I enjoy eating here, it's nice to sit outside for brunch on the weekend and sip a bellini or a bloody mary. I've been for brunch and dinner and they were both good. The food is solid-the menu is nothing spectacular-they have the normal brunch food (the eggs benedict were tasty), and they have paninis, salads, and basic entrees. My husband ordered the prime rib eye steak for dinner once, it came with a large arugula salad, and it was very good. Cooked perfectly and high quality meat and ingredients. Everything I've eaten in the café is solid, high quality food, and they have a full bar. The service is okay, staff is friendly and helpful, and we've never had an experience that was less than good, but nothing that was fabulous either considering the prices are a little on the higher side. I'd give the café 3.5 stars. Now, I love the market. They have a section in the back with all the hot prepared foods, and they have a big variety. I wouldn't come here to buy the staples- milk, eggs, produce...-but the prepared food is very good. They have delicious Cornish hens, seafoods, and duck. They also carry a wide assortment of caviar, cheese, meats, and anything you might need to buy if you were throwing a dinner party. They have a wide selection. And I love the bakery! Everything I've gotten has been excellent-from the macaroons, to key lime tart, to nutella brownies-and their breads are awesome. I'd definitely give the actual market 4.5 stars for the variety and specialty items they have.

This place has a nice market as well as a breakfast/lunch menu. The space is larger outside than inside but overall there are a good amount of seats regardless of where you are sitting. The service here is very slow, so you must come in with an open mind of being prepared to wait for every/anything you may need. It seems that the servers get lost at odd times even when the restaurant is quiet. Getting to the food, everything we ordered was fresh and excellent. We ordered a variety of things ranging from the egg sangwich (excellent and very big), eggs Benedict (accompanied with potatoes that was very good), steak and eggs, yogurt parfaits, and omelettes. When it comes to the food here, you can't go wrong. Be prepared to pay when it is said and done. For breakfast, it came out to about 30/person for 1 dish and a juice/coffee. Typically that is what you can expect to pay for lunch and even get away with dinner in certain places, so this is definitely a pricey spot nonetheless. Slow service, expensive dishes, but great food. Buon appetito.

Boy has this place gone downhill. The waitress showed up after waiting fifteen minutes, took a drink order, threw some menus down and ran away. Then, after fifteen minutes, she reappeared with the news that they were out of rolls, hand rolls, and tapas. She said I could go into the market and buy some sushi if I really wanted it. Bong, what the have in a Jewish deli, a Ruben, yeah, with potato salad (which has always been very good); she said, "French fries?" I told her twice more, "No, French fries, potato salad." She finally got it. No soup on the menu, but they did have Manhattan clam chowder and chicken/corn. This intuition should not be allowed to get away with removing 25 items from their menu without either reprinting or putting a notice on the page. The napkins have gone small and cheap. And the Ruben; my gosh, it was a Ruben slider for $15.95 and $2.95 extra for potato salad. They forgot the Swiss and the corned beef had NO flavour. I'm not coming in here again except to shop for a few items only available here. The Delaware Market in Hollywood and if I need corned beef I think El Presidente's is better quality at one third the price.

I went to Epicure after an event nearby. I was with my husband and my mom. We used to go to the Epicure on Alton Road and we loved it. We had never been to this one. When we got there at about 9:30 pm a few people were eating outside. We decided to eat inside. There were plenty of tables and chairs. Since we weren't real hungry Mom and I ordered soup. I ordered matzo ball and mom ordered split pea. My matzo ball soup was just okay. It was a pretty good size serving. Mom's split pea wasn't hot enough and it was very thick, almost like pudding. Mom sent it back and got the matzo ball soup. Since it was over Passover we got matzohs. Mom said her soup was okay. Clyde ordered a pastrami sandwich with fries. He was supposed to get chips, but they never came. Clyde's sandwich was small and looked more like a panini then a deli sandwich. I tasted it and the flavor was very good. It was lean but it was a little dry and should have been larger. The sandwich and fries cost $17.00, which I think is expensive. I didn't look around the store, so I can't review their groceries, prepared meals, and whatever else they sell. Based on my one visit to their restaurant I'm not impressed.

A terrific variety of foods that range from good to outstanding. Staff is excellent. Prices are aggressive but worth it. We keep going back and use this as a favored place to buy food.

This market is the best for buying delicacies and specialty foods. Very pricey items though so we come here once in a while to get certain things that we don't find in the regular supermarket. Today I had lunch at the terrace and I'm very happy I decided to stay out and enjoy the weather here since the outside tables are neat and very comfy. We had sushi and my honest opinion is that apart from the overpriced tuna salad which was nice but nothing special to the freshness of the fish, the rice is not sushi rice! Or at least it's not cooked as sushi rice, we had niguiris and a roll and both were made with this short grain risotto style rice which had a particular flavor and texture not found in sushi. Although it does not taste bad, it is different and I'm sure that not as pleasant for everyone craving this kind of food. 10 points for service though.

After proofing this review I think it should be titled "Ode to a Sandwich": I am not sure if the cafe at Epicure Market really deserves a 5 star rating, but I couldn't hold black with this review since the sandwich I had there today was truly worthy of 5 stars: Tower of Nova Scotia ($15.95). Born and raised in NYC, I have had my share of smoked salmon from some great delis, appetizing stores, and fine food markets. The quality of this salmon was top notch: not too salty or fatty and sliced to just the right thickness. The sandwich itself was just a little off the beaten path from the traditional Bagel, Cream Cheese, & Smoked Salmon. This was like a Smoked Salmon Club: a bagel sliced lengthwise into four parts and layered with the salmon, tomato, capers, and a great tasting creamy herb dressing. Now one might balk and say, 16 bucks for a fish sandwich? Well, first, this is an instance where the quality is worth it. Second, the sandwich is huge. It can really feed two people (but of course I managed to finish all of it because it was so delicious!). Third, the amount of salmon on the sandwich is ridiculous. I have never paid less $9 or $10 for a smoked salmon sandwich and I have never received half as much salmon. So what about the other food? I also got a side order of Israeli Salad for $2.75 extra which was fresh, perfectly dressed, and absolutely delicious. Husband has the Epicure Special Milanese ($13.99) , a huge breaded steak sandwich that was cooked perfectly & had an excellent flavor. I used to frequent the Epicure Market when I lived on Miami Beach many years ago "in my former life". When I went there recently I was disappointed to see how it had changed. It seemed smaller and the variety of food did not seem as large. This Epicure Market in North Miami Beach, a former Rascal House, is much larger. The cafe is small but it serves a huge variety of food: breakfast items, burgers, soups, pizza, paninis, pasta, meat & fish entrees, sushi, and a juice bar. I did not think a market was the right place to order sushi but the sushi chef was cranking it out and it looked fantastic. Rolls, including "fusion rolls" made with all sorts of funky stuff were $12-$14. Our server was lovely. He was patient while explaining the food items and kept our drinks filled. Whether you are taking out or eating in, Epicure Market is not cheap. However, I believe the portion sizes and quality are well worth it. I am looking forward to returning to try other items (although I really wish Epicure Market was in my own neighborhood!)

