Second visit in a year - loved it both times so had to review. Sushi/rolls were fresh, burgers were awesome, so was the grouper and cobia and mahi. Owner? promptly came by to greet us, did the specials. Erin waited on us (5 adults, 6 hungry boys) AND ran the bar - fabulously efficient and she was such fun!!!! Not expensive and had great live music - bonus ;) When you gotta go off-campus from Seaside/Watercolor this is a great alternative.

This was a terrible dining experience. The service was extremely slow and the food was mediocre at best. Started out with the cheese curds and egg rolls. Both were ok, but nothing special. The fish and chips were horrible. They were square blocks of fish that were bland and slightly under cooked The redfish special with crab and asparagus was the best thing we had. The bearnaise sauce was thick, lumpy and bland. The asparagus shouldn't have been in the description because they were match stick sized and over cooked to the point of mush. The grouper with shrimp was edible but tasteless. The tomato basil soup was extremely thin and tasted like water. The shrimp poboys were tasty enough. The fries that came with the poboys were terrible. They tasted like frozen fries that has been heated in the microwave. All in all a waste of money. There are so many great places on 30-A, I would skip this one.

For starters, no one was at the door to greet my girlfriend and I. Then we saw someone that appeared to be the hostess. This individual was not friendly and made us feel awkward as he stared at us for a few moments then was too lazy to direct us to our seat and told us to pick anywhere. After seating ourselves, I noticed a subtle unpleasant odor, lighting that was so dim we had trouble reading the menu, and overall uncleanliness. The waitress seemed very sloth like and unprofessional. The food was extremely over priced for the lack of quality we received on the night of out visit. Presentation and taste was poor. Overall horrible experience.

This place was fantastic!! Sushi is awesomely! Lollipop shrimp appetizer was fantastic!

Such a fun place to go! The owners were some of the nicest people ever. They genuinely care about your experience there. The food was awesome and the karaoke was very entertaining.

Amazing food and people! We were greeted by a very friendly hostess when we arrived, even though we arrived close to their closing time. We were offered a choice of seating (near the live band or in a quieter corner). The table was very comfortable. Our waiter was super friendly. The menu was incredibly diverse. The sushi offering was amazing. My husband had the fish and chips, I had the meatball sub, and we split sushi. Everything was AMAZING, especially the chicken tortilla soup, which they allowed my husband to sub instead of a salad! The manager/owner (not sure) came to talk to us as we were finishing. Such a nice guy. If I'm anywhere near the area again, I will definitely visit again! Best restaurant experience of our entire vacation.

The best part of our experience at Marie's was the humorous karaoke. The best performers were Tiffany, Greg and Pam. The chicken alfredo? Not so much. Entrees slightly overpriced. Sushi was decent.

Staff was really friendly and the food was good. Fish was a little over cooked but the shrimp and rice was excellent!!

What a great dinner! We were greeted at the door by the charming owner, and were treated like cherished family for our entire visit. Everything we ordered, no matter how varied (grouper, both fried and grilled; sushi rolls and egg rolls; mushroom soup; and chicken tenders for a picky kid) were freshly prepared, juicy, and flavorful. Even my father, who is sparing with compliments, said it was a great restaurant choice. No higher praise, in my opinion!

We threw away three meals out of six, and were all disappointed. Also, the food was very over priced. It was a meal wasted on our vacation.

Had take out. Ordered burger, sushi, and lollipop shrimp. Burger was ok but lollipop shrimp was good. Sushi was good too. Would go back next time vacationing in area.

I was definitely skeptical given the name of this restaurant (I do not know any Asians named Marie - lol), but luckily that was alleviated from the first bite and beyond. We came for happy hour, but also ordered off the regular sushi menu as well. It was so good that we actually even came back later in the evening for Karaoke which turned out to be a wild & fun evening. The spicy tuna roll and da bomb roll were amazing - an absolutely must! The shrimp mediterranean salad was delicious as well. This is a local favorite with great service and the owner Hanny is very attentive. The only thing that is holding this place back from a 5 star is the pizza. It wasn't good at all - seemed like it was frozen and bought on discount at the supermarket. Hopefully, they will fix that soon.

We had a delicious meal at Marie's tonight. Marie and her brother have created a great comfortable environment that is the polar opposite if many of the tourist traps on the coast. At first I was concerned by the diversity of the menu, but when the meals came all of the dishes were delicious - Wasabi Tuna, Grouper, Fish Tacos and Sushi. We will make this a regular stop when we come back to the beach.

I assume the gentleman who waited on us was the owner. He was VERY nice. Offered seconds on the soup, which was a chicken tortilla and it was GREAT. I have never had fish tacos and theirs were wonderful. Wish we could have come back for the evenings entertainment. My husband had the blacken grouper sandwich which was cooked perfect and seasoned well. We will be back.

