A friend of mine is a constant regular here, EVERY WEEKEND he goes there. So I went to check it out and see what it's all about. A huge night club in a shopping plaza around Sunrise and University, open til 4am. There's a small restaurant across the street everyone goes to after the club, their good is pretty good, but back to Congas. The staff is very nice, bartenders are quick, the restrooms are very well maintained, which surprised me for the good, I wasn't expecting that, a definite plus. They have some food, I haven't tried yet. They play a range of different Spanish music. Bachata, merengue, salsa, etc. if you're looking for a place to dance, this is it. The drinks are not expensive at all and everyone is there to dance! I went a few times & the staff is the same, which is a good sign of good management and happy employees. They host concerts there as well which get sold out very quick!

I live out of town and wanted to get my salsa on. My family did a little research and turned up with this place. We went on Sat night and went to Melodias Taberna right next door to Congas nightclub. We got a table immediately and found the bottle service to be reasonably priced. The music was fantastic (Colombian music) and the crowd was a mix of young and older. Although I went with a large group which is always more fun, everyone around me was having fun. I highly recommend this place if you're there to dance.

We had moved to South Florida in May and by August we were missing Salsa dancing and Chinchorros. I heard of this place from my bartender at La Bamba II and he recommended Congas/ Melodias. Congas has the night club feel. I went to Melodias because it was free entrance, no smoking inside, it played Salsa & even Vallenato, and had a bit more of an intimate feel. I don't recall the price of the heineken, but I do recall wishing the beer was colder. Next time I'll go for Corona Extra which tastes good even if its not THAT cold lol. I was only here briefly (at most an hour and a half) but boy did we dance our puertorrican butts off. I would return for dancing. I just hope those beers are colder next time around.

The night club has a mixed crowd music and sound system was very good. We got a table and decided to have dinner the service was good but dinner was horrible, we asked for Churrasco first sign was the waitress never ask me how I wanted my steak cooked the meat was tough and cold (el bistec más malo que he comido en mi vida) If not for the dinner I would have given the place 4 strs

Did my research before going there, I expected an older crowd, knew the price range, and the music selection. I reserved a table, went with my own group of people for my birthday and had a BLAST.

Went with my friend in his bday. Tough crowd, mostly older units (40+). The seniors were having fun but the sprinkle of younger people were all looking glum like their parents dragged them there.

I don't like going to clubs at all, I much rather prefer a low key bar or lounge. I went to Congas on a Thursday night because I had a bunch of aunts and cousins in town and they wanted to get their salsa on being Puerto Rican and all. So we all get dressed up and I was the only guy with a bunch of my crazy Puerto Rican aunts and cousins. We get to the door and the tool security guard doesn't allow two of my cousins in because they are under 21. So they have to leave in go home and then the guard pats me down and noticed I had cigarettes on me and ask me for one(doucher). So we get into the club and grab a table which was no problem because the place was dead on a supposed ladies night were they sent two of my cousins home lol. The drinks were free for the girls but not for me because I have that famous XY chromosome. I had a Corona which was $6, so the prices weren't too bad. There was a decent sized dance floor maybe even too big since they didn't have enough people to fill it up. They also had another room of in the distance that looked like an entirely different place. It had booths and tall tables and a live Spanish band was playing music in there. The place got a little more crowded later on but still nothing significant to what a club atmosphere is usually like. I enjoyed my time here only for the fact that I was enjoying time with my family. I would not come back unless I was dragged back by a hot girl who wanted me to go.