This place was really nice. Good food. Good service. A little too expensive. We might go back. The location is great. I guess they charge for the location. Big variery of food. My husband was not happy with his sandwich.

This restaurant used to be my favorite place to come in this area but after waiting over an hour for food, getting what looked to be undercooked food, sending it back and not having my second option comped, I can not give this place a good rating. The customer service is horrendous. Overpriced, rude staff, management that needs to take a few customer service courses, and a stinky gross bathroom to boot. Stay away!

Amazing selection of fresh food at a little pricey (comparable to whole foods). They have prepared food that is by the pound (unlike whole foods it's not a self serve but counter style order). Includes a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seatings. Serves healthy food that is straight from their grocery delivery so you're guaranteed to get the best quality ingredients. Their salads are huge for a good price. Couldn't even finish mine. Includes a sushi bar. Fresh seafood counter looks great. Been here several times for dining and picking up food during my visit to Miami from Orlando ( where we don't have this store). Highly recommended to check out but don't go if you're on a budget.

Epicure to me, is overpriced for what you get. Small portions of soup, just average pastrami sandwiches, you can find better. It is a large deli in a great location, but the food is not all that great. I would look for something better than Epicure when I'm craving good deli food.

I thought I would give the whole Epicure thing another try at another location to make up for my last tragic episode at Epicure in Coral Gables. Oops! Wrong. Sadly, I fear the higher ups at Epicure are not keeping up with what is happening around them. Serving stale pastry items isn't going to endear your customers to you. Nor serving a ruben that should have stayed in the kitchen for CPR. Anemic serving size with burnt toast? Do you think people won't notice? And why, oh why is there a real estate office on the way to the restroom...or other entrance. I was sad that the legendary Rascal House was closed to open this mediocre temple of out dated food. As for the market...please. 4 dollars for an oversized factory farmed apple. Please do yourselves a favor and go to some other markets around town and see what's happening. There are quality people producing quality food out there now. We don't have to eat your mass produced salty food.

You will think I will go to Epicure everyday since I live in walking distance from the establishment, but I don't - and I kick myself for that lol. I have never had a bad meal atEpicure. I am not even a pastry person but everytime I go there, I tend to try a pastry or two. The staff is professional and nice. The is ample parking at the back. Grab a table outside and enjoy the good ole florida breeze while enjoying your meal or coffee

Love the market (5 stars), like the restaurant (3 stars), so we will settle on 4 stars here. The market is expensive as hell, but if you are looking for top of the line (bread, meat, etc), this is the place. Not somewhere to do all the grocery shopping (unless you are in a tax bracket several levels above mine). The restaurant is just ok for me. Definitely not bad or anything, but I have yet to order anything that blew my socks off. It, like the market, is also expensive. Also worth noting that they have a bunch of pre-made options to take home with you (think Whole Foods, but actually tastes good)

I went for Sunday brunch. Service was terrible. The food took forveverrrrrr and the order came out wrong. Management didn't seem to care that they are failing. What a shame, this place has so much potential.

Best bakery and deli market. Yes there are items you can pay $$$ but trust me, the bakery and deli are worth it. If you eat in, try inside its better if its too hot outside. The burgers are awesome so are the desserts. You can also take out! I recommend the bakery first, fresh bread everyday and desserts. If you don't want to cook there's already cooked food salads and everything g you can think of. Trust me it's worth the money.

We were four people driving around and we noticed this place that looked so nice so we decided to give them a try. WHAT A BIG FAILURE! Service SLOOOOOOOW.... Internet was down so the lady was freaking out and couldn't sell me the muffin since it wasn't on her list. All this after standing there for 12min looking at her freak out. How hard is it to write down what you sold and then put it in the system. Ordered a cappuccino and after 2 zips We noticed there was lipstick stain all over the cup. I ordered a Latte and it tasted like hot water with foam. Will NEVER go back and will NOT recommend this place to anybody. UNLESS you are going to come and sit with your laptop and drink a coke. That you can't go wrong with that one.

This review is exclusively for the bar. We went yesterday to have a coffee and some cold beverages. The service was friendly, always with a smile, but slow and disorganized, even with their walkie talkies that are supposed to help them. The prices are high, and it's not worth unless you want to sit on the sidewalk and get an espresso.

Standing on the site of Miami's famed and now-departed Rascal House, Epicure Market's cafe does the memory no favors. Long gone are the early bird specials, briskets, and giant slices of cake so large you could wedge them against a door--and so are the grandparents and the baskets of free rolls some of them would bicker for. All things must pass, and time moves on indeed. While the Epicure Aventura market is a sleek, airy feeling deli with much of the same food you'll get at their Miami Beach branch, the cafe is another story. The cafe serves up over-priced, bland, and unremarkable dishes, not so far from hospital cafeteria cuisine. It's as though the chef has been advised to avoid spices at all costs, so as not to upset delicate palates. Pricey smoothies satisfy, but eggs are consistently over-cooked and dry. The market is good, but give the overpriced, disappointing cafe a miss.

Horrible service, horrible food. Took 30 minutes to beg someone to take our money because our waitress (they assumed) must have been on break. Never order the huevos rancheros. It is literally 2 over cooked eggs on top of 2 corn tortillas and smothered with what tasted like marinara sauce. Absolutely disgusting! We would have loved to send it back if we ever saw anyone to after our food was brought to our table.

Here's a perfect spot to while away an hour or two while you take in the incredibly interesting international atmosphere of Sunny Isles. Sit on the patio at a very pretty bistro table, ask your server for a cappuccino, short glass of vino, and homemade pastry and listen to visitors from every continent. Seriously, English is the foreign language and the travellers are super high end, well-dressed, gorgeous moneyed crowd. A nice stroll on the beach at Pelican Pier, a very popular park and green space across the street, beautiful selection of high end take out in the shoppe. Just a really special place to explore. Love it!

Expensive. Came here for mid morning breakfast. I ordered the turkey club and my boyfriend ordered the French toast. The turkey club was stacked with about 2" of turkey. A lot of turkey. Sandwich was well put together. Regular toast, not thick Texas toast or a baguette. The order of the French toast was the oddest order of French toast I have seen. It looked like someone took a French baguette, covered it in brown sugar and served it. Mind you the toast actually had a consistency of pound cake. It was very strange. The plate was drizzled in chocolate without powdered sugar. It was also an enormous plate of toast. Anyone would have his or her fill of French toast for a year after eating this monstrosity. It's almost a Man v Food type order. My boyfriend got an order of apple juice. For the price I sarcastically said it better be fresh squeezed. It was. It was extremely pulpy and foamy. I'll stick to the water. The service was naturally a little slow. I understand this to be the Miami culture. Overall feeling: Meh. Not impressed. Will keep looking for breakfast spot.

