The pinko crusted scallops are great paired with mango salsa. The black rice is pretty interesting. The salads are substantial. I was planning on a key lime flavored dessert but was too full. They have a wonderful selection of beers and will provide samples. I decided on the "Franciscan" ale. Great meal. It is in an obscure location so look closely for it.

I can't say enough about this place!! We started with the Chicken Caesar taco appetizer and the free mini muffins. For our entree I ordered the Harris Ranch Steak and my husband had the Scallops!! Both were delicious but the scallops might be the best thing I ever ate! This place had a great vibe and the service was excellant. This will definitely be our new favorite date night!!

We were pleased with our experience. We found the 40 dollar coupon in the money saver (2 entrees and a bottle of wine) which was a steal. I can't remember what we ordered but I had the steak entree and my fiancé ordered one of the fish dishes and they were both excellent. Tons are fla our and they all complimented one another terrifically. Even the house wine was great! Our server was excellent! We migrated to the bar after because it was a little to sticky outside and the bartender James was great. He mixed up some delicious cocktails! We look forward to coming back!

If you don't try this restaurant than you are missing the best in the area. I had the swine fiesta with trotters that were better than any sausage you will ever have.

I'd have to give this place 4 stars just because I didn't actually have a meal here. My husband and I just sat at the bar and ordered apps with some of the most delicious drinks I've ever had in my life. I can honestly say that the bartender scratch that, mixologist put on quite the show. We spent the night watching him whip up some specialty crafted cocktails. I tried at least three different concoctions and I was blown away each time. I am not a hard liquor drinker but these were irresistible. One thing that I did notice, and I found a bit of it was the decor. The main dining area is adorned with what looks like some white homemade seating booths with pink leather upholstery. It struck me as odd but it will not stop me from coming back to try the food.

The food at Ian's is unique and absolutely delicious. Our server was Lisa and she made wonderful recommendations and answered our questions about the small plate options with a smile. Best food on our trip!

We went there last week to celebrate a birthday! As in the past, the food was wonderful. The three of us each had a different entree and of course tasted each plate. We had fresh snapper, scallops and a steak, all specials for that evening. Finished with a creme brûlée. We will be returning soon.

10:36. With my beautiful wife. Just finished the following from the snack menu: Local Cobia Sashimi, Day Boat Scallop, Shrimp & Grits, Umami Lobster, and Tuna Chimichanga. Snack and Drink menu half off until midnight. Amazing dishes. Favorite so far in Stuart. Great tunes from Carson's Tavern next door. Love this place.

My wife and I tried Ian's a few weeks ago, just finally getting to this!. Our expectations were to have a nice meal and a beer or glass of wine after a long week.. Well, we got that and on every level our expectations were exceeded...by quite a bit Starters we got the shrimp and grits.. Didn't sound good to me but it was my wife's night so her appetizer. Wow... Simply delicious. The grits were cheesy uta not too cheesy. Shrimp was perfect and the soft boiled egg tied it all together nicely. Our entrees were both nothing short of spectacular. I got the seared tuna with wasabi and it amazing. Wife's scallops were as good as she ever had.. The meal was above our rather high expectations.. We were very impressed Dessert, Creme brûlée.. Delicious.. overall a great experience..

I have been here a few times and never had the best scallops I have ever eaten until my last time here. They are cooked so perfect they are almost sushi and taste like butter. They are seasoned and paired beautifully. I have had some other great imaginative meals here including the Pistachio Crusted Yellowfin Tuna, Cornmeal & Herb Seared Golden Tile, Roasted Beet and an amazing chocolate dessert served in a jar. Although after the scallops I am pretty ruined for the rest of the menu. The service is expert and a full bar with fantastic cocktails round it all out.

First try at Ian's. The service was excellent. The wines by the glass were good but no 90 plus treasures hidden within. Our starter was the Poutin and was just as my favorite Quebec restaurant might prepare. The main course faired from the half Chicken to the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo which turned out to be bow tie pasta and out servers recommend Scallops. All three dished were nicely presented and well prepared. We did stick around for desert and found the in house treats also outstanding.

If you are looking for food or drinks that are unique and unexpected prepare to be pleasantly pleased. Very unique cocktails and the food is inventive and with amazing flavor combinations. The fish ribs are wonderful and love the scallops and grilled romaine Caesar.

Went to Ian's with another couple for dinner. Spent around $300.00 for drinks and a lovely meal. At the end was presented with the check. Paid cash giving her a 15% tip, she was good but not outstanding and 15% of 300 is not like getting 20% if you work at Alice's. Handed her the checked folder and told her we were all set. Well apparently she felt like she was worth more as in an apparent attempt to embarrass me she returned to the table saying here's your change and started counting it out in front of me. I turned and walked away, for the last time. Will not return. The food is very good, but so is the food at the Bistro next door where they appreciate the tips.

