This is my favorite place to have lunch from! They deliver which is convenient, sometimes there is a wait but they let you know ahead of time. I never mind though, it is worth it. I always order the same two things, either the Breakfast egg wrap with jalapeño, onion, bacon and cheese or the Greek Salad with Cajun Chicken. The salad has plenty of toppings and more than enough for one serving, i always share. My co-workers order from there as well and no complaints!

Great little restaurant/ diner! Clean and friendly! Excellent breakfast! Large breakfast ~lunch~ dinner menu! Located in a strip mall. It's worth looking for! Reasonable prices. When we visit this area, we will definitely be eating here!

This is a quiet and friendly little diner. The people are very nice. The food is delicious. It is a good place to enjoy an unhurried meal. The prices are very reasonable and the food is seasoned very nicely. I really love their ranch sauce and their French fries are amazing. They make a very flavorful philly steak.

Agree with the other reviews. I prefer to support the small local businesses also. Breakfast today for 2.99 incl coffee, 2 eggs, potato and bagel. Great! Had lunch there a few days ago which also was quite good, so thought I'd head back for breakfast. Place is clean and folks are friendly.

This place is overall amazing! Free wifi, 3 televisions and the food is to die for! They serve breakfast till 3 which os perfect for me since I wake up late lol. They're food is made from scratch! No gimmick! The owner is very kind and very friendly. He also takes into consideration of how you want your food. The people around the area very friendly as well. If you want excellent food, great customer service, and great vibes I highly suggest this place! Plus they cater and deliver! OMG Just try the Haitian food and they're subs. You won't want to eat anywhere else! I've been eating from them for YEARS!

The first thing that greets you as you enter H & R Grill is a sign that says "Attention All Customers Take Out Meals Are Not To Be Eaten In The Dining Room". The signs are posted in several locations in the restaurant. The service, while polite, isn't anything to write home about. The diner-style breakfast is decent, but nothing special. They have--on a separate menu that they bring out when asked--a Haitian menu as well. They were out of fried chicken when we ordered it, but we were offered griot. I'm giving them an extra star for the Haitian menu, which deserves attention!

Really wish I could've tried their breakfast today, but I am thoroughly happy with their sandwiches. I had a half buffalo chicken sandwich for $7 and my boyfriend had a full Philly cheesesteak for $9. All I can say is holy portions! Everything came hot off the grill, made to order. They serve breakfast until 2 every day, so we will try to get them another day. Place was clean and homely. Staff was friendly and attentive. It's located in a little plaza a little north of Oakland park blvd, on pine island drive.

Went here because my 1st choice didn't have the griot ready and they advised me it would take 30 minutes and that was a buzz kill being how hungry I was . The portions are small and the owner assured me that 12 ounces. In arriving home I weighed it and It weighed at 8 ounces . The tostones were not fresh and very hard. The food did taste good but the service isn't and the integrity of the restaurant is bitter cold. The owner has a arrogant touch to him and comes across with it verbally . Customer Service is about respectfully serving the customer and they have a hard time understanding how to effectively do that.

It is always strange and unnerving to walk into a restaurant that is completely empty of customers. This was the case last Sunday lunch. However it was immaculately clean. The decor is sparse and you can tell it's all about the food. Which was actually pretty good. We had the chicken griot, a burger and a steak sub to go. Portions huge. Burger very thick and fresh tasting. I loved the french fries - crispy without being greasy, I took them home (couldn't eat them all) and to my surprise they all reheated fine over the next couple days. Which almost never happens. The service was also good - quick and friendly. The only issue I have is that I had an amazon voucher which I intended to use. Should have shown it right away, but since I had gotten a reminder email from amazon two days before to use before expiration I thought all was fine. This was not the case. I was told they were no longer accepting it. No rhyme or reason and the manager did not come out to talk to me about it. Had I known I would not have gone up to the $20. Partly my fault, but I wish they had had a sign on the door informing people of this. That would have been simple enough. It's ok - amazon worked with me but it was not pleasant. Food 3 stars. Service 2.5. Overall experience brought it down to 2. In a nutshell, the food and service was good - I just have mixed feelings about returning. Although I probably will.

Second time I've been here.. Staff is very friendly, very diverse as well. Our waiter was so sweet! The food is good too! There aren't many Haitian restaurants in Broward so this was a treat. Thanks HR!

Great Breakfast & lunch in Sunrise!!! I am writing this because whenever I discover a good non-corporate place to eat I want to get the word out. This place is in a very quiet plaza, the only way it will survive is by word of mouth!!!! Please try it and tell everyone! I just discovered a brand new restaurant in Sunrise that is fantastic for breakfast, lunch or dinner. H & R Grill is located on the NW Corner of Pine Island & Oakland Park next to the Lobster House. We were enticed by the $2.49 breakfast special advertised outside the establishment. For $2.49 you get 2 eggs, home fries, grits or oatmeal & toast. I of course opted for the very reasonably priced corned beef hash & eggs with hash browns & toast ($6.49). The corned beef hash was perfectly fresh and crispy exactly how I requested it, the eggs were also a perfect over easy with plenty of yoke (which is rare) and last but not least the hash browns were delicious!!! We also tried the french toast which was finished off with powdered sugar & cinnamon, yummy! Since it was after 12 noon my husband opted for lunch instead of breakfast - he chose the steak & cheese with french fries. The sandwich was over-filled with fresh and very flavorful meat, (I would guess it is a shaved rib-eye, but that is just a guess) with melted cheese, mushrooms & onions. It was really good & I believe the french fries were hand cut but I can't tell for sure!! When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and decor. I think they really did a good job with the atmosphere. It seems this place has a Spanish influence because some of the specialties were meals incorporate rice,beans & plantains but it has something for everyone. They serve breakfast until 3 pm 7 days per week, have a large variety of burgers and various other items. I am looking forward to returning to try the marinated pork chunks with rice, beans & plantains!!

I just tried this place today! It's awesome! There is a huge selection on the menu! They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner! I ordered a burger! It was great! Well done, well made, so delicious! It had a classic and simple feel to it! You cannot get any burger...I mean better! I am not sure how long this restaurant existed, but I hope it lasts many years! The waitress was very friendly! Also, I can tell that the cook loves what he does! I heard him singing from the dining room! I have no complaints!
