So it's almost my last day here in the Sunshine state and St. Augustine has really been a great way to round out the trip. The town is the most picturesque of any place on my whole trip, but on the flip side, I encounter more congestion in the three hours here than I hit anywhere else! Anyways, after zipping around after parking looking for a men's room, a nice cop directed me to this spot, its inside a small mall like building, at the end. I end up ordering three appetizers and a salad and a beer. Apparently for certain hours, the appetizers are half off and the beer's are a good deal too. The food was pretty good, a bit salty, but decent overall. Did'nt eat at too many real restaurants on this trip, but needed to save a little after watching gas prices jump ten percent as soon as I landed in this state!

I had the coconut shrimp and it was delicious, served with homemade fries. I generous portion for a great price.

Perfect snack. As one who works a 10 hour day. Sometimes you just need a snack. Well the girls and guys have got it together a Barefoot Bills. The nachos at happy hour make a great snack and it half off. Bravo to all the gang at Barefoot Bills. I am so glad Toby and Tara are still there. Its an added bounos to see them.

Went here with the girlfriend for lunch on the weekend and really enjoyed the food. The place is small and people walk through the restaurant frequently, but it didn't bother us. The service was really good; our waitress gave us tips on what tourist sites we should see while still in town. The food: I would definitely recommend the aloha chicken sandwich. We also had the fish tacos and liked them as well. Overall great lunch spot.

Ok so this place is pretty cool, awesome atmosphere very relaxed and chill whether you want to grab a meal or just a beer to get out of the hot sun for a while. The prices are great and the food is awesome. My family and I ate here for lunch yesterday and there were no complaints. My wife had the pirate burger which came with ham bacon and two cheese's I had a bite and it was really good packed with flavor. I myself had the hurricane burger which contained bacon, ham, grilled bell peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese and a fried egg. The burger itself was huge so much going on in that one burger but you are able to taste all of the components of the burger from the fried egg to the grilled onions, very flavorful. Both had it with the hand cut fries with cheese sauce, amazing!! My uncle had the chicken nachos as his meal and they were pretty good again a lot going on with the different ingredients but all together it was good. Really recommend stopping here for a beer and an awesome burger. Hope this review helped. Eat well.

This bar and cafe is located at the end of the 24 Unique Shops on St. George Street. It has a full bar with TV screens, bathrooms and tables to have some food. The menu has your basic American fare and the service is decent. This is a place to go when you want to get out of the heat and get a drink or just something simple to eat without all the fuss. It's funny how I find myself in this establishment every time I come to the downtown area. Lol. I'm sure I'll be back.

We are Florida natives that are from Orlando. We decided to take a trip to St. Augustine for the last weekend of our kids summer vacation. As we were walking around historical downtown St Augustine, we came across Barefoot Bill's and decided we would try them out for lunch. As we walked in, we noticed the place was fairly empty, and we were told to seat ourselves. Shortly after sitting down, we were approached by a server, who then took our drink order. After that, it was at least 15 minutes before she came back to take our food order. I noticed she seemed to be distracted by something going on at the bar cash register, which I am guessing it's what was caused the delay with getting us taken care of. After ordering or food, at least another 15 minutes went by before we were checked on for drink refills (I had to get up and take my cup to the bar to get a refill at one point). After another 10 minutes, our food finally made it out. I can definitely say that it wasn't worth the wait. I ordered the Lava burger, my oldest daughter ordered the Jerk burger, my wife ordered the roast beef sub, and our two youngest split the kids pizza. My burger was bland, with no seasoning on the beef patty. Had it not been for the bbq sauce, they're would have been no flavor. My fries were terribly overcooked. The Jerk burger was overpowering with the jerk seasoning, and the fries were the same as mine. The kids pizza looked like frozen dough with store bought sauce and cheap cheese. The only thing that was made great was my wife's sub. The food was edible, and cured our hunger, but I'm not sure this would be a place we will be visiting again

This was probably the best meal we had in St. Augustine! We had some philly cheese steaks and the fish tacos, both were really great! The service was a little slow, but the poor waitress was the ONLY waitress, AND she was tending the bar at the same time! We tried to eat at some of the more upscale places while we were in town and everywhere either closed super early or we waited (The Ice Plant) for 30+ minutes for one of the dozen or more open tables, then left! The location was nice, it was attached to a cute little mall-like series of shops where you could walk up and down to see the shops all in the comfort of A/C!

