A day in the life of a Mughal emperor. Life couldn't have been so hard, living lavishly in the Taj Mahal. Just be careful not to get prisoned by your own son after building the Taj Mahal (Shah Jahan) and do not offer BIRYANI to those who do not deserve it. That's right, biryani has origins from the Mughal times and thought to have cooked in royal functions. So, if I was preparing a history lecture I would summarize that biryani was considered a fine dining dish of its time, and presented in royal functions; made its appearance through cultural diffusion to different parts of Asia. Present day: many restaurants serve biryani and different types of biryani according to the region they are from. Biryani is a balanced blend between two dishes (rice and some type of meat, seafood, or veggie dish). But, it's a bit complicated because you combine the two dishes when both are semi cooked and continue to cook them together. Don't worry about learning to cook it, just try it at Paradise Biryani Pointe. 4.5 star rating, I'm rounding up because it has the potential of a 5 star dining experience. First off, this is what Florida was missing. A Desi restaurant which caters to Meat lovers and vegetarians in different types of biryanis. It is called Biryani Pointe but much more than biryani on their menu. When we walked into the restaurant, the manager or owner (not sure) was on the phone but put them on hold to say hello to us etc. I liked the customer service aspect of the restaurant, if the management is strong they will earn loyal customers. For appetizers we ordered samosas, chili chicken and chicken 65. The samosas had potato and green pea filling and were decent in size. I truly loved both chicken dishes. Chicken 65 is a famous way of making chicken and the origins of the name are debatable and you can research how it got its name but I just suggest you eat it instead and realize how splendid it was. Chili chicken was my favorite however and I liked it slightly better than the 65. In the entrees we ordered boneless chicken biryani and mutton (goat) biryani. I'm not a big mutton eater so I just stuck mostly to the chicken biryani, which was very tasty. We also ordered chicken korma and another goat dish. I do suggest they cook the goat just a bit more, it was just a tad bit tough. Overall, the two servers were enthusiastic and quick. Our food, came out quick on a busy night. The manager made sure we liked everything at the end etc. Having limited good Desi options in the area, they were will make regular customers in no time. I will definitely will be back and order like a peasant next time. We wanted to try so many dishes this time that I felt royal like a Mughal emperor but overstuffed:)

Pretty run of the mill Indian buffet in my book. Everything was respectable, the chai was good. I'd be interested in trying food off the menu. I will however, say that during the whole time we were there, only one other non Indian person came in. ALL the customers were Indian, which I think is a vote of confidence.

2nd time here and I will be back again! We came on a Sunday for the buffet. By the way this is s new option for this restaurant. Shhhh!! Still no crowds but all the benefits. They have some greens for those trying to eat healthy. The tandoori chicken is the freshest I have ever had. I don't know if it's the time I got there 11:30 a.m but it was delicious. I saw a delivery being taken out, seems like it was for a large party or something. The food is authentic and freshly cooked. A plus is the place looks and feels very clean and is cluttered. Not dungy looking at all. If my macros could stand it I would eat here almost everyday. A must try is s hot dessert called Semiya Payasam it's made with milk, raisins and cashews. Oh! I just asked the the yelp community. The buffet is Fri-Sat-Sun 11:30-3:00 pm and the menu items change each day!

This franchise just recently opened a location in south florida. I have heard about them from my friends up north but until last year never been to one. Now we go to this one at least once a month. The appetizers are amazing and in my opinion better than the regular entrees. Chicken 65 being my favorite but chili chicken is not far behind. As the name suggests the biryani is pretty good even though it might not be the homemade biryani most people are used too. The place is amazingly clean and the operator/manager does an excellent job of maintaining the restaurant. Most desi restaurant are usually no where close to In cleanliness.

My boyfriend and I are so excited to have a new Indian restaurant to dine at. Their Chicken 65 is an appetizer but is perfect as an entree too. It is to die for. I am in love with their Chicken Tikka Masala, which comes with rice. We always get these two dishes with butter naan. Large portions, great price, authentic and FRESH food. We are more than willing to drive a little farther for that! Service was excellent every time we go also, and everything is clean and well kept. Can't wait to go again!!!

Have been here several times. Sometimes the food was great. Some times it's really bad. I really donno why the taste varies so much. The service is ok. And the price is not bad. It's ok. Mutton fry is one good dish I always have. Can try once for sure.

