Great place, good food. First time there tonite and they sat us by a window that seemed to have a draft so we moved to the bar where we met an awesome bartender named Katy. Our night only got better from there. We are new to the area and she filled us in on the great places around St Augustine. We will make this place a once a week must for us for on Sunday nights.

Just another typical good meal at Carrabba's, they never let down. One thing to point out, they make coffee/cappuccino from a Keurig type machine.. blah.

It was ok, food didn't come out at the same time for our party which was uncomfortable. Nothing special, not great but not terrible.

There was a terrible odor in the restaurant, something like sewer back up. My family and myself had to leave and go to another restaurant. I will not be going to that location again.

Update: my sister returned to this restaurant on Jan 26 2015 for lunch. She ordered the Chicken Bryan sandwich and some soup plus a drink. When the food arrived she tasted the sandwich and noted it had little cheese on it and so wanted to add some tomato for taste as it was very bland. The dish come with a side salad with tomatoes. When she opened the sandwich she was horrified to see that the chicken was pink and translucent and was in fact RAW! She called the Manager who told her that as she had only eaten s small amount , he would not charge her for the raw chicken!!!!!!! Although apologetic, she still had to pay for the soup and a drink as well as the lunch that her friend had ordered and not eaten due to the raw chicken!!!!!

Still the best meal that sometimes is not listed is the "3 chicken dinner" three breasts are prepared 3 ways and this is a never disappointing meal. I've tried several other menu options but always come back to the ever so tasty 3 chicken dish. I don't do alcohol drinks but my guests rave on all especially the chocolate martini. Well just try it and see for yourself!

shame shame----place going down hill portions small everything shrunk!! got charged to put more sauce on dry spaghetti . I was shocked we had a party of 10 people ....can't imagine a manager telling a server to add on for the extra sauce. Is Carrabbas going broke or maybe a poor management system used to look forward to dinner we were regular customers...no more

Had dinner tonight. Overall things just didn't get close to five stars. The wife's meal had to go back to get heated came out a little cool. Not sure if the waiter didn't bring it out soon enough or the kitchen didn't leave the dish under the melter. I had the chicken parm was just average nothing bad but not great either the bread didn't come out with the salads. So I'd say it about a three star review

Had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Was warmly greeted and seated, within a minute our drinks were ordered. I ordered the Sirloin Marsala, it was like a hot date that I will always remember. Wow it was delicious. My friend ordered some type of shrimp pasta and they enjoyed theirs equally. From the bread to the salad everything was good.

When you're traveling it's nice to know you can always count on large chain restaurants to deliver a solid meal. This Carrabbas was exactly what we were looking for on the final night of our vacation. A familiar meal at a restaurant that was always good. Our server was friendly and prompt. The food was great. I had the pasta weezy and my husband the salmon, and our toddlers steak was cooked just right.

Went tonight with the family and got the lasagna and pollo scillia(sp?( The dinner was great, although we ordered dessert (canoli) and it took about 20 minutes to get them. The server tried to explain herself and the manager brought them to us with a free dessert next time we come. Regardless I tried to let him know how long we waited but I think he thought the free dessert would cover us. It is really about the confusion in service, and not the free food. We have a certain level of expectation when we go out to a restaurant and tonight we were disappointed. We will give them another shot but may go north to Jacksonville the next time as we have had better luck up there.

Disappointed! Ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. Not more than a couple table spoon of meat sauce. Requested it be wet and I received a small plastic container the same container used for grated cheese for carry out. Something has changed. It is not the same

I love Carabas and frequent them wherever I travel however the one in St. Augustine left me very disappointed. Though the food was fabulous as usual, the service was horrible. Our waiter was rude and told us you just need to be patient and wait. Had I not waited 40 minutes for a table and ordered my food, I would have left. If you cannot provide customer service with a smile you have no business in the restaurant business.