The best fish tacos in all of Florida and also the hummus was delicious. The service was excellent. A great place to have lunch or dinner in Saint Augustine

Demika was a great server especially because she was by herself. Atmosphere is great. Not too busy. Food presentation could have been a little neater. Lava burger was delicious, chicken fingers were okay, fish and chips were perfectly breaded. Prices are decent. Bathrooms were disgusting. But overall service and food were good.

Barefoot Bill's nice place for a quick bite. Burgers, chicken and seafood. Sandwiches and salads. The Mermaid spicy chicken flatbread was delicious. Highly recommend it.

Generous amount of meat on the Cuban and the Jerk burger was good. Kettle chips were very good. Aside from the $5 draft bud light, great place to get out of the heat. Beware - they don't take Amex, dropped them a star for this.

Although they were about to close they took care of us. Very friendly and courteous. Great hamburger enough to share. Big!

We were looking for a restaurant that would be unique and stumbled across this gem. Food was as good as any place we have been. Fish & chips were outstanding and hamburgers are 1/2 pound. Staff was some of the best we seen and we travel all over the world. We love places with friendly staff that checks on you often. We will be back!

Terrible. The food was entirely undercooked to the point where we couldn't even eat the chicken wings. The fish was also undercooked. For easy to make bar food, in a restaurant that wasn't even busy, the quality was beyond poor. Aside from this, the only positive aspects of this restaurant are the good location and good chipotle mayo. Still, not enough to make up for the horrible food. Please get better cooking staff.

Food: Fish and Chips, chips and salsa and a burger. While the flavor of the fish was excellent, there was so much breading that you couldn't taste or see the fish SO I ended up peeling away the breading. The fries were soggy within minutes. The chips were borderline stale and from a bag and the salsa had the taste of something from a beach stand. The burger however was wonderful but came with no side, just a burger on a plate. Price: $36.00 for the above with 2 beers. Not a big bang for your buck. The Place: We found ourselves gravitating to this place one to get out of the rain and two everywhere else had a wait and line a block long. Tonight was the night of the Boat Parade and St. Augustine was packed! This place was not packed and although our server was polite and sweet the service lacked. Our chip & salsa was brought within 3 minutes of our food. We asked for extra mayo and tarter sauce and neither came. We saw our server when she took our order and when she dropped off our check, hence the "2" beers. Never had the chance to order another round. All in all a good place to grab a cocktail or a good place for the local college peeps to hang out at.

Fish tacos were great. Despite only one waitress on duty, our food came out fast and fresh. Kids chicken strip meal was a bit small for our 11 year old. The BLT had a lot of bacon and the L and T were fresh (but no mayo). Good, casual place to get a quick meal.

This was the option we chose for a quick bite of dinner before going on our Ghost Hunt. I wish we'd chosen a better place, but it is what it is... I ordered the Tiki Chicken Fingers with fries and my friend ordered a burger. The chicken fingers were plentiful and the fries were a ginormous portion, however there was -absolutely- no flavour in either. Though the fries had just come up and should have been crispy, they were oil soaked and limp, no salt at all added. The burger was a cheese burger made with American cheese and lettuce and a limp pickle spear. No flash, no pizazz nothing to make it special at all. The service was the only thing worth while. Our server, the girl behind the bar, was friendly and attentive. Might be a good place to grab a beer, but I would skip the food.

Not worth it. Food was disgusting. The fries were black. As if the grease hasn't been changed in months. Nothing we ordered was corrected. Nachos- 3 different orders 1 had twice the meat than the other 2. Another one hardly had chips. Very inconsistent. Waitress never brought salsa and sour cream until we asked. Them she brought us cocktail sauce?? Waitress never came around to refill drinks.

While visiting St. Augustine in the heat of the summer, my girlfriend and I wanted to find a place to eat that had good food at a fair price with plenty of air conditioning. We found just that. My fish tacos were absolutely delicious, the environment was cool and clean and a nice escape from the chaotic touristy happenings on St. George St. Definitely stop by if you need a break and some good food.

This place shouldn't be labeled as vegetarian. I came here because it was. Upon looking at the menu I asked the waitress and she said they can substitute a burger for a black bean soy burger and take the meat off the salad. Not what I was looking for. Anyway I ended up getting the fish tacos (I'm not vegetarian, I just like to eat that way as its healthier). The fish was similar to grouper and I got it blackened. Not bad. It was spicy, so if you don't like spice don't get this. I like spice but this seemed a tad too spicy for just a fish taco. Was it bad? no. Would I go here again? No, as there are many other places and this is just a bar with more food selections. Not anything special about it.