This is my second night in a row here! The food is amazing (all fresh, local grown & organic produce) The menu is the most interesting menu I have seen in a long time. Try the scallops and the fish ribs. To die for!!! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The ambience and decor is awesome.

I wanted a nice place to take my wife for Valentine's dinner. I chose Ian's Tropical grill. We were very pleased with not only the food but the atmosphere. It was one the best meals we've had in Stuart. My wife and I are Martin County natives and have enjoyed meals through the county, but hands down this is the bet we've ever had. Everything from the salads to the fish were locally sourced. We will be back! Thanks again for a meal we will not soon forget!

We had a pleasant date night at Ian's Tropical Grill. The menu was different than what was posted online, but we didn't mind and appreciate that they have seasonal selections. The Beet, Pear & Fried Kale salad was delicious! I'm considering going back soon just to have that salad again.

I am blessed to have the opportunity to travel and try many restaurants. Ian's is a gem in Stuart. Locally sourced ingredients with surprising flavor combinations that make dishes pop. Sure it is in an unassuming strip mall but put this food in a more hip or elegant location and it would earn 4.5 to 5 stars all day long.

We had heard great things about this restaurant. Food was good but way too expensive for what you got. My husband ordered a draft that ended up being six ounces with lots of foam. Really! Our waiter was horrible so service sucked. Would not go again.

Sat outside in patio area. Cheap looking decor. Not clean. Menu limited and very expensive. Food mediocre at best. Nothing like the old resturant. Poor atmosphere poor menu selection. Very poor quality food. Expensive. For the life of me, can't figure how these folks can stay in business. Too many really good places to eat in Stuart to put up with this place.

I haven't had a bad meal here yet. Three times so far. Last night I had a Soy Edamame Tuna entree and Caramel Bodina for dessert. DELICIOUS!!! Why don't we go here more often?!

We went to Ian's Tropical Grill for their New Year's Eve dinner based on several recommendations. I am sorry to report that for all 4 of us it was truly one of the most disappointing, over-hyped, over-priced culinary experiences of our lives. They had a set 7 course tasting menu for the NYE dinner that was overly complicated and underwhelming from a flavor and quality standpoint. The fish dishes had no flavor and poor texture. The Wagyu steak dish was full of fat and nearly inedible. The only tasty items were actually things that they didn't make, rather purchased or assembled. The bread for the pâté was delicious as was the cheese selection. The chocolates were quite good as was the wine selected for the pairing option with each course. The service was lackluster and timing of the courses was too fast so we couldn't even finish our glass of wine with each course and eventually had four glasses lined up in front of each member of our party. The bill came to a total of $505 for 4 people or $250+ per couple. I don't mind paying for food that is worth the price however we left kind of hungry and the can of Pringles in our hotel room was a welcome delicacy comparatively speaking.

Ian's is an incredible spot. The cocktails are fantastic. The menu is dictated by fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the deconstructed pork bun, umami lobster, and fish ribs. Great spot with awesome weekend deals.

Called ahead to ask if they would cook our fresh fish which they claimed they would. Arrived and sat at the bar where the bartender claimed he would take care of everything and serve the fresh dolphin we caught. I don't know his name but he had an early Jennifer Anniston style haircut. The bartender kept promising the chef was coming up with something great for us. Meanwhile several patrons came in and were quickly served drinks and their meals. After and hour and a half we gave up and left. The place wasn't even that busy. The service was an F. I will never go back. Horrible! The worst

Absolutely loved this place. Went for the Friday night after 9 pm specials, and was able to try their small plates for half the price. Their unique drinks were also half off. The atmosphere is very classy and relaxed. Our waiter Glen provided the utmost service. The tuna chimichanga was so deliciously different. The scallops were amazing but let me warn you it is a small portion. Try the beer cocktails. I highly recommend this place if you want an original dining and drinking experience.

This place was really nice. I liked the mellow atmosphere. They had a great selection of specialty drinks at the bar, and the two cocktails we ordered ended up being about half the price you would normally pay. Dinner was also very good. The mixed greens appetizer in a mushroom miso broth was outstanding. The sauce/broth was one of the best I've ever tasted. And on top of that , we were there on the night that wine bottles were 50% off regular price. The only downside was our waitress was not around much so we did not receive the best service. But all in all is was a great dinner at a reasonable price. I would go there again.

