Very limited menu, and difficult to understand how the entrees were being offered (you will have to go there to understand what I mean) Food was just average, and while I don't mind paying high prices, these were very steep for what you receive. Small wine pours which are a pet peeve of mine when you are paying hefty drink prices. Personally will not return.

The service was great. Location is cozy, romantic and adorable (old cafe alma). The cocktails were fantastic. I had the cereal killer which was fantastic. The food was unfortunately overworked. The dates stuffed with chorizo smelled and tasted like hotdogs. If I liked hotdogs I would have likely loved them. The artisan cheese was good. The grits and grunts was so salty I couldn't really eat it. The Brussels sprouts were good and my wife liked the flat iron steak. I will definitely be back to visit the bar but not likely for dinner.

Walked up around 3:30, not realizing that they open at 4 pm. As we were walking up though the manager (I think) opened the door for us and welcomed us with open arms and cleared a spot for us at the bar. It was really such a kind gesture! Then he explained the cocktail menu in great detail and recommended the corpse revival which was exactly to my taste. Overall this is a wonderful atmosphere, great staff and absolutely unbelievable craft cocktails! I will definitely be back in the future!

Station house is my new go to in St. Pete. The location is conveniently located downtown but not dead in the center which is favorable because there is less foot traffic. The restaurant is located in the basement so it can be hard to miss when looking for it. The decor and inside is all brand new and very chic. They completely renovated everyThing which really created a beautiful atmosphere. The environment is clean and very inviting. The food, drinks and service were all on point. They have small planes which is nice if you want to snack on something while you enjoy a nice cocktail. Dinner is served till midnight which is awesome! Then they switch to a late night menu but still they serve food the whole time they are open, this is hard to find. The service was the best part. Patrick is an amazing server! He really made the experience for us. Jason and Brian are also great bartenders. They are very polite and definitely know what they are doing behind the bar. I love station house and will definitely be sending all of my friends here! Best place in St Pete for a good time!

Went the day before Valentines (Friday). I had made a reservation for 5pm...early to beat the crowds, and hoping to have some time to relax and talk. Decor is lovely. Food unimpressive, small portions, service was so rushed as though we were taking up someone else's table. We were the only ones there except for a few at the bar. Ordered a Moscow mule...one of my favorites. ..doesn't come close to the Don Cesars. Overall disappointing experience. Our waitress was the killer. Worst rushed service ever. As a restaurant person and professional chef I did not appreciate the treatment.

Great dinner. Most plates are small and intended to share. We had about 9 different plates and all were good and some were great. Get the chicken wings. Brussels sprouts are awesome. Don't skip dessert.

We went with a small group and really wanted to like this place but left disappointed. Our waiter was very nice but they seemed understaffed on the floor and in the kitchen. The signature cocktails were made with low end liquor (using old overhalt rye whiskey at $15 for 750 ml at total wine) and short poured. Food portions were suppose to be for sharing but seemed single servings. We had crab dip with greasy chips and a cheese plate with prunes. Yes prunes not figs and very little cheese or anything else. Just a few things could make a big difference - we will see if the owner figures it out. We won't be rushing back.

Cool place! St. Pete gets a really neat Speak-Easy-style bar and restaurant. Service has been good the 2 times I've been here. And almost everything we've tried on the menu has been delicious. In particular the steak and chicken entrees. I'll be back again!

