My favorite Chinese takeout in Tampa. No frills, just a standard menu with really good prices and very reliable food. Their customer service at first left much to be desired but now that I am a regular, they seem happy to see me. When I walk in, they immediately ask if I want the "beef and broccoli." That is saying something - probably about me too.

Having lived in its neighborhood, I used to eat here quite often and truly liked it. Haven't eaten here in about a year. I went back there because of loyalty. Disappointed. Rude service, food just mediocre. Think this could be my last time.

Good food and I would have given more stars if it wasn't for the service. The people are cold and unfriendly! Shockingly bad service. But fast and good typical Chinese food.

The only Chinese food joint in the Bay area that I lose my damn mind over. They're delicious. It's NY style, so don't expect your tastebuds to take a trip around the world when you feast upon their awesomeness. They're fast. Every time we've called in an order, they always tell us "Okay, ten minute!" Don't underestimate that. You food is ready for you to come pick up within ten minutes. They have really great lunch specials. Very generous portions. They're not rude, but they're not personable either. I'm not looking to have an in depth conversation about physics when I go to pick up food, and you shouldn't either. Also, their General Tso's isn't very spicy. However, they will spice it up for you upon request.

Food is great. Customer service is horrible. I do not like calling to order good because it sounds like you are just a nuisance for calling. But I like the food enough to keep going back. I guess that's all that matters in the end.

Not a fan of NY style so if you are, this may be the place for you. For me, this was the worst Chinese I've had. Everything was swimming in grease. Sauces shouldn't like like an oil spill. I have a large family so when we order Chinese, we order many items and no one was happy with what we got from here - Sorry, we won't be back.

Used to be good but last several times has tasted old, not fresh, oily and just terrible. Try china fun on big bend, it's worth the extra 15 min drive.

I go here out of convince. The food is pretty good. It would probably taste better if the one young wasn't so rude. His customer service skills absolutely stink. I will boycott the place for months because of his service. The girl is nice but I rarely get her. If you are hungry and looking for some decent CF, this place should suffice.

I bought at China Star today and got an excellent value and 3 excellent luncheon specials. It is Christmas Eve day so I don't know if that made a difference..I believe the luncheon specials are a better value and the dinner specials are no bigger than the luncheon and that's at all the Chinese restaurants. I have had luncheon specials at 2 other Chinese places in the last 6 mos and was disappointed at all of them..Either there was 2/3 rice and 1/3 entree or they became cheap and refused the can of soda advertised.. China Star was great. I thought the lady was friendly. The price was right, 3 luncheon specials and 2 appetizers and 2 cokes and 1 soup..$24 bucks and the containers were over flowing..Large portions of entree and rice..The rice was more white/tan than the brown I prefer but the value was still worth it.. When it comes to taste I'm not a conniseur but it was just fine to me...and plenty left over to take to work for a quick heat up at lunch...

This is one of my families frequent Chinese take-out restaurants, but I personally despise it. I've tried so many things here from General Tso Chicken, Orange Chicken, Beef with Brocolli, Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Mongolian Beef, Sesame Chicken, Honey Chicken, Fried Shrimp...If it's on the menu, I've probably tried it. Their food never tastes that great and the chicken doesn't really taste like chicken...I spent forever on New Years looking for another place to eat, but of course the Chinese place was the only one open. I'd rather go with P.F. Chang's or the Cheesecake Factory's Chinese dishes than order from here.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
