We went here for a Saturday night FSU game while staying in Rosemary Beach. I asked for a cabernet and the bartender pointed me to 4 bottles. I picked one of the four thinking it would average about 10 a glass. When we went to leave we got hit with a $37.00 charge for the glass. We asked the bartender why he didn't warn us that the cost was so high and he said he didn't want to "insult" me. Will, he failed at that goal because I left there feeling insulted and taken advantage of. It was one thing to do it, but then to fail to remedy the situation was inexcusable. And good luck getting to actually hear an FSU game at this sports bar. Even though FSU was only 2 hours away the owner apparently hates the team and wouldn't put the sound on...

Attended Acme with my family August 2014 on vacation. Arrived on a Thursday night around 7:30 with the place fairly empty when we sat down. While our food took an excess amount of time to arrive and one item (hamburger) arrived 10 minutes after all of the other already late items I must commend the restaurant for the dishes. We had the meatball pizza as an appetizer which came with large slices of meatball and a crispy crust. To say the least, the pizza didn't last long. My brother and I had the special, local Diver scallops with collard green pesto and gnocchi, and OMG it was delicious. Usually when I order scallops I expect them to be small and for me not to leave very full but they were huge (4)! The gnocchi was delicious and cooked well and, although I was skeptical of the pesto since I do not like collard greens, it did not disappoint! My grandmother got the other special, Red snapper with fingerling potatoes and asparagus in a scampi sauce. The sauce was delicious and fish was cooked just right. To finish it off right we ordered a chocolate milk shake and cookies and cream milkshake to share and they were also large, each coming with an overflow cup to enjoy, and delicious. Overall I wish the food had arrived sooner since the place was pretty slow when we first got there and that the server would have made more of an effort to rectify the situation when it was late and the burger was even more late. However all of our dishes tasted so good we almost forgot about the delay by the end. Definitely recommend, just wouldn't be in a big hurry when you do go. And get the scallops (they will be added to there regular menu I hear!).

Atmosphere was nice. Food was very disappointing. Margarita Pizza, had no sliced tomatoes, only a few dollops of mozzarella, 5 pieces of basil and marinara for the base. Luke warm. Sat for at least 5 minutes before being served and there were only 3 tables occupied. Prime rib was luke warm. Requested medium rare, was served very rare with no au jus or horseradish sauce. Will not go back.

I do like this place, but there are some areas it can definitely improve on. As many peeps are saying, this place is a nice change of pace from the stuffy restaurants along 30-A. Like Great remodel of the space Great TV setup Pretty good food Great looking staff Hate Piano Man is horrible. I like that they are trying for entertainment, but either the acoustics are awful or he needs to adjust his echo. If you want people to come for sports, don't have any live music during the NBA Finals Bar stools are uncomfortable. Your butt gets numb after about 20min. Will be hard to sit for a full game during football season Very pricey beers Don't allow ANY substitutions on food Does have great potential, but I hope they continue to improve their offerings. Update: I retract everything from above. I have been back numerous times and every time there is something that frustrates/ruins the meal. It's always either the service, the price, the attitude or something else. We are locals so we always give it another try, but unfortunately they continue to let us down.

Service was fast and outstanding. The pizzas were terrific using some of the best sauce and crust combo I've ever tasted. NYC worthy. Make sure you try a pie that uses fresh mozzarella. Then include a handmade shake. You simply can't go wrong. If you are staying in the Rosemary Beach area make sure you stop by Acme.

Really a great and easy place to stop in and get some great food. It's a lot of pretty authentic Italian-American standards and really fresh ingredients. No fries with your sandwiches, so plan accordingly.

