Courigans Irish Pub is a culinary disaster. We arrived early to get a bit to eat before our Segway tour. We had had a somewhat dismal experience there several weeks ago when the tour was rained out. At that time we tried the pizza which was less than good. This time the hamburgers took forever to arrive. My wife's, ordered medium, was so rare we were surprised it did not moo. It was more like tartare than a cooked hamburger. My bother-in-law grilled chicken sandwich was raw on the inside. We had to have it returned and reordered. Needless to say, we will never ever eat there again and would caution anyone else to avoid this place as well.

Absolutely LOVE this bar. Daily Happy Hours! Plenty of beers on draft and quite a selection of liqours. They have a small area with a dart board and on Wednesday nights at 730pm they have Trivia! Have been a regular here since moving to St Pete and will be till I move.

This is my husband's new happy hour restaurant. They have drafts for $2 from 3-7 pm and that is really reasonable - one of the best deal in DTSP. The only food we've tried from here is their Irish Potato Soup and it was very good. They actually had fresh cut bacon on top! The ambiance was pretty good and for the most part they played Irish music. Their entrees were a little expensive than what we want to pay - that's why we haven't eaten dinner here yet. However, this place is pretty good to just sit down and hang out for awhile.

First of all, if you go, go on a Friday or Saturday night, as you'll probably hear some pretty good Irish singers. If you go on a night when Guinness or J.J. are playing, you're guaranteed a good time. Oh yes, the food and drinks. Looking at the most important first, of course, Courigan's has a fully-stocked bar along with a fair variety of beers on tap, including Guinness and Smithwicks (as befitting an Irish pub). The bartenders are always friendly and will quickly get to know you if you go regularly (when I used to go there every other weekend or so, I'd often find a glass of Guinness already being poured for me within a few seconds of walking in the door). The menu is standard bar fair, but everything I've had has been quite tasty. I usually order a Reuben (to counteract the heart-healthy effects of the Guinness) and fries (just to piss off my doctor), both of which hit the spot quite nicely on a late Saturday night singing along to some great Irish songs with some good friends.

Best local pub in St Pete. Great staff, good food & quality clientele. Had the prime rib the other day and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Also, this place is home to the best Guinness in St Pete. The staff really knows how to pour them. Nice place to catch a game, a beer a bit or to start your pub crawl with friends.. A definite hidden gem in DTSP

As a single man, I prefer to drink alone. I like to meet new and random people and converse about things such as fine cheeses and foreign economies. And while I was a bit overdressed in a corduroy jacket and silk cravat, I still felt welcomed at what was a nice, quaint Irish-themed establishment nestled in the base of the Bayfront Tower at the Southern tip of Beach Drive. As I sat down, I was warmly greeted by a lovely girl named Sarah and her even lovelier counterpart named Jeffy Weffy. Mr. Weffy has ambitions of starting his own establishment one day and it only took a few tilts of the distilled spirits to see that passion in his pouring. I suggested that J Wef, as I colloquially called him, should have a drink special called the J bomb (instead of car bomb). I can assure you that many a chuckle and the appreciation of alliteration of Jager and Jeffy was not lost. I perused the selection of fine American craft beers and found an India Pale Ale to my liking, which was pedestrian as they had so many from which to select. My attentions then turned to the television as they were showing a sporting event with a funny shaped ball and men in tiny shorts. I was told that this was Australian Rules Football. I asked the fair Sarah how the game was played and sat in amazement as every rule was clearly explained to me. No running of the ball? Delightful! Upon asking her how she came upon these rules, she informed me that not only did she live abroad carefully absorbing the rules, but the love of the sport as well. In fact, my instruction was later tested as she quizzed me in front of other curious patrons. After a few ale's, it was time to depart. I waved fondly at Sarah and Mr. Weffy as I knew that I would see them both again soon. My time was very pleasant and they were both a delight. But more importantly, the Sydney Swans beat Port Adelaide 94 to 84.

