We went on a Monday night & the place was not busy. However we waited for 45 min. For our food to be delivered and when it did, our steaks were cold, my kids French Fries were cold - It was terrible. Plus our waiter filled our glasses full of ice & little drink, so it was gone after 2 sips. And then he never refilled them. Dinner took over 90 minutes... Will not go back again!

Service was good... extremely scripted though..server didn't have much of a personality and was almost over bearing. steak was pretty tasteless. Mashed potatoes were very good. The steak sandwich was good but extremely messy and fell apart. The best part of the meal was the bread!

What makes this Outback so good and better than the rest is the owner. He works non stop, checks on customers and the vibe you catch from the staff is how much they like working for him. Never had a bad steak from here. Alice Springs Chicken is great if you aren't in mood for steak. Surprisingly my favorite wings too!

Ate at Outback tonight for the first time in years. It will be years before we go back. Service was fine but the steak was tough as usual. Had the steak and unlimited shrimp and the shrimp were overcooked and very small. My wife had the coconut shrimp. They were huge but very sweet as was the sauce. I have never gotten a tender sirloin here and I just do not understand. Staff was great.

Lunch at outback was very good today. Food was delivered quickly and piping hot. Our server, Jamie G was outstanding. Most of the time our servers are ok but not to friendly or interactive. Jamie was funny, smiled all the time, and really seemed to enjoy her job. She had three or four tables and was like that to everyone. We really like a friendly server!!!! Food was very good and arrived quickly. Drink refills readily available and Jamie even boxed my left overs for me. Thank you Jamie---- hope we get you next time!!!!!

How can one sit at the bar for over 10 minutes and not even be acknowledged? A manager and a bartender working. Dirty bus pans should never be put on the counter where wait staff get their drinks either. That was just disgusting! I walked out.

Why four stars? The food was just average, and the service was a little slow for a Monday night. The fare here is to be expected, most everyone knows the brand. We were seated quickly, and drink service we prompt. We ordered a blooming onion and entrees shortly thereafter. The entrees were served before the onion, which the serve apologized for. The food was good as expected.

We were at Longhorn last night in Jacksonville so tonight we decided on Outback. What a horrible mistake!!! Our waiter (Darragh--male. Don't know even how to pronounce it because he never introduced himself. I had to look on the recipt) was horrible! Let me explain why. I had the steak and snowcrab and my husband had the prime rib. I never got a salad and my husbands didn't have any dressing on it. When we tried to get this fixed our waiter was nowhere to be found so we had to get up from our booth and ask the hostess to find our server. She couldn't even find him so another sever brought his dressing but I was still missing my salad. By then I gave up. When our entrees came both of our meals were cold and my fries were soggy. Not only that my crab was slimy, I only got small legs, and a whole bunch of the part of the leg that is pulled away from the body without the leg attached. We were not checked on again until he brought us our bill. There was no reason for this. We had come in to eat at 4:15pm. There was barely anyone there because it had just opened up. I hope reading this will save someone else from what we went through. It makes me appreciate ours at home that much more!!

Dined at the Outback while on vacation on March 26, 2015. Our female server was terribly rude and inattentive. When asked where something was that we requested she essentially stated if we weren't satisfied with her we should ask for another server. Requested manager, who apologized and assigned another server. Turns out she wasn't much better. Never asked how the meal was, if anything else was needed, nor did she clear the table after we finished eating. Coincidently, that evening my wife suffered food poisoning. Heard similar story from employee at our hotel. Don't waste your money!

Eww! No. Won't be back. I ordered the Great Barrier Trio to start. The Ahi Tuna with a drizzle of ginger-soy dressing was ok but has WAY too much dressing. The crispy Coconut Shrimp was fine, oily but fine. The Crab & Avocado Stack served with tortilla chips was awful. Very strong fishy flavor. Could barely choke it down. Then I had the sesame salad with tuna. Tuna was good. The sesame vinaigrette was beyond awful. Worst thing I have ever tasted in my life! Tasted like burnt vegetable oil. Thank goodness I asked for it on the side. I traded for a balsamic vinaigrette. It was good but the salad itself was plain iceberg with 2 green pepper slices and a little red cabbage. It tasted old. You would have to add so much vinaigrette to cover the bad taste it defeats the purpose of getting something healthy.

Food was ok, very slow. Definitely not what outback use to be. Went here a few weeks ok thought I would give it another shot but same results.

Very good. Hubby and I split the Wild West shrimp and the largest ribeye. Were both very good except the potato was not cooked enough. Ribeye was very good as well as salad and shrimp. Service was good.

