Great Food perfectly spiced and obviously authentic. The proprietor Chelly is so customer focused. She wants every customer to have a great experience. Wish we lived closer...

I tried the chicken patty and it was good it had a great spice to it! I'm looking foward to going back to explore the other items on the menu. All the food looks fresh!

Great food. Great service. Warm atmosphere. Tons of yummy food for a great price. When owner discovered that I was vegetarian, she served me a delicious off menu stew! Everyone in my party ordered something different and everyone loved their meals! I will be going back again Monday!

I have ordered from this restaurant five times. My first impression has changed tremendously. The steamed veggies are too soft. I didn't enjoy my chicken patty or the curry chicken, the seasoning was bitter. The ox tails the first time I went were delicious, but the second time, I wasn't satisfied. I received more gravy than meat with my rice. The jerk chicken was dry and dark, I thought she gave me jerk pork. The owner is very sweet. I won't be back.

The moment I saw "Jamaican jerk chicken" on the sign at Chelly's I was sold! First, I'd like to say that Chelly and her mom are the most welcoming, unassuming, genuinely kind people I've met since I've moved to Florida from Manhattan. I go there once a week at least after I ride/train my horse, which is about 20 minutes away, and definitely when I go to the hair salon next door. Chelly's mom does all the cooking and will "custom" prepare anything you want. I LOVE jerk sauce, so after they carefully cut up my jerk chicken breast, I smother it with this amazing homemade jerk sauce and I have it with a yummy coconut rice and sweet plantains...all for roughly $8. Lunch specials, which Chelly will extend way beyond lunch is $4.99. For the same portions. I also have to give a big thanks to my new hairdresser, Paula from Sophisto Salon. I've only recently moved to Ft Lauderdale from Manhattan. I needed a local hairdresser. I have been going to Bumble & Bumble uptown in the city for a decade or more--they are located two doors down from my building. I searched for a Bumble & Bumble sister salon here and found one adjacent to Chelly's. I had just finished working/riding my horse, was hot and sweaty, and hungry, and had a wait at the salon. I asked the salon owner where I might eat and she suggested Chelly's. I will be forever appreciative for that recommendation as I have not only found outstanding quality food but I've made lovely new friends.

This is the best Jamaican food I've had ever. I'm new to the area & decided to check this place out after reading the reviews and I'm so glad I did. I had the jerk chicken with red beans & rice and ordered oxtails with pigeon peas & rice and it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for authentic Jamaican food. You will not be disappointed!
