Standard Red Lobster but our server was on top of things. John was able to handle of five top which included a 4 month old and 2 year old. We ordered the Lobster Bake and made our own combination. My mom had the stuffed Tilapia and loved it. Biscuits were amazing as usual. I would have rated it 3 stars for average food but John was so great (did I mention he brought a hot glass of water to heat the 4 month old's bottle and engaged appropriately with the 2 year - just enough to make my son happy but not too much so he got overly excited)- John gets the extra star from my family.

I had a lot of time to kill, and a hankering for fish. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in years, so I thought, what the hell. The food was ok. I know Red Lobster isn't upscale, so I knew what I was getting into. The atmosphere was old. Old people everywhere. A table across the way from me was talking really loud about World War 2, and where they were when it was going on. I forget the name of the server, but she did an outstanding job. Really friendly (but not creepily so), perfect timing on the drink refills, and overall just nice. Won't be going here again for a loooong time. Unless I want to hear more war stories.

I went there for my birthday. It was the worst birthday outing ever. The server ( some loser with glasses ) was obviously too new to be a waiter, and after ordering from the menu, he only brought us 3 Biscuits in a 30 minute time. The only thing we could consume was the ice left in our cups. The food was lousy. The atmosphere is very bland, feels almost like an upscaled McDonalds. I bet you're curious of what we left the "waiter" for a tip. A PENNY. And so far...that's what I think RL is worth.

Ask for Tiffany or Michael. They both have vibrant personalities and attentive service that complements your dining experience. The oysters are great and the management is top notch. They assure consistent quality.

So when my kids call me "old" I come here to eat. I feel young as most of the patrons fall into the very elderly category. Which is perfectly fine with me as I don't mind parking aside land yachts and it is pretty quiet in there. The food is the standard Red Lobster style food. Unless you get lobster the seafood isn't fresh so if you want that then I would suggest going somewhere else. The service on the few times I have been is okay. To be honest I only go for the biscuits and the mudslides.

This has to be the most arse backwards Red Lobster I have ever been to in my entire life! We were having a birthday get together for a family member. 1. We called ahead to place a reservation since we had a good sized party and we wanted to make sure there would be enough room for us. We were told by the host that its first come first serve (Ive never went to a Red Lobster( Ive been to over 100 different ones) that wouldn't let a person reserve for a party, especially for a birthday get together!)Then It gets better, A couple of people within the party arrived and tried to be seated for our party (Since its 1st come 1st served) and they were told that 1/2 of the party has to be present when trying to reserve for a party..... Upon the rest of the party arriving, there were 2 servers for a 9 person party (Ive been a server before and have had a 15 person table with other tables and managed more than fine by myself). Everyone ordered Drinks and appetizers. Well all the drinks were not brought out at the same time ( Server etiquette 1101), which they should have been. Empty plates weren't taken off the table without having to lift the plates, empty glasses off the table to hand to the servers. The servers kept blaming the other one for a mistake that they made, while the whole time going behind the line giggling and also talking loud enough for anyone with common sense, better yet a former server of fine dining for over 20 years knowing that they did not want to take the blame for their own mistakes.... The birthday girl ordered steak (Do you think that the A1 sauce was automatically brought out or even asked when the steak was ordered " what type of sauce would you like to go with your steak???".... If you guessed no then your spot on! Someone else at the table had to mention it to the server... Someones soup did not get brought out with appetizers as well. Not to mention, when all the entrees hit the table... You guessed it! The server "Put someones order in wrong" , so by the time the person in our party received their meal, everyone else was almost done eating! This place was far from busy! A total of 7 tables(I counted over 40 tables in this place) spread within the restaurant , with these tables having 1-3 people at the most and a plethora of servers, most standing around in corners fiddling with phones, laughing and just being very un professional. If you want to try this place? Be prepared to pay a premium of a former restaurant that used to be high class which is trash now.... We were not the only ones dis satisfied with the service. Actually we were warned by several people leaving the place saying that this place had the worst service that they had ever experienced! I personally would never return to this place again- Along with everyone that was within my group, 1 member of this group being the Mayors aunt... Way to go!!!

