Great service; very personable waiter: K-n (censored for privacy). Decent atmosphere. Really good food. I ordered the French Onion Soup as an appetizer. The broth was well seasoned, the onions sweet and caramelized. My entree, the Pork Tenderloin (wrapped in bacon) was spot on. I ordered it well-done, on account of the fact that I don't trust pink Pork. They cooked it to my liking, but by no means did they dry it out. It was juicy and delicious. As far as sides: the mashed potatoes were creamy, the rice pilaf had peppers and onions (which enhanced it), and the salads were fine. Overall, I found very few problems with our dining experience. Early on I was concerned about the door to the bar being opened constantly, but that was alleviated soon after we entered. Great place. Period.

I actually did not want to eat here for fear it would be too expensive. We have 3 kids and didn't want to fool around with parking/driving down the strip so we tried it. Our 5 year old ate free and was allowed to eat from the buffet. I had an omelet with potatoes and asked for GF bread. They were out so the server brought me a generous bowl of fruit. Way too much food to eat. Hubby couldn't finish his eggs and potatoes either. Kiddos 1 & 2 had pancakes and the waiter brought over whipped cream for them - they were in heaven. Decor is dated and I agree it's not 5 star but it was walkable - food was decent - service was great! We will go again next time we stay at Tradewinds.

Well it was good but since I'm seasoned at eating at Fine dinning restaurants... I wish I could give it a solid 3 star but I give it 1.5 star....Here why... Let me say the server Ali was very good, she did her job well, but a server does not compensate for quality of taste of the food, especially when you are charging $25- $40 an entree. I have had the opportunity to eat at all sorts of fine dinning restaurants, so I am have an expectation for places like this. I ordered Oyster's Rockerfeller, Grouper w/ crabmeat topping w/ loaded bake potato, and Key Lime pie for desert. I also had unsweetened ice tea to drink. My friend ordered the Filet Mignon w/ Lobster Tail side was sauteed asparagus & carrots... All entree's came with a house salad which was had the house dressing already on it Peppercorn Ranch. Ok walking into the place the decor... eh- needs to be updated bad, the table setting a folded napkin in V-formation with 1 fork 1 knife. We place our orders. The server brought out our drinks & me a holder w/ sugar, splendor, equal in it for my tea.. I looked down at the table setting again , there was no spoon to stir my tea? So I had to use my knife .. Well after that our appetizers was delivered my Oyster Rockerfeller was good, however it was so loaded with spinach on the oyster shell when I dug in for the oyster I missed it on 2 of the shells.. now is this place cutting corners by serving spinach on Oyster shells w/o any oyster underneath... Well I just chopped it up as 1 ding against this fine dining restaurant , not knowing more to come. After the appetizer we had out house salads delivered to the table.. OMG wtf was sitting in front of me was a HOT MESS... the salad was drowned in the peppercorn dressing.. to almost the salad was soggy wet.. I was like OK this place could not have a real CHEF in the kitchen, it must be just a short order cook from the waffle house. I must say that I am a very good cook considering I have no culinary training & I know better than drowning a salad in salad dressing & serving it to guest. Moving along to the Entree... well notice the side I picked with the grouper.. a loaded baked potato.... It certainly does not pair well with fine dinning experience & grouper she did say they have mashed potatoes I asked are they "Garlic mashed potatoes" she said "no its just plain mash potatoes w/o gravy or anything" so of course I didn't want plain mashed potatoes so I opted of a baked potato I could mash up with butter, sour cream, scallions , and bacon bits (imitation by the way) . As for the fish, look at the picture ??? I question if that was even grouper... It could have been Tilapia or some Swai fish because it just didn't taste like grouper. It was cooked very basic , broiled or baked in butter w/ Old bay season sprinkled on it.. WTF?? I could have done a better job on this at home & this place was charging $28 for this entree... Ok my friend had the Filet Migon medium rare & lobster tail w/ the asparagus & carrots.. Look at that plate in the photo. The presentation was ok, my friend loved it well the meat.. Because the veggies were 2 twigs of asparagus and 2 small carrots THAT WAS THE SIDE DISH!!! WTH!!! 2 twigs of asparagus?? OMG I just said this place is cutting corners all the way across the board.. Here comes desert, my key lime pie well all I can say is the key lime pie was good , typical key lime pie, nothing to blow your socks off.. So that told me they didn't make the pie in house, it was frozen pie they ordered cut up put on a saucer put some lime juice gel on the plate w/ sprinkle of crust dust & 3 raspberries with cool whip topping an slice of lime. To make it look pretty... the get a 2 for effort.. All in all , I'm so glad this was a meal that was complimentary... I would have been pissed to have to paid money for food for which I could have prepared the same dish 10 times better at home in my kitchen. I suggest this hotel hire a TOP CHEF... A REAL CHEF .. an create a menu that will be desired , an have some signature plates that will set the restaurant on par to the caliber of fine dining it suppose to be.. I really think I could have went to Outback Steaks or Longhorns Steakhouse would have gotten tastier food.... This place should be ashamed to serve such below average food.

Don't bother. I imagine most people staying at Tradewinds might want to come here for convenience. Pricey. Smelled fishy, was directly connected to Beef O Brady's and servers were walking back and forth. Food was ok. Service was ok. We waited 10 mins to be greeted by the hostess. Nothing great. I'd recommend trying a local restaurant not in the resort.

This is a truly terrible restaurant staffed by terrific and attentive staff who try SO hard. The first time I went, every course was inedible. Although replaced, it remained inedible. Again, I couldn't get annoyed because the staff was very nice and seemed to be trying so much to so well. I went there for breakfast today. Who can ruin breakfast???? Bermudas can. I have tried and therefor must Yelp. Do not go to this restaurant. It is horrid.

Went for the Saturday night dinner buffet priced at $30.00 per person. The prime rib wa not edible. The crab legs offered on the buffet were fresh and tasted decently. There was a catfish dish with rice grits that was pretty descent. If tour going for the crab legs then you will love the place, if your not going for the crab legs you may be dissapointed.

I haven't been to Applebee's in years, but from what I remember, I would equate the food to something worse than that. My crab cake was mostly filler, and my rice pilaf tasted frozen. We had reservations and still had to wait about 10 minutes while they figured out how to seat our party of 10. Two of my children ended up with corners of the tables as their seats. Really? The night we went, they had a limited menu because they were offering a buffet. I wouldn't go back.

This seemed like an upscale restaurant with good food within our resort. That was a BAD assumption ! I think we would've been happier eating at fast-food place. The buffet is waaay overpriced for what you get, sirloin advertised as "Prime Rib" and "Snow crab" that are some of the skinniest claws I've ever seen. The soup was the blandest I've ever had and the "Cherry Cheesecake" was straight from an Jello instant cheesecake box ! The App we ordered "Calamari" had a distinct Curry flavor (which I've never heard of) and it tasted awful ! My wife's seafood pasta dish was also flavorless and had a broken cream sauce. We were never asked by the waiter how our meal was nor had our drinks refilled ! More about the staff, the carver seemed PO'ed standing there and the general atmosphere was just dreary at best. Felt like a complete waste of money, I didn't speak with anyone in charge because judging by what I could see, it probably would have Ben a waste of time, however I will be writing a formal complaint to the Resorts upper mgmt. . If your looking for dissapointment , this is the place !
