great burgers. sit outside. we saw a big gator by the pond out back. image is a bit loud. could make a spot a bit quieter for diners who want to talk

Went there to watch a football game...never again..sound was horrible waitress took forever and was just so lost..food runner was rude as he approches the table and with a stern face said who got the chicken fingers....food is just sysco frozen stuff and we ordered a lot finished nothing...not a place for sports. ..though none of the geckos is good for sports they have terrible tv placement which for a sports fans thats huge..I did like the decor and the view of the lake..each got them a star

This location has just opened so they are working put done of the food service bugs. Must give them credit for admitting their problem and are trying to get it right. On the bright side, the food is good. Kids pizza was very bland, but the classic burger w/ bacon was 'tasty' according to our 13 year old. Grilled Ruben was very good, fries were so-so. Worth another try

Stopped in for lunch today after a day at the beach. The food was great! Had the grilled shrimp club and it was outstanding. Everyone was happy with their lunch. The service was pretty good. He was attentive enough, but if I ask for lemon in my water the first two times I'm probably going I want it the third. Also the two for one margaritas were a waste - they only got one. And they said they put in two shots. Overall I'd go back for the food and skip the drinks.

I will not be returning to this location or any of the Gecko's. I do not like the concept they try to maintain. They want a youthful image, but seriously, almost everyone there, including the managers, have no clue about the service industry. They tack on every little extra side onto the bill. The food is bland and is not worth the money. But this last time we went, we only saw the server once. She dropped off waters and never returned. A manager dropped off my husband's beer without bringing my wine and I kept seeing her walking back and forth inside, to never return, so we left. Let them eat the beer. Poor customer service and will not return, it left a final bad feeling in my gut. I hate this place.

Stopped in with my girlfriend for lunch while visiting from out of town. We were sat immediately at a clean table and service was prompt. We ordered the rib appetizer and chicken wings - both were AMAZING. The BBQ sauce on the ribs was delicious and the ribs were fall-apart tender and perfectly charred. The wings were good sized and the buffalo and chili sauce were both very good. We had two, different managers stop by the table to make sure everything was okay and our waitress was extremely polite and attentive without being pushy. I wish this place was near where I lived!

Updating my previous review. Still a pub/sports bar scene, with the service still needing some help, but the food was excellent. We ordered the margarita pizza, the New Orleans Rajin Cajin Pita, Turkey wrap, and chili cheese dogs. The Pitas were excellent with the chili cheese dogs up there as well. The wrap and pizza were good as well! Great food, just step up the service; our waiter was average, got what we needed when we needed, he just didn't seem interested in much else, or in people for that matter.

They have a big projector screen nice for watching sport games. I tried the "Gecko's" burger. A burger with cheese, chili, and a big onion ring on top. Pretty good stuff. My waitress, I believe summer was her name, was very nice.

Yikes! I'll start off by saying that I do really LOVE Geckos BUT, I don't think this location is going to make it. First, this restaurant used to be a fish place, then an island grill and now it is Geckos. It is a very odd decor inside. Instead of the typical dark setting with sports/beer promos on the walls it is ores, casting nets, life rafts, etc. It is also about 30* inside and the a/c blows hard. It was honestly so uncomfortable to even eat. We have been here twice and do not plan to return. The first time, we ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich. At every other location, this would typically take 10 minutes to get out to us. We sat there for 45..yes, FOURTY FIVE minutes before we got our food and they were not even that busy. No one could give us an answer for what took so long and the manager didn't even come talk to us. The second time, our server was very new and came back to the table 6 times while putting our order in with questions we had already answered such as the side we wanted or the dressing. Our food came out at different times so by the time the last meal got there, everyone else's was already cold. We asked if they could turn the a/c down a little so it wasn't blowing so hard on us and we got a very rude "no" followed by "bring a jacket next time"...we will not be returning to this location.

There are several Geckos in town. This location has live music and an outside patio. There are many rooms for separate dining occasions. Great place to watch sports or just hang out with friends. Family friendly too. Can get loud at times.

After a second visit, I felt that three stars more accurately describes the experience. The service simply can't make up for the average food. I ordered the chicken salad and it was salty, heavy and sat on a bed of greens that was far too generous.