We hadn't been to a Red Lobster in several years because their food was just going downhill. It was all just average, except for the biscuits, but a girl can't live on biscuits alone! Ok...I can....but I shouldn't. But, for some reason, I was having a craving for shrimp so I suggested we go since we were nearby. I was so pleasantly surprised!! They've apparently re-worked the menu and the food choices were fantastic. I had a difficult time deciding what to get. Everything tasted great! (this is the downfall of writing a review two weeks later....I can't remember what dishes we had....I hate getting older...but I DO remember how my husband and I both gushed over how good everything was). If you haven't been to Red Lobster in awhile...maybe give it another try!

I will never in my life go back to this place!! The service sucks, servers stand around and are disrespectful. We went with a group and had the worst experience EVER! What so called fine dining place does first come first serve or tells people that are apart of a party that they have to have over 1/2 of the group present in order to be seated? Really? Pushy and lazy servers ( who almost not once but 3X drop food on the people within my group!).

Good fresh food. Never really had a problem with this location when it comes to freshness and service. A few servers bring their problems to work and you can tell... but others are very happy to please. Only thing is their clam chowder has no taste, very tiny cubed potatoes and very few tiny.clams its like clam cream broth lol. Cambells soup is better. But other than that this is a good place for seafood in sanford.

Went day before Mother's Day. I hadn't been in a while, what a shame! We waited less then 5 minutes, the people where fantastic! Nathan was our server, he was so awesome! We really loved the experience. everything was great, food, service, the place is very clean. Even though there where some parties going on we did not find it to be overly loud. Ask for Nathan, he will do everything he can to make you happy, he is super polite, friendly, very helpful. Service with a smile. Thank you for making our experience that much better!

9-11-15 Hubby and I have a date every Friday night. This evening we decided on Red Lobster because they were having their shrimp fest. My hubby loves shrimp. We chose the Sanford location as hubby was not happy at our last visit to the Daytona beach venue last time we went there. When we arrived they were packed with a 30-45 minute wait time. The weather was not too hot so we decided to wait. Luckily our wait time was only around 10 minutes from check in time, which seemed like a good start. We ordered our drinks when seated. We each ordered water and I ordered a Bahama something-or-other cocktail. The glasses of water arrived promptly with the cheddar biscuits. I went for the water right away and was instantly turned off by a gritty substance covering the glass. I caught the waitress and asked her if she could bring me another and showed her the dirty glass. She returned fairly quickly with my replacement, which was dirtier than the first, I apologized for having to ask her again. (I still had not gotten my cocktail yet). After what seemed like forever she arrived with another glass of water and told me that all the glasses were coming out sandy so she washed me one by hand. I thanked her profusely and promised her that her tip would reflect her extra effort. My cocktail finally arrived along with hubby's salad and my soup. All of which were tasty and well made. My lobster bisque soup had a lot of lobster, which is unusual. We ordered our dinners which did not come out for quite a long time. The menus were sticky and made a peeling sound when you unstuck the pages from each other. I kind of blew it off at the time, but it seems worth mentioning now. I did not see anyone standing around, looking at cell phones, or gossiping as other reviews stated. There were a lot of servers and they were all running around like crazy bringing out food, drinks, and cleaning tables. I did not see anyone shirking duties. They all seemed busy. Our food arrived. My husband ordered the AYCE shrimp dinner and ordered the shrimp scampi and the teriyaki grilled shrimp. We were told that he could re-order only 1 from then on and could order the next serving when they were delivered. He was given his plate and never given the chance to order his next one. I ordered the Admiral's feast which is one of my favorites. I pulled out my silverware which was very spotty and had to wipe it off before using it. I definitely think they need to update their dishwasher, dish detergent, or something in that kitchen. Ick. I tried not to think about it. Well, it took hubby all of 2 minutes to wipe out all of the (small) shrimp on his plate, so I gave him my scampi and my fried shrimp off my plate. He ate them and continued to wait. He was highly insulted and was sitting there just fuming. The server finally came back and asked if we needed anything else, as if she had forgotten he had ordered the AYCE platter. We told her that she never took his follow up order and that he had eaten all of my shrimp while waiting for her to return to take his order. We expected they would replace my shrimp since he had to wait so long for his and had eaten all of mine. Nope! He ordered another scampi since he could only order 1 at a time now. When it was delivered, it was not the standard baked scampi with cheese melted on top. No, it was some small cocktail shrimp, cold, not hot, thrown into a dish of the scampi butter sauce. My husband ate those, complaining the entire time. When she finally returned, he ordered another scampi and asked if he could get the "regular" baked kind and not the cheesy little cold shrimp just thrown into the sauce. She said she couldn't do that because that is how they do the reorders and that even the manager was back in the kitchen making them that way. He changed his mind and reordered the teriyaki ones. He shared them with me since I didn't get any shrimp. By the time she came back to take his next order he was so disgusted, he didn't want to do anything but leave. As far as my meal goes, I got the asparagus as my side, and thinking they would be steaming it, asked that it be cooked a little longer so that it would be soft, since I have no teeth at this moment. When it came out, they had grilled it. It was tiny baby asparagus, which should have been awesome and tender, but they had grilled it to death and it was practically crispy. I could not eat it, even though I tried. I enjoyed the rice pilaf, which came with the platter. The lobster tail was pretty good. The crab was pretty good, but on 3 of the legs, the last 2 sections had dried up to nothing and was inedible. And, I had given away my 2 shrimp dishes. I was still hungry when I was done with my meal and suggested we try dessert. My hubby said he didn't want to spend another dime in that restaurant and that he would never go there again. Needless to say, it was a disappointing evening. I guess we won't be going there again.