I felt his place is a mix of 50's burger joint/soda fountain, pizzeria and modern dining. I know that sounds like a lot to pack into one place, but they make it work and make it work really well. Really good burgers, onion rings, fries and milkshakes. The burgers are premium beef from grazed cattle and it shows through with the flavor of the meat. They make their own sauce; it is unique and very tasty. Went well on the burger. It added to the flavor and didn't take over like some sauces do. You can get your burger as a single or double. The single was plenty, but for only a couple dollars you can go super size with almost 2/3 pound of meat. The burgers come stand alone so we ordered onion rings to share and glad we went that route. They are huge and were plenty for the 3 of us to share. The onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. They also provided their sauce with the onion rings and they went really well together. We ordered the cheese fries for an appetizer. They are really good french fries with a fresh made cheese blend (no nasty cheese goop here). At 1st I was like, "Where's the cheese?" thinking we got cheese fries like you get from a chain with very little cheese on them. Then I saw the layer of cheese in the bottom of the pan which works out for the best so you can dip the fries in plenty of cheese and they don't get soggy from having them in constant contact. We finished off the meal with milk shakes. The shakes are like everything else, very good. While we din't order the strawberry shortcake, the table next to us did and I feel compelled to add this to my review as I find it significant to the quality of this restaurant. We had struck up a conversation with them earlier as we were all waiting for our desserts. Come to find out, we are from the same town and have several mutual friends. One of which is also vacationing at the same time. Well, she is a professional baker. To emphasize how good the strawberry shortcake is, she had it the first night they were here, and has been back every day since. Now for the hardest part for any resaurant owner to control, the service. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! Our server was very sociable, knew every answer for every question we had regarding the menu, and was very attentive to every table she had making the experience as enjoyable as possible for all of us. The servers for the other tables around us were also fun and, like all really good people in this profession, worked as a team to take care of whatever anyone needed regardless if it was their table. To sum it up, this is a great place and is highly recommended. We will definitely be back at least once on this trip to try the strawberry shortcake, and maybe more to try the pizza depending on what our trip entails.

Everyone there is so nice and it's in a very convenient spot. There milk shakes are amazing and it's one of my favorite memories there. Our waiter "Jerry" was so funny. I highly recommend him. Their burgers are so amazing so when you I there get the Acme burger. Overall 5 stars for sure. Thank you for creating so many memories.

We arrived at ACME at 7:00 pm. The design was quite nice. A rustic and inviting sports bar and large restaurant. It was not very crowded on a Wednesday. The menu had many choices but for the most part it was fancy bar food (burgers, wings and the like with a few fancy entrees too). We were seated promptly with a smile. The service we received was very good and it looked like this was true of the entire crew. Now for the reason's for the below average rating: The food is quite expensive for the food quality and serving size. I ordered the burger ($12) with cheddar cheese (add $1.5) and bacon (add $2). Now I may be reaching but I expect a very good burger for $15.50! It wasn't even close. Chili's burger is much better and bigger for that matter so I rate the burger a 5/10 compared to a chili's 6/10. The "hot" wings were large (nice), undercooked and under sauced. I rate the wings a 6/10. The mixed drinks were well made and priced about like you would expect. My wife's salad (ACME chopped salad) was just ok and our friends ahi burger was pretty good. Now comes the crazy part. They had 12 or 15 tvs in the sports bar area. There were a couple football games on, a baseball game and some reality tv show on two of the tvs. The also have two tvs that were doing nothing but flashing their logo (I knew where I was) and a tv schedule. We asked if they could put the US Open tennis tourney on one tv. The waitress said she would see. A guy came over and said they were not allowed to change the channels. So My friend asked the manager (who really didn't seem to be adding any operational value) if we could change one of the tvs with the reality tv show on it to the tennis. She said she didn't know how and for that matter none of the employees working knew how either. I agree that on a football Saturday or Sunday a schedule for the games being shown is prudent. but on a Wednesday when there is not enough sporting events to fill half your tvs a rule like that is just silly. Now I'm fairly technically inclined and it doesn't seem to me that this is anyway to handle the request of a customer willing to shell out 16 bucks for a hamburger. In Summary: This is a restaurant designed to extract money from tourists. It's a cool place but its pretty expensive and the foods just average. Go to Shades around the corner. Food is better, value way better and they will always change the channel for you.
Burgers and specialty fries excellent. Justin, the server, is lacking. Seemed to care more about talking about himself than being attentive to customer needs.

I don't even really know where to start. We were seated rather quickly; no wait. Should have seen that as a sign. Got our drink orders and appetizer of onion rings came out pretty quickly. We placed our food order at the same time we placed app order, which was three wood fire pizzas (cheese, veggie and arugula and prosciutto). Considering I can cook one of these in about 6-7 mins on a Green Egg, I thought it may be pretty quick. It took 40 mins. My wife's veggie pizza was so greasy she could only eat one piece and it only had two of the five advertised, veggie toppings. The kids demolished their cheese and my arugula and prosciutto was so-so. Service was a C+. For as much as it cost, the food should have been better and the service should have been better. The only thing saving this review from a one star, is the onion rings, which were really good. We vacation down here annually and I won't be back, unless it's for a beer.