I like to make notes on a place while I'm there, so I don't forget everything when I finally get around to reviewing it. I try to note only note-worthy things, and these are based on my personal experiences. I think bullet points may be helpful here, as there is no need to narrate the entire experience. I've been here about 4 times, which says something about the general quality. Small plates rule here. Every time we go, we bring out-of-town friends, and it's like a family free-for-all. When one thing is finished, sometimes we order another one, because everyone obviously loved it enough to destroy it. They are true "small plates," in that it's not too big for one person, but it's enough for 3 people. Definitely bring friends. * Location: tucked away downtown, in a beautiful cellar-like building. You walk down a few steps to get to it, so it's not at street level. It feels like you're entering a clean, cozy wine cellar, but it's surprisingly spacious. Note that it's easy to miss the entrance, if you're anything like me (lost). * Bathrooms: nice, clean, 3 stalls, but nothing spectacularly memorable. It's a bathroom. It's far enough away from the dining area that neither party becomes uncomfortable. You know what I mean. * Drinks: creative and nicely balanced, plus they'll make you anything involving spirits. * Hot chocolate: tastes like cake and feels like light pudding * Falafel fries: seems house/hand made. 'squishy and good' was my reaction. Crispy on the outside and soft, almost spreadable on the inside. I always get 2 orders of this one. * Waitstaff: extremely attentive but not overly so * Pork: vinegar balanced by peanuts balanced by puffed rice balanced by slight BBQ taste Perfectly crunchy outside with fall apart tender in middle, slaw tastes a bit like vinaigrette * Music: perfect volume, smooth funk jazz - sexy but subdued * Acoustics of the building make convos REALLY LOUD, especially at the bar. Sometimes you find yourself accidentally spying on other parties' conversations. 2nd, 3rd, or 4th visit (I forgot which was which) These are individual things that happened ONCE, so they do not reflect the average experience, plus I was feeling picky some evenings: * Pork: no puffed rice. Just pork on a plate with wet slaw, but the pork was tender as always. * The area in which we are seated smells like dirty mop water. I can't stand this smell. They probably just mopped, but it was all I could smell. * Radicchio salad: overly dressed, the only 3 croutons are drowned * Charcuterie: bread is not matched to pate; it didn't really hold up to the spreading process * Crab claws are not pre-cracked, which is a quick, basic and common process when serving them.

I'm so glad we decided to give this place a try! Everything was fantastic. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu, which featured many unique and creative twists on classic American cocktails. I tried their rendition of the Manhattan ($12) which was good, but not great. The food is served in a sort of tapas style. Everything we ordered to eat was very tasty. The clear standouts were the bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo, and the Brussel sprouts (which were seasoned perfectly). I highly recommend this place, and I look forward to going back and trying some more menu items.

So good! B en there a few times. Love their craft cocktails. Very delicious and refreshing. The apps are good size for sharing and presentation is great. Love their brunch! Ham and cheese is amazing! Huge and yummy. Grits and grunts were was my latest treat and it came out great. It's served with eggs of choice. Unbelievable. The fish was a bit greasy, but still very good. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Never had a bad experience with anyone. I'll be coming back again and again. :-)

I've been here twice for brunch. Small menu but it's done really well. Bloody Mary bar! And awesome craft drinks menu! Has a New Orleans feel to it. Love the space and staff is always nice.

Planned to have dinner before Rowdies game at another restaurant that had a wait that was too long. So glad we came here! From the hostesses to the server to the food...everything was great! No one had a less than awesome meal! The Old Fashioned and the Russian Punch recommended by our server (Candice=Awesome) were great. KFC wings, falafel fries, bell ringers to start were superb! Steak a la Plancha, Gulf Shrimp, and Red Grouper for dinner were fantastic. Everything seasoned well and prepared perfectly. Everything came for sharing so we got to taste everything. Our water glasses were never empty. Manager stopped by to ensure our dining experience was good. My 11 year old and 13 year old have already asked if we can come back!

Visiting Family in Clearwater, I was given the task of finding some place nice for dinner. I'll admit I scrolled though pages and pages of listing on Yelp without being inspired. Plenty of places that looks good, but nothing that jumped out as what I was looking for. The descriptions of Station House St Pete sounded more like it, and I have to say that this place landed right in my wheel house. All the food was delicious. I liked the variety of backgrounds for the various dishes, keeping to the theme of comfort food. The drinks list was perhaps more witty and evocative than it was informative. No real ingredients listed but I'll admit that their little epigrams did give a reasonably good idea of what to expect. One other minor complaint would be that all the food (and we did order a lot!) came out pretty much at once. Which was a little overwhelming.

This spot has great ambiance and service is perfect. The food: - Korean fried chicken: not bad, but not the Korean friend chicken i'm used to from NYC - We ordered the grouper for our 8 and 5 year old and they loved it. - the falafel fries: not bad - grist and grunts: not bad drinks were great!

Great ambiance but the food and cocktails weren't worth the price. Two cocktails and two appetizers were $35 but the drinks were weak and the appetizers were tasty but really small portions. I might go back and try brunch but only because I've seen pictures of that bloody Mary bar!