The wife and I came to this location based on our friends recommendation to have one last brunch on our last vacation day. Its located off 30-A and was very convenient for us. When we got there, there was no one there, but that was okay since it was during the week and at 10 am in the morning, which I am sure it too early for anyone that is on vacation. They had plenty of sittings and the was clean. The waitress came out with coffees for us and we order our breakfast. I had the locks and bagel and the wife had the biscuits and gravy with a bowl of fruit. I have to say the smoked salmon was wonderful and fresh with no fishy smell at all. The wife however was just freaking awesome. Though it is just biscuits and gravy... we need to emphasize that it was made from scratch biscuits.. I haven't had biscuits like this in a long time. Pillsbury dough boy should be embarrassed after they try the biscuits here. It was just wonderful. The waitress took good care of us, and it was a great way to end our beach vacation in Santa Rosa Beach. props to the waitress and the fantastic biscuits(I know, weird that I would be goo goo ga ga over some biscuits).

This place was wonderful! The owners were a lot of fun to talk with, the selection of food was quite nice, and very well prepared. Our party of 7 chose a good variety of foods like sushi, meatball subs, pizza, and burgers. The burger is a half-pound burger and was very well prepared. The sweet potatoe fries were excellent! The sushi was very good and well prepared. No one left a single scrap of food on their plates it was so good! Service was great and the people were so nice and a lot of fun. Great sense of humor! ! Oh, and they accept credit cards!!

First time visitor to the area, and I stumbled onto this gem trying to find vegitarian options. The owner was ENORMOUSLY FRIENDLY and helpful. He offered suggestions for lunch and since it was Pho Thursday, that's what I had. My daughter had the vegi spring rolls (excellent) and warm from the oven baklava. The service can't possibly be beat. I don't remember the last time a waiter placed my napkin for me, but I certainly wasn't expecting that from a beachy resturant. The food was warm and delicious. The restrooms were clean and parking was a breeze. I would refer a friend to eat there...next time I'm gonna try their Cuban!

Welcome to summer time in SW Florida, where the air is thick with humidity and you feel like you are floating in a surreal world. Marie's Bistro answered our call for brunch when other places slammed us down with ridiculous wait times. We had their fish special and it was really good. The salad was fresh and the fish was fishy. Sitting outside in the patio area it surprisingly was not hot at all. Cheap sake! And she topped us off. I likey like.

Save your time - Horrible... I was hoping for it to be better. Went there with my husband for Brunch, Shabby, dirty, greeted by what appeared to be owner dirty shirt, apron. Not very happy ... My husband had Buffet-- was COLD and Old....I had Eggs Benedict potatoes cold Hollandaise cold and separated, lumpy... No concern about buffet at all - waiter was nice Owner never even bothered with us Music was good :-)

Wow.. I have been to this place several times I have sushi, pasta, fish, eggs and etc. breakfast lunch and dinner. It's a must stop for us. Love the food and the owners are great will to accommodate her needs.. You can't go wrong with this choice.

Marie's Bistro catered my daughter's wedding reception and they did an amazing job. I would highly recommend them as they were flexible, honest and very accommodating with anything we wanted to serve. They did a great job serving all the guests and making sure everyone had anything and everything they needed to eat and drink.

We love Marie's! We first discovered it a couple of years ago and during our one week stay in Ft. Walton Beach, drove out to Santa Rosa Beach three times to have dinner there. My husband kept ordering off the specials menu and was thrilled every single time. I jumped around the main menu and had the sushi. Everything was excellent. The owners were delightful and warm. Fast forward to this year: we are here again and returned last night for dinner. As we walked in the door, the owner recognized us! He remembered our daughter and remembered how much I love sushi! We felt like old friends. Plus, we had another excellent meal. Husband once again ordered from the specials and had the red snapper in a sauce made of avocado, lime, and hollandaise. It was outstanding. The sushi continues to be really solidly done; my three year old even wanted some! We will be returning this week and in the years to come!

My wife and I had a great meal there last Friday evening. Great food. The owners are very friendly and the service was great.
(4)Robert S.
The food was excellent, but the service could have been a lot better. Me and my dad where there by ourselves with maybe 3 other tables in the building and it took them forever to get our bill and do other simple tasks. The meatball sub I had was wonderful and my dad said the same about the shrimp poy boy.
(3)Drew B.
Fantastic Food. Lots of specials going on, so its easy to get a good deal. The sushi rocks. A pretty diverse menu, so you can keep even the pickiest losers in your party satisfied.
(5)West S.
Local hang out! Great food and the best music on 30-A. The owners are always there to make sure you're dining and entertainment experience is at the utmost highest level. If you go once you will be back.
(5)Rose K.
Had lunch today, fish tacos were the best ever! The seared tuna was excellent too. Great place with very friendly staff.

