Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Since the day I moved in in November last year I've never ordered any where else. I'm to scared to go elsewhere because I would regret it and know I should have just ordered from Antonio's. I have no desire to go elsewhere. Each and everyone I wish I ordered more. I'm addicted.

Came here because they had a really great deal on groupon. My friend and I split a salad, two pasta dishes, and a desert. The service was pretty slow, and I didn't understand why because we were literally the only ones in the restaurant on a Saturday night. We ordered water out of the fountain (which tasted like some sort of chemical) and took a seat. We were greeted by a palmetto bug, you know, the one that looks like a roach. So we quickly moved seats and we were on high alert. It seemed like we waited forever for our house salad, but it was good. Those are pretty hard to mess up. The garlic bread served on the side was good as well. A while after that, we were served our pasta dishes. My friends chicken pesto was... Not very good. I'm almost positive that my friends dish was microwaved. My chicken Alfredo was very mediocre. I've had better Alfredo sauce from a jar. Something was just missing from it. All in all, I wish I saved my money and just split a pizza somewhere else. This place just isn't that great and it won't be around long.

I consider myself a pizza snob. My home town is outside of Chicago and was settled by Italians. I'm not giving out props to Chicago style pizza, I'm just saying that I'm fully aware of what good pizza is.... coast to coast. What I am doing is bashing this joint. It's not terrible, it's horribly average. If your drunk, or broke...I say go for it. Otherwise- SKIP IT!! You're better off going to Wallyworld next door and doctoring up a frozen pie. Sorry Antonios Sanford, but the truth may set you free... Elliot Free.

We ate here late on a Thursday about a week ago. I was really in the mood for a calzone. #1 they asked (I think it was manager or owner serving?) if I wanted ricotta in it.?. What? It's a calzone. So I of course, said yes. #2 the calzones had marinara inside. What? I've never seen that and, like with white pizza, I may not want it. It's always served on the side. Weird. #3 the crust was strange and flaky. Just all around gross product. Both my friend and I got one and we were both very dissatisfied. They started closing up shop around us at quarter til 10p. Mopping, emptying trash, etc. was very annoying and rude. With Papa Joe's up the street, I'll never visit this place again.

If you have ever had pizza from 7/11 then you'll know what it taste like from here. Very disappointed.

It's a nice place, but we weren't impressed with the pizza for the money at all. We ordered a medium cheese, a medium Hawaiian, & a gluten free cheese pizza. The size was the same size as a medium Dominos pizza- the Hawaiian was $11.99. The gluten free was 6.99. The pizza, literally, remind us of a Pizza Hut pizza. The crust tastes and has the same feel, almost identically of the Pizza Hut crust. We aren't fans of Pizza Hut, so for us, this wasn't great. Price wise, we spent $30. So far, our fav pizza place in the area is still Giovanni's. Waiting around for some place to blow them out of the water. This place wasn't it.

This place is a cross between frozen food and walmart food...I'd you love a good pizza..you are better off getting a cheap frozen pizza than eating hear...I'm italian...and the food here was horrible. I bought a groupon and was very sad I wasted money eating here

Ordered the extra maxima to be picked up, it was ready in 10 minutes. I was really intrigued by having chorizo as a pizza topping, it was really good, it gave it a very nice kick, and it had generous amount of toppings that kept falling off after each bite.

$62 and an hour later on a big order and our hopes are held high. Recently moved here from the northeast where Italian is a way of life. Pizza is good. Good dough good meats. Not the best but good stuff. Mozzarella sticks should be taken out back and shot. Whomever thinks the picture I am included are mozz sticks should hang up their apron. Cheesecake was store bought and clearly previously frozen as was the tiramisu. My wife ordered a chicken salad with no mushrooms that can with a bunch of mushrooms. Minus the mushrooms she is pleased with it. Bruschetta was great. Good size great flavor nice crisp. Hats off for that. If the food arrived not slightly above room temperature this would have been a positive experience. For $62 (tip included) a free 2liter of soda would have been nice but not necessary. Called us once to confirm address. All in all with the amount of pizza joints to choose from it might be a year or two before we cycle back to Antoninos to give them a second try.... Oh wait we are moving to Mt Dora in April so probably not gonna happen.

Antonio's left a flyer on my door with some delivery specials, so after a long day we took them up on it. The crust was thicker than I like on the pizza, it reminds of Pizza Hut Deep Dish. The flavor was much better than Pizza Hut. We had a 4 cheese and a bacon and ground beef, both were really good. We also tried a special of Lasagna and it was pretty good also.

Menu items are different on the wall and at the counter. I was overcharged by the cashier for my Combo #6. FYI; there are two #6 combos...I got the 2 medium one topping combo for $15.99. I was billed for $15.81 plus two more toppings that I thought came with the combo. Apparently one topping means one topping for both pizzas which cost $1.59 more. When I brought up my concern with the manager that I was overcharged for my meal he then proceeded to explain to me that one topping meant one topping. I said there are two pizzas on combo #6. Due to my lack of command of the English language I was thinking that two medium one topping pizzas would mean you could choose a different topping for each pizza but I am wrong. First and last time I will go to this place for anything. Don't waste your money here the pizzas sucked. We should have stayed home and had Digiorno frozen pizza.

Ordered delivery, because I'm stuck in my office, and spoke to a wonderful lady at this place. She was thorough and concise, as I was pressed for time, and knew nothing about the restaurant. She convinced me to try her famous calzones, and boy she did not fail to impress. It was different than most other calzones as it didn't have ricotta in it. However that did not take away from its delicious, thinner style goodness. And their homemade tomato sauce was packed with spicy flavor. Big hit, thanks guys!

Great food, great service! Super friendly people. I'll be back!! I thought the combos were a great value. $6.99 for a chicken parm sandwich, fries and a drink. Less than fast food.

Anothet outstanding dinner . We just counted 13 other Italian restaurants that are less than 5 minutes from our house. None of them come close to the value and great food at Antoninos

This is an excellent pizza restaurant in Sanford. The staff was friendly and I was extremely satisfied with the food here as it was my first time visiting. It is highly recommended.

My family was famished when we decided on this establishment. We ordered a small pizza, chicken parm and meatball parm. Pizza was okay but we did not care for the thick crust. Chicken parm was all wrong. It was a grilled chicken breast sliced up with tomato sauce on toasted bread.. Who messes up on chicken parm? I didn't try the meatball parm but my husband only ate half. We will not be returning. Staff was great, but it doesn't matter when the food is horrible.

Hard to find a good vegetarian pasta dish but Antonino's Past Primavera is beyond good! It's incredible! The homemade Pomarada sauce is to die for. Go and eat and live!