oh boy, where to begin? this entire visit was a disaster right from the moment we walked in the door. we had 5 people, 2 adults, 2 teens and a 2 year old requiring a highchair. so of course we were sat at a table made for four. we had to explain how this wouldn't work and we were moved to a full sized booth. our order was taken and drinks did arrive promptly. one of our families favorites is the "outback bread", however, the "bread?" put before us was so dry it was as hard as a rock and I could barely cut into it. kids did get a kick out of the crumb explosion when I was able to pierce the crust. another server was able to get us some edible bread as our server was off on walkabout somewhere. our food arrived, or most of it anyway as our 2 year Olds meal was completely forgotten. If any of you reading this are also parents you know the horror that ensued as our baby was quite hungry, and like at most restaurants, the straps on the crusty food covered highchair were broken. commence 2 year old trying to climb across table to get to the food, as she doesn't understand "oops, I forgot it, we'll make it real fast". Whole family pitched in with little morsels of food for her so we could eat. I ordered the Victorias filet, medium well. I received a Victorias filet bordering on steak tartar. I mean really raw and cold in the center. So now I am free to entertain the 2 year old as my food is sent back to the kitchen. Then, miracle of miracles, our babies mac a roo and cheese arrives. Yay! Or maybe not, the yellow molten lava in a bowl that our server placed right in front of the 2 year old might possibly cool down enough in about an hour or so. And why do I have to have pro hockey goalie reflexes to stop most servers out there from placing bowls or plates in front of a child that are so hot I burn my hand when I grab them? This was the end for me, I took the baby out to wait in the car,in the hopes that the rest of my family could enjoy their lunch. I don't think we will be returning here.

We had not been to an Outback for years. The advertised steak and unlimited shrimp caught the bride's eye, so we decided to try it. Her filet mignon was thin and just OK. She had garlic and herb shrimp - she rates them as good. I had a 5 oz steak meat something which was just edible. The crispy shrimp were very well done and crispy, but that's pretty much what I expected. Cocktail sauce was once ketchup-y, once horse radish-y, and once good. Sweet tea was sweet tea. Service was excellent and pleasant. I guess our expectations were a little too high or we should have known better - take your pick.

Food is always fresh. Atmosphere is nice. Service is terrific. Manager stops by to see how you are doing and if you are happy with the restaurant.

Everyone I've talked to here in town seems to be a fan of either Outback Steakhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse, and not really a fan of both. I'm a HUGE Longhorn fan, and hadn't eaten at an Outback in quite a while, so I decided to give it a shot, and overall had a pretty good experience. I'm always mildly annoyed at the Australian theme of their commercials and also the walls of the place, with Aussie stuff everywhere, even serving up Foster's beer, when any Australian will tell you that Foster's is a joke and NOBODY in Australia drinks it. Regardless, I guess if your name is Outback, that's the way you'd have to go. I went on a Saturday night, and expected quite a line, however that wasn't really the case. I ended up having to wait only about 10 minutes for a table, and while I waited, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious Samuel Adams draft. They also had a bunch of drink specials going on, I believe if you get in before 6 or 7, basically all margaritas and mixed drinks are 2 for 1, and I believe also all domestic drafts, but not Sam Adams. :( Oh well, the service at the bar was great, my beer was awesome, and I was seated and ready to eat. The service by our waitress was phenomenal. Very attentive, but not overly so, got everything just right, was very polite, and overall took great care of us. Having filled up with beer, I decided to skip the appetizers and just order the main course. The bread was great, my ceasar salad was awesome, and the steak was f'n delicious. I got their special filet, with a bleu cheese crust. The filet was tender and moist, cooked just the way I wanted it, and the bleu cheese was perfect, not overpowering, just adding enough flavor and kick. Overall, I was very pleased with Outback. I still consider Longhorn's to be my favorite steakhouse in St. Augustine. Their steaks are juicier, taste better, and there's a much better selection in terms of appetizers and main course meals, but I did notice there was virtually NO wait at Outback on a Saturday night, while you will DEFINITELY be waiting a while at Longhorn's. Definitely glad I stopped in, and would have no qualms about eating here again. Great place.

Okay so Outback has failed to impress and this one was not the exception. They mixed up the steaks and gave my 3 year old a rare steak and my husband a very well done one. So they switched for the most part. My food was less than satisfying and apparently they do not mess up chicken tenders as my other two kiddos ate theirs with no problems. The manager, Steve, was great and comped us our appetizer and my 3 year old's meal, super nice guy and the service was great (reason for the 3 stars rather than one). Maybe it was an off night or the cook was not paying attention I am not sure but it is not my #1 choice of places to go to while in St. Augustine.

Cant believe im reviewing an Outbacks but they totally deserve it. First of all , it was Tuesday and they were packed. Second of all , it was super clean inside. Our server was a doll, she was awesome, kept checking up on us .The drinks that she brought back from the bar were REAL drinks , now i see where the REAL happy hour ,lol. I had Tuna Tartar appetizer and it was huge, i was full halfway through. Basically for a franchise restaurant , they totally deserve 5 stars for the food and the service , keep it up !

Y'all may remember my last review of an Outback Steakhouse where I say that its not a place Id go to unless I either had a gift card, or it was all I could find in a strange town. Well yes to both, so there we went. I have given this restaurant 5 stars based on the server. Hands down she was the best server I have ever had, ever, in ANY restaurant, and this is why. I I ordered the filet sandwich, with no cheese. When my salad came, the server had brought me the cheese on the side, "just in case I did not want it because of my sandwich order." That right there was more forethought than I have ever seen. In addition to that water.bread, etc always full, and she was right there with the check. Her name was Jai, Jade, something like that, I actually thought I saved the reciept with her ame on it, but sadly did not. In addition to her excellent service, the food was much better prepared than the last Outback experience in Orlando, as well as fresh. I also really enjoyed my sandwich, and think I will get it again.
