While driving back to St Pete from Charleston we were hungry and needed lunch. I made a wish for a restaurant that had fresh fruit and veggies with a good kids menu and a good alternative to the greasy Fast food that is offered in these parts. To my surprise Call Street Cafe popped up on yelp and I couldn't believe my eyes as I read the reviews and menu. It was the answer to my wish! When we arrived we were greeted by a wonderfully quirky 4piece band. Loved it! The food was healthy yummy and plenty! We will definitely stop again if we drive through Starke.

We went out of our way to stop here on the way to Tampa and are so glad we did! I had a Harvest Salad that was a veritable farmers market full of delicious! Spinach, strawberries, watermelon, cucumbers, craisins, almonds, feta cheese, all dressed with the Call Street Cafe's house-made balsamic vinaigrette! Heaven!!! Too full to try their muffins, cupcakes, or key lime pie. Will try them next time for sure.

When I told someone that we were stopping in Starke for lunch, they responded, "There's places to eat there??" And quite a gem Call Street Cafe is! When all you see are fast food joints, I was really happy to have Yelp lead us to a healthier, fresher option. Though we were tempted by their delicious-sounding burgers and panini, we both ordered salads. The Harvest Salad was loaded with spinach, strawberries, watermelon, sunflower seeds, and all sorts of other goodies. I got the Chef salad, which had a great portion of deli turkey, ham, and cheeses along with a boiled egg and very fresh tomatoes. Most of their dressings are house-made, and I really recommend the Honey-Rosemary dressing! I've never heard of rosemary in a dressing (or a salad, for that matter), but it really is incredible with white champagne whisked in with it. For two salads loaded with awesome toppings, the price was unbeatable. We didn't order desserts, but I have to say that based on looks alone, their muffins and cupcakes were huge and very hard to resist. They also have Key Lime Pie! Someone needs to try them out and let me know how they are!

Great Burger. You can tell its quality meat. This is the exact type of place Starke Needed. Quality food... Go. You won't regret it.

My hubby and I have been anticipating the opening of this restaurant after seeing great reviews of another restaurant with the same executive chef (and now owner of this one). Came for lunch yesterday with the family and then breakfast today with my 3yr old. They are open for breakfast (served all day with a $1 upcharge during lunch) and lunch daily, closed on Tuesdays. Both my husband and I ordered the grass-fed burger for lunch. You can add however many toppings your heart desires for the same price. Their burger is the best in town! You can tell they use a high quality beef. I had grilled onions, pepper jack and spinach on mine, and he had smoked Gouda and grilled onions, both cooked medium. They don't have fries, my usual go to with a burger, so I opted for the potato salad. Great choice with layers of flavor although it needed a little more seasoning (salt). My husband got collard greens for his side and said they were delicious, also lacking a little seasoning though. My son had a PBandJ with fruit (strawberries and grapes). The strawberries were a mushy meh and the sandwich looked like something I could whip up at home. My daughter had a side salad with ranch dressing (house made). This morning I ordered the shrimp and grits. Surprisingly, it looked like something I would have ordered from Black Sheep in Jacksonville. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Grits were nice and creamy, but I did have to add a little salt. My daughter ordered the kids pancake with bacon. She was very pleased with hers. The decor looks like it is still in the works. It looks fine, just not completely pulled together. When you walk in, you wonder if you should be seated by a hostess or seat yourself, which makes it a little awkward. Just so you are prepared, you're supposed to seat yourself. :) The servers were super nice and helpful. Even though most dishes lack a sprinkle of salt and the ambiance wasn't vibey, I dare to say this is a great addition to Starke's restaurant choices. We will be frequenting here often.

Great! Not the usual restaurant food. Healthy choices and great variety. If you think you have to be closer to the city to find a great place for breakfast or lunch, stop in and be pleasantly surprised! Very nice service, and clean.

Two VERY satisfied customers just left Starke. Found this place on YELP...traveling north from Gainesville. Absolutely delicious! Worth the drive, from anywhere! I built a breakfast bowl....huge amount of deliciously prepared ingredients at an incredibly reasonable price. My husband loved his grits (and he's fussy)....and we shared one amazing pancake! We will be back!!!!!!!!

we were only able to eat there once after the the opening!!! the food was fantastic! tried several more times, however there is not enough seating for the size of the restaurant!!! i will not stop by again until there is sufficient seating!! in addition, once sufficient seating is placed, management needs to ensure there is a written waiting list that customers to insure placement is fair. now there is not a list and seating, when available, is haphazard. once again, this restaurant and concept is a great addition to 'starke downtown'! the food is way above average and there selection of offerings is excellent! starke needed this type of upscale restaurants! once again it's lack of capacity!
