came down to visit from Boston and had the worst chicken ceasear salad I have ever had. no romaine, no croutons, all spinach and ice berg lettuce. terrible I should of went to McDonalds.

This place smells like something is constantly burning. I've been here twice and they've messed up my order both times. Subs are just okay. I would much rather go to subway.

Very good subs & price @ old city subs I believe it's a family own business. Great customer service! I came during lunch time today & it was busy but the wait was no more than 4 minutes before a fresh sub was brought to our table. There are so much to choose from on the menu; cold or hot subs, wraps & desserts. I tried the Reuben sandwich but I will definitely come back to try the other ones! Their medium size sandwich felt like a large. I had left overs :) that was still good to eat hours later. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat a delicious sub! They also have delivery!

Disgusting. Never ever ever ever again. Tried it twice and was disappointed both times. Meat has the texture of rubber. Bread is always extra soft like it wasnt baked properly. I take two bites and want to toss it. If i tossed it in the trash, the raccoons probably wouldnt eat it either.

Took my family to eat and believe that is the worst sub I have ever had. You are better off eating at subway.

This is the best sub spot in town. We eat there every time we come to St Augustine to visit our family. The best sub's and a great small business.

On a recent lunch excursion, I was in the mood to try something new... Tired of Subway and Quiznos, I was looking for a GOOD sub, and based on a few recommendations from friends, (and being surprised that this place had not been reviewed yet on Yelp) I stopped into Old City. Located on US1, near the Old Moultrie intersection, I walked into a wide open, retro looking dining area. For some reason, I was expecting a small shop, with a few tables sitting next to a large deli counter, but this place has tons of tables, and a large counter with lots of space to order. The menu is pretty impressive, a LOT of both hot and cold subs, a bunch of good looking salads and pitas, soups, and even homemade desserts! I had a really tough time deciding which sandwich I wanted to go with, but I ended up choosing the Chicken Cordon Bleu for lunch, and an Italian to go (so I could have it for dinner at work). After placing my order, I grabbed my drinks and headed to my seat. The food was delivered to my table about 3 minutes later, and it was AWESOME. The chicken was cooked just right, juicy and tender, and the ham and cheese really kicked it up. Throw in the mayo and spices, freshly cooked bread, and you've got yourself one humdinger of a good sandwich. I couldn't wait to devour the Italian for dinner that night, which was also spectacular. The meats were fresh, sliced right, and the toppings of fresh veggies, mayo, and italian dressing really made the sandwich pop. After finishing my lunch, the worker came from behind the counter to talk to me about how everything was, then picked up all the trash to take it to the trash can, even after I told him I would do it myself. Can't beat service like that in a place like this! A lot of other folks in the area must know, too, as I noticed a lot of people stopping in, and also noticed a LOT of orders being taken out and delivered (Free delivery in a 2 mile radius). They also offer up party subs and drinks for your next big get together! Overall, I loved this place. The food was spectacular, the service was amazing, and there's still about 20 different subs I want to try. I would give it five stars, except it can be a bit pricey. You're looking at about $7.00 for a large sub here, and it certainly isn't a footlong, you can definitely get more food for your money at Subway or Quiznos, however you will NOT get a better tasting hoagie or better service, that's for sure. Will definitely be back, and I recommend this place to anyone looking to grab a delicious, quick lunch or dinner. The bomb!

I got a sub for take out. I got the turkey and ham I ordered...but that was it! No lettuce, no tomato, no onion, no mayo or dressing! I didn't know you had to ask for the basics. It was too late since I had already gotten home. My hubby's sub was ok, nothing special though.

Our family went to Old City Subs today for lunch & were really happy with the experience. The sandwich bread was very fresh, prices were reasonable, staff was nice, there's a kids menu for ages 10 and under, and the restaurant and the restrooms were VERY clean. Will go again! PS: the exterior of the bldg is now bright orange, so it's easy to see.