This is my first trip to Stuart, FL. Our friends wanted to try Ian's Seafood and we were all hungry, so we made a reservation and drove over for dinner. The outside patio was okay...no problems here. The wine glasses and cutlery were 1st class. We ordered the scallops appetizer and the waitress told us that it was very good. She failed to mention that it was only ONE SCALLOP! LOL. What is going on here? There were five of us and we planned to share two light appetizers. Thank goodness we ordered the chicken and waffles appetizer as well. It was delicious. In fact, it was better than any of the entrees. For dinner we ordered the swordfish and the 1/2 roasted chicken. The entrees were good, but not great. For the price we expected better quality. The entrees came with one or two spoons of corn or potatoes as a side. ONE SPOONFUL SERIOUSLY! Is this the best way for a restaurant to save money people? How much does corn or a potato actually cost? For dessert we tried the crime brûlée (completely bland and tasteless) and the peach cobbler (it had bacon on the top). Yes, I said BACON....what were they thinking? All in all, it was a mess. We will NEVER return. Cutting costs in the wrong places is a recipe for failure. No wonder the 2nd location has closed.

My girlfriend and I ate for the first time here. Everything we had was wonderful. The staff were the best. One thing I ordered was a bread pudding for dessert. I have never liked bred pudding but thought I would try tonight. Well it was really good. I will be back to Ian's again

My girlfriend and I have been to Ian's multiple times in the past--with friends and parents for dinner, as well as for wine and food pairings, and I would have rated it 5 stars every time. But I had such a poor experience the most recent time I went to Ian's (one star) that I felt compelled to give an overall rating of three. My most recent trip to Ian's was the first time that we went to happy hour at the bar. There were two other people at the bar when we arrived, and it took the bartender almost 10 minutes to even give us a drink menu. After 10 minutes, the bartender gave me a drink that I didn't explicitly order (because he never actually came over to ask us what we wanted), but that he had overheard me discussing with my girlfriend. Strange, but not a big deal. Then he asked my girlfriend what she wanted to drink and made the drink. This is where the experience took a turn for the worse. For the next 45 minutes, the bartender not only did not come by to ask us if we wanted to order any food or get another drink, but ignored us completely. He routinely went to the other people at the bar and chatted with them, took drink and food orders, etc., but he explicitly ignored us even as we tried to get his attention. Seeing as how he was eavesdropping for my first drink, one could only assume he would have also overheard us discussing ordering four different appetizers to share. But that wasn't the case. After a half hour of becoming more frustrated with his ignoring us and then 15 minutes of trying to get his attention to close our tab, we left and went to eat elsewhere. For those who haven't been to Ian's before, the bar is small--maybe 6 or 8 chairs tops. There is absolutely no excuse for our poor service and I sincerely hope it was only a fluke. I would like to give the happy hour/bar another shot, but I'd be lying if I said this didn't really put a damper on how we view Ian's going into the future.

From the pre-dinner cocktails to dessert and espresso, everything about our meal was absolutely perfect. We had the roasted beet salad, beef marrow snack, scallops, ginger seared tuna, creme brulee, and chocolate banana bread pudding. Belgian beer was served at the proper temperature as was an excellent pinot noir. The hostess, waitstaff, and even the other guests were wonderful. I can't believe it took us so long to discover Ian's, but you can be sure we will go there again soon. This is, by far, the best restaurant on the Treasure Coast.

Delicious, interesting combinations. Our family of 4 shared 7 appetizers so we could try lots. Faves: shrimp & grits, chicken & biscuits, pork buns. All have added ingredients that make them unique. Total bill under $100, including drinks. Would def go back again

Ian's is one of our most favorite places to eat. We eat outside and have never been disappointed yet. It is pricey but always worth it. Love the mojitos as well. The Indian River Drive was a bit hard to swallow but then were not hard core drinkers. We ARE hardcore eaters though and Ian's is at the top of our list. Thanks Eric.

Come here! Interesting menu, not what you would see everyday. We ordered a lot of food and enjoyed it all! I had the small plate of the jerk panco scallop with mango and although the portion is only one large scallop, the entree is three. Very delicious. Then was the small plate of the tuna chimichanga with guac and goodness. Again delicious. My mother had the small plates shrimp and grits- delicious. My dad had the grouper entree- he finished it so you know it's good. I ordered the granny apple crisp for dessert and it was very good warm crisp on the bottom w a scoop of vanilla Ice cream on top. My mom got a salted caramel butterscotch whipped cream and chocolate cookie crumble desert- needless to say it was great. My father had espresso parfait with chocolate and salted caramel. Said the chocolate was more of a syrupy texture than mousse but delicious. All in all, we will be back for sure. Service was good as well. I will try to add pictures.

Food was amazing! I had the shrimp and grits and hubby had the fried chicken and waffle. Amazing flavors. Love this place

Love the shrimp and grits, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu - do yourself a favor and sample a collection of small plates. And the cocktails are the best in the area - infusions, concoctions, wizardry. Have a dark and stoutly - you won't regret it. If you sit at the bar, tell James what you like, and he'll whip something up for you that you'll love.