Absolutely amazing food and fantastic service!! This place is perfect for a romantic dinner with your wife or that special lady in your life. I can not stress how delicious the flavour of the food was. Everything was paired well and I had one of the best evenings of my life. So very grateful for a place like this. It is a MUST TRY for the St. Pete area!! You will not be disappointed!!

This is more of a 3.5 rather than a 3 . I will update the review when I go again in a month or two. I've been looking forward to a new my go to place to dine. Station House is good but it isn't my go to place yet. I only say this because they are fairly new and they need to iron out some of their service issues. Totally understandable since the first time I was here they were open 9 days and the second time 3 weeks. Let me start with saying I love the ambiance, the decor is great, warm and very comfortable. This is a place I could hang out with my friends for a cocktail and a light bite to eat. As for service, well it seems to be a bit slow but hopefully as time goes on it will get better. I will say the first time we went the service was extremely slow and the food came out and different times rather than all of us having our dishes and being able to eat together. They were apologetic and brought us 2 bottles of champagne which totally made up for it :-) Great customer service, which is very important and will keep me coming back. Now on to the food. It's good but nothing has wowed me yet. I do think they need a few more dishes, maybe a pork and a duck dish.If you like seafood you;ll be in heavy because there are a lot of seafood items. Usually I feel many restaurants have way too many dishes which is hard to makes it hard to focus and make sure what you have is great. On our first trip the two things I wanted to order they didn't have but again they were only for 9 days so it's understandable. I ended up getting the radicchio salad , brussel sprouts and our table ordered the kale chips, the clam dip and falafal fries The salad was really good, very flavorful ,loved the brussel sprouts and I don't really like brussel sprouts but they were really good, the falafal fries were ok, the texture was a little weird and the sauce with was a little bitter , it might have had too much tahini in it. Good Kale chips, I wish they turned out like that when I make them at home. Love the drink menu and how creative it is. The drinks were great but I think the price is a bit high in regards to the amount you get. There is a lot of ice and not much liquid. I understand higher end drinks are expensive but you usually get a little more than a few sips of a drink. Also some people received the drink with garnish while others didn't, so the consistency is a little off. SO my overall feeling is a good place but since but they are new and are ironing out some of the issues. I will definitely be back and update my review.,

This place is swanky! Love the atmosphere. I could almost convince myself we were in NYC. We had brunch on Sunday, my favorite meal of the week. Our friends recommended the "morning after" breakfast sandwich. Killer. It has scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, and a seedy mustard on pressed bread. The bacon and sausage were not your average meat. They were sooooooo tasty, cooked perfect, thick cut, juicy deliciousness. I had a bloody mary that was pretty delicious too. They even have a do-it-yourself bloody mary bar. My friend had the blueberry ricotta pancakes, which he said he really enjoyed and would order again. Definitely a new place we will be repeat customers.

Great service, great drinks, mediocre food. The first time I was here it was for a bachelorette party. They had us in a private dining area and we had a wonderful evening. The service was impeccable and our drinks were spot on. I got the grits and grunts dish, which was good, but a bit salty. The sides we had were good as well, but nothing out of this world for the cost. The second time I came with my boyfriend and a friend. I had the steak and it was very good. My boyfriend had the grits and grunts dish and once again it seemed too salty. I think the trick here is to pick wisely with your dishes. Some are good and others aren't worth it. Despite the food this spot is great for a drink. The atmosphere is unlike any in St. Pete. There's also a speakeasy in the back that I have yet to try!

Sweet location, sweet service, OK food. I've heard alot of things about this place, all mostly raving reviews. Tried it out myself. Brussel Sprouts were OK, a little burned. The Flat Iron Steak was kinda meh. Maybe it was the cut - maybe it was the cow - maybe it was maybelline. It was presented really nicely so when I put the steak in my mouth, I had very high expectations - and was sorta' let down. Service was on point though and the ambience is definitely catered for your 40s gentlemen who likes "lounge music" which is really just covers of Kenny G. I didn't try their cocktails though, which is what they're known for. The one thing that was amazing though was the desert. It's the only one on the menu and that was like beyond good. Imagine if maple trees had vaginas, and you ate the maple tree out, the desert is what it would have orgasmed. The desert kind of made it worth it, but kinda sorta not. It's definitely a little on the pricey end and I've had much better meals at the $25+ price range.