Fun casual place. We went for lunch. I got chicken with ham and Swiss. It was very good. And the fries are excellent!! My lunch companion got the chicken parm lunch special and was also very good. Clean and decently priced.. It's in a good location for a quick bite!

#StAugustine #firstcoast - Decent food for obvious tourist place. Located in a the back of a strip mall that has an entrance from Saint George or Treasury St, it is an easy place to find and in the middle of the old town. Food was so-so, as was service. The blackbean burger was good but my wife could not eat her bacon since it appeared raw. The size of the kid's meal was huge and a good value, as was the side of fries. All side dishes must be ordered separately which could be annoying for a large party and costly for those on a budget. The waitress was friendly but seemed frazzled and unable to manage her time or orders properly. This was surprising since the restaurant was not crowded and multiple floor staff was there. Great for a fast lunch, but if you have time find something else.

The fish tacos here are great. I never had fish tacos before but these were really good. They have great happy hour food specials and its a nice, clean, small dining establishment. The prices are decent and the staff is very nice.

Should be zero stars for service. It's amazing places like this stay in business. I walked in and no one was there except a cook and two people sitting at the bar talking to the cook. I made eye contact with all three and then wondered around until I found a menu and took a seat. THEN after a bit, one of those people at the counter came over to ask me what I want. So, she appently works here and is not a customer. Wow, no greeting customers who walk in? I left without staying, will never be back and would suggest nobody bother with this place. HOLE in the wall, but not one to visit.

IN SHORT: A nice place to grab a bite if you're in the St. George Street section of Old Town in St. Augustine, with seafood and vegetarian options available. AS A WHOLE: On our trip to St. Augustine, we of course wound up visiting St. George St. (the historic pedestrian shopping area in Old Town), and while there are no shortage of places to eat there, it is hard to find a place that has vegetarian fare. Since we started down near the Castillo de San Marcos, we finished up in the indoor mall section, and Barefoot Bill's made a great stop before we headed for our car. Honestly, if I hadn't read about the place on Yelp, I probably wouldn't have thought much of it - it's a beach-style quick service restaurant that houses the bathrooms for the indoor mall, and it really looked like touristy fare. And yet we were surprised that the food was actually worthwhile. I had a BBQ black bean burger which was quite delightful, and my wife and I shared some fries. My sister-in-law had some black beans and rice, which she said were delicious. They had a variety of options on the menu, including a lot of beers and some seafood. The server was polite and attentive, and the restaurant was quite accommodating to our 1-year-old. My only gripe on that front is that there's no diaper changing station in either restroom. I don't believe in docking places a star just because they're not full-service. Barefoot Bill's is what it is, but that doesn't mean it's bad. Is this a place I'd recommend if you're dining out in St. Augustine and looking for a nice dinner? Probably not. But if you're finding yourself famished in the Old Town district and don't want to wait for a table at the Columbia or if you're looking for a quick bite, brew and a place to cool off, Barefoot Bill's is a nice option!

The worst burger I have ever had, I couldn't even finish it. But the staff was very friendly.

Worst service ever! Sat at the bar for a quick sandwich order. Got drinks within 3 minutes - awesome! Then never got waited on. We kept trying to get the waitresses attention and she would just ignore us and go to the people next to us or down the bar some. We waved down another waitress and asked if she could take our order, and she pointed to the woman who was ignoring us and said "She will be with you shortly." Our waitress proceeded to change out a blown keg, wait on the people who were seated ten minutes after us, and successfully ignored us. Our waves, "excuse me's", and even direct eye contact made no difference. She was blatantly ignoring us and I had no idea why. We were in St. Augustine for three days and had great service at every place we ate except this. After fifteen minutes of being ignored (they were not that busy, by the way), we tried to wave her down to just get our check for the cup of water and glass of soda we had received. She still ignored us. We wound up leaving money on the counter and exiting. I wasn't five steps away from the counter and the waitress who told us to wait for our regular waitress was already collecting the money. They can't wait on us but can take our money? When I saw this, I did go back and comment that it was the worst service I had ever received. I do NOT recommend this place at all. They need to hire some good help. The good side is that we left there and wound up at Tempo, right around the corner. Excellent food there. Highly recommend it. Friendly people. Prompt service. Great food. That review is separate! Avoid Barefoot Bills if you have any choice!