I am a local and go to Marie's Bistro regularly. I have been more than satisfied with any meal I've ever had at Marie's. I'm always excited to take friends and family there when they're in from out of town, and they always want to go back before they leave because it was their favorite place of the trip! We love the sushi, the daily specials, Pho for lunch on Thursdays, happy hour specials, Sunday brunch, Matt Hall (the guitarist), Hanie, Marie, Chef, Shelly, Mike and all the rest of the staff. They are a hard working bunch who will bend over backward to accommodate. The menu is so extensive, everyone in your party - old and young - will find something they love. It is also the most reasonably priced place on 30A, and for the quality of food and service you receive, you can't beat it!!!
(5)Richard B.
We were greated by the friendly and accomodating owner. Inexpensive prices for food and booze. The food quality is commensurate with the pricing. The main dining area is very noisey but there is another room available which is quieter. Festive atmosphere with live entertainment.
(3)Gary B.
Great food and the folks are faboulous. Hanie is the best. Give it a try
(5)Joe A.
Hanie is the best. Sushi was great. Cucumber salad was a bit bland. Overall wonderful meal. Guitar player, Matt Hall, was really good. Hire him for a small party
(5)Trey H.
they definitely live up to the wording on the door here. being a first timer I showed up after breakfast was done being served and without hesitation the made me bacon and eggs. if you're ever in the area Maries Bistro is a must
(5)Beau R.
Best kept secret on 30A. Food is incredible. Service is impeccable (literally my 2 year old dropped his fork and before I could pick it up they were handing me another one). Only complaints....need a better beer selection and that we did not find this place sooner.
(5)Carl J.
Ahhh Marie's. Quite a pleasant surprise. Especially the menu. The first thing that jumped out to me is the sushi menu. I had their Bistro roll which is shrimp temperura topped with a sort of tuna and salmon tartar on top of a creamy shrimp sauce. Also, I had their Spicy Tuna roll which was the best spicy tuna roll I've ever had. Careful though, the name lives up to it's reputation! I also had their special of the day: Amberjack Oscar which was a pan seared amberjack, locally caught of course, fillet with hollandaise and white asparagus atop a bed of mixed vegetables and rice. I was very impressed with how fresh everything tasted, even the side of veggies. This place is very stern on fresh and new homemade items. Also, they have homemade soups created daily by Marie herself! I had their Chicken Florentine and it was superb. My nephew couldn't get enough of his 2 cups after his Spaghetti, and he's only 1 years old! The ambiance is more of an upscale, intimate dining experience in the main dining room. I've only been there at night and every time they have live music or some sort of entertainment. Oh and they have a full bar, score! Can't wait to get back!
(5)Briggitte C.
AWESOME! The service was exceptional and the food was amazing!!! My boyfriend got the Glazed tuna which was super fresh and perfectly done. We also got spring roll starters, sushi and bread pudding which was also amazing! The owner and the waitress were super nice. After wards we went for a stroll on the beach which was only 1 block away. If we lived closer it would be a regular spot for us.
(5)Betsy C.
We are finishing up a week vacation on 30-A and have to say good bye to Marie's Bistro- we had several meals there and everything was delicious. Can't say enough good about it...the other reviews are spot on. The live music and happy hour prices were our favorite things. We hope to come back soon.
(5)Rich M.
I just had a great meal @ Marie's Try the tuna tartar for an appetizer. They just added it. And I had the special, which was Blacken Grouper with crawfish tails. Some of the best fish I ever had. A good, spicy Cajun flavor with a little kick. Too full for dessert, but they're all made by Marie. Give 'em a try.
(5)Douglas H.
Great food, great service! Love the sushi.
(4)Edward E.
Good food but a little on the expensive side. Go some night when the have Red (She is a great singer... funny too). Call ahead for times.
(4)Pam F.
Has a really good DJ for weekend nights. Surprised the locals don hang out there. Other than the DJ it was dead.
(3)Afthab Z.
Wow, and both sushi and regular menu is awesome.
(4)Jeff M.
Food was all good, service was excellent. Desserts were divine. This place is loud. Bar is in center of a hard surfaced room with hardwood floor. Musician was also playing while we were there. And although they claimed the tea was Lipton, all at table agreed there was an extra mystery ingredient not on the menu.
(4)Kelly K.
Food is okay and improving constantly. Service is EXCELLENT and so I naturally want to go back. I like to go where I feel welcomed.
(3)Christy K.
Not impressed. This restaurant had many different items but did not appear to specialize in anything. At our table, we had the Mediterranean grill (not impressed), chicken Parmesan (not impressed), fish tacos (not good), spicier tuna roll (average to below average) and a spring roll, which was actually very good. Kids chicken fingers looked four days old, were very dry and even the kids wouldn't eat them. Another child had Gordon's out of the box shrimp. The regulars singing karaoke scared us even more. We were hoping for fresh seafood. Based on our review, you may want to stick to the sushi menu as the other items were not good at all. Fish tacos were very bland and somewhat fishy. Food, based on the quality, was extremely overpriced. Have no problem paying for a good meal but this was not it. Stay away. Would not recommend.

Wonderful surprise! We've been coming to this area for 20+ years and I have no idea how we missed this gem! The service was fantastic and the food very good. Sushi was quite tasty. We will be back!