Just came back from dinner. I loved the renovation of the restaurant. It looked nicer than Cafe Alma. We were greeted nicely but as soon as we were seated it took forever for our order to be taken. The waiter appeared distracted but also a little snarky and short. All the foods that we ordered were tasty but not "man, i can't wait to come back!" My cocktail, a dirty martini, tasted nice but definitely not strong enough. My reason for the 2 stars? Our food came out at odd times and it took FOREVER to get our cheese plate, an ungodly amount of time and the waiter's excuse was that there was a back up in the kitchen. I found that to be a weird excuse because the table next to us had been seated way after us and was on their 3rd course before we even were served our cheese. I won't recommend The Station House at all. Sorry.

So this place is such an ambience improvement over the Cafe Alma. Feels so much more elegant with cushioned booths a wall to separate the areas of the restaurant which cut down on ambient noise. The bartenders are great mixoligist. Will follow up more with about the great menu.

The Station House is a unique and delicious experience. The atmosphere is charming and comfortable, The flavor combinations and balance in their drink and food options is astounding with an elevated touch at very reasonable prices. The Station House is definitely going to be a regular for Blue Bison Media client meetings and just bringing the family or friends.

First off, I'm stoked at Pete is able to generate such a quality restaurant. This place is awesome, has the perfect atmosphere, etc etc. feels a lot like a speakeasy, mildly similar to a mix between ciro's and oxford exchange. I had brunch here and it was pretty great; got the brioche French toast, home fries, and the omelette, as well as some fresh squeezed OJ. This isn't going to be very helpful, but everything was perfect and completely in par with the quality if the decor. I want to see this place succeed because it's the most justice I've seen bestowed on a st Pete restaurant in ten years. Find it underground in the big white 100 year old building down town. A small critique to management: your dinner menu needs a vegetarian dish Love, Blake

4 of use went there last week and was blow away. We all shared and ordered a nice variety of items Falafel fries-I would not have ordered but were a hit -hot and tasty. The Tuna Poppa was a great dish--fresh and flavorful. We also had the Whitefish Crudo-which was Pompano that night. WOW the best i ever had-raw fresh fish rolled up with all kinds of tasty treats. Only complaint there -wish we ordered TWO. We also had the Grits and Grunts-creamy grits with crispy fried fish with ham --yes it was outstanding. Our server Lindsey was a true delight-she knew the menu and was helpful to our table. Thanks for a great evening. We all were glad to have gone and will be back.

Huge improvement over the cafe alma space. The new decor really compliments the space. The drinks are really great, but the menu is overly cryptic. They really need to list the ingredients for each drink, rather than necessitating that your server explain the whole menu. We had two brambles and a Russian punch, all three were very good. We ordered the stuffed dates, broccolini, tuna tartare, and whitefish crudo. The dates were wonderful, sweet, smoky and meaty. The tuna was also great and huge. The broccolini was a pleasant surprise, perfectly cooked. The crudo was a bit of a miss, very small portion, bland, and the fish was a little too warm. Overall, the menu needs retooling. It's hard to understand what is and is not meant to be shared and the entrees are very limited. They probably need to just stick with the tapas concept and go whole hog with that. The total bill came out to $90, which felt a little steep and will probably limit how often we visit. We will go back for brunch though.

We were in town for the weekend and decided to check it out because we had received cards from a manager of our hotel for free appetizers. The appetizer is great and one of the coolest places I've been to in St. Pete. The food is average, but their drinks are great! However, they are known for their Moscow Mule, but don't serve it in a copper mug. I'm also leaving 3 stars because there were many tables open when we arrived at 7:30, but were told we couldn't get a table until 9. We sat at the bar, and many of the tables didn't fill up the entire time we were there. Overall, worth checking out, but make a reservation and expect to wait.