Me and my wifes order came back wrong, I am allergic to onion and they gave me onions. They gave my wife raw eggs when we asked for scrambled. Bad service and the manager asked us multiple times what we ordered. That tells me no attention being made. Never coming back here again.

I am a fan of these types of markets because although pricey you pay for quality. Unfortunately, this weekend I wanted to buy fresh salmon. So I thought. After two pounds of salmon for the family imagine a disappointment when I baked and prepared dinner only to realize it was spoiled salmon. Horrible!!!!!!Definitely upset!!!! What is the time frame for which they pull fish before they do not sell it to their customers????! One would expect quality. You think epicure would keep on top of their fish department. So skeptical. I probably will not be back to the meat or fish counter.

    (1)

Horrible! You will get a better meal at McDonalds, at least you will know what you are getting. Ordered Snapper with rice, fish was below average from frozen which is incredible considering that you are practically surrounded by ocean. Rice was cold and as plain as you get when you get it at a Chinese restaurant. Oh yes did I mentioned overpriced?

This place is very dirty. This place when you order food, it's pathetic and half of the time the food that is served to you is bad. My husband mentioned it to the waiter and the owner or manager could care less. Don't waste your time here.

Great international selection of top quality Products insanely overpriced same as Moscow or Dubai. But sometimes, you know you are worth it! The place to find European speciality food you are craving what ever it cost!

  • Nora A.

From the first glance it has all the elements of first rate gourmet market: variety of products; quality of fresh produce, meats, seafood and fish; cheeses; deli. Fresh, appetizing smell through out the market. Crisp looking uniforms of sales staff, equipped with ear pieces - very high tech! But then you start asking the staff questions about products they sell and immediately understand that no one trains this people! They don't know what they sell, don't know names or difference between products. Finally when you go through several sales associates, like 4 or 5, it takes them forever to serve you. Except for butcher and fish mongrel who are older, experienced professionals, the rest are kids who no one bothered to teach the trade. Before you charge $50 for a pound of sturgeon you have to know what it is and how you slice it and pack it! Disappointing!

Its a great outdoor cafe with specialty foods. I come here 1x a week to get my favorite salad and a pecan pie dessert. This place is a restaurant/mini grocery with fine selections very pricey. The staff is professional the neighborhood is mid/upper class and tourists.

Ripoff report!!! Breakfast is $10.99 for 3 eggs, and toast. No potatoes, no grits, no bagel. Lunch special $35 sea bass plate with blah blah blah... Who cares what's w it, it's a lunch for $35!?! Might as well write "price gouge" on top of menu! My 5 star hotel might charge these prices justifiably !

Very very poor service. About 5 servers walked by without acknowledging. I went to the cafe bar and 3 people stared at me without saying anything. At least say "we'll be right with you" or something. On top of that, I paid $12 for an orange juice and a cafe con leche. Why pay a premium when the service is way below average? I do not recommend this place.

    (1)
  • Rho L.

Absolutely terrible, overpriced pastries, with lousy service. I rarely speak so abhorrently about anywhere but I was more than displeased with my experience at Epicure. I bought all sorts of different sweet and savory goods hoping to fill my belly with treats. Unfortunately, I took a bite out of each one and discarded the rest. Waste. Secondly, the young lady who assisted (or didn't) at the counter was obviously bored, irritated and would have rather been elsewhere.

If you have an hour and a half to wait for a burger and salad and then have your order wrong, this is the place to go. Horrible service. Ordered a burger medium plus and it was served rare. Sent it back. Waited another 20 minutes for it to be served. The wait staff was not attentive. Complaints to the sever were dismissed. No manager in sight. Won't return. Ever.

Nice market with outside seating, a little pricey for sandwiches however they were high quality but I was a little disappointed when I asked for water I was pushed bottled water. Service was good, and the bakery had some amazing cupcakes, I forgot to take any pictures of them. I ordered a Chicken & Blue Cheese Panini which had roasted shredded chicken, Blue cheese spread with swiss cheese and bacon bits. It was very good and served with some great chips. The only thing that I disliked about this place is that for water and two sandwiches and "bottled" water it cost nearly $45, which was too much for lunch. My dinner at El Tropico down the street with two entrees and an appetizer was actually cheaper and in my opinion better, but don't get me wrong the food at Epicure was good, just not worth the price.

Came here for a late breakfast/lunch on a Sunday. I ordered a $15 croque madame and my gf ordered a tuna salad wrap and cole slaw. I should have known my sandwich was going to be a disaster when they asked me what bread I wanted. It came out like a Panini with a piece of the bread cut out for the egg yolk. Pretty much what I could have done at home. My gf's tuna wrap wasn't anything special. Overpriced and average food at best. There are much better alternatives.

I'm not sure what management is doing to their employees here but they were PISSED. I was actually worried that the cashier was going to reach across the belt and slap me for wanting to purchase something. The ladies behind the bread counter were surly and even the dude sweeping the floors (in the middle of business hours) was bumping into people without saying a word. I guess this is what happens when you lose almost the entirety of your market share to Whole Foods and Fresh Market. Can't see any reason to come back and get treated like crap while shelling out big bucks for the same stuff you can get at Whole Foods.

This is where you shop when you win lotto. Woo hoo everything they have is pricey but worth every penny!! Top notch bakery section, an artisanal cheese display that makes me thank the Gods of curds and whey for the magic that can be done with some milk and a very tony selection of wines and champagnes. Added plus? WOO HOO this location has spirits; hard liquor! The Good stuff!! I splurged on some Dewar's honey flavored scotch and felt like I was on top of the world. The suggestion for crackers and brie from the floor staff made me a favorite of my party/destination and a glance here and there at their meats and produce assure me that next time I made some overtime, I'm treating myself (like a culinary glutton) to an afternoon shopping at Epicure! Can I also add this store is extremely clean and well maintained. . .

I liked this place just minus a few things. So, I absolutely am a fan of gourmet markets such as this and wholefoods, however, a lot of the times with these places, come's a snooty attitude, that I just can't hang with. I can understand paying for quality which I do for the most part, though I don't pay for bad snooty service. Located off Collins ave in a shopping center, the market is quite appealing with its European, gourmet feel. The store is bright, cheery and clean. They provide regular market items with most of the items being unique. They also have a cafe within the market that serves I believe breakfast and lunch. I only got a few items here. I had some cheese stuffed tomatoes and zucchinis marinated in a rich flavorful olive oil. It tasted fantastic!! Certainly pricey for a little container but well worth it. I also ordered some pre made cherry crepes to make for breakfast a few mornings which were good but nothing spectacular. I do like the arrangement of the market and found that most of the items were presented well and quite appealing. Especially the pastry area that I had to stay away from : ( Compared to other markets I visited in the area, I found the service here to be much less personable, a little more stuck up and certainly less friendly. Overall, I enjoyed most of the items they offer though, find the market incomparable to places such as Wholefoods. I also found some of there items to be way overpriced considering what it was. I did appreciate how well maintained and clean the market was though. I was really turned off with how insincere the service was. Don't think I would come here regularly.

