Found a new, delicious restaurant last night. Chris D'Anna's on SE Federal hwy just south of Cove road. Food was delicious and fresh, atmosphere was so pleasant and relaxing, and the service was excellent. Give it a try you won't be sorry!!

Seriously good food at this little place. Make a reservation to make sure you can get in - it will be totally worth it! I had the chicken with Brie, mushrooms and apple slices...divine. My husband had the salmon topped with jumbo shrimp with a balsamic reduction over wilted spinach. Wow, both were interesting and delicious! For the starch of the day, I had the sweet potato flan (more like a mousse)...so sweet and good, I could have had it for dessert!

Went here with someone who goes often. They wanted to take me because they said they loved the food here. I agree - the food was outstanding. I had one of the specials - grouper in a champagne sauce. The sauce seemed a little thin at first glance, but once you started dipping either the grouper the potatoes or the asparagus in the sauce you realize it is perfect. My friend had a chicken dish that had brie, apples and browned mushrooms over it. Her dish was delicious too. This was one of those meals that half way through you start planning what your last three bites are going to be because you want to savor those last bits. Glad she shared her favorite spot with me - can't wait to go back.

Dinner was excellent. Had only had lunch before and found the food great. So, when the opportunity arose, I took my family for dinner. I had mushrooms for appetizer and sausage soup. Then Chicken Parmesan for the main course. Finished it off with a sampling of great deserts. Ate for two more days on the leftovers. Really enjoyed this place and will return.

I have been to this restaurant a few times before and the food is good and wine prices are reasonable. Service is very pleasant and attentive. Had the lamb chops last night and although tasty, they were quite fatty leaving very little meat to enjoy. Another chop would have provided just the right amount of meat. Also, had the salmon with the mushrooms. Unfortunately the salmon was overcooked, the mushroom cranberry topping was underwhelming and the green beans very undercooked. Feel like the chef was being lazy. Also had the asparagus appetizer. Nothing wrong with the ingredients but it just was not very interesting. If I come back, it will be in the off season. The noise level is ridiculous.

Went with my wife, two daughters and parents last night. Food was fabulous, service very good and wine was reasonably priced. We had mussels, duck, a prime steak and grouper with shrimp. Everything was excellently prepared and tasted wonderful. Don't pass up the duck or the mussels. Apparently, they are the house specialties and live up to the hype. The wine list is reasonable, but the food isn't cheap. It is small, a little noisy, but a great atmosphere overall.

its a lovely restaurant. The food is good, portions are generous, staff is friendly. They obviously have alot of regulars that they adore and take care of... here is why they didn't get more stars from me: I visit the area maybe once a year, we always come here, ALWAYS with a reservation, always have to wait no matter what night. Its obvious that we are being bumped for a regular that DOESNT have reservations... just not quite fair. will I come back - sure. will I wait... sure.

Good food, wine and service but the noise level was terrible. Great place to eat alone or if you don't want to talk to anyone at your table. Second visit, don't remember this before.

Came here with on the advice of a neighbor . This place is excellent. the food was fabulous, the staff attentive, will be a repeat diner again and again. To call this Italian is misleading as they have all sorts of dishes. I had one of the best steak au provre I have ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly and well trimed. Don't overlook the mussels. FABULOUS! Don't miss out on this gem.

This is a difficult review, as I generally try to support the local businesses, particularly those that bring great dining to this area. Chris D'annas is a favorite of my great aunt, so I have been twice over the past year. Each time I have found aspects of the meal I really enjoyed, but overall found the total experience lacking, particularly at their price point. The service has seemed harried on both visits. Terse, uninformed about the menu, and generally acting like they (the server) are doing you (the diner) a favor by bringing you the bread and water instead of making you go get it yourself. During my visit last week, we waited uncomfortably with our menus while waiting to have our order taken, didn't get a bread basket until our entrees were brought, and frequently had empty water glasses. Our waitress did not know where their duck was from and didn't offer to go find out, and considering it's one of their specialties, I don't think that's asking too much. I stuck with one of the veal fillets, which was accompanied by some delicious fried eggplant, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese. It was wonderful, and I wanted to scrape every bit of the scrumptious sauce from my plate. However, I couldn't do that, because I had no spoon and because the veal came on it's own plate, with a separate plate for the two included sides (mashed potatoes -sauceless, and asparagus-steamed). The sides seemed like a complete afterthought and did not go with the dish at all. Some lovely crusty bread or a bowl of pasta would have been much better complements. Additionally, my dad asked to skip the potatoes and instead get a double order of asparagus, which turned out to be exactly 10 skinny spears instead of five. For Italian food in Stuart, I think that Mario's has the market covered much more deliciously and consistently. The only reason I could see returning to Chris D'annas would be for the ambiance.

We have been wanting to eat here forever and finally did last night. Why we waited so long to eat here is beyond me. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food amazing, and the service impeccable. You must, must, must, try this place.

The food at this place rocks! I never would order duck. I did and it was crazy good. My wife had the filet mignon, and it was fork cutting steak. Need I say more. Great wines. Ask for help on selection.

Overall a very enjoyable experience. The service was impeccable and the food was very good as well. I had the stuffed mushrooms and a pumpkin seed-crusted chicken topped with spinach and goat cheese. I enjoyed both very much. The restaurant is definitely quiet, with an older crowd. The menu is surprisingly devoid of any pasta or pizza dishes, which we were expecting to see when coming to an Italian place. Regardless, we still had a very pleasant time.

Adorable place! First time was amazing. Second time wasn't as amazing but still great. The duck was a bit over done. The service is fantastic. Great place for a date! I'll definitely keep coming back

My wife and I come here every week or two. The food is always great and the service is excellent. It is obvious that the owners take care to properly train their staff. Why eat at Duffy's when you can get an early bird for the same price or less and the food is so much better. Chef David also makes great soups. When he makes the roasted onion soup I get a container to bring home. My major complaint is that he does not make it often enough. When we have guests we generally bring them here and have never had a complaint. I do not know why this is listed as an Italian restaurant. While it has some italian entrees but the overwhelming number of entrees are not Italian.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