We went to paradise last night for the first time and we enjoyed our meal. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. We ate chicken dum biryani and it was outstanding. Also, excellent was the Andhra Chicken, and the Palak Paneer. We will return!

Finally a decent Indian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale area!!!! Chicken Biryani is awesome!!! The portions are just enough. Naan is yummy!!! Chicken Chettinad is not bad; it has extra dalchini in the garam masala mix. Chicken 65 needs some more flavor - the texture and the tenderness of the chicken is great though. Great attentive service!!!

First time trying out Paradise and I was pleasantly surprised. The lunch specials were relatively inexpensive for the quality and quantity of the food. Ordered a chicken dish and it was seasoned tastefully. The service was really, really slow considering we were the only 6 people in the restaurant. However, the food did taste fresh. Would have been helpful to get the appetizers a little more quickly though. Will try to go again on a day they offer the lunch buffet. They do not accept American Express.

Buffet today. Good selection. I don't usually do buffets but to alliterate - when with Romans - I tried the chicken biryani. To me it fell in the middle - one of the better ones I've tried, not great but definitely not the worst. Spice level manageable, especially with the raita. I had the tandoori chicken mostly. Again, not the worst but not the best. The pieces looked slightly overdone. Surprising additions and MIA items - the colored papadums - addictive. Hard boiled eggs on the salad side, but no fresh lettuce or tomatoes. The naan were good. Service was quick and efficient. The water came in glass milk bottles - cute and labor saving. Clean looking restaurant. Ditto restrooms. The buffet cost more today because of the holiday. Since I haven't been before, I don't know what other special items were on today to justify the higher price but I thought it was expensive at 14.99 per head. But what struck me most was that neither I or my husband ate very much but as soon as we came home we were both knocked out with tiredness, leaving us asking what WAS in that food??? He never takes naps but is sleeping as I write. It took me a few hours to regenerate my own energy but in fact I would love to go back to bed. So if you are suffering from insommia ...

Been to this place today for a take-away. It was 11:45am and the restaurant was just opened. There was just 3 people were having lunch. The owner told me that it would take 1 and a half hour for them to pack two briyani for me. I was like, what the... Then I had to pick from the buffet on my own in a small box given. They denied to give one more small box for naan. I was asked to stuff food in one small box for $12. There was plain basmati rice garnished with onion and it was called plain Briyani. God... There was mutton curry with big pieces of bones with very little mutton in it. Methu vada was not at all cooked and had raw batter inside. The only good thing was chicken Briyani and that could be the only reason I give two Stars here. Wonder should I really visit this place just for that briyani.

Where the locals go. It's the best...just go! One note: ya gotta know what you want, there is no English translation. Oh and make sure you come hungry. They don't have any 'side' dishes. I wanted some lentils and could not get them add they came with a whole meal. That was strange?!? Any hoo, I'm a fan....I would definitely come back!

I visit Fort Lauderdale regularly for business and frequent local restaurants during my stay there. I had been to Paradise few times and the experience has been great every time. Paradise Biryani chain is very popular here in the Northeast and this location happens to be part of that chain. I really enjoyed the Biryani's and Curries. Their Chicken 65 and Apollo Fish are my favorites. The ambiance is warm and cozy, the service is good and above all the food is delicious! I am looking forward to visit this place again during my next trip!

Very poor customer experience. We have been to this place couple of times and we have had bad experience every time. We went at 2:40 and nobody attended us and came back told that they close the kitchen at 2:45 and then they let us leave. Next time we went they wanted to charge for all of us (4) for buffet although only 1 person ate.

