Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I like Chipotle this location is no exception. Nice new interior but access is tough here. Just ry turning south on 41! Stuff about Chipotle in general..... Barbacoa- simply awesome. salad - Basically a burrito over salad. This is my go to. The move is to shake the hell out of it with the top on before eating :) Freshness!!!!!!!!!!!!- Once you have been to Chipotle a few times and seen how quickly the items in the warmer/cooler trays turn the food prep bar at Moe's is straight-up disgusting. Consistency- They do a good job Commitment to naturally raised ingredients- Wish everyone did this. Still shade too expensive (worth it because of above) and I wish chips were a cheaper side. Wish there were a few other choices for sides in general. Service - pretty usual for 'fast food' Not bad but not a cut above.

I am a huge fan of Chipotle! Their food is always fresh and tastes great! Occassionally however, the line is a little long and takes time to get through so if you are in a hurry, call ahead. My recommendation is the burrito bowl with chicken!

Consistently delicious. Guacamole is worth the extra cash. Get a bowl or a salad with the tortilla on the side. Yesss work me out chipotle. Don't eat too much, sometimes I hurt myself there :)

My fault for getting steak at a fast food place but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Fatty. Almost every bite. Chipotle is not that cheap. I have spent less at authentic Mexican restaurants and you don't have to choose between cheese and sour cream. You get both. Granted the burrito was huge. I saved half for the next day. But then you get nothing at all with it so is it really less expensive? Granted, there is rice in it so technically you can call that a side. I do love their chips and salsa and would go back for those. They do not have ground beef or crunchy tacos so that right there is a thumbs down for me from the start. Oh well. Just for the record this was not my first time there. I did like that there food is Hormone-free etc which is why I have gone back. The cilantro rice is good.

This is one of my faves for fast, fresh, healthy food. Salad bowls are the tops. Happy animal meats only add to the pleasure of the create-your-own meal.

I love how people (including me) are reviewing Chipotle. It's almost like reviewing McDonalds, except that Chipotle is a lot better of course. So I live in San Francisco, with amazing taquerias every two blocks, and probably eat 2 burritos a week. These SF taquerias are cheap, family-owned and delicious, resulting in me never going to Chipotle unless I'm traveling. That being said, Chipotle is fantastic. They serve high-quality meat, freshly grilled vegetables, and quality beans. And all of this from an open kitchen that screams "clean!" The caveats are that they serve white rice instead of yellow rice (but I think it works well), and the prices really shoot up if you order extras like chips or guacamole. Stick with the basics and you'll get a great, cheap, and super-filling meal.

Do I hate writing a Yelp review about a corporate-owned franchise? Yes. Am I a huge fan of Chipotle and think it's among the best value for quality in Sarasota? Yes. Hormone-free, antibiotic-free meats + fresh veggies + cilantro-lime rice + several varieties of beans & hot sauce = WIN. Plus they are candid with their nutritional info. I was pretty bummed to discover that those dellllliiiiiiiiccciiiiiioooouuuuuusssss chips of theirs do not quite fall into the "green light" food category but happy about being empowered to know what I'm getting into when I order a side of chips & guacamole. Great option for a quick lunch or dinner on a budget.

Terrible. This place is an insult to Mexican food. It's clearly a concept for gringos that have no idea what real Mexican food should be. Granted everything was very fresh but for the twenty bucks I dropped here for two burritos we could have gone to a taqueria and eaten much cheaper and way more authentic. Not Returning, ever.

Very good for a chain fast food resturaunt. Service was fast and friendly.

Hmmm... Yes the food was ok for a fast food chain. It was fresh and the guacamole was great. For me it was lacking in the menu. I guess it was just confusing. Nothing was labeled on the bar while they were making my meal so it was a guess at what I was getting. I suppose as a novice it is hard to know what's what... Maybe I need more practice? My meal was $11 bucks. Just not worth it, I doubt I'll be going any time soon.

Always fast and always great. I love their salad bowls and speedy service. Not to mention their ethical attitude.

I love Chipotle. It is conveniently located off of 301 (Washington St.) Friendly staff. Fast to serve you.

I like this place, I really do, but since when are black beans not part of the Mexican diet? When I asked for black beans I was told by two employees Mexico does not serve black beans. First off my BFF lives in San Miguel, Mexico so i know what is part of the Mexican diet and black beans are definitely in it! The food is fresh but you need to ask to hold back on the rice or half of the stuff will be just that. Parking is good but getting out is a b&^$#.