Went there with the Penn State alumni group, I'll have a hard time gong back. Two stars instead of one because the service was good and the TV large. Greasy, lousy bar food, kids pizza was worse then cardboard and prices unreasonable for the overall experience. I'll recommend the group, 50 strong, look elsewhere for future games to watch. I've been to 2 other Gecko's locations without issue.......maybe some new management is needed.

I love this location. Great happy hour and scenic views. We usually sit outside on the deck and always get some good nature viewing (birds, alligators, fish) I never have a complaint about the food or drinks and the staff has always been pleasant.

Fun atmosphere and decent location! The food was just ok, but the prices and the atmosphere made up for it. I wouldn't recommend the ribs. They were dry ribs with an overly thick sticky and too sweet of a sauce. The French onion soup was good though. The wings are pretty good too. It was also fun to watch the gators swim around in the pond that the restaurant overlooked.

One of the better Geckos locations. Huge indoor seating as well as outdoor. I had the chicken frisco, dipped in buffalo and it was good. There was very little buffalo sauce on it, but none-the-less, still good. Geckos is a solid go-to place. Lots of choices on the menu from salads to burgers and apps.

My husband and I just ate there today. I was pleased with the food. The tuna nachos were outstanding. The nacho is homemade out of fried wantons and the yellow fin tuna served to my perfection. The chicken burrito was also excellent. It had great chuncks of chicken. It comes with rice & red beans. The rice and beans were not the best. The red beans needed a little more flavor, but overall, it was fine. The service was great, the place was clean, and the menus were very interesting and colorful. I live far from this restaurant, but if I drive by this area, I will surely want to eat there. There was a Mediterranean salad on the menu that looked very interesting.

Had lunch here today...it was absolutely FREEZING inside. We mentioned it to our server who was sympathetic and said that they had problems with insufficient air-conditioning when they first opened and were really trying to keep it cool for everyone. I don't know if that was a satisfactory response, but at least he was smiling. We heard others complaining as well. Aside from that, food and service were both very good; we had a Cobb Salad, Philly Cheese Steak, a chicken salad platter and a French Dip sandwich...all large and tasty. We will certainly return to this location (it has been home to three or four restaurants in the past).

So far last two visits had good meals very generous portions staff very good, place nice . Great menu slit if choices

I've been here several times for lunch and although they are always busy I can depend on them to serve the food quickly. My favorites are the Bison Burger, The Ultimate Chicken Sandwich and the Pot Roast Dinner. The portions are the perfect size for lunch, on the larger side. I love their homemade chips and have to order it every time.

Longer than normal wait (I'm told the wait is short) due to baseball team, but hostess kept us informed of the time. Large restaurant, nice setup, waitress Katie super nice. Burger was better than average, Kid friendly, although no kid menus were given. There are kid sized entrees. TVs on every wall, watched ESPN. Will go again and try another dish. Overall great experience.

Just a regular chain sports bar. Nothing special. Decent beer on tap, lots of tvs and a pretty nice patio overlooking a little lake. I ordered chicken fingers and fries, both blatantly frozen from a bag. The bartender, however, was very friendly and very quick. He is what made the difference between a two and three star rating. I was there on a Saturday, college football was on, and it was pretty packed. Given that, I'm assuming it's busy for NFL games as well. I may be back if I'm ever in the area but won't make any special effort. Like I said, nothing special.

Yummy food! Decent service. I wish there was an area free of TVs because I love their food but dislike the distraction of a screen.

The several times I drove past this Gecko's location the parking lot was packed so I had to try it. I should have just kept driving. The staff is very nice and the restaurant is pretty, albeit eclectic, "interesting" decor. We ordered the chicken caesar wrap (not good) and fries. The mozzarella sticks were typical of what comes frozen from a cardboard box...chewy and gross. The nachos grande (I ordered the chili to be put on the side) was a heap of cold chips with barely any cheese and large pieces of lettuce and diced red onion. Boring fodder. We won't be back to this location. I understand that the other Gecko restaurants are really good. If that is the case, they need to figure out how to improve this location sooner than later. I am going to visit their other location to be fair.

Went with wife and two kids. during evening rush hour and no much of a wait. Very clean. Service was helpful, knowledgeable and quick. Orders came out quickly. I had the Blackened Tilapia sandwich, which was great. Everybody loved their food. I will definitely be returning soon.