Ripoff report!! I have always know the food was good and it was a ripoff. Often the prices on the menu are 1-2$ less than what actually pops up on the receipt. But I encountered an all new low from them today I asked for grilled chicken for the kids lunch box rather than fried chicken tenders. They said no problem. The already overpriced 12.95 lunchbox came out to $17.95 for the change. Really?! And I said to the waitress would have been nice to know before and she sort of shrugged her shoulders. So that is $18 for kids portion of grilled chicken fries and 5 pieces of melon. They make it sound like things are supreme quality and healthy with the title of all natural but for that much money it should be organic.

When arriving from Ft. Lauderdale airport, my first stop is to Epicure. This is a great lunch spot where I recommend the tuna salad salad. It's a generous portion and would be best shared with someone (this is one place where I'll take the leftover home with me... because the tuna salad is that good, and makes for a great lunch on the beach the next day). Although they have split bottles of champagne, prices can be steep. (Make sure you check the label and get what you ordered.). I mostly just get a large bottle of San Pellegrino (to stay hydrated in the Florida sun) or a frozen coffee drink (like Starbuck's frapuccino, but better... of course!). On weekends, you can catch some live music, usually a flamenco guitarist plays for the brunch crowd. The service is slow, but fairly friendly. This is my reminder to "Relax! On vacation now." The outdoor patio has ample seating, but only some tables have shade from the overhang or an umbrella. The Good: Quality ingredients, healthy choices, & gourmet selections. In addition to the restaurant, there is also a bakery, bar, & food market (good for basic staples like coffee, creamer & chocolate... or if you're entertaining guests and want to impress them with your culinary skills without having to actually do much cooking). The Bad: Thought Whole Foods was expensive? Prepare to be sticker shocked here. Though, maybe you get what you pay for? The Not-So-Pretty: The crowd can be a bit pretentious. However, this is to be expected in the area and the people watching is definitely entertaining!

Purchased the Gilt City $25 for $50 voucher and stopped at Epicure Friday evening. Plenty of free parking behind the market, so that's a plus. The market was empty, with the exception of staff and a handful of other customers. Once I looked at the prices, I knew why. If you're looking to just get your usual organic produce and groceries, you're better off at Whole Foods or Fresh Market. The prices here are almost double. $5.99 for a small carton of soy milk? Epicure does have some more exotic ethnic foods, spices and condiments if you're looking for foie gras or black truffles. Prices are either not posted, misquoted or in teeny tiny print. I picked up some organic goat cheese and honey fig ice cream which was posted for $7.99 but rang up $15.99 for a pint. Are you kidding me? Is there a 10 dollar bill at the bottom of the container? Bakery section is tempting, they have an assortment of cupcakes and pastries that are all loaded with cream and icing. I sampled a vanilla cupcake which was bland and all fluff. I asked what was their best seller and was told the seven layer chocolate fudge cake. At $4.95 a slice, once again pricey but another self-proclaimed chocoholic said it was worth it so I grabbed a slice to go. Turns out it really wasn't great at all, mediocre at best. I've had better cakes from Publix. Also picked up a cannoli for the BF. The cannoli had been refrigerated too long. The cream filling was good but with way too many chocolate chips and the crust was neither crispy nor fresh. Whole Foods and Fresh Market once again take the cake over Epicure, literally. The SoBe location has better prices and assortment, plus their cheesecake is da bomb, so I will use the rest of my gift card there.

What a disappointment. We've been coming to Epicure since it opened as part of our annual visits to South Florida and the quality of service and the food has gone down tremendously. There are lots of wait staff, but orders are too slow to come out. Fried potatoes are dry, toast is soggy and cold. For the prices they charge, you would hope they would make the effort to keep up the quality. Go to nearby mom 'n' pop Cuban restaurant instead.

Never again. Been here twice. Both times we were extremely disappointed with one of the entrees. Last time it was the tuna melt sandwich - basically cheap canned tuna. Also ordered a side of french fries (which are extra) but because I ordered the fries, they didn't give us the chips that come with the sandwich. Thinking that it was a fluke we went back for breakfast next time we were in Miami. The Huevos Rancheros were terrible. Basically eggs in jarred salsa. Nothing fresh about it. Place is always packed, must be tourists but I can't see how anyone would come here once they realize its a rip-off. Expensive and the food is not even fresh. Can't say anything about the market, but certainly stay away from the restaurant.

We've only had breakfast here and it was very good. This is located on the front end of a gourmet market, so seating is either at the bar or cafe tables. This is very well prepared light fare with fresh ingredients and regularly updated menu selection. Do NOT, however, but croissants from the bakery. They are laughably expensive for standard croissants you can purchase at fresh market or whole foods. But this is a review of the cafe, so I won't hold that against them. The market portion is essentially 'gourmet groceries at convenience store markups'.

We look forward to visiting Epicure every time when down in Miami. One reviewer was on spot, this is our comfort food place as well and we really enjoy the place.. The atmosphere and the service is right up there. The coffee selection is great. There are those who are either connoisseurs or never tried gourmet food before, I happen to be in the middle and very content with this place. I wish we had a place like this back home. I'm very surprised by some of the less colorful reviews, everyone is entitled to their opinion even if they're wrong. Keep doing a great job Epicure. A never disappointed customer.

I look forward to visiting this place every time I head south for some beach time. I do have to say the way to go with this place is to order a sandwich at the deli counter (whitefish salad is AMAZING). Pick up a few things that just look to good to pass up and you are set! If I remember correctly you can order at the deli counter and sit at the cafe tables outside and avoid the less than stellar service. I'm heading down this weekend without my husband and he has mentioned at least a few times how disappointed he is to miss out on this place specifically. I guess it is a bit finicky but if you do it right it is well worth it!

Great market and decent restaurant. Nice to eat outside and food was just ok. Expected more and expensive. Portions were not very big but fine. Service was very good. The bakery had excellent black&whites!

I live just up the street from here. I really like this place allot. I started going on a weekly basis about 4 months ago for lunch or dinner. Not only is the food excellent but every time i go the wait staff is very attentive and the food comes out fast. Not to mention they have cooling mist that blows over the outside tables so we go there for lunch meetings a few times a week and its ok to sit outside. I have been here maybe 20 times now and I will keep going back. Two thumbs up, nothing but good things to say about this place.

Grocery/Cafe Indoor and Outdoor seating. European like. Facing the Ocean. Super Fresh Produce but expensive Very nice Bakery section. Everything look so good. Nice cheese section and even caviar! I saw the biggest shrimp ever in their seafood section. Freshly cut pineapples, mangoes, and even oranges! Pre-made salads with your choice of dressings all ready to go. All you have to do is choose them. The even have 15-20 minutes complementary massage!! Expect to pay premium prices!

