I love the food here, it has to be one of the best spot's to get down home Haitian cuisine. They have two locations, one in Lauderhill and the other is in North Lauderdale. The owner and his staff are super friendly. The chicken and sauce with rice (The rice is called "Diri Jon Jon") is something to live for. I always tell the owner "The food he makes crosses the color line." I believe everybody will enjoy any one single item he has to offer. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed! Happy Eating!!

BEST SPOT FOR HAITIAN FOOD!!! The food is super fresh and DELICIOUS!! I absolutely love this restaurant ... The fried plantain is fresh, the foods are cooked to order,.. I love this place.

This store really deserves no stars but it wouldn't allow me to continue without putting a star i gave this place so many chances even after my fiancé said the food smelt spoiled and I've noticed that it did but you know I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was just a bad batch this is our third night in a row this week I love this place so much I always get the griot complete meal I even got family members hooked I bit a piece just now and the smell and the taste knocked my ass out I literally screamed and spit it out my fiancé thought I bit my finger I was do hysterical if I could describe the smell old meat sitting in a dumpster I wash my hands with this place I'm sure the health department has never step foot in there how they carrying on ugh !

I ordered :Legume,black bean sauce & white rice What did I get?:black rice and green peas & Legume The rice was great,but the legume it's not the kind i'm used to but It still would've tasted good but I can just tell that they use those artificial, bottled garlic,and I am not a picky eater but those makes a BIG difference,I had to force myself to eat it,please stop using artificial garlic! My Husband got: Griot and the black rice,his food was freaking good,I would say make the griot a little less salty and you are a winner

The food was okay but the only thing I really enjoyed was the macaroni and they didn't give me enough of that. The rice tasted almost burned.

Like others have said aesthetically, the restaurant gets one star. It all looks old which isn't a big deal so much as the food. I ordered the griot lunch special for $4.99 (which comes with a free soda) and I got a small Styrofoam tray with four bite sized pieces of griot (about the size of chicken nuggets at Mcdonalds), three pieces of lettuce and a slice of tomato, and rice. Maybe I'm spoiled, but at other places, Jamaican at least, I get a bit of a bigger serving of the main dish. As for the taste, I haven't eaten enough Griot to really judge it but it was decent. The rice wasn't all that great but wasn't terrible. Will I be back? Probably not unless I get a bigger portion.