Went back here a couple months ago and had a much better visit. They had a good selection of beers and our server/bartender was very friendly and good with suggestions. Until shift change, when the obligatory bimbo came on duty and apparently was more interested in eating her carrot sticks then actually waiting on customers. We opted for the French onion soup,($4.50) which was some of the best French onion soup we've had. Also tried the corned beef poppers,($8.5) which were really good as well .Better than the Rueben rolls at the other Irish place downtown. Not being able to decide between the pizza or a burger we got both. His burger ($9)was nicely chargrilled and served on an English muffin. Really good flavor I've been craving a good chargrilled burger every since. The pizza($11.50) we got was the Mediterranean pizza with grilled chicken, fresh basil, two cheeses and a balsamic reduction. Quite good, get it without the balsamic if you're not into that. Good food, semi good service, very casual place, limited seating though. Id recommend going on off hours if you want to avoid the crowd

So if you have ever been to the Saturday morning market you might have gotten a bit parched. This is a great little pub if you need a cold beer or a bloody Mary or even an Irish Whiskey flight this is the place. The service is good, my only complaint of this bar is the location it is located at the southend of Beach dr if you are at Sat morning market is in the perfect spot, however, it is a small hike if not. The food is decent pub grub.

This place is quite and quaint to say the least. We were just walking by and swung in. We both got a beer and a burger. I got the California turkey burger and he got the big boss burger. My burger was awesome and the burger was cooked perfectly. He must of enjoyed his because before I could look up it was gone. Our server was awesome and she did an amazing job with us. I highly recommend going in and getting a beer. They have tons of craft beers on draft!

The only redeeming quality with Courigan's is their BREAKFAST SHOT. Why, you ask? Because they give you a damn hot shot of bacon with it. It truly is amazing and worth coming back for, again and again. Other than the shot, this place can sink along with the "million dollar" pier as far as I'm concerned. The staff is attentive, but a little air-headed. The walls are covered in Irish-looking shit to make the place FEEL "Irish." And they don't have any clue on how to make an old fashioned. They put tonic in there? WHY??? It tasted like shit. When I sent mine back, the server looked CONFUSED, as if I was violating some cocktail ethics code by asking for it without the soda water. I'll probably be back, but just for the shot and to keep it moving.

They get 5 stars for having Crispin cider. Good food, great prices, friendly service!

Went there because we were looking for a place to do Happy Hour that had a TV. When we sat ourselves, we waited for a few minutes before a server told us "I guess I can wait on you- what do you want to drink?" We ordered beverages, which were good, and the pretzel bites & beer cheese, also good. Only problem is- we didn't see her again until my mom went to the bar to find our tab. We all would have ordered another round, but she didn't check back with us. It says Irish Pub outside- I guess that means you name a bunch of drinks after places in Ireland and hang Guinness & Jameson paraphernalia on your walls. Missing the point of the Irish Pub...

Not really an Irish pub. Maybe it could call itself an American pub with some Irish decor? Had food here that was less than authentic, but wasn't horrible. It's priced fairly. They have a good selection of beers and drink specials. Overall, not a place of run to or run from-- it was just average.

I love this place. I've been coming here for 8 years, and it just keeps getting better. The food has always been good. The menu is a good size, and I have yet to eat something I didn't like. The beer selection is pretty large. The bar staff here are great. They do a great job of handling large groups and getting a beer isn't a problem on a busy night. They often have live music. Just one of my favorite bars.

I'd classify this as another one of the little hole-in-the wall places of St. Pete. This is a pretty chill place with lots of space and a good place to grab a good lunch. The prices are decent and the pizzas are one of the best things on the menu. Now, if you are looking for a good place to drink with friends and get some good drunken fried food, then this too is the place to go. Featuring a "mug" club and a pretty good Irish feel, Courigans' offers live music, some TV's to watch your favorite game, and even a couple games to keep you busy. I've always had good interactions with the friendly staff and the location is out of the busy and craziness of the middle of downtown. A hidden gem and a must try!

Visiting from Orlando and so glad we stumbled onto this place! Great menu, fantastic domestic and craft beer selection and a terrific bartender/wait staff. So happy we stopped in and would go out of our way to do so again next time we are in town. Terrific tavern atmosphere with friendly faces. Try it!

This is a great local place, if you live near downtown St. Pete you need to get in there. It has a better than average selection of beer, and drafts are set at a very reasonable price. Great place to watch a baseball game or listen to live music. The menu is standard for a bar and the food is good, I have never been disappointed when I have ordered. Usually I go for a quick beer or two but when I do get food it is always good. You can have a nice time, have a few beers and get out of there for under $20. If you eat maybe $25, depending on how much you care to drink, of course.

This is a wonderful spot.Went end with co workers once .............went in again and Katie remembered what I was drinking from 2 weeks ago........All the bartenders there are great.......... The Happy hour deals are great. And I was sold on the mug club that they have there. This is my number one bar to attend.