I am going to give this place a little more time to get on its feet to revisit and write a full review. It has only been opened about a week and they are definitely working out the kinks. I did tip that they will not seat until a "majority" of your party is present. I can see why they have chosen to enact this policy as it is a "touristy" spot and can be quite cumbersome when people come in wanting to accommodate a party of 15+; however, as locals, it left a little off-putting taste in our mouths. We love, love, love to support local...we really want to see these businesses thrive and flourish. Getting back to the "not seating until a majority of your party is present". Well when you come in with children and the weather is not accommodating outside, you really have no options of where to wait for your party. The bar, which is located right at the hostess stand, is 21 and over, which leaves one to wait right in front of the door/hostess stand until your party arrives. The hostess did indicate that we could leave our number and go back to our apt/hotel until everyone had arrived; unfortunately, as locals, that would have required us driving all the way back to our house, not an option, and then waiting for a text and then driving all the way back....really, who would want to do such a thing? I will say kudos on the management for making a decision to seat us once 1/2 of our party was present as the rest were on their way from work and/or stuck in traffic. Food was not bad and the service was good. As I said before, we will give this place a little more time to get its footing before heading back BUT we will definitely give it another try. For those of you all visiting, just be advised of their seating policy and it did get crowded about 20mins after we were sat. As always in this neck of the woods, when it is high season, it will be a wait to get into almost any restaurant.

Acme is so good that we went every day during our vacation! Our faves were the acme ice burger and the truffle fries. If we weren't so full, we would have tried the shakes. Management went above and beyond to let us know that our patronage was appreciated (we were treated to a complimentary appetizer on our last visit). Wait staff was consistent at each visit. We look forward to our next Rosemary Beach vacation and we look forward to eating here yearly.

Hostess went out of her way to accommodate our party of 11. Split us up with three tables and worked out perfectly. Food is always consistently good. Great place to bring kids. Kid's pizzas are huge; definitely will split between kids. As every other restaurant at the beach, it's a bit overpriced and the kid drinks are $2.75 each. But you're at the beach. Only strange thing is the lady pianist playing odd songs (instrumental), mostly TV theme songs. A guitarist would be a better fit.

Definitely would not recommend. Went there with a large party (7 adults 3 kids) on a Saturday night. I guess everyone else had read the bad reviews and stayed clear because this place was dead for 7:30 on a Saturday. We were told they had great Burgers and that's why we ended up there. Our server Justin clearly wasn't in to the mood for great service knowing he already scored a 20% tip for a large party. It took at least 20 minutes to get a 6 waters and 4 teas. When we ordered our burgers, we asked if we could sub our French fries for another side. Justin gave us the list of other side items. He failed to mention they would charge you 3 dollars for the substitution. It took over 45 minutes to get our food, and like I said the restaurant wasn't very busy. The food was mediocre at best for a 14.00 ACME burger that had no cheese (that was extra), lettuce tomato and onions with their ACME sauce (ketchup and mayo mixed together). The burger was dry and poorly seasoned. The overly expensive side item of potatoes gratin were bland at best. Our service was terrible. Our water glasses were never refilled until the very end. Justin couldn't be bother with us but seeing he didn't have many tables maybe he just didn't feel like working hard that day. When the check finally came, with 3 families we asked if it could be split. He said his "computer system couldn't split checks" so we could either split it 3 ways or put it on one card. Would have been nice to know before the meal but then again if he had to split it he wouldn't get his 20% off the top. Will not be returning for the mediocre burger I could get at a chain and the subpar service. My husband and I are both in the service industry and can't believe the poor quality for such a nice vacation area restaurant that targets out of town guests.

I have no idea how the food is here, never even made it past the hostess stand. I work in the hospitality industry and never in my life have I been more turned off from a place than here. We walked in, a party of 5 and 5:40pm hoping to catch the happy hour oyster special and we were told it would be a 20 to 25 minute wait. There were tons of open seats. When we questioned this we were told that they were at full capacity and they strive on excellent customer service and wouldn't seat us and suggested we go somewhere else. So we did. My advice to Acme Ice House is instead of turning us away how about this " We will be happy to seat you, it may take your server a few minutes to get over to your table because we just got really busy, but I'll be happy to get your drink order started for you while you wait" It's not rocket science it's just called good customer service. Why you would allow your hostess staff to tell your potential customers to go somewhere else is beyond me. We went to La Cocina and had a not so great table, but EXCELLENT service from our awesome server Jennie, which totally made up for the table location. And the food was very good as well.

My husband and I ate there while on vacation in Seacrest Beach. We both had an excellent meal and terrific service. I had the special which was steak and shrimp served over spicy mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was terrific. My husband had a large salad with chicken and really enjoyed it. We sat outside in the shade but the inside was very cool with all sorts of interesting rock and roll posters as well as motorcycle stuff. It was very tastefully decorated. Ver enjoyable. We will definitely go back!