The Epicure Gourmet Market is a one of a kind Epicurean Deli-ght. Epicure is much more than a market- it's a Five Star Bakery, Deli, Butcher, Wine Merchant, Liquor Store, Fruit & Vegetable Market, Cafe, Diner and Candy Shop! The Sunny Isles Beach location is the second Epicure Gourmet Market in South Florida- The original Epicure is still in operation on Alton Road in South Beach. Epicure offers the best of the best and is by no means a destination for bargain hunters. When you know that you deserve the best in fine foods ~ Epicure is the place to go.

Came here for brunch, run of the mill. Got eggs benedict with smoked salmon. The salmon was minced too fine and not great. The side of fruit was lame, a few grapes and some dices of some things.

This is a food store that will quickly empty your wallet and may have you staring with envy as you watch someone easily rack up an $800 grocery bill comprised of the finest, most expensive of caviar's as well as specialized, aged Spanish and European hams. However, there isn't anything in this rather small market that doesn't spell value, in a top notch sort of way, for what you are buying. It's strictly top end of the line and you pay top end of the line for it. The pastries are, to me, the best bargains available in the store. Also the prepared duck and chicken are worth a mention. As for beers and liquors, they have the same at Wine & Spirits, and as for produce, Epicure's isn't worth the price over those at any Publix. Of good note is that they do have a counter service. You can plan upon a $15.00 chicken salad lunch, but it will be a good one. You can sit outdoors on the patio or at a counter indoors. There is plenty of parking to the rear of the building, but if you are shopping at Epicure during a hard rain storm you might want to bring a kayak or wear hip boots because the lot quickly floods at least ankle high.

Thank you, Epicure, for having the best cupcakes in town! My son adores your vanilla cupcakes topped with frosting and marshmallows!! The best part - all cupcakes have frosting inside the cupcake too! So Yummy!!! Your Balducci cake is to die for too!

RIP Rascal House. As a former resident of South Florida, I always made a pilgrimmage to RH when I visited the area. Was jonesing for pastrami, so I thought I'd give Epicure a try. As other have noted, this place is EXPENSIVE! Dinner for 3 - no drinks, no dessert - came to $77! Just a few tables are in the cafe part of this mostly-market. The aerver was quite attentive and the service was good. The dining area was well-lit and attractive. I had a pastrami and chopped liver on rye. There was no chopped liver on the menu. I asked my waiter to see if they had chopped liver in the market that they could serve me and he willingly accommodated. Both were tasty, although not Rascal quality. My son had a kids meal of mac & cheese. !!!$10!!!!! This was quite a meal that, while big bucks, was actually worth the price. They served it in a bento box - a totally cute idea. There was the main dish, fries, raw baby carrots, and fres fruit (cantaloupe & raspberries). They even put ketchup in the small cup-like section that usually has pickled, ginger in a real bento box. They had 7-layer cake on the menu, one of my other favs that is unheard of in Northern VA. I checked it out in the bakery part of the market, and it didn't look worth the $7 price, so I passed. A pricey but tasty meal - RIP Rascal House.

Went today for Sunday brunch buffet at $25/person. Included is an omelet/pasta station, carving station with roast beef and turkey, fruit salad, various meats and veggies, french toast. You walk in to the buffet area, go to the customer service desk, pay and get your wrist bracelet and plate to get started. Theres a guy thats playing saxophone nearby so you have that jazzy brunch atmosphere. And the area where you eat and the supermarket are divided so it doesn't feel like you are in a supermarket when you are eating. The food: Overall decent, The french toast was the best breakfasty item, it was crispy, warm and came with a raspberry sauce or maple leaf syrup. The best non-breakfast item was the veal shank, its slow cooked braised and fall off the bone. Deeelish. It is sold for ($20/lb) at the deli section of the supermarket. The veggies at this place were all fresh. The green bean dish was sold for $10/lb at the deli area in the supermarket. The omelet station was one of the most generous i have been to. They LOAD it with toppings ranging from bacon bits, sauteed mushroom, onions, raw onions, cheeses, peppers, veggies. THe omelet comes out to be HUGE. You have the option of only eating at the omelet station at $10/person and they give you a different colored bracelet. Included in the brunch you also get coffee, bottled water, fountain drinks. No mimosa or bloody mary though. The other food wasnt really worth mentioning. They also have a small dessert section with various cookies, cupcakes and pastries. At the carving station they had au jois sauce for the roast beef and gravy for the turkey. I did not try either because i did not want to go into a food coma shortly thereafter. The market: had high quality meats and veggies. But to give you an idea on price, they charge 7 dollars for a medium sized chiracha (asian hot sauce) which is more than double the price at other places. Tip: if you plan on eating here for brunch buffet, you get 10% discount in the supermarket if you spend $25 dollars or more when you show them the brunch buffet bracelet. Overall: not that bad for what you get in the brunch buffet. if you are in the area its worth stopping by on a Sunday brunch and just hanging out and eating slowly.

Simply put - this place is what I would imagine "foodie heaven" looks like. Walls lined with exotic, rare and ridiculously gourmet items ranging from sauces to fresh produce to wine. A gargantuan hot bar runs the full length of the store packed with an ever-changing selection that rivals top 5 star restaurants. Here you can find things like parmesan crusted tilapia, chicken wings, baked salmon with dill butter, smoky BBQ ribs, rotisserie chicken, potatoes of every style and shrimp by the pound that are as big as my hand. If you have a sweet tooth (who doesn't?) their bakery is for you. Often they have to wipe the drool from the glass case because I cannot help but walk by and salivate over their massive and beautifully decorated cakes, cookies and pastries. Let's not forget the olive bar, the wide range of caviar, and the cheese (OMG, the cheese). Whenever I'm in the store I partake in free samplings and wine tastings - how can you NOT? OK, big surprise, this place is not cheap. You need to be an actual duke or duchess to afford even the most basic items. With gunslinger reflexes I whip my wallet out and $100 goes POW right back into the economy. My inner frugal goddess is at least comforted knowing that everything I get is worth every hard earned dollar spent and consistently leaves me oooing and ahhhing. Epicure is a rare indulgence that never disappoints.

Ok Guys, I wont take too long, but please do read this review. I live across the street from Epicure, and go there all the time (when I am in town). I love the Tuna Fish Salad, cold cuts, etc...basically everything from their Deli...but everything else is OVERPRICED and BAD QUALITY. Also, I would like to mention that their GM, Jose, is very unproffesional and a mean old man on a power trip....but thats besides the point. Instead of bashing Epicure, I would like you to please take note of Milams Market (just 100 feet or so from Epicure). DAY AND NIGHT! Cheap/Fair prices, great quality, even more friendly staff than Epricure. So...dont just hate Epicure, check out Milmans...you will love it!

