I absolutely love Carmela's Wine Bar!!! I have been here so many times. I have tried almost everything on the menu. The pizza is fantastic! The pastas are ridiculously delicious. The cheesecake is quite possibly the best cheesecake I have ever had.

Meh, the pizza is ok. We thought the cheese was too salty and not creamy at all. It seems they were a bit stingy on the sauce as well. The place was packed around 12:30 onward. It seems very popular, just not that great in my opinion. I've had better in the area.

When you go to a fish place, you order fish. When you go to a steak place, you order steak. When you go to Carmela's Pizza Restaurant, you order the Grandma's Pizza. Out of all their different varieties of pizza, the Grandma seems to be the favorite.... Crisp thin crust, light on the cheese with fresh tomato. The best. After the must-try pizza we shared a grilled vegetable sandwich on homemade Italian bread. The marinated portabella mushrooms were delicious along with roasted red peppers and tomatoes, grilled zucchini and eggplant, with a bit of mozzarella cheese. The waiter was very friendly and attentive to all of our needs throughout our meal. GREAT EXPERIENCE, CARMELA.

Back again this year 2/2015. We were seated in the pizza side, our first mistake the wine bar section is much nicer, we did make reservation so there was not a wait. I ordered my childhood favorite spaghetti and meatballs and a ceasar salad. My husband ordered the mussels. His was wonderful, he got the appetizer which came without pasta so he had a small mountain of mussels. My pasta sauce seemed like a can of tomato sauce dumped over meatballs that were mediocre at best. I promised myself I wouldn't come back but everyone else like it so I guess, I'll just have to keep searching for the right menu item The service on the other hand has never been good and hasn't gotten any better. Maybe its just me because the place is mobbed, but it not high on my list.

I went to order the chicken Francies and I told the lady I want the chicken grilled but with the sauce and the lady said don't worry it comes with nothing on it and the dish came out Breaded and it took 39 minutes I do not recommend this place

A quiet unassuming place located in a ubiquitous Florida strip mall. Short Booths and wobbly tables - and some of the best thin crust pizza I've had in a long while. Ordered the 16" square pizza made of grandma's crust with prosciutto and Gorgonzola fade to the "special tomato sauce" and mozzarella. To. Die. For.

Nice people and service was very good. But was very disappointed with the food and the wine. I won't be returning.

Easy to find, don't kick you out as soon as you are done eating, extremely accommodating. If you are good with the thin pepperoni, this will be fine for you. If you want the old world peps, not to be found in Stuart. Have a great wine selection and a nice place for folks to hang out after the meal. Price is OK. Large group. All were happy.
Went here for dinner Monday evening. Service was great. Food was very good. Ordered the "white" pizza. Good stuff. Would recommend.

My first time there..... Nice atmosphere on the bar side of the restaurant. That was the only area available when I went there. If you go, definitely get the STUFFED DATES....They're a flavor explosion!! Where u go after them is up to you. Good service, decent beer selection. (I'm not a winer)

Stopped in for a bite with my wife after we had been out and about most of the day. We were seated promptly on the pizza side (not the wine bar which in hindsight had we known it existed would have opted for that) next time! The good, service was good and friendly and not overly intrusive. Wine list was fine and the house Chianti is acceptable and a good pour. The mediocre, We started with the recommended prosciutto wrapped dates. I have had this in other variations at some events and also make and serve these when we have dinner guests. I found the prosciutto over done to an almost burnt texture. For mains I had the Chicken Saltimbocca with a side of spaghetti alia olio and my wife had the broccoli rabe and sausage pasta. Both dishes were heavily sauced but not a big issue. My wife's dish had a bit to much broccoli rabe but I took some and added it to my side of spaghetti with olive oil and garlic (which was fine by itself but I hate to waste a good rapini!). Her pasta was also very under cooked, not al dente, under cooked. Over all a mediocre meal. Prices were average for a typical pizzaurant. I will say that the pizza's that kept arriving at the table around us looked very good. Next time (and we will give it another try) we'll opt for the pizza in the wine bar.

Had dinner here tonight with my family. We have dined here in the past and liked it and decided to try something different tonight with the suffed pizza. It was not something we would order again as it was extremely salty, doughy and dry. Good spot for pizza and service was great.