Surprised by others' comments about the decor being such improvement over what it was when it was Cafe Alma. It's different, but it's still a dark cave. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's certainly not a "wow" space. Our server, a petite blonde, was fantastic: Attentive, knowledgeable, warm. Other than the friends with whom we were dining, I'd say she was the highlight. The food, like the decor, wasn't bad, but not worth the price tag. Cheese board was uninspired. The crostini served with that and the charcuterie was grocery-grade bread. The cheeses and meats were fine, but not great. If they can figure out how to make the falafel fries crispy instead of soggy, they'd be pretty good. The pan-seared red grouper had a nice mix of flavors and textures, but the pan-sear made it feel greasy and heavy in spite of light citrus notes. Mixed reviews on the cocktails, with different opinions on the quality of the drinks themselves, and uniform agreement on wait time. The idea of a hand-crafted cocktail is nice, but the time it takes to manage all that pomp and circumstance sure does kill the momentum of an evening. Overall, if we're invited to join people at Station House we won't balk, but we won't be excited about it, either.

We went there for date night and we really enjoyed our experience. Our waitress Lindsay was awesome, the food was so flavorful and the seats were very comfortable! And we will definitely be back for the unique drinks! With my business just a few blocks away, I would like to host an employee Christmas party there as well. They have private rooms that offers enough space and privacy for guests.

My wife and I went there during the soft opening and had a great time. When we go out to eat we look for four things: 1. Great service: 2. Great atmosphere: 3. Great cocktails: 4. Good food that is not too expensive. The Station House definitely hits on all of these marks and is a welcome addition to St. Pete. The atmosphere was great. Well lit, not too bright, but intimate. The music was also awesome, playing independent music (The Shins, Vampire Weekend) but not too loudly. They have a great cocktail program as well. This is the first restaurant in downtown St. Pete that has a great drinks that match their food. My wife had a rye cocktail with Cynar and I had a great cocktail well. After our first round, the bartender made us two off menu drinks, both of which were excellent. While they are still working on the menu, we enjoyed what we had. My wife had tabouleh and falafel fries and I had a fantastic chicken dish. Both were reasonably priced. The service was also great. The bartenders were warm and knowledgeable. The managers gave us a tour of the building and what is to come. We cannot wait to go back and are very excited about this brand-new restaurant!

Always a delicious time when I come to Station House. I have been a fan since they opened and will keep coming back because it's that awesome! Grub? 4 Stars... Drinks? 5 stars... Atmosphere? 5 stars... Staff? 4 stars... I always have a great time here. The menu is small bites, but isn't that enough? It's a different take on new American style cuisine. You will be surprised at their take on all things sensory. The cocktails are indeed the star here. Grab a seat at the bar and let one of the fabulous "startenders", like Rose, make you a terrific craft cocktail. Try an Aviation or a Blueberry Moscow Mule. A ton of great drinks are waiting to be tried, so pacing is always good. Oh and by the way, if you recognize brunch as a contact sport, theirs is incredible! I had the smoked salmon benedict and it changed my life. Capers, hollandaise sauce, avocado, poached eggs, thick toast.... I nearly wept!! It was truly that delicious. Do Station House for the drinks and the food, but absolutely check it out for the atmosphere, the staff, and the vibe. Very hip! Very unique! Very St. Pete.

Yet another place St. Pete can be proud of. We went with a large group and the service was amazing, food is indescribable - it can only be experienced. Prices are unbelievably low for such incredible creations and the atmosphere is great. Definitely recommend and can not wait to return.

No complaints. Lovely ambiance, very warm and a bit romantic. Service was excellent with manger also stopping by tables. The menu consists of mostly small plates and a few entrees. Notable dishes were The "KFC"(Korean Fried Chicken) which were well seasoned with a mild spice. The Brussel Sprouts were also great. Cocktails were delicious but could be stronger. Overall a great addition to downtown St. Pete.