Dear Epicure, As much as I love all your gourmet goodness, I miss my beloved Rascal House. I spent my childhood surrounded by geriatrics slurping matzo ball soup at 3am, while I fought my father for the last salted bread stick in the basket. It's just not the same neighborhood without my favorite deli. The Rascal was my home away from home when I missed NYC. Now there is an empty hole in my life when I come back to Sunny Isles to my grandmothers neighborhood. Come back RH- we miss you terribly. The yuppie foodies in the Isles with their precocious children who love this new Epicure should move to South Beach (there's one down there), and leave us snowbirds to what we know and love: hot corn beef or pastrami on rye, knockwurst and sauerkraut, french toast at 2am, and a cup of coffee. The memories I have will never go away, but the destruction of this landmark is a shame. Bring it back. Yours Truly, Liv PS- I love Epicure in general- my rating will reflect that. However, I miss my beloved RH. The one in Boca is awful!

The only thing worth buying here are the peacan pieces from the bakery. As for the rest of the store, it is ridiculously overpriced. Last time I checked, CONVENTIONAL eggplant was over $5 per pound. Seriously? It should at least be organic for that price. Everything from milk to baby wipes is a few bucks more. Just can't see the point of shopping there unless it is for some items that can't be found some place else (like my favorite peacan treat). Millams is right around the corner, and Publix is not far away where I can get organic for the lesser price Epicure charges for regular stuff.

One word, OVERPRICED. OK a few more words, OUTRAGEOUSLY RIDICULOUSLY RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN OVERPRICED!!! PLEASE, if you travel, look around and you will see that at this price point they under perform every gourmet food store in the country.

Consider this a fancy mausoleum of dying gourmet items! Where great food goes to die a lonely death. Fun to walk around and see many of my international favorites, but do they think that people don't travel or have any idea what these things cost? They should be glad that there are no Trader Joes in FL, because even for mundane items, such as creme fraiche or cous cous, Epicure is at minimum double the price. Cheese selection was A+ (especially for the goat cheeses) & not as expensively overpriced, their price for my fave Gjost was fair.. Caviar, a total joke! They even keep it behind a glass cage! Decent international vodkas, but why would you charge more than Neiman's for Neuhaus chocolates? 2 tablespoons of truffle butter, $28? Absurd. Why don't I just go to a restaurant & get a satisfying meal that's prepared & served to me? Renegotiate your lease if it's too expensive! I'll give them a star for their comprehensiveness. Nice eclectic & diverse array of everything internationally gourmet. Which met my expectations. But, they are tragically overpriced for this impressively vast selection of dusty dying items they carry. I know my food items & I believe in paying for quality or convenience, & I believe that businesses deserve a profit... but c'mon... most things were just ridiculous! Prices can be 40-400% above standard retail pricing. It just results in an array of stagnant items, which they have plenty of. Many service food/deli items were not fresh looking, probably due to the laughably exorbitant pricing. It must be nice to work there because they probably get all the gourmet leftovers, hopefully in time before making anyone sick. But with the way management runs the place, probably not. Am I missing the secret 50% off membership card, password, handshake, or something? They seem to have no problem proudly featuring stale items.. $47/lb. for dry, sad looking colossal shrimp is not realistic in this day & age. Nasty whitefish & liver spreads that were crusty on top & liquid separating on the bottom. Tomatoes were $8/lb for nothing special. The "fresh sushi" section is just offensive. Dry fish & browning avocado is not consumable. Ironically enough, there's a big sign that says "FRESH SUSHI!" At least you could have gotten the smoked salmon right, but that ain't movin either! even during Hanukkah! When the employees are texting because of boredom, you know there's a problem. Good luck Epicure! It's sad your business has to suffer & your food has to stagnate because you appear overly greedy, even to people comfortable enough to pay $1200+/night to stay at a nearby luxe resort! Then again, you probably serve your leftovers to gullible diners. I hope you revamp your business strategy because gouging people in the name of profit or "prestige" is antiquated in the age of Internet accessibility for most items. Not everyone just stays under a rock (or shell) in your block of "Florida's Riviera." I'd rather buy a plane ticket to St. Maarten or anywhere else in the world & save a few bucks on these items! I like to cook fine cuisine, but not this time!I couldn't even bring myself to buy anything in the name of consumer justice, & I'm a foodie shopaholic w/deep pockets! nor could I ever dine/snack there because I am afraid of being served your expired leftovers. I don't even want to sample your deli case! There's no "upscale" or "prestige" in that!

This is my favorite grocery store I have ever been in. This place combines the best of everything into one reasonably sized very nice and expensive store. Walking in, there's chocolate like in switzerland. There is a beautiful bakery that has everything wonderful, fresh, and HUGE! The produce is beautiful and very tasty. The meat and seafood are absolutely top notch. The specialty food items, cheeses, and epicure branded prepared foods are incredible. The deli is superb, and the coleslaw is the best I have ever had anywhere. Everything here is the same quality as what you see in a specialty store that only does one thing. Here it's all in a beautiful market. Yes, it's very expensive, but it is outstanding.

Been here a few times and food and service usually pretty good. Today was a slight blip, cold fries - twice sent back - and one meal totally forgotten. Not as expensive as some make out, on average about $15 for a salad or a sandwich which is pretty reasonable I think. Food always fresh and, as the others say, pop inside to the deli to take some goodies home.

Never bought anything here, obviously. But this location isnt even worth a trip for the free samples - theyre too greedy to have any! Please just shut this place down and replace it with a Walmart Supercenter. Thanks in advance. ;-) P.S. rest in peace, Rascal House!

I'm reviewing the cafe, not the grocery store. We are breakfast, lunch and dinner here during a recent visit. Chicken and tuna salads were very good with fresh ingredients and not overdressed. French toast appealingly presented and tasty. Roast chicken was also good albeit plain. Service was prompt and friendly. The market appears to stock extremely high-quality perishables at premium prices. Good service, moderate prices.

We order 2 soups and 2 hamburgers. You expect for a matzo ball soup at an epicure market to be something good, made out of chicken and vegetables... My soup tasted like made out of a soup powder box - disgusting. The seasoning and small noodles looked like a soup made out a box. My hamburger was suppose to come with a chipotle sauce - I got mine with something brown and mushy that tasted like nothing. The quality of the meat was subpar and the fries seems to be done from frozen potatoes. I asked a medium well, and the meat arrived pink under-cooked - Why is so hard to cook right a burger? My friends' burger was half in size than mine, he asked medium and was well done - close to carbonized. When he took the top of the bun we discover it had a clear cut - seems that was a recycled/reheated one. He showed that to the waiter who was very embarrassed to see that picture. He ordered immediately a new one. The order was immediate the serve was way after that - I already finished mine and we were waiting.... Be careful with the hot sauce they put on the table. is not a regular one - it's kind of insane hot (and I like hot food). When I mentioned that they should warn about how hot is that bottle, the waiter said they know is over-hot. On a positive side, they bring a small plate of cookies at the end as dessert, on the house as an apology. They were good. Definitively not a place I'll be back or recommend.

Sunny Isles Beach Epicure is the best fresh food market around... Not only great, fresh cooked food served fast but also a bakery and coffee bar plus a large selection of beer, wine and hard to find gourmet items. Give me an order of the curry chicken salad and a healthy side OR a house coffee and guava cheese danish and I'm all set! Perfect pit stop when I'm in between property showings at JADE or O4 and all around my favorite place for lunch right behind Miami Juice.