I'm always dining at ethnic places and I LOVE Indian cusine so I have heard about this place from a co worker and the magic of Yelp so we checked it out. It is close to the Tandoori Pizza place that I go to once in a while. We stopped by here on a late Friday evening. There were a few people all whom were Indian which was a good sign. We ordered Chicken 65, Chicken Korma, Bullet Naan and of course Chicken Biryani. And everything we asked for spicy. When I dived into the Chicken 65 (first time I've had it) it was flavorful and spicy. The biryani flavor was amazing. The korma was not my favorite korma I've had but I still enjoyed it. We came late on a Friday night and they almost ran out of everything. The biryani although very flavorful the chicken pieces were not the best. I think it was the end of the day so I didn't take away any points for that. It was Black Friday so I think the place had been crazy busy for the past few days they ran out of everything. Despite that issue, I did not take away from the overall quality of the food and the dining experience. We wanted to order some items to go but they were out of everything I wanted. I love gobi manchurian and they serve it dry here so I was disappointed I didn't get to try it. We did order just some biryani and it lasted for 3 days!! there was so much in our to go box. If you don't like spicy like real spicy this might not be the place for you to try Hyderbad style biryani. Different places have diffrerent styles of biryani and this place is more of the hyderbad style of biryani. I liked the chicken biryani more so at Tandoori as the chicken is sooo tender there but the spices here at Paradise do give the biryani a run for the money for any biryani in town. The waitress was nice and the place was clean. I would for sure come back and try some other items on the menu. Thank goodness for Mango Lassi to tame the spicy. I'd recommend you do the same if you want to try all the wonderful spicy dishes and biryani here.

I have to change my review. Over time the food quality and service had deteriorated.. The wait time is crazy and the only safe bet here is the chicken biryani.. And that's it! Every other dish we ordered has been below mediocre. Either the chef or the whole management has changed. Am done coming here.

Today is our second visit to this restaurant and surprising its good. With the first experience of having extra dose of sodium in the biryani we planned never to come back. Owner was very stubborn not to accept customers view about too much salt but we decided to come back and give one more chance to this place and it was good. We ordered chicken biryani that tastes good comes with watery raita(yogurt dressing) and tasteless gravy. Second dish was fish curry from Kerala taste good but really it's not keralite. We liked it and will come back.

"Excellent food, good ambiance, friendly service." Its a great casual environment, good ambience, the owners are hands -on. Great tasting quality food without all the feeling of heaviness. Myself not an authority on the taste of authentic hyderabadi biryani, but talking with some of my friends from hyderabad that were with me vouched for the taste, presentation and quality. Being vegetarian its always hard to find good veg-biryani at the restaurants, but veg-biryani here was excellent. Tried palak paneer and malai kofta, they were excellent too. Garlic naan and cheese naan out of the world. Definately will be visiting again to try out the other dishes. Just opened on Friday 7-12-2013 so hopefully it will keep getting better as it matures unlike few other indian restaurants around. Will definately recommend it. Its a must visit.

The reviews below HAVE to be fake. I''ve lived in a lot of small Midwestern cities, and even that food tastes more authentic than whatever we were just served. On top of this, the owner has no idea about customer service so I can't even feel bad for telling him his food is awful. I would give them an extra star because the naan was okay, but I'd give them less than one for everything else. Let's start from the beginning. We ordered our usual butter chicken (because everyone loves butter chicken) and what's called the "Paradise goat curry". The butter chicken came out with a very mediocre sauce flavored with what tasted like a store bought spice packet and the chicken was rubbery like a playtoy. I could have forgiven the quality of the chicken because I had been craving Indian food for so long, but then the goat curry came out. That curry was so bad we had to leave it there! I was raised in a very Indian family , and we never leave food behind. This wasn't worth keeping around... Who messes up butter chicken, and the namesake curry?! Now let's focus on the terrible service. The server made a small mistake with the plates of food, and the owner would not let it go! He yelled at her, slammed open the doors to the kitchen a couple of times, yelled at the chefs, went back to the dining room to yell at the server some more. It was extremely uncomfortable. He even came to our table and yelled at us for not noticing her mistake quicker. What?! Your food is terrible and you're an asshole to customers/everyone working there. I don't really care if anyone wastes their time going to eat there or not, but don't say I didn't warn you when you get last night's garbage with a $40 tab.

Best Biryani I've had in FL! I m not sure about the negative reviews on yelp but this place is awesome!!!! Like any Indian restaurant u have to know what to order and what heat level to get. We got the veg biryani, andhra chicken, dal tadka, and nan all with medium heat level...the food was delicious but the biryani was exceptional!!! It truly is "dum" biryani, the flavor is strong and the aroma of all the spices in the biryani is fragrant. Don't get discouraged by the negative reviews, GO!! and make sure to get "biryani" veg or non-veg and u won't be disappointed. For those of u who didn't have a good experience, are u sure u went to "paradise biryani pointe" off of Oakland park blvd???? Because the food here was awesome!

This had to be THE WORST Indian restaurant I have been to! The name Biryani point ... You would expect the Biryani to be on point! But unfortunately it was awful! Very dry and tasteless. It tasted like boiled rice with meat and potatoes! The only decent thing we had that night was the Chili Chicken, but everything else we ordered was tasteless. I would not be going back to this place ever.

