Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

Loved the chicken gyros. Share a salad.

5 for customer service! I Came in 15 minutes before they opened without knowing it and they served me with a smile. I also went to the restroom towards the end of my lunch ( I know TMI) when I can back my food and drink was cleared from the table. The employee/manager? Asked if I had finished.. I told her I had not but its ok I only had a little food left. She apologized and insisted on getting me a whole new order to go. I explained it was not necessary I just wanted to take my drink to go. However she insisted and got me a whole new meal to go in minutes. Thanks for exceeding my expectations as a customer.

I think I have been spoiled by the fantastic Greek food at Pita Jungle in Phoenix and in tarpon Springs because I was so disappointed with little Greek. I wanted to grab a snack to try them out because they are right around the corner from my house and I was hoping to order in the future. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from them. I agree with a previous reviewer with regards to the falafel. It is just terrible. They were hard and doughy, like they had been frozen. I ordered pita bread and tzatziki sauce and the tzatziki was so thick and gross... like they had put mayonnaise in it or something. It was absolutely flavorless. Additionally, I was a little grossed out by the line cook who pulled up his pants with his gloves hands and the proceeded to grab my pita from the grill and cut it. Yuck.

We stopped in for lunch recently as we wanted to try a different Greek place that was close. We normally go to Athenian Garden up the road, but wanted to give this place a chance. She ordered a salad and I ordered a gyro. Both were decent, but nothing really stood out about the food. I would stop again in a pinch if Athenian Garden wasn't open, but would not choose this place over it if I had the option.

I've been coming to St. Pete on business for over a year, but only just discovered this gem (it's hidden in what seems to be an abandoned mini strip mall area. You have to drive around the corner through some sketchy lots). In a hub area of greasy fast food, this place is a shining star of good, fresh, tasty food and is less than 5 minutes from the office! It hit the spot, and it's absolutely my go-to place from now on. - Gyro pita - meat was very tender, pita was soft, tzaziki was delicious and addicting. Only negative... too big and hard to eat with the shredded lettuce overflowing! Side note: I don't even like gyro meat... I usually go with the chicken, but this was SO good! - Fries - light and freshly fried, well seasoned, not too salty and not too greasy. - Village Salad - VERY yummy. Different from what I'm used to (this one had less cucumber and more peppers), but it was quite good. And the potato salad scoop on top was surprisingly good as well! I could just eat this! - Hummus/pita - This was only okay, compared with the rest. Warming the pita was a nice touch. In the end - it's not a fancy place, so don't expect that kind of atmosphere, but if you want great food and REALLY helpful, attentive staff, this is the place! The women working there were wonderful and went above and beyond... even checking in on me from time to time to make sure things were good/okay... this is an "order at the counter" place... they don't have to do that!

Gyros were going and may was toasted fresh. Nothing exceptional on menu than any Greek spot.

Good healthy food. I travel to St. Petes every month and this is the only place that is walking distance of me with healthy food. Fast service.

Ate here the other day had the lamb rice and salad very flavorful salad was fresh pita and tatziki was good but unfortunately the lamb was so tuff I could get much down I told the manager. . He says because it was over cooked. . Ok then fix it. .
(3)Courtney S.
The Greek salad is so delicious, especially with the potato salad! Plus the prices are decent too!

I have been here several times. So while I rate it only 3 stars, I will explain why. It's definitely fast food and I wouldn't prefer to eat in. It's great take away because their salads are huge, fresh and chopped if you prefer (Which I do). Soups are usually very tasty but could be a bit hotter. Pita bread is delish Chicken and lamb skewers are super puny - I probably wouldn't order again Chopped greek salad - delish! hummus - pretty tasty Felafel - not the best I have had, not the worst I have had For to-go, it's healthy and tasty but I wouldn't bring anyone here on a date night.

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The portions are generous. The atmosphere and staff are welcoming. I eat at Little Greek as a dine in or carry out customer about once a week and will continue to do so. Due to my busy schedule, t here are some nights I need good food fast - thanks Little Greek.

Little Greek have delivery now. That's amazing. I love the concept of this place a fast healthy Greek food with an average price menu. Fresh food, fresh ingredient and it taste good. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know. :)

Still same great food! I use them as caterer also. My customers love their food. They have TVs now.

I like to eat and quite frankly I get a little mad when I waste one of life's meals at a bad restaurant. My experience here was one of these times. Maybe I'm spoiled. I've eaten some REALLY GREAT Greek food- moist, flavorful falafel, fresh seasoned gyro... this place was not the case. I had the small greek salad. Disappointing because I could go to any fast food joint for the white iceberg pieces and soggy tomato. For some reason they topped it with mashed potato and not feta. WHAT!? And when I requested for beets on top (which is one of the choices) there was only one. And it looked SAD. I got a side of falafel to go on top and I LOVE falafel. I'm also one to finish my plate all the time and I couldn't. This falafel was terrible. My husband got the gyro pita and the meat was GROSS!!! It had the texture of something out of my high school cafeteria and the taste of a sneaker sole. Needless to say we won't be going back. Sad too, it's within walking distance to our place. AVOID IT AND SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!