I finally tried their pizza, and OMG! It was so good both my boyfriend and I loved it! We ordered the white pizza with meatballs! It was huge! I ate pizza for 3 days in a row! We will definitely be back for more! This place never disappoints.

4 stars for pretty good pizza 1 star for very disappointing salad. They gave me a whole grape tomatoe!! Dressing was more like apple sauce than apple vinagarette. Goat cheese needs a lot of work and employees always seem too busy to treat you human or just not very happy. Overall good food and atmosphere is nice though.

I was here for lunch on Thursday. You can't go wrong with the pizza and subs, delish!!! Only place I would go for slices. Problem is the FLIES!! I looked up at the lamp post above my booth and poof!! It was covered in flies!! See for yourself what I'm talking about. Keep in mind I LOVE the pizza here and definitely the top 5 for pizza in stuart. But please do something about the flies! If they're in the dining room then they're definitely in the kitchen.

Ate here while playing a punk show in Stuart, thanks to a friend's recommendation. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting, the service is swift and friendly, and the food is delicious! I had two grandma slices (read: square thin crust), one with sliced meatballs, the other with pineapple and ham. My gf had two margherita slices (a somewhat thicker classic triangle crust) with chicken and onions. They PACK on the fresh toppings, and their brick-oven-baked crust is crispy enough to hold 'em! The sauce also tastes just like sweet homemade sauce, with savory chunks of Roma tomatoes. We topped it all off with a tiramisu that was pretty good (I prefer a more cake-like texture, this was a more soft cheesecake-like texture). The amazing part, though, was the price. Under $25 for everything! That seals it. I'm gonna have the band try to play a show here every chance we get. Next time, though, I'll try their homemade cheesecake on for size. Maybe I'll see you there.

Sit at the bar or at a table near the bar. They have some great wines to choose from. They know there wines too. The prosciutto wrapped dates are amazing!! Side of meat balls, perfecto with garlic knots. Veggie stack with balsamic, the best. Order slices of pizza any way you want it. Service is top notch.

My wife and I went there on a friday night, the place was packed, so we sat at the bar to eat, service was very friendly but the food was terrible. we tried the calamari for appetizer, the marinara sauce tasted very fresh but the calamari was overcooked and under seasoned, really had no flavor to it. then the pizza, they must use the cheapest cheese available, it tasted like process cheese, not mozzarella, the green peppers were mushy like they had been cooked for hours, same for the mushrooms, tasted like can mushrooms. All those restaurants who uses brick oven tell their customers that it's ok if the pizza is burned because it's cooked in a very hot oven ( and they have never master the way to control the heat). Are people really that gullible, would you eat burned steak because you have the hottest BBQ in town. I worked in an italian restaurant years ago and we had a brick oven for the pizza and when we burned it we didn't serve it. Wake up people, it's not OK to eat burned food. Because someone tells you that this is the way we serve our pizza "crisp and well done" doesn't make it OK.

I had the Neapolitan pepperoni pizza and it was very good. Crunchy and chewy crust, and good flavor to the cheese. My dad had lasagna and raved about it. I would recommend this place if you're looking for good pizza or lasagna.

we ordered the chicken bella pizza last night for take out. it was really good! the crust was nice and chewy and the ingredients were simple but fresh. they seem to have a good balance between the new "gourmet" pizza and the old standard of new york style. i don't usually like chicken on pizza, but this was done well. maybe it was because the pieces were delicately breaded, cut small, and oh so tender. they also generously drizzled it with a good aged balsamic. yum, yum, yum, sticky fingers. we also got some knots that were good and fresh. and a greek salad that only had about 3 olives in it. the dressing and stuff was good. i just prefer my salads a little less lettuce laden. the dining room was super busy and even though the staff was too, they seemed to keep things together. it seems like a casual way for a good meal. would love to try dining in on a night when there is NOT an oscar party with my mom waiting at home.