Epicure NYC is known for roach infestation and I was not surprised to see many roaches crawling on the sidewalk from the parking lot (in the back) to the entrance up front at the Sunny Isles location. They too enjoy the gourmet food, fresh juices and tasty pastries. I wanted a smoothie, but the juice bar cashier was sneezing nonstop, which convinced me to get my juice at Aroma, which is just one block down Collins Avenue.

Okay, I don't want to slam other yelpers. Thank god they're here. Thank god we're all here! I don't understand how a review can complain that items are way over-priced yet still give a four or five star rating. If it's a pricey, high-end place that worth it, that's another story. But the fare at Epicure is all available at Laurenzos and it's much cheaper. If my memory is still good, I'm thinking the meats at Epicure are easily twice the price of Laurenzos. And I'm quite sure it's not twice as good! Try this one on for size. $8 for a small-to-medium greek salad plus 75 cents for dressing. Give me a break people. Yes, there is a sizable selection of gourmet delights and everything appeared fresh. Counter service was friendly and adequate. Besides that, really it's nothing that special.

We were craving an Italian lunch, like the ones we would create in Italy "on a budget". Only difference here, a peasant like lunch is definitely out of your budge, especially here, but I will not complain for the prosciutto and bresaola were PERFECT! It's a sweet market, I'll stop in again, just like I enjoy walking through a good book store, it doesn't mean I'll buy anything or I'll get a cookie. But the deli selection is romantic and as a good Pisces, I love me some romance. It was worth the extra bucks for that deliciously romantic lunch, ciabatta, taleggio, parmiggiano reggiano, prosciutto e bresaola and some olives.

This is a review of the deli area. Living on south beach it is nice to head up a1a to escape to a quieter, calmer beach area. Up at 179th street I found this place, which used to be a famous deli, but was absorbed by the market. The deli should still be famous. There is ample parking behind the market, so it is an easy in out trip. Once inside head to the back and be amazed at the best deli outside of NYC. The selection is limitless, from breads to cheeses, to meats to toppings. Take a number from the clicker and start trying to figure out what you want before you are called on. I have had a few different sandwiches, but I think the roast beef on a baguette is the best they have. My vegetarian friends have also been very happy with the choices and the quality. Before heading out with your sandwich, grab a drink, and walk past the bakery, to the left of the deli; you will not pass through empty handed. The prices are reasonable, though not cheap. And as an added bonus, the sandwiches are packaged in a way that make them easy to eat on the beach just a couple blocks away.

So this place was once the glorious Rascal House, site of my childhood, and I appreciated that they kept the sign above the door.... it's the only thing that kept me walking in through my tears... I L-O-V-E-D the Rascal House and I was determined to hate this place. The produce is obnoxiously priced... and I would never buy any of that there, no matter how prettily you slice it. The reason I would come back however, is their deli, their soups, and their bakery. Much of the glorious deli/ grandma's cuisine is still available there to go, packaged in a much more fancy packaging. Much of the amazing bakery was still there... I saw my Linzer cookies, as well as rugelah, etc. I was missing my lemon meringue pies, and my hubby had tears in his eyes as he realized his head-sized macaroons were no longer available. The cakes that they had were actually very reasonably priced, and were delicious. I would recommend them... and I will probably be back again on our next visit... but I will be always looking for the Rascal House sign above the door.

The Epicure Market is located 1 mile south of Golden Beach, FL at the site of the old Rascal House. Epicure has 5 star cuisine which is better than most restaurants. They have a full bakery, butcher shop, and excellent prepared meals. If you love great food than you will love Epicure. By Gregg L. Friedman MD, Psychiatrist, Hallandale Beach, FL

WHOOP WHOOP! Epicure in Sunny Isles is FINALLY open. Amen! For those of you in the dark, Epicure is a chichi supermarket with both groceries and cooked meals for sale. So, I went there for lunch yesterday and was pretty much in awe of how BIG and AMAZING this Epicure is compared with the SoBe store. First off, there is TONS of seating, which is great if all you want to do is eat in. The prepared food is delectable. I ordered the chicken parm for lunch and took ribs home for dinner. Other must buys? The tuna fish, cream cheese spreads (chive, nova), soups and fresh-cut fruit is FAB. The dessert bar is also pretty ridiculous. Their carrot cake is delish. If you haven't been here and are in the area for lunch...go, go, go!

Of course it's ultra expensive, let's get that out of the way. The bakery is my favorite in FL. I had the pleasure of sampling the bakeries of Brooklyn, NY and Epicure holds up against them, that's a powerful statement. I ordered a Corn Beef on Rye last week and I felt like that dog in the 60's Cartoon who gets the bone and goes into complete ecstasy. When I go to someone's house for an event, I bring a Coconut cake, chocolate cake, cup cakes, and rugelach. Everyone goes wild and I get invited back!

I grew up going to epicure, this place has quality food. Yes, it is very very pricey. altough. I find the prepared foods are somewhat reasonable. Try to stay away from the market shelf itmes unless you need one or two things. This is not a place to go grocery shopping unless you are Oprah, P. diddy. For us everyday common folks over here lol I just go in for a few items at a time. They have great sandwiches that they make fresh for you. Ask for the EPI-LUNCH m-f lunchtime 11-2 you get a sandwich, soup or coleslaw, and a drink for $9.95. Seriously it is cheaper then subway, and not processed rat food. If you get a chance to work yourself over to the bakery everything, and I mean everything is to die for. They even started carrying Mischa's cupcakes. On sunday they have a brunch buffet for $25.00 with live music, and it includes coffee and juice. Or you can get an omlet for $10.00 and they have around 15 fresh toppings to put in. They also have a great little coffee counter, that has the best coffee. I love to walk over in the morning get a coffee, and sit outside with my dog and just relax.

If you put prices aside, this is about as good as it gets for a grocery store. Most everything is gourmet and in the bakery, everything is homemade. With a lot of family in Miami, we always have a Miami birthday party for my son when we come down in February. Is he now officially a foodie with cupcakes from Epicure for his fellow three year old cousins and his one year old friend? The butcher, seafood and deli were all also amazing. Throw in a infinite selection of imported items and a really nice produce department and you have a near perfect grocery store. Prepared to pay top dollar though. Everything we had was amazing!!!

I had breakfast here with my fam and looked around at the grocery selections. This place has a very cute little cafe and lots of interesting selection of gourmet goods. There is some nice outdoor seating for cafe diners. My family liked the our breakfast dishes. Everything is a little expensive though, but all good stuff.

