacation a good one.

Best White Pizza I have had in Tallahassee thus far! Chicken parm was better than most, but I feel the sauce was missing just a little something. Prices are a little high, but I was not left disappointed.

Cute place, great pizza. My husband enjoyed his calzone & kids enjoyed the food as well. Service was good and fast. Would definitely take the family to eat there again!!

I've been happy with everything I've eaten from here. Always get friendly servers and have had no complaints about my food. It is what you expect it to be - not the most authentic rustic Italian but it is good for what it is.

Kind of a love/hate relationship with this place...love the pizza and the other Italian Dishes they have ;but can't stand the owner and some of his employees..the pizza is by far the best in town..as close as you can come to real authentic New York Pizza without heading up to the city..crust is the right size and crispness..sauce is correct..cheese and toppings are generous and the pie has the requisite amount of grease on top..in other words perfect for folding...the other Italian Dishes including all the Pastas and Sandwiches are good as well..that's the good..as for the bad the owner Sal is loud and abrasive like a lot of New Yorkers..I have seen him be rude to customers and employees and he uses the F Word liberally..he needs to realize he is in Tally not New York..that stuff may be kosher up there but certainly not down here..the girl that answers the phone to take to-go orders is a complete disaster cause more often than not she is rude and unresponsive on the phone..I know a couple people that have stopped ordering from here strictly because of her...if you go there to eat it's a pretty slow process cause the service is usually pretty poor and slow..it's not that great of a dining environment either with no ambience at all..the only people who are nice are the people making the pizza and meals..my advice is get your pizza to go cause it's great..you just have to put up with the rude phone girl and then hope when you pick it up the owner is not there..honestly I would probably go to this place every few weeks if not for my disdain for the people running the show..that keeps my visits down to a few times a year..5 stars for the food..one star for the people working there so 3 stars overall

This is for the pizza. Recently moved into the area and have been in search of a decent pizza place. To me this was the second worse pizza I have ever had. It had no flavor whatsoever. I would like to try the other dishes but will not get the pizza again. Tallahassee seems to have trouble making good pizza from what I have found so far.

We just left brickyard and it was excellent...between the amazing food and service we couldn't have been more pleased. Our server, Jordan was wonderful. We look forward to future visits!

Boyfriend's parents recently discovered this place, and his Dad says its the best manicotti he's ever had. So the other night when he suggested we meet there for dinner, we were all about it. Boyfriend started us off with a BC Bomb - breadsticks (basically a small pizza crust) smothered with cheddar and bacon, served with ranch on the side. Its as good as it sounds. His Dad, of course, had the manicotti, Mom had the lasagna, boyfriend had a calzone, and I had the eggplant rollatini. I ordered the appetizer size - only difference is the entree comes with one more roll, a side of spaghetti, and garlic knots. But we had an order of knots anyway, so that was covered, and spaghetti would have just been filler. Three of the four of us cleaned our plates. The calzone was ginormous, so half of it came home for later, and we've been munching on it ever since. Everything was excellent. They have a pretty good beer selection, but watch the expiration dates on the bottles - I got to the bottom of my Sweetwater Blue (oh, how I miss living where Sweetwater distributes) before I realized that it had a best by date of August 2010. Overall though, great food, great prices, and a great atmosphere. I would definitely condone a return!

This was my first visit to Brickyard. The place is rather small, or I thought it was until I was leaving and noticed the other room. On another Yelper's recommendation I ordered the garlic rolls. These were brought to the table hot and fresh. They were tender inside, slight crunch on the outside. I loved these. Hubby ordered a meat pizza that he thought was "ok". He really is a carnivore when it comes to pizza. No spinich or basil onion for him. My meal was simply DELISH. Eggplant Rollatini with a side of spaghetti and meat sauce- along with another one of those mouthwatering rolls. There was so much food, I had it for breakfast the next day. Evev leftover the eggplant was wonderful. It was very lightly battered and fried, then rolled around a riccotta cheese and herb mixture that was just right, then topped with mozzarella and baked. I want to go again very soon!