This place is by far and wide the best pizza I've ever had in the state of Florida. If you love New York style brick oven pizza, this place is as good as it gets. We sat in the wine bar side of the restaurant and had the white pizza and a bottle of riesling. The wine menu is large and varied. We definitely enjoyed the wine we ordered. The people here are so friendly as well. The hostess stopped by and asked how everything was. She knew we were from out of town and was happy we stopped in. Our server was the nephew of the original owner and gave us some background on the place. All in all, we were VERY happy with the experience. I will definitely be stopping back in if I ever find myself passing through Stuart, Fl again.

Pizza here is very much NY style! Only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because "real" brick oven pizza should be made in an oven made of ALL brick heated by coal or wood. Just because you have electric pizza ovens "lined" with brick doesn't really mean brick oven pizza in my book...One more thing, they don't have High Chairs for babies, only booster seat for toddlers...but it's still taste good and the sauce is the best I've tasted in Florida.

I hate to repeat but Carmela's pizza IS the best pizza in town and I wish there were more of them. The place always seem busy and packed with customers and there is a cute, fluffy black cat that is almost always sitting outside on the couch before you enter the restaurant. The staff are really friendly and sometimes get the order mixed up but I'm pretty forgiving since I was there and have seen how fast-paced the place is. I have never sat in to dine at the restaurant but I have been there to pick-up food. Always call in so you don't wait there for the food. Also, I wish they had a larger and more spacious parking lot because it always seems like I'm about to hit somebody's car when I'm going to park or leave. Thin pizza is what I enjoy. Crispy crust and base of pizza. It always seems very fresh (like just been pulled out of the oven) when I take a bite out of a slice. I can't think of anything bad to say about it but if you like pizza and you haven't tried Carmela's, you've got to try it right now! After I have tried Carmela's pizza, I will never go back to trying pizza from Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Cesar and all other pizza joints. Yes, the pizza is made of cheese and bread so it is heavy food but great choice to splurge when you feel like you need to.

Best pizza in Stuart period. If you are looking for authentic NY style pizza this is your spot! They have a full menu with fantastic meals or you can just have a slice. The only downfall is they dont take credit on take out orders -- which has never stopped me from ordering a pie.

Excellent Pizza. Traditional; not "thin crust". Very fresh toppings. Good service. Wine list a bit pricey. There used to be more selections on wine list. That should bring this down a half-star, but I don't have the technology :)

We've been going to Hutchinson Island for a long time now and always pass Carmela's never having gone in. Tonight we did and it turned out to be a great decision. The pizza was as good as we were hoping it would be. It doesn't blow your mind but it's solid. Give it a try.

I don't eat cheese and always have my pizza without and love and always order thin crust pizza but I am not a fan of this pizza too floppy, but my family enjoyes. TO me a real pizza representing Italy should be thin crust and I like a crispy bread not doughy. The toppings seemed good and as I aforementioned everyone else said it was good, not the best they ever had but good quality pizza. The service was great. Be aware they only take cash or check WELCOME to the 80's lol! They serve more than pizza so try something new

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Amazing little place . I came here about a year ago and was almost distraught not being able to find it . Luckily , I found it . Did I say AMAZiNG ? My fiancé and I had : prosciutto covered dates ( to die for ) , roasted perfect in texture and embodied with flavor . Side of olives . Had a pasta fiagioli , not my favorite as I enjoy more " soupy " but full of flavor and beans and pasta . Ordered the mussels doused in white wine sauce with tomatoes and sprinkled with fresh cilantro for that extra freshness . Plentiful amount and amazing flavor ... I was very satisfied . My fiancé ordered the eggplant parmesan thick , and full of flavor . Consistently , well cooked and perfectly sliced cuts . Only recommendation , every hearty meals needs coffee . The espresso needs to be more bodies but still passable and I enjoyed my dinner , service , and ambiance amazingly & deliciously . I would recommend this gem . Enjoy !

We're from NYC originally and this is definitely our favorite pizza in the area, and that most reminds us of NYC. The prices are quite good (well, certainly by nyc standards!) and the pizza just tastes great.

Yummy brick oven pizza-try the white pizza. But get there early to avoid being rushed.

This place was horrid! Poor service and lousy food. Chicken Parm sub was served burnt! Pizza was reheated and tasteless. Do not eat here if you want good Italian!