This would be a 3.5 if Yelp had the option. I think they could potentially be a 4 or 4.5 if a few things improve. The atmosphere was great, dark and moody but not too dark to where you couldn't read the menu. The lighting was great. We sat at the bar area before being seated and ordered a few drinks. The $8 Malbec was terrible. There are good Malbecs you can get for cheap, so hopefully they change brands. The drink menu was frustrating because none of the cocktails listed the ingredients. They tried to make little witty descriptions for each cocktail which I didn't care for at all; just tell me what's in it. I ordered the Corpse Reviver #2, but it was not very good. A Corpse Reviver #2 should be 1/4 sour, with Lillet, gin, and Cointreau making up the rest of the drink, but this did not taste balanced. It was far too sour, probably closer to 1/2 lemon juice. My friend and I both ordered an Old Fashioned just before being seated at our table. I'm not sure if the ice was too small, or if the bartender stirred them too much, but our drinks were far too watered down. I would expect this if I was at a sports bar, but not at a restaurant where they cost $10. The glass that the bartender was making the Old Fashioned in should have been chilled beforehand, and the ice cubes should have been larger. Between the Old Fashioned and the Corpse Reviver, I believe the bartender working that night was either very rushed, or just not that good. We got seated at a table with a booth on one side and chairs on the other. The booth was very comfortable. Our server was great. Very knowledgeable on the menu. The food itself was all excellent. There were 4 of us and we shared everything. The creamed kale with gruyere was particularly excellent, as was the steak. I think the menu needs some more options though. There were only 3 entrees to choose from. Overall we found the atmosphere to be great, the food to be great, and the service to be great, but the drinks we had really brought down the whole experience.

I was very impressed with this place. It's very cozy and upscale looking with very interesting seating. My boyfriend took me out on a date night and it was the best part of the night. The menu is kind of small but the prices were great for the portions and all of the food was amazing. It looked like they had a private room for reservations which would be awesome for any large event. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew a lot of the background on the wines and cocktails. We will definitely be back and recommend giving it a try!

First trip the The Station House was Easter of all days & it was an amazing experience. Alex was very accommodating & Rose was our server. She was very knowledgeable about the drinks & what to pair them with. The cheese grits are a MUST try!

I do not understand what the hype is about this place. Do not even consider if you're expecting a hearty meal as entrees are very limited. I ordered a Dirty Martini with their special "house" vodka and it tasted like slushy water. This is a classic cocktail and should be made that way. No slush! The waiter was accommodating, returning our drinks for Martini's with Ketel One. They were slush free but still watered down. The cheeseboard included a selection of two meats and two cheeses which four of us shared. The cheese portions weren't suitable for one person, never-mind two or four. The clam dip was served with potato chips which was just okay. The bacon wrapped dates were tasty. The one star is for the nice waiter and the ambiance.

This has been our neighborhood go-to spot. We have frequented this restaurant multiple times. The food, service and ambience at Station House gets better and better with each visit. Whether you are getting a drink at the bar or utilizing their private dinning facility, Station House will aim to please! Ro Patel and the rest of the staff are fantastic. The attention to detail is greatly appreciated. In terms of food and drinks, I recommend starting with the oysters and crudo paired with a corpse reviver cocktail. I also recommend sharing plates to maximize your foodie experience. We love the brussels sprouts, chicharones, steak, KFC wings, pork caps, and tabouli.

This is the old Cafe Alma which sits below ground in an old historic firehouse. The space is comfortable although, being below grade it reminds me of being in a cave. We started with their signature drinks for my wife and the three others in our party. I can't speak to their quality since I don't drink fancy mixed drinks but my wife and the others seemed to enjoy them. The menu is made up mostly of tapas (or appetizer style servings, and truthfully I was not impressed. The charcuterie platter (at $18) consisted of some lame Publix quality cheeses (2 small chunks), a small wedge of pate that was edible but forgettable, a small dish of pickles and 4 or 5 thin slices of low quality pepperoni that had absolutely no flavor. These meats and cheeses, according to the server were substituted for menu items they didn't have in stock. Very disappointing. And, don't even think of ordering the clam dip with homemade potato chips. The chips were delicious, the dip was watery and tasteless. $187 later (before tip), the only thing I can say was worth the money was a tuna appetizer, well seasoned with sesame oil and seeds and the roasted brussel sprouts. Would I go back? No.

At first, my friend told me that it was just a bar. But once I tried the food, I was like BAMMMMM. I had the chicken, steak, and falafel fries. All three were delicious. I sat at the bar and everyone was extremely friendly. My bartender recommended me a beer which was fantastic and it went well with the fries. The interior was also gorgeous. It is probably the perfect place to take someone! It totally made me yoloswag.

