Want tasty, fresh food at a reasonable price with friendly service - this is your place! Fish Tales is a modest restaurant, literally just a few tables inside a convenience store - but don't let that fool you. I enjoyed what were easily the best pancakes I've ever had in St. Augustine and my vegetarian husband was thrilled at the chance to order an vegetable, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich with his choice of bread. He said he can never order a breakfast sandwich anyplace ever again because there is no chance it will be as delicious as the one he devoured here. Give them a try! Your belly will be happy you did!

This is the best place for breakfast in st augustine. Love the chocolate chip pancakes, and they will let you just have one. In my opinion, the corned beef hash is the best ever! The owners and staff are welcoming and attentive. Also, very affordable, which is refreshing. Love living in a tourist town, but hate paying resort prices. They even have a coupon in a local magazine, but with prices so affordable, I do not feel right using it. Barb Bendick

More times than not, breakfast joints disappoint us. We're never given decent portions, and the prices are ridiculous for what you do get. My fiancé has been coming to Vilano for 30 years. This morning we decided to give this place a try that we've passed so many times. This is our new favorite breakfast spot. It's quaint.. right there on the Camachee Inn strip, packed with a wine wall and sundries. I ordered the HOMEMADE corned beef hash with 2 eggs and sourdough toast. My fiancé had an omelette with sausage, ham, bacon, and cheese. Our plates came out piping hot and loaded with glorious food. The corned beef hash was to die for, and my eggs were cooked perfectly. Fiancé said the omelette was the best he's had at an eatery. The man working the order and our table (owner?) was a man of few words, but the service was good. Both of our meals were around $7.00, there's no beating that price! We WILL be coming back here again and again when we're looking to eat out for breakfast.

Awesome food and awesome management! Love this little hidden gem! The owners stayed open later to accommodate a large party and made some off menu dishes for those of us that were on a strict diet. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat after an afternoon at the beach!

Excellent breakfast at a great price, we shared the captains breakfast which consists of two eggs, home fries, bacon or sausage and biscuit or toast for $9.95 good price for a good meal!!!! Highly recommend

Slow service, did not find the Surf's Up breakfast burrito very tasty, and one hour after paying and sitting down, he came up and said he forgot to charge us for the grits so he took another $2.12.

First of all this place is hidden and only Yelp was able to get this place in view. It's like a store and diner in one. The owner or at least I think he is was very welcoming from the time we set foot in the door. He definitely help live up to the ratings on yelp. Very friendly service. Very clean. Friendly to everyone who came in. Breakfast was made to order. The place is very small with about 7 or 8 tables but not cluttered or stuffy which is a plus in my book. You can by chips and drinks and other food items as you would out of a small store. Even lotto tickets. I can't wait to try them for lunch but the breakfast was awesome. The pancakes are true to the menu in saying big and fluffy. Even got a free drink for checking in. The location is right in front of yacht yard and it was very peaceful inside and never got too noisy. Definitely will be going back and recommending it to others.

Awesome little local place with great breakfast or lunch. The breakfast burrito is so good, I always have a hard time getting something else. It comes with eggs, chorizo, grilled peppers I think and some sriracha and some other stuff. I like to grab a bottle of champagne while I'm there to make mimosas while we wait.

Loved this place and glad to have found it. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I've ever had. Great collection of IPAs available as well.

Amazing breakfast..I forgot to take a picture when they served it because it looked so good to just dive in..nice place near beach before the long bridge and parking is easy..not like downtown..friendly people w/ good service.. I got the anchors away, and it wasn't greasy at all..biscuits were great! my friends got breakfast burrito..they couldn't stop saying how good it was

This place seemed like a hole in the wall upon arrival but its really a hidden gem of down home flavor and customer service. I had anchor's aweigh... It was delicious. Real food, the bacon was crispy and hearty, smack yo momma creamy grits and perfect over medium eggs(like I desired). I would definitely go back with a bigger crowd!!!

Quaint little place you'd never know existed unless you were on yelp. Highly recommend. Biscuits are the absolute best. Husband had the burrito and cleaned his plate. Needless to say the 3 days we were in St Augustine Fish Tales was our breakfast spot. Loved it!

We just left and had the most amazing breakfast. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Definitely a place to check out. We were hesitant when we walked in but it was best breakfast we have eaten on our getaway.

During our week stay on St Augustine beach, we followed the reviews here to this little breakfast place. We walked into what looks like a small store but WOW the food was amazing! If you like spicy food, I recommend the breakfast burrito! I had to take half back to our RV but it was delicious and SPICY! My husband had the pancakes and he is so critical of them... but he thought they were some of the best hes had. They were light and fluffy and perfectly buttered. You definitely have to try this place!

Great location. That is why you stop and eat here. And the food is good enough to stop again. The pancakes were fluffy. Unfortunately, they were allowing people to smoke in the out door seating section. I took away a star for that.

Our party of 3 stopped in for the breakfast. We ordered chocolate chip Pancakes with bacon and it was delicious using good chocolate and the pancakes were just a little crispy on the edges just how we like them. The biscuits and gravy had an odd flavor of coriander or sage and had onions which I hate. The full breakfast was well done as well with eggs, toast and bacon. This place is nothing special but a good value and very friendly staff.

