My family and I get take out from here all the time and it has never let us down. My dad loves the sausage pasta dish and gets its more than 3 times a month! My mom and I love their pizzas, especially the white pizza.

Friendly service. Love the bread and olive oil. My husband and I split a personal size pizza and took some home. Great pizza. Chicken Parmesan was good. Chicken capri was just okay.

The food is very good. Reminds me of the food my grandmother used to make however the pizza is average at best. It's kind of dark and not really all that inviting if you ask me. I'd be much more likely to do take out than dine in.

Not-quite mediocre Italian restaurant. Friendly service, but the food disappoints.

The Italian Grill needs a lot of improvement but could be a great restaurant one day. When we arrived, there were only a few tabled filled and nobody else came for the rest of the night. That usually tells the story. To start, the interior looked really nice and the booths are very comfortable. That is all of the good news I can give you as the problems started after we sat down. Waitress never offered or brought us water. When I did ask for water, she didn't ask the rest of the table if they wanted water. I received my water in a mason jar. Very interesting, a flashback to the 80's when I was growing up. Doesn't really fit with this restaurant but I digress! My caesar salad was tasty but my mozzarella sticks didn't taste very fresh. No crispy outside texture like they were just deep fried. My wife ordered a pizza and when we all received our meals, the waitress said that they burned her pizza so they had to make a new one. I ordered the Lasagna which was pretty good but drowned in sauce. When the pizza finally came out, it wasn't good at all. To bad because they have a nice wood burning oven. The crust wasn't crispy and there was to much cheese. It tasted like I slapped it together at my house and threw it in the oven. They need to totally redo their website because it looks horrible and the prices are much higher on the actual menu than the website. My advice, fire all of the staff, hire new cooks and waitresses, redo the website, and stop serving diner food. And for crying out loud, add the restaurant hours to your website, that should be standard!

What a disappointment! Lame wine list, no drink menu. Bruschetta is pale chopped tomatoes with garlic, nothing special. Fried mozzarella is obviously frozen sticks. Side salad is a laughable plate of chopped romaine with two slices of tomato. Our waitress could not have cared any less. The best part of the meal was the bread and oil, and it wasn't anything amazing. Worst part of the meal was when THEY STACKED CHAIRS ON TABLES as they closed the dining room WHILE WE ATE OUR ENTREES!!

Not sure what all the hype is??? Parking lot is always full! Calamari was pretty tasteless. We asked for lemon 2x and never got them, kids Alfredo was $7.99 for a 2 year old. Over all meal was fair. Had carbonara, salmon piccata, kids Alfredo and calamari. Not running back anytime soon.

Tried this place for the first time with a coupon. I had veal saltimbocca that was excellent, tender, tasty meat. Had tiramisu for dessert and it was the best I've ever had. Definitely will be back.

I used to come to this restaurant as a kid with my family and It was definitely my favorite place for dinner in the area. I finally made it back here as an adult after years of missing this place! Unfortunately, I found the experience to be pretty disappointing... The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about and the service was just terrible. It was fairly busy that night so I can understand the service being a little slow but to sit at our table for an hour+ waiting for our food and not even a drink refill while we waited. A woman who I believe was the manager even came to our table and asked if we were all set and finished with dinner, clearly giving us a hint to leave so they could use the table... I was shocked since we hadn't received our food! Shortly after that our waiter finally came back and explained that our food would be coming out next. I finally saw him coming out of the kitchen with two plates and off he went to another table... It was probably about 15-20 minutes after that when finally received our food... He explained that another waiter took our plates to the wrong table so they had to make our food again... Why he didn't come over and let us know while we waited over an hour, I have no idea... That's just very very poor service. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, there are much better Italian restaurants in the area!

Tried it out after driving past for years and wondering about it. Food reminded me of Boston's North End. It was loud inside. Probably won't become a regular, but not mad that I went.

Best veal parm we had in a while. And that's even considering we just spent 9 days in Italy. Good service & good menu choices.

We love the food at this cozy neighborhood place, esp. the veal dishes and meatballs. A full bar and the best house cianti anywhere!! They offer good pizza but no subs or sandwiches on the menu. The wait staff is friendly and effecient. Just a couple of suggestions: the attractive manager (owner?) just walks around looking pretty. Would be nice if she stopped by to greet us and ask if we need anything. They also need to drain the pasta longer so it doesn't water down their sauces. We enjoyed the Background music (a flashback to the Sinatra days) and occasionally they have a keyboard player/singer there for a couple hours. It is a great family place with good food and service and reasonable prices for the area. We are regulars when ever we are in town.

Good Italian food. Sometimes they have a guy walk around with a accordion....I love it. Bit expensive...but our kids like it.

We are regulars here but only because of the location to our home and the fact that the food is ok...service is ok....prices are ok...Food is fresh, hot and flavorful but by no means is it anything exciting...just a neighborhood Italian place...I do like the bread!

Great neighborhood restaurant on S Tamiami. Friendly servers and owners. Live music is pleasant and doesn't interfere with diner's dinner conversations. Excellent brick oven pizza but also many great meal options.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