A very different but outstanding dining experience. Very diverse menu with exceptional flavored. We were with 2 other couples so we shared a wide range of items and all were excellent

This is a great new addition to downtown St. Pete. The place has a retro yet modern feel. The service was good, there when you need them but not intrusive. Ambiance was nice but it was very loud, hard to hear the person across the table. The cocktails were well crafted and delicious. Food comes out quickly and as soon as it's done. We had the K.F.C Wings which were good but a bit too spicy, seemed to overpower any of the flavors. The Cauliflower Taboule was an interesting and refreshingly fresh twist. The Broccolini were nothing special and the portion seemed very small. Grits + Grunts were delicious and probably the biggest portion. The White Florida Gulf Shrimp was nothing special but very spicy. Watercress + Endive Salad was nice and refreshing. Over all I think it was a good experience. Hopefully they will play with the menu a bit more and increase their portion sizes. I would like to try this place again in a few months.

Great ambience and unique, albeit limited, menu. Food is absolutely incredible. Espresso will be a welcome addition. Service is good and will probably improve as the newness wears off, but pre-bussing could be more prompt. Drinks are relatively pricey and poured light, but prices are consistent with other similarly situated restaurants in downtown St. Pete. I look forward to a larger and more diverse menu and better value for liquor drinks.

Loved this spot! Totally in a tapas frame of mind and because the Tampa Bay Times recommended them in the top 50 restaurants in the area, I went with my husband and a friend of ours pretty late on a Saturday night. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations for small parties, but we were in luck! 3 friends were just finishing up at the bar when we arrived (& were told it was 1.5 hrs. for a table!) Cozied up to the bar and had a GREAT time! Thought we'd try some of their unique cocktails and ended up having 3 a piece, they were really good! I had the Corpse Reviver and was really glad I did. My husband had a Moscow Mule and 3 Old Fashions, our friend tried out 2 cocktails and a great glass of red wine. We also pigged out. Artisan Cheese plate with 4 varieties (I ate most of it!), marinated olives, falafel fries, broccolini, raw oysters (really good!), and an ahi tuna dish that were all FABULOUS. My friend got the steak la plancha and said it was one of the best he'd had in Florida (he's a steak snob). Couldn't ID what cut of meat it was, but said it, along with the nice red wine he ordered, was devine. My husband got the fish special (can't recall what it was) - very strange because I wrote a review but it disappeared! I will def. go back to this place soon! You should go, it's great! Big improvement from Cafe Alma, which I liked. Happy to hear they have a big late night menu too!

Cocktails were delicious - the "cereal killer" concoction was especially notable. The food itself was pretty unique and above par on the whole. A great addition to downtown St. Pete.

I had drinks with family tonight and Rose was the best at the bar keeping us entertained and well furnished with drinks. I wanted a drink not on the menu and she was able to make the perfect drink. The appetizers were hot and yummy. I am looking forward to a second visit for dinner.

You know those restaurants where you can spend three hours with friends enjoying a great conversation and reconnecting because the atmosphere, food, and service are amazing? The Station House provides just that! The flat iron steak, jet pilot cocktail and cheese board hit the spot! We will definitely be back once they officially open. A little tough to find since there isn't an obvious sign on the street but look for the illuminated (at night) menu and walk down the stairs (it's at the basement level but not completely underground. We sat next to the window, so no claustrophobic feeling or anything :-). Cozy, intimate and stylish. This place will probably be around for a long time!

Foodies love to tell and write about the places they eat and the wonderful atmosphere and presentation some restaurants create. This place is foodie paradise! Start by sitting at the bar and talking to some of the best cocktail crafters south of the Mason-Dixon Line. They have a creative menu to order from but I always prefer to chat with Richard and let him know what I'm thinking and let him create. Never been let down yet taking that approach. Last night started with a small batch bourbon I've never heard of but comes from the Michter's family. Wonderful! There was three of us and we all got drinks to suit our tastes. Now to the food, the chicharrones are porky crispy with a rich decadent dip, great starter. Along with that, we were hungry, we got the bell- ringers, bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We were encouraged to keep sharing even the courses so we did! Next came the Pork cap, I'm not a huge pork eater but this has so much flavor with the Chinese 5 spice seasoning and the peanuts this was a home run. Then came the chicken breast, another item I normally avoid because I like the dark meat, yet this was another winner. The stew it was sitting on melded well with the nice roasted white meat. We finished with my favorite item, the grits and grunts. Get this if its your first time there. They are just perfect and shows off the best from chef. So come hungry and thirsty foodies, you won't be disappointed!