When in st augustine, fl, over the years, my experience at carrabba's italian grill was memorable as to not go back again, the lasagna [never looked like the picture] after three visits well? it sucks, lasagnas supposed to get better i thought? yeah, but mostly, depending on the time and day, the sauces need work or monitoring, not always fresh, not really sure, but the marinara tasted one day as if something gamey added, fell or jumped into it that didn't belong there at all, no i'm not picky, i've been taught great gourmet recipes over forty-five adult years, from families preparing many homemade dishes of all ethnicities i've worked in many {4} italian restaurants to know a good marinara, armandos restaurant, johns pizza, mario the baker and the 1st papa's pizza on the east coast, all owners tasted {with two fingers} daily and would throw away sauces not meeting their {moms} traditional standards for taste and freshness, proof in saying three are still in business after these forty+ years, sadly armandos in stamford ct. burned down, i am just looking for italian food with daily consistency, this is not found at the carrabba's italian grill, best of luck, em

I have been to a few Carrabba's before and this is definitely the best one. I came in a group of 15 on a Friday night and was seated extremely fast. After waiting for a quick 20 minutes on a busy night, I was impressed. The waiters were great and began by taking our drink orders while bringing some fresh bread. The bread was divine with some olive oil and our food came shortly after. It was standard Carrabba's food (which I happen to really like) and nothing was made wrong. I loved everything here, and had dessert for the first time at a Carrabbas's. The chocolate cake was extremely decadent and wonderfully sinful. The one problem I had with this place was the cold temperature. Besides this, everything was perfect.

Carrabba's is an excellent restaurant. I have always had a good meal there. Excellent happy hour wine special during the week. Seafood is excellent. I have eaten here in a group and individually. Always good. TAKEOUT: I was disappointed with the shrimp pasta take out one night. Shrimp was undercooked and pasta sticky. However, the curbside service was great!

If you're at Carrabba's, come with an empty stomach and get ready for a good time! This place is like an Olive Garden but has more ..edge and je ne sais quoi. The ambiance is great - dim lights, intimate booths, nice layout. We walked in and were immediately seated. Within seconds of our butts hitting the booths, our server came to take our drink order and served us fresh warm bread with oil and herb dip. Happy hour was happening so we took full advantage of that and got ourselves Sangria. They had several variations of Sangria, but we opted for the blackberry Sangria. After looking over the menu, we started with the Spinach Fonduta which is an oven-baked blend of spinach with fontina and Gruyère cheeses, served with grilled bruschette bread for dipping. This was a good appetizer to start off with, though the bread was a little bit too hard for my liking so I let the bread kind of soften in the dip a little before devouring it. Next, I ordered the Sirloin Marsala, cooked medium, with Minestrone soup and alfredo pasta. The sirloin was cooked nicely, though a little medium rare in the center, luckily I liked it like that. I pretty much inhaled the soup but was not able to finish my pasta, as my stomach was already stuffed. The food was great, nothing amazing. This review would have been a four star, but an added star was for the excellent service, big portions of food, good value in food, and wonderful Sangria during Happy Hour. Thank you, Carrabba's for a wonderful night. Wish we had you in California!!!!

Wow. I have a personal belief that you can only get good Italian food through good home cooking, or through local "Mom and Pop" Italian restaurants with authentic Italians doing the cooking. This restaurant shatters that belief, as I cannot believe this is a national chain of Italian restaurants. The atmosphere is Olive Garden like, but a more "local" Italian feel to it. You can sit outside (They only have a few tables available), or inside at tables or booths. They also have a few seats in front of the grill / woodfire pit area in a bar-type setting. It is usually very busy for lunches, as well as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. They have excellent happy hour specialties which I believe are 4-7 pm, even on the weekends! You can get two-for-one deals on draft beer and house wines... The Sam Adams draft is delicious, as it always is. You start off with fresh baked loaves of bread, which is sliced up, and served with a plate of olive oil and spices. The food itself is standard Italian classics, i.e. lasagna, chicken parm, spaghetti w/meatballs, and they also offer woodfired pizzas and specialty items such as braised beef. The pizza is outstanding, the woodfire puts a great crisp into everything, the toppings are fresh and delicious. Their Italian food is outstanding, absolutely amazing. I usually partake in the chicken parmigiana or the big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. One bite into this food and you will instantly know the difference between this place and Olive Garden and other such national chains. The sauces, the meatballs, everything is hand-made, not prepackaged and microwaved! I've eaten at this restaurant a few times and have never had bad service, and never had bad food. It's a very enjoyable atmosphere, the food is delicious, and a great way to enjoy a meal with your family and friends. Definitely recommended for any meal!!!

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