I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. We stopped for lunch. The staff was extremely pleasant. However the food was just ok and seemed overpriced. We ordered a fruit plate with toast for my daughter. The pear in it was so brown it was almost unrecognizable. The watermelon was starting to go bad too. The toast that came with the fruit plate didn't come out until both my husband and I had eaten our meals and I had a toasted sandwich - so how long does toast take to make? (We inquired twice about it and we're assured it was on the way) The sandwiches we had were good, but I've definitely had a lot better at 8 dollars a piece. Plus the offered side was only a bag of Lays potato chips. My husband also had a cup of soup which was most likely from a can...nothing special. Maybe the breakfast is better, but we won't be going back to find out.

I'm not sure why the great reviews. I think that vacation euphoria is to blame. The guy at the counter was friendly. And we ordered breakfast which was very expensive. I think they are way overpriced for the food you get. I could have gotten similar breakfast meals at McDonalds for more than half the price. I'm not saying this food is McDonalds, I'm just saying it also doesn't justify the higher prices either. But it was 10:45 and McDonalds doesn't serve breakfast. So there ya go. But next time I'll go to dunkin donughts. Sorry. I hate to bag on locally owned joints. But I think this guy will do fine because of location alone.

The best breakfast we had on our 2 week driving trip across Florida, Georgia, S Carolina & N Carolina. You probably wouldn't notice or stop driving by because it's a small convenience store at a marina. The entrance is off the hiway at the opposite end of the center. I had a delicious omelet, biscuits buttered and lightly toasted on the flattop grill. My wife had fluffy scrambled eggs, pancakes, and perfectly cooked applewood bacon. The prices are very reasonable. If we were staying longer we would definitely go back for lunch Their lunch menu had a great selection of burgers, seafood sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, and specialty sandwiches. The owners were very personable. They also have a huge selection of craft beers. If I lived in St Augustine, I would eat there once a week.

Cool little store and restaurant. Small but quaint. The food is good and reasonably priced. You can watch them cook your food while you wait.

Quant little place but overpriced. $30 for breakfast with myself, wife and 7 year old. Coffee was self serve with small Styrofoam cups, small coffee creamers, and little packets of sugar. Save yourself some money and get better service, find a Dennys.

Only reason for 4 stars is simplicity of the food. Which is not a bad thing! There are 5 or 6 things for breakfast menu. I had a chorizo breakfast burrito with added sour cream. They have an awesome selection do spicy sauces, it was super hard to choose the right one for the job. The owner noticed our dilemma and offered a home made Augustine only pepper (please help I forgot the name) mixed with Florida mango. It was delicious: the sweetness of mango masked the spicy ness of the pepper, but only for the second. This place is amazing, because of the atmosphere it creates when you grab you stool. It's small, it's ran by owners that make the whole place happening. I also enjoyed the 100 bottle beer selection. If you in St. Augustine, visit this place for breakfast, skip your hotel frozen bagel and shmear.

Super cute small breakfast place overlooking the marina. We stopped here by boat on our way from St Augustine to Jacksonville. Food is great, service is friendly and if you sit out back, you get a nice view of the yachts :) They bake their biscuits and then grill them with butter- so brilliant!!! The breakfast potatoes are delicious as well. Wish there were more breakfast places like this!!

Really great breakfast!! The potatoes and whole grain toast were awesome. They have a nice little area for outdoor seating where you can bring dogs.... The power outlets are locked for charging your laptop but they do have wifi available for guests. Definitely recommend...

We stopped here on a Sunday morning for breakfast on the way out of town and were pleasantly surprised by the high quality, fresh food and friendly service. Especially good grits and applewood bacon. Nice view of the marina from the picnic tables around back.

My husband and I went to St. Augustine for my birthday and stayed at the Inn at the marina next door. This cafe is small and not many items on their menu but what they do have, was all amazing. We stayed for three days and we never missed our breakfast and even came back for the dinner. The sandwiches were large and very tasty. For breakfast, my husband always got the pancakes and I ordered the french toast. I would say by far some of the best pancakes I have ever had!! They had that true "homemade" taste. The couple that runs this cafe were the absolute friendliest people I have met. They definitely made the highlight of the trip with their food and hospitality! Cannot wait to go again!!

If you are in the mood for a Rueben sandwich look no further than this lovely little deli and restaurant. Today was cold and windy - I really wanted a rueben sandwich but have tried numerous places in St Augustine in the past with poor results. The sad thing is this restaurant is right around the corner from our condo and I had never tried their sandwiches. It was the perfect rueben - wonderful corned beef, not too heavy on the sauerkraut and grilled perfectly!!

This place is a cute little family-run deli, market and restaurant. It's right off the bridge and hard to miss. The prices are fantastic and the food is great. There's a nice little covered porch on the back overlooking the marina. Such a great place to get a reasonably priced, homeade meal. Bob, the owner is very friendly and was a pleasure to talk with. If we ever get back to St. Augustine, we will be sure to stop in again.

This is a very cute spot to stop and get a sandwich and drink. The beer and wind variety was an added bonus. I have a 5 year old so the obj on the menu was perfect. This place has a variety for all ages. Will return.