Was in town for the weekend and went here Saturday night for dinner. Located in the "basement" of a building, you walk in and have the bar right in front of you. A cool looking restaurant with eclectic decor but a little too dark, exposed brick throughout the restaurant, and a private room in the back for parties. I thought that the service was great and so were the mixed cocktails, BUT the food was a little lacking and a bit overpriced in my personal opinion. I ordered the steak a la plancha which was $24. (flat iron, smashed yukon potatoes, black garlic broccolini red chimichurri) Wasn't really in the mood to have mashed potatoes, I asked if I can substitute the mashed potatoes with something else. Was told that they do not make substitutions. That they can leave the potatoes off and I can order one of the sides instead... That would've put my entree at $30!!! no thanks! Besides my unwanted mashed potatoes, the food was good but definitely not worth the $24. A cool hip restaurant located in Downtown St Pete, don't think that I would eat here again.. but I would drop back in for a cocktail or 2.

Went for brunch Sunday...and while it was a nice experience with great service - the food and value seemed a bit off. The bacon-wrapped, fried oyster benedict was solid, but using bread (instead of English Muffins) felt like a failed gimmick. I didn't like the lack of texture the bread provided...it was just soft, flavorless couch for the main ingredients. At 18 dollars (high even for downtown St Pete), I was amazed to see that included NO sides. So add 5 bucks for a side of home fries and you have a 23.00 entree. There's no reason you don't include a small side with this dish unless you are trying to cover a rent cost that Alma had to leave because of. The 'grits and grunts' were decent, but unremarkable. We also tried the feta-salmon benedict (also on the soft-couch bread)...nothing overly special. We walked out of there with a 75 dollar check (including tip) and not feeling like the experience was truly worth it. Ambiance & service 4-5 stars, but the food was too meh to revisit.

Tried to go for brunch. They're BIG opportunity (as they had only ONE other customer at 11:30 AM.) Picked up their menu on Yelp and it was very enticing. We were really looking forward to a quiet Sunday morning brunch. The music was literally BLASTING...and for WHOM? The employees of course. Why would I want to subject myself to that? They've got it TOTALLY WRONG if they think they are compelling folks to come in with their 'hip' tunes. NO, they're driving folks away instead. When will they 'get' that? Dudes, this is NOT Push Ultra Lounge on a Saturday night. It's SUNDAY frickin' morning.

This restaurant is definitely trying hard. Eclectic fare, and high-end for St. Pete. Decor is kind of weird; there's the main restaurant and bar, a separate bar, and the bathroom and they're all decorated differently. It's too dark in the dining area. This place used to be Cafe Alma, and they have a really cool spot underground. Very attentive waiters and water service. Our waiter came by a little too often to check on us. Falafel fries, braised kale, chicharrones with labneh, and bell-ringers. I'll elaborate. The falafel fries were arranged like a Jenga tower. They definitely tasted like falafel but the texture was not really there--too soft inside, not soft outside, and not super pleasant to eat. They came with a tahini sauce. Kale was kale. Chicharrones--I expected pork belly, like meat and fat and grease, but it was just giant pieces of pork rinds. With....labneh? Okay. I ate it. The labneh had some really spicy stuff on it. My favorite was the bell-ringers, which are supposed to be medjool dates wrapped in bacon with chorizo and apricot. I can't say I noticed the last two ingredients. These were delicious: whoever thought of the date/bacon marriage is clever. However, I felt the ratio of date-to-bacon was a little big. There was SO much date. And my biggest complaint is the large and offensive peppercorns I kept tasting. This dish does not need peppercorns. They ruined the dish for me, but I liked it. This place has some improvements with the food, and other aspects. However, it was very unique, so I'd come back in a few months to see if anything's changed.