I ordered the butter chicken and palaak paneer. I asked for mild spice. The chicken was tough and both dishes were so spicy my mouth was on fire and I could not taste them. The paneer cubes were small and rubbery. I don't know if the message they were trying to give me by making my food so spicy was don't come back. But that's what I heard...,

According to Yelp, two stars stand for "Meh. I've experienced better." and that's exactly how I feel about this place. I have visited this location five times in the last eight months or so. I go primarily because it is one of the few Indian places within reasonable distance which isn't dark or stuffed with tacky Indian artifacts. Missing blaring TVs showing Bollywood music videos is another plus. In short, I like the fact that there is plenty of natural light, floors are clean, and the decor is tolerable. The service, food, and the offered selection, unfortunately, are disappointing. I have tried their buffet which, for the price of $14.99 on weekends, is expensive. Selection is extremely limited (they had Jello with pineapple as a dessert) which defeats the point of a buffet. The same buffet, if offered for $10.99 for instance, would result in four stars because then I can see value (ambiance, food, etc.) for money. Taste and quality of chicken biryani, which I loved the first time, has gone down to the point that I don't even try it. As for the service, I have received a very cold reception every time I have been there. Given the number of options in the area, it will be a while before I visit this place again.

Same old same old. Would have given 4 starts but lately the quality, taste is on the down side. Can do better. My fav dish malai kofta.

Quality of the food here is deteriorating by the day. Especially the buffet - completely unorganized, appetizers fried in bad oil, very less variety for the $$, cold food..hardly any decent desserts, chutneys or side dishes. And for those of you who are vegetarian, ALL veggies used are FROZEN !!!! Vegetable biryani with Frozen veggies ( sigh)..not a great experience !!

I'm typically hesitant when it comes to buffets, but after eating here several times before they started the buffet and always being impressed, I was willing to give it a try. There was a nice selection to choose from but I particularly enjoyed the coconut chicken, goat curry and biryani. There is also a nice salad and dessert selection. Although it was fairly busy, the buffet was well maintained and I never had to wait for what I wanted. I went during the week and it is my understanding, there are even more options to choose from on the weekend. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back for the weekend buffet.

Whenever I am in this area I always stop and get my Mutton Biryani, garlic and cheese Naan. Always have enough to take home and have later on. Food is excellent, service is prompt and professional and the managers/owners have always been courteous and want to make sure we enjoyed our food and service. Great place!

India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The ever-increasing fan base of Indian food around the New York city is steadily increasing because of the large number of Indians who traveled to the land of dreams. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Indian food also boasts of some popular non-vegetarian dishes too. Few examples are the famous Butter Chicken, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are enough to satisfy your taste buds.
Indian food has gained reputation all over the world especially in the United States. You can find many places serving the appetizing Indian food across all major cities in the US. India is a diverse country with different food culture originated from different parts of the country. While the Northern region boasts tandoori dishes and korma offering royal taste, the Western Ghats offers sea foods that is made in naturally sweet tender coconut milk. The South Indian food servers a quality of different dishes made from rice accompanied with spicy chutneys, curries and famous sambhar. Also, the Indian sweets are a delight to relish. If you ever want to have a burst of sugar syrup in mouth, don't forget to try few Bengali Sweets. Be it spicy, tangy, or sweet flavor, you can find everything in the Indian cuisine. Be assured that the melody of spices will surely bring delight to you.

Excellent Indian Cuisine. I have tried other indian restaurants but this one is far the best in Broward. Service is very good too. Love their chicken tikka masala and the chicken 65.

Great Indian food. Chicken Sahi Korma was delicious, fresh and a large portion. In my opinion, better than all the other Indian restaurants in the area. Will defiantly eat there again.

First time visit , was very surprised by the lunch price $14.99 is a bit expansive . It's a buffet for lunch but had to wait for food to be refill , will not return !

Updating my review as the restaurant manager took the effort to reach out to me and mention that they would work to improve their service. A positive attitude can go a long way. I'll give these guys another shot.

Wow what an amazing place to have authentic biriyani.. They serve wonderful food there.. Especially the Goat biriyani.. Love it!!! Highly recommended for people who are craving tasteful biriyani..

(3)Asian G.