Good, basic food. Prices aren't bad. By no means fine dining, but for a quick, filling meal, it hits the spot.

Huge fan of Chipotle. The food is fresh, delicious and a great value. I'm vegan and I specifically go to Chipotle when I am in the mood for Tex-Mex, because I am assured of their quality and animal product-free options. I love the Sofritas and beans. The food is hot, fresh and served abundantly with a smile. I love their new GMO stance and am now a faithful fan. Thanks Chipotle! You make dining out easier for me no matter where I travel.

When I went to pick up my food that I ordered through the app I stood by the register for 5 minutes without being acknowledge. Eventually someone asked what I needed I told them I had ordered online and needed to pick up. They asked my name and I wanted for another minute. It was very busy and an employee placed a bag on the register counter and never said it was mine. I waited another few minutes not knowing if it was my food or not because I didn't want to take an order that wasn't mine. Eventually the same employee who placed the bag on the counter rudely came over and said "this is yours". I'll take my business elsewhere.

Not happy with the quality of the steak they use. And were out of Chips!!?? What Mexican food restaurant runs out of Chips!! Tough to be positive.
(1)Wendy F.
Used to be awesome, now not so much. Seems like something always goes wrong, and standard fare often includes weapons-grade seasoning, charred-beyond-edibility chicken meat and grouchy, overworked servers. Run away. They seem to have a hard time keeping the serving line operational.

This location is awful. Every time we call in an order we arrive to find that it has not even been started. We even usually give them extra time, but it doesn't matter. Half the time they argue with us and claim we never called anything in, and then after several times of going back and forth they 'find' our order.... if you go there after 7 or 8pm, be prepared to be served half portions. They don't know how to make enough food to make it through the day, so they begin running out of food. Rather than make more, they start giving very small portions. Tonight, they ran out of guac and got a nasty attitude with me because I was annoyed. The customer service is AWFUL and the people who work here on the evening shift seem to be in a chronically surly mood.
(2)Alisha G.
This location is horrible. The traffic, the lines. The staff is so unorganized and the lines go around the building from staff making customers wait 5-10mins for them to cook the meat. Then, they have the nerve to charge you for "extra" meat because you know you had to wait ten minutes for them to cook it and then they only give you a tiny spoonful.Maybe im greedy. I like more than a spoonful of meat.Takes way to long in the line & waiting for meat to cook. Other than that the food is good.

Pretty typical Chipotle... -The only plus is that it is $6.25 for a chicken burrito bowl unlike New York City @ $8.25. -They were a bit skimpy on the baked beans (Yelper A R. also mentioned about their small portion size)
(3)Mario V.
Chipotle food is always good, that being said.. I wonder what they do to their workers that makes them constantly have such crappy attitudes??? Is it horrific pay? bad conditions? Do they require monthly employees beating instead of a meetings? Or is it simply that with high demand Chipotle management doesn't feel the need to care about the customers experience? With Customer Service I'm always inclined to believe it starts at the top and the management here is a FAIL! I have cut down my usual once a week visit to maybe once a month as 8 out of 10 times visiting this place you simply have to shake your head at how shitty they treat the customers.
(3)Diane M.
Vegetarian? No problem. Carnivore? Yup, they do it well. Fast, friendly service? Always. This is one of the cleanest, well-run Chipotle locations I've found in the country. Not a lot of seating, but the outdoor patio is pleasant and well-appointed.
(4)Tom L.
Good quality food. Fresh. And very reasonably priced. The tofu filing is very tasty. This place is always crowded.
(4)Sara K.
This location has it's ups and downs. But it's pretty tasty.
(4)Tim W.
I'm a huge fan of Chipotle but it's not as good as some of the other Chipotles I've been to. The chicken isn't as spicy as other locations but all in all I keep going back. They should also have a bigger restaurant at this location because it gets really full and crowded, long lines.
(5)JEREMY G.
While chipotle has been far and away one of the greatest inventions in franchise history, I am sadly here to say that this particular stop does not meet the standard. All too often this restraunt serves up overcooked meats and poorly wrapped burritos. The place is usually in disarray and it's just so painful because really there is notice else that compares to the original.
