We went to St Augustine this past December, and we are big breakfast people. Looked up places to have breakfast, because our hotel didn't included it, and we rather not stay at the hotel for breakfast. Found this on a local page, and had good reviews, so, we headed over there. From the outside, it looks like a VFW, but don't let the looks deceive you. Best breakfast food we had, in a really long time. The service was great, super family friendly. We were waited on by the owner, and he was just delightful! We ordered eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, and potatoes, for us grown ups, and pancakes for my son. The pancakes were the best pancakes I ever had, and I think my son agreed with me, because he ate his whole plate. They also made it so we didn't have to order the whole order, but customize it to a child menu, which was really nice of them. We liked it so much, that we came back the next day. My husband had the mushroom omelette, and I had the Bacon omelette. My son had pancakes again (yes, they were that good!). The omelettes were to die for!! Oh, and to top it off, they also serve beer, which, who doesn't like to have a beer with breakfast while on vacation!!! we love St Augustine, and will be coming back to this place every time we go there again!! Definitely a must!

Great place for breakfast in south St. Augustine. Just across the street from the Publix shopping center near St. Augustine Shores sits the unassuming little building that is Snowy Mountain Cafe. We've often passed it on the way into town and thought we should try it out. Glad we did. Breakfast is a specialty for them. They serve up homemade biscuits, great slabs of honey cured ham steaks, grits, home fried potatoes, eggs cooked just like you ask. Great coffee starts everything off. Quick service, friendly owners, and close to anybody off US1 South. It isn't a busy place but don't let that keep you away. If word of their great breakfasts and low prices gets out, it won't stay a quiet little secret breakfast nook. Oops, maybe I should delete this post. No, they work hard there and deserve some good feedback.

Went to eat breakfast. Was recommended by a friend. He forewarned me about the wait staff. Had blueberry pancakes, very very good. The waitress was worst than I imagined. Ittook about 10 minutes to get our drink order. It was wrong. Then wide ordered tomato juice, that took another 15 minutes. From the time this lady took the order until I got my pancakes was about 50 minutes. I would have been a little more understanding if the place was full. Only 2 tables and 1 was ours. The owner very nice and friendly and support s the military. Food good service and speed slow.

Horrible. Very hard to mess up breakfast but they did. Their biscuits looked like English muffins. 11$ for a terrible omelet. Now I know why the parking lot is always empty.

I must admit, when I saw the outside of the place I was reluctant to come inside but my intuition told me to try it. I entered and was greeted by a friendly staff and told to sit wherever made me feel good. I was brought a menu then the lovely gentleman (assuming it was the owner) asked if I'd ever been here before. Once I told him it was my first time he started telling me about the food. It was all homemade with German influences. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The blueberry pancake was not only huge but sooooooooo good!! The sausage was also a hit. I had a great experience here and when I'm back in the area I will definitely be back! You can't judge a book by its cover.

Great breakfast. Large portions. It was a little expensive, and it took a while for the food to come out, but it was worth the wait. All meals are cooked to order and there is even a sign that says the food is not cheap or fast just good. That is exactly true. The biscuits and gravy were wonderful and the sausage patty was amazing. Home made sausage reminded me of back home on the farm. Great good will go back and recommend to everyone.