I had lunch here today - Chicken Souvlaki Skewers. Meat was awesome as were the Pitas. The salad was fresh and I ate every bit that wasn't touching the potato salad. The white stuff that came on the side - not sure if that was tzatziki. If so, it was terribly bland. It may have been a white cucumber sauce. I say that because it was white and it reminded me of cucumber. I'd come here again, but not go out of my way for it. The service was excellent with the cashier checking to make sure I knew what I was ordering and the manager coming by to check on things while I dined. (I did remember too late to ask her about the white stuff on the side). It was also very clean and comfortable and I very much enjoyed my street view from a window seat.

Better then average Greek, at a decent price. I hate when my reviews sound like everyone else's but I guess it is what it is or it is what little Greek is. The shits solid don't get me wrong, as an everyday stop by fast food Greek spot it's good. Are you going to get confused and think your diving sponges in tarpon? Probably not Regardless it's worth the visit, my only complaint was the pita bread being a little hard aside from that all the favors were good
(3)Gretchen C.
Great mini chopped Greek salad! Good tazaki too!
(3)Jihi B.
We love this place! The food and service are great. We are so excited they deliver now!
(5)Gabriela D.
Not bad but kind of your normal Greek fast food place.
(3)Jack S.
This little bit of storefront is a fast food restaurant. I had the greek salad and the potato salad in it was just ok. The gyro was the sloppiest wrap I have ever had. I like the veggies on my gyro but this was almost 50% lettuce and tomato. Plus the meat was not well spiced. It's ok if you're looking for really cheap but I will go to Athenian Gardens and day over this place.

I just tried Little Greek for the first time last night. I had bought a Deal Chicken certificate & got $5 off the price with a coupon, so I got a $35 certificate for $12.50. For that price I figured "what the heck!" Our meal came with the following: pita bread & hummus, 2 entrees, & 2 rice puddings (plus 2 drinks). The pita bread was oh-so good. So was the hummus. Therefore, the combination of the two was a hit. I had there beef and pasta dish. It was sort of like a casserole. Not bad, but I'd probably get something different next time. My husband had the gyro platter and he said the meat was very good with a nice flavor. He said that he would order it again. Our rice puddings were delicious. A little thicker than I've ever had, so I don't know if that means it was more or less authentic. Oh well - I'm not complaining. As many others have stated, this is fast Greek food. If you want the best of the best Greek food, go to Tarpon Springs. If you can't manage that - come here. I'm sure we will be back ourselves.

Food was horrible!!!! Fries we not even cooked, gyro meat was crusty and old. They were more worried about cleaning up and leaving for the night instead of taking care of the guest. Would not go there at all i was sick after that meal... the only good thing was the pleasant cashier. Did not refund our money whenwe asked them for one they just ignored us.

I have been coming to this place off and on since open, they had rough spot with bad manager recently but since they got new guy thing had improved dramatically. Cooking was great last two visit and my favorite pita burger was excellent. Greek salad as usual super fresh and gyro meat is must. Looking forward coming back.
(5)Taylor A.
I had the regular Greek salad. It's big and quite delightful.
(4)EJ P.
Little Greek is fast food. Consequently, do not go here if you are expecting GOOD Greek food. It is fast and convenient Greek food, not necessarily good food. I can see why people would think this is a 5 star restaurant if this is the best Greek food they've ever had. It's certainly not the best Greek food I have had. I have been here a couple of times and always order the Greek salad. The Greek salad dressing that they make is very sweet and tasteless. The gyro meat that they serve is that sodium-filled sliced mystery meat on a spit, except that here they actually manage to overcook it so you have rock hard slices that are hard to chew. Pappas is a million times better "fast Greek" than this place.

Took the kids for dinner and everything was excellent!

Hands down, one of the best Gyros I have ever had. Their pita is to die for. It is super clean, super quick, and a huge bang for your buck.

I just went to Little Greeks. We placed our order with a clearly annoyed cashier answering phone calls about groupon policies. We then sat down to wait for our food. After about 20 minutes, we noticed that people who had arrived after us were already getting their food. Finally they realized that they had forgotten about us. They discovered that they thought we placed a take out order (which we didn't). We told them that it was not take out, and they still handed us the bag without offering to put it on a plate. Terrible customer service. We will not be back.

As another poster commented, this is Greek fast food. With that being said, i like fast food, i like Greek food. My office stopped in here for lunch one day. The prices are approximately $10 for a meal. I ordered the Greek Salad with Chicken added (for a couple bucks more). I enjoyed the salad. It was a huge portion and i left with a to-go box. The dressing was tasty, the ingredients were reasonably fresh. Overall a very good experience, i would have rated it higher, but i left off one star to account for the fact that this is fast food (but good fast food).