Yummy, my grandson ate there a few days ago. They have great service, the crab linguini is delish and of course we can't forget those biscuits.

Fantastic service, Brittany was attentive and cheerful! Jason made sure we were satisfied. The food was great, the flavors were excellent ordered clam chowder, assorted appetizers, surf and turf, ny strip steaks and rock lobsters, finished up with the apple crostada a la mode. Thank you Red Lobster for a memorable meal!

Oh Darden, thou patriarch, pariah of snobbish Foodies. Thy success predicated upon several P.T. Barnum sayings (and not necessarily the customer service ones): I have not set foot inside thy Red Lobster since I've called Florida 'home', (and Olive Garden, longer than that). How farest thou? Well, 2 weeks ago, I got to find out. I had a late conference call at work, and needed grub. And if you still think advertising doesn't work, you should know, for your own protection, that I ventured out, zombie-like, to pick up a baby "Shrimp Fest" that had been promoted on TV ad nauseum. I did the pick-two at $11.99, (pick-3 is $5 more) The verdict? (OK, pretend you hadn't seen the stars yet...) On the plus side, the stuffed shrimp actually tasted like it took a bit of care to prepare - I could taste the wine and almost see the flames. The cajun shrimp was suitably spicy, but not so much so as to scare away 99% of the population. The cheese biscuits were tasty, and the caesar was, well, not bad. The whole package came neatly in a bag that you can conveniently carry out with a smile (the environment be damed). At $12 for all of the above, it has to be considered Long-John-Silver-like in terms of value. On the negative side,,,the shrimps were overcooked, which I could somewhat overlook: it was take-out, and likely continued cooking after being boxed. Yet I doubt very much that they would have been plump and tender if I ate it right there and then. That's because they are real...SHRIMPS, as in 'small'. These were not the size of what you see in the ads, but rather, close to 51-60 territory. Someone should do a stop-action analysis of the footage in the ad, and take Darden to task if there's any false advertising. Those babies are so small it took parallel-parking skills to even "stuff" them. But the worst part was Sargent Sodium and his Soldiers of Salt crashing the party. The Biblical Lot would ADORE this place. For RL's sake, I hope it was a one-off mistake, but that entire dish was a heart-stopping, um STROKE of culinary craft. Two liters of water later, my capillaries still refused to take a pause from pulsating. I'm not even going to say much about the puddle of grease that made up the milieu of my meal. All in all, I found out I hadn't been missing that much in the last 8 years. Dare I try The Olive Garden next? p.s. Bahama Breeze hadn't been too bad.

This place is disgusting. Smelled like urine by the bar and seating area as we walked through. I feel sorry for anyone sitting in that area. I got to my table and felt the need to go to the bathroom just so I could wash my hands. Food and server were better then average. But I definitely won't be back!

No. I'm always shocked when I come to this site and see that, out of hundreds of restaurants, a chain restaurant that serves frozen food is listed as a 'best' restaurant. Red Lobster has it's good points I will admit.... I love the biscuits! And the atmosphere is cool, very Florida

Food was the usual tasty standard I expect out of any Red Lobster. We went to this location because it's easier to get to than the closer one in Orlando. The only problem was service. They were busy with the church lunch crowd but the drinks went dry and any refills took forever. Otherwise it was okay.
