Like someone else said, it's kind of a dive. Old decor. Food is good for the prices. 2 for 1 make dinner entrees $9-11 each which includes salad and bread. Wouldn't pay more for it. Staff friendly, not too professional. But again, can't complain given the prices.

The previous reviews are correct, outdated, strange service, nondescript food. Not worth another visit.

Nice atmosphere, (kept a little too warm though), good 2 for 1 dinner deal, unfortunately it definitely ranks in the "fagettaboutit" food category. Far from good Italian quality food. I liken the ingredients and presentation to more like a fast food place. Creamy italian dressing (tastes like bottled) or oil and vinegar are your only choices. Please! Toast or broil the garlic bread a little. Veal francese was ok , but salty. I will try it again because it does have potential, but I will not go out of my way.

Absolute worst Italian food I've ever eaten in my life. I can't stand it when the kitchen doesn't drain the pasta before putting it on the plate...look at this dish, it's supposed to be chicken francese, not soup. Wtf...All the water just sits with the chicken floating on the plate. Soup was too salty tasting and I LOVE my food salty. If my dog was still alive, I wouldn't even give her my leftovers. Horrible ambiance. Two entrees and two watered down iced teas the deal was a BOGO came out to $35. Still over priced, Won't be back.

Ok, I'll preface by saying that I didn't eat the food. I have never in the history of Yelp written a review of a restaurant I walked out of (have I ever walked out of a restaurant before)? My father had a good meal here last year, so I was willing to overlook the New Jersey plaza-plastic ambiance. I looked at the menu beforehand, and the food was not cheap. $17.95 for a meal at this place? I've paid less in major metropolitan areas, and they actually put some of the money into their decor. Color me skeptical but willing, padre. The four of us awkwardly crammed into what passes as the hostess area, where we remained unacknowledged for a goodly amount of time. A harried waitress ran by, angrily chomping on gum. "SIT ANYWHERE," she barked. Oh boy! We chose a lovely plastic table set in the back and I perused the wine list (actually a laminated card with no varieties listed). Call me a snob, but this is an Italian restaurant. They should at least tell you what type of bottom shelf box you're going to be drinking. Meanwhile, the 20-top of screechy silver-hairs were trying to figure out their coupon situation at decibel 11. Sweet lord in heaven. Two tables of people walked in, immediately received menus, and their server greeted them right away. I threw down the laminated Chianti card in disgust and walked out. We made our way to Carmela's Wine Bar and had a delightful experience. I recommend you do the same.

Amazing food, amazing staff really enjoyed the atmosphere. If I would've looked at the reviews before going I would've missed out on the great food/ friendly virtuous service they had to offer. After I sat down I looked at the reviews and was shocked to see only 3 stars (which were over a year old). I work in the restaurant business and this place is a hidden gem. PLEASE GO TRY IT OUT...YOU'LL REALIZE WHAT A GREAT DECISION YOU'VE MADE!

Very good food. Poor variety of beer. What they did have was not cold.We at first thought the server was rude and rushing us. Turns out it was her quirky personality. She got her 25% tip by working very hard for this party of 6.Prices actually cheap.Plenty of parking. Will return soon.

Really hate to change my review but our experience here this year was just plan strange. The usually busy busy place was strangely half full. The food was good as ever but the service was totally off the wall. We waited for drink service even water. The waitress acted like she was trying out for stand up comedy. She served everyone soup and salad ordered or not. We saw one of our drinks waiting on the bar for several minutes. The table next to us had ordered calamari the next thing they knew she was standing there with their dinner. No soup! They sent it bad. A few minutes later she came back and asked if "they were ready to eat yet". The food was good, mussels with garlic, white wine and butter sauce, was the winner at our table. Hope it gets back to normal by next season.

No atmosphere, slow service...food was a 3 on a 10 scale. People that raved about the food must have really been hungry.

Had dinner here this evening and was extremely satisfied. My parents have come here several times and told me this place has the best Italian food in the area (and we should know- we are actually Italian!). I had to come here myself and try it. My mom and I got the eggplant rollatini and the chicken francaise. Both were outstanding! The entrees each come with a big salad and garlic bread (yummy garlic bread)! Generous portions and even better prices. The house wine was great and please for God's sake ORDER A CANNOLI!!! Literally the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of cannolis (not a sexual innuendo). Super friendly staff and even got to meet the owner and when I told him that I loved his place and would write a great review on yelp, he didn't know what Yelp was, so if you have been here and love it as much as I do, write a great review!! This place deserves great clientele because they have amazing food, huge portions, friendly service and outstanding prices (they have special deals all the time and even if you don't have a coupon or even know about the coupon, they still give you the discounted rate- our bill should have been around $50 and it was only $32). Please do yourself a favor and come here. It may be a little short on ambience/decor, but they more than make up for it with everything else. Enjoy!!

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