Little Greek is fast food with plastic forks and fast food style. Priced high for fast food - $35 for 2 meals with drinks and a side and small dessert. Ditto previous review :The gyro meat that they serve is that sodium-filled sliced mystery meat on a spit, except that here they actually manage to overcook it so you have rock hard slices that are hard to chew." It's okay but t have no need to go again.

I wasn't sure what to expect. Looks like a fast food Greek place...which doesn't appeal to me. However, this place gets four stars. All of the food is really great! From the gyros to the salad to the soup and even down the potato salad. I was pleasantly surprised. And the price is right. The cook even came up to me at the counter when I asked to taste the potato salad, he gave me a spoon and a bite and I have to admit, it was dang good and I gave him two thumbs up. I will go back often. The only reason they don't get the full five, is the dunkin donuts parking nonsense...had issues parking with the cars in the drive thru blocking my way. Nothing is easy, and after a few minutes I was able to motor around and park.

I love their chicken souvlaki with rice and Greek salad meal! It is wonderful. I usually order to it go and 4 out of 5 times they forget to give me my salad dressing or my pita bread and tzatziki so BE SURE to double check your to-go order before you leave.

I've eaten here twice and both times the food was delicious. I'll be back sooner then later. Yummy!

This place is incredible! My wife and I eat here once a week-usually on Saturday for their killer Gyro special. The portions are huge and priced great. A good alternative to subs or burritos in the area. The lemon-rice soup is also to die for!!!

Been to other Little Greeks and have to say this is my fav location! Dining area was clean and pleasant, service was fast and friendly, and my gyro and fries were spot-on! Def will revisit :)

What an unorganized mess of employees! No one knew what they were doing, what order belonged to whom. I ordered a simple gyro to go. After 20 minutes a gentleman finally asked me what I was waiting for. It had been sitting right there. Got home to enjoy (not really) my cold gyro.

Let me start off by saying that my 2 star rating is for the St. Pete location ONLY. I have been to this particular location about 4-5 times now and received the same crappy service and disappointing food. The other two Little Greek locations I have been to (South Tampa and Largo) seem to be on a different level. Let's start with the service. The employees always seem moody, never happy and they never welcome you. Every single time I have been in here I have felt rushed to order. I remember my first time in this location I asked the girl for a minute to look at the menu and she literally gave me 15 seconds and said "are you ready yet?". I now order a gyro with side greek salad and no onions or green peppers every visit. Even still, I felt rushed. On this last trip my Husband was with me. We were the only people inside the restaurant. We ordered 2 gyros with side salads and drinks. It took 25 minutes to get our food. I would expect this from a typical sit down restaurant, but this is supposed to be "fast food". Plus, I know that the same order takes less than 10 minutes at the Largo location. We looked over the counter to see what they were doing and one employee was doing a to-go order. One was sweeping and one was walking around trying to look busy. It would have been nice if one of the three could have waited on the TWO people that were actually in the restaurant. Once our food did arrive, it was okay. It definitely was not up to Little Greek standards (I have met the LG owner and I know that she would not be happy if she could experience how people are treated here and how the food tastes). Every single visit the gyro has been overcooked. I think they are supposed to switch out the meat after so many hours. Well, it seems like this location just keeps serving it until it is closing time. It is hard, overcooked and just unpleasant. The greek salad was okay. It seemed a little less fresh than the other ones I have had, but still yummy. Honestly, if I had tried this location first I would never have visited Little Greek again. It is lucky for me that I have the Largo location so close to my work and can visit there regularly. I would recommend driving to that location or the one on Ulmerton.

Fairly decent, casual and clean atmosphere. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. BE WARNED- on the menu it looks like the main items come with sides but they do NOT. I did not know this until I saw my bill- still not too expensive for a pretty big portion of decent food! It was a little weird that my fries had a few pieces of chicken, and some rice in the bottom- made me wonder how separated and clean the process is. Overall, a pretty cool place to check out if you're in the area.
(3)Letha B.
My husband, son and I came here for dinner last night, and were very pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews. The food was absolutely delicious! We got the gyros and shared the fries. We also got the rice pudding which I must say is the best I personally have ever had. The service was just good. We were greeted in a friendly manner, our food was brought to our table in a reasonable amount of time. There really isn't a negative thing I can say about this place. In fact, we plan to make a regular stop. You definitely get your money's worth as well. We were hungry when we entered and full and quite pleased when we left.
(5)S R.
My first time in, I felt a twinge of snobby-ness since I've eaten at many of the more "authentic" Greek places in the area. But what can I say, their Gyro is damn good. I've been back for take-out Gyros ever since. Clean, fast, and consistent.
(4)Chris B.
Excellent Greek food quickly made-to-order. The fried pita with tzatziki and hummus is fantastic. It's nice enough inside to dine-in, but suited just as well for take-out. Nice dessert selection too.
