I went with some people from the office today with a clean slate and feelings of high hopes. This is a mediocre review of Tony & Al's for a couple of reasons. But first off, the staff and owner work incredibly hard, so a big kudos for that! However, I am once again left dissatisfied. Today I ordered the turkey bacon sub sandwich thinking I would get a hearty and fresh sandwich. The one slice of bacon was almost nonexistent (I had to look for it under the cheese when I realized I didn't taste bacon) and the sliced turkey was two, maybe three slices at best and reminded me of the packaged turkey you can get at Publix. All of this magic was covered up by a big slice of melted provolone cheese. It was under seven dollars but certainly something I could have easily recreated at home with very little effort. I also had to ask for some mayonnaise to dress the bread. Not terrible, but at the same time nothing to write home about! I will opt for the shrimp wrap next time. Of the three times I've had lunch here, this is the second disappointment I've experienced. Last time I visited with the office someone ordered a hamburger that was terribly underdone. Yuck. I will be back, but I will stick with the Italian basics of calzones, stromboli, pizza and of course the shrimp wrap. For dessert the cannoli is spectacular finish to the meal if you are so inclined! At the end of the day with seemingly limited sit-down lunch options in the area, this is a great choice provided you don't mind a heavy garlicky Italian meal in the middle of the day. For me, however I prefer something a little lighter to not bog me down!

Friendly service. Fantastic pizza. Tiny bit pricy, but they have great specials. Love this place, will never eat at that other pizza joint in Starke again.

We stopped here because of the good reviews on yelp. In a town with not much going on and not a whole lot of options this place is well worth the trip. The pizza was incredible and we loved our veggie wrap.

Stoped in cause i heard someone talking about tony and al's so i had to stop in cause i love pizza. It was amazing, the pizza and calzones is what we got. I will be back and i have to say its authentic Italian restaurant with great flavors.

Starke is not known for its restaurant scene. I love this place though. The owner is a charmer who really works to make you happy. The pizza is great and on weekends they serve pastas and other entrees. BYOB and enjoy!

Found this place on yelp while on a road trip. Nice owner, clean bathrooms and good pizza equals five stars. Only downside is they don't serve beer. For a large pizza with one topping and a iced tea the total was around 15 dollars. If in the area would try again.

Clean restaurant, friendly, and good service. If you are a vegetarian try Kim's Veggie Wrap. It has sautéed veggies and is fresh. Good stuff! I didn't try the pizza, but it sure smelled good.

Right on the Main Street of Starke sits a little bit of Italy. We stepped back in time and was greeted with a very cheerful Al. Our food was hot, prepared with fresh ingredients and delish! Thanks Tony and Al for yummy wraps and homemade soup.

Clean, fast, friendly spot with good food and a taste of Italy. Owner will make you feel at home. Also BYOB. Pizza, calzone and potato/ham soup were all very good. Pasta specials offered but not on the menu. Everything is fresh. This place is your best bet in Starke.

This was the best find in Starke. We will be stopping here in our way back to Tampa from now on. My primavera pizza was all about the veggies. They had me with the fresh basil. I would have taken a pic if my husband's stromboli, but he ate it too fast. We ordered steak subs to take home. The fries were perfect. Add two cannoli and it is heaven. Thanks Tony and Al. We love your food.

Great Pizza and Cannelloni from an amazingly fun Italian owner. Go now! He was the owner and cook of Mama Mia's (which they have closed) and told me that the deli will be featuring some of the entrees served there on Saturday. (Uncertain if it is going to be every Saturday.)

We were headed from Savannah to Clearwater and wanted to take more scenic route and found this place via Yelp. Highly recommend the steak and cheese sub and also the hot Italian sub. Both were excellent. Owners are wonderful, friendly and service was fast and attentive. Highly recommend it.

One of the worst pizzas I've had in a long time. We ordered a few larges for a family get-together. One we ordered was a typical Hawaiian. (Ham and pineapple) The ham was there but instead of pineapple it seems like they put a can of fruit cocktail on it! There were peaches and pears on it as well. Simply disgusting. The other pizzas we ordered were correct but tasted about like something you could get at a gas station. I will not be a returning customer. Staff was friendly and the pizzas were done in a timely manner.

Wow, this place is fantastic! Does not look like much from the outside and the area around it but it is definitely worth a try. Very friendly customer service. My wife and child had the pizza which they really enjoyed and I had the Italian sub. I was fantastic! Check it out.

Took a back way down from Georgia to Gainseville, FL for a football game and we found this jem of a place right here on yelp. And the reviews were all true. We ordered a pizza and demolished it. Every last bit of it. We contemplated ordering one to go! The owner/chef was amazing. He checked on us multiple times, wanted to make our experience as great as possible. Love supporting a business where the owner truly cares about your experience and the food you are consuming. Will recommend to everyone. Just wish we lived closer!

Update: They offer BOGO large 3-topping pizzas on Monday and they are always amazing. My favorite is the white pizza but every one I have tried is perfect NY style pizza. They also offer many different salads that are all delicious which is a rare find in this small town. You've got to try this place!

The pizza here is delicious, but their calzones and Strombolis are amazing! They're stuffed with mozzarella and ricotta cheese and very garlicky. Everything is very fresh!