Incredibly delicious! Friendly staff. Drop Fox News on the TVs, & I'll come back. Every time I'm there, all TVs are on that channel, & I lose my appetite. Owner requires it, I was told.(Sorry, minus 2 stars for atmosphere)

Went with two adults and two kids - and all of us enjoyed the brunch greatly! They have a Sunday jazz brunch, which is a decent saxaphonist walking around and playing a variety of cover songs. The brunch had more than sufficient choices, including an area with kids-type choices. The omelette - made to order - was huge, and all the fixings were fresh. They had deserts, meats, blintzes, breads, and even a pasta bar! The only two small issues: The Valet was a no show, and they should be walking around with coffee (had to ask at the coffee bar). We will definitely go back!

I don't know why I still find myself going here, even though most times I leave I question if what I just purchased was really worth it. I go to Epicure to pick out some food to bring home for dinner when my husband doesn't feel like cooking (I'm not much of a cook myself). I love the potatoes, salmon and mixed veggies from their hot section. And their cold salads range from ok to great. I really liked their curry chicken salad the first time I ordered it (even my husband liked it and he is very anti-Epicure...he doesn't feel he should pay that much for ok/mediocure food at a market). The second time I ordered it it was too salty to even finish. I purchased a pound of it and regretfully could only handle a couple of spoonfuls. I hate throwing out food but this was just way to salty and there was no salvaging it. I do like to pick up caviar, cheese and crackers for when we entertain, and I love to pick up the Misha's mini cupcakes for when we entertain or to bring to a friends (it's impossible to find a favorite flavor). However, the products I just mentioned could be purchased elsewhere for a better price. In the end, its like a stupid habit I can't quit. It's simply convenient for me but not worth the price.

I must admit I do miss Rascal House, but Epicure is still a great place. They have gourmet EVERYTHING - meats, salads, breads, wines, cheeses, coffee, etc. They have Matzo-ball soup in jars for those still looking for the Rascal House. I went here for lunch a few times - its a nice laid back atmosphere you can sit inside facing the window or on a nice stay sit outside and have a coffee. Ample parking in the back - unfortunately there's no wifi.

good brunch, lovely outdoor seating, cheese samples, artisan foods and organic products. A great place to hit up when you're lacking inspiration for dinner that night, or before a classy picnic.

Shop several times each week at the Sunny Isles location. Problem with the waldorf salad--it consists of green and red apples, two or three walnuts and four or five blueberries. For the price, it should be "conventional" Waldorf Salad and should include grapes, pineapple, strawberries, lots of walnuts, etc. Don't know how you get away with this. Also, it seems when there is a popular item like San Benedetto bottled water, as soon as it sells out, you stop carrying it despite promises from staff that an order is on its way. You have to justify your prices and keeping popular items in stock is a good way to do so. Prepared foods selection leaves alot to be desired. Not easy to buy the same things three times a week.

this specialty market is the LV of grocery stores -- i mean high end start off by valet-ing your bentley up in front, then grab an apertif from the bar, while asking for some mangoes to be hand picked for you (at $3 a piece of course vs. $1 self selection at Laurenzo's farmers market), then pick out your osetra caviar, ask for some jamon, and obviously make your way over to the deli. not as many samples at this location, but they have an extensive bakery including cannolis and much imported items from around the world of course, the price is like 300% higher, only a place like sunny isles could support a store like this prepared food looks nice, and many people were lining up for it

This place is like an upscale corner store in San Francisco. It is overpriced and while it's unique in Miami, it's a dime a dozen in the Bay Area. I got a b&w cookie. Meh.

Great new location compared to the store on South Beach. Huge selection, lots of staff and checkout lanes and huge parking lot. They have a large outdoor seating area to enjoy your food. If you like olives try the green olives stuffed with sheep and goats milk cheese they are wonderful.

I am here to review the steak sandwich I had at Epicure this week. I can't get it out of my head and can't stop talking about it. I asked the guy who was at the station and he told me they make them Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. They have a carving station by the deli where a man slices freshly grilled steaks onto your choice of bread with your choice of typical toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles). I asked him what the softest meat would be and he suggested Filet Mignon. I ordered the Filet and he was sensitive to the customers temperature preference. I like medium rare and he sliced me a perfect steak. I chose Challah, egg bread roll. I added horseradish sour cream spread and topped it with lettuce, tomato and onion with a side pickle. At first I was a little concerned because he sliced the steak a good 1/4 inch to also maybe even a 1/2 inch at points. He also loaded it on quite a bit, which actually made me wonder if I was going to bite into it and have it all fall apart because it was rather loaded, but I was already in line, and didn't want to be too picky. It's a good thing I let him do his thing. It. Was. The. Best. Steak. Sandwich. I've. Ever. Had. Drool. I can't WAIT until the next Wednesday - Friday or Sunday I can go back and order another one. It was $12 which might be a little high except that it was PHENOMENAL. It was worth every single penny. It absolutely melted in my mouth. The temperature was perfect. It almost tasted like a burger but better. The quality was amazing. The pickle on the side was huge and very fresh. The steak sandwich was to die for. The only thing I'm going to try next time is horseradish sour cream on one side and steak sauce on the other. But I'm getting Filet medium rare and I'm putting it on a plan Challah roll with the same toppings. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY SUGGESTED.

Man, this place leaves me speechless. Best Gourmet Market, Bakery and Deli I have ever been to. Went to Miami in May of this year and our hotel was right across the street from the Epicure Market. We decided to stop by to check it out and are sure glad we did. Excellent quality food items all the way. Everthing you could ever want you can find here. From cooked meals to prepackaged items and groceries. Best bakery I have ever been to. The cherry turnovers are second to none. Filled with tons of filling. Not dry and sparse like some bakeries. We had several hot meals from Epicure during our stay along with some of their deli and prepackaged salads. Nothing disappointed. My husband also purchased a whole smoked fish and ate the whole thing in a matter of hours. This isn't the cheapest market in town but worth the splurge. I agree with one reviewer that states this is the "LV" of markets. Just an FYI their website lists their address as being 17190 Collins Ave. If your visiting Miami or live there make this a stop.

I'm going to have to agree with Cosmic M. that this place is waaaayyyy over priced. I have been in high priced grocery stores in other parts of the country but this one clearly took the cake. NONE of the groceries I picked up had a price tag. That should've been a sign for me to run, but I was really hungry that day. I paid $14 for some basic tasting chips and a jar of horrible tasting salsa that I threw away after a few days of trying to force it down my throat because of the price. The dessert looks great behind the glass, but I didn't go there for dessert and couldn't tell you if the taste matched the presentation. The pre-made salads were $9 for an average Publix/Walmart looking salad with nil toppings and THIS IS WITHOUT DRESSING which is extra. I went there to get a fresh deli sandwich and was told it would be $9, and that did not even come with a pickle or a stack of meat, also that was not with whatever toppings I wanted, that would be extra. $14 for chips and salsa is RIDICULOUS. $9 mediocre turkey sandwich with limited toppings? NUTS! The fruit was expensive too, but the display of it was lovely. I really think that the grocery portion of this store is for those select, snoody rich people that can't find anything better to spend their money on so I guess it is in the right place on Collins Avenue, but I definitely am smarter with my money and will never make the mistake of going here again.
