OMG. Loved this spot. On the water (inter coastal) with outside or indoor seating and a nice bar with some fabulous TVs to watch a game. I prefer to eat on the enclosed patio/porch with water views. There are also a few chairs where you can hang out on the dock with a drink and watch boats go by (or dock your own and eat at the restaurant). Also good for kids as there are a few outdoor swinging chairs. My favorite dish - hands down the Jambalaya (extra spicy). I like mine without the cheese. Soooooooo good. The service was also great but we went early so I have no idea how they handle crowds.

We really enjoyed our dinner. We started off with the corn nuggets. They were good but probably not something we would order again. For dinner I got the grouper portobello special and hubby got the cajun shrimp pasta special. My grouper was excellent! Very good pesto that was on it as well as the grilled portobello mushroom on the side. The risotto was a little on the dry side but tasted good. Hubby said the pasta was very good with a very good amount of shrimp and sausage. If you knew him you would know that that means something for him to say that. Shane was our server and did a great job. Really wanted to give it 4.5 stars but yelp only allows whole rating. Would have given 5 stars if the corn nuggets were better in the risotto was not dry.

Loved it. Great outdoors. Come early and enjoy the relaxing view. Also come early to get the crab legs. Lots of locals, is what what makes this place feel like home

This is a hidden gem. The food is great. The happy hour is the bomb. Their martini are great. They are generous pours , none of that half empty glass junk. Outdoor seating and pet friendly. Oh , don't forget the fabulous intercostal waterway views. Great home cooked fresh fish yum

Worst meal ever! Crab augratin, recommended by the server was a dish of brown crab meat mixed with canned corn and topped with bagged shredded cheese. The vegetables served alongside were obviously from a bag of frozen mixed vegetables, soggy and lukewarm. "Homemade" clam chowder was thick and lumpy. Rice "pilaf" also looked like it was from a frozen bag mixed with peas and corn. Would never recommend this place to anyone, disgusting.

Best fried Shrimp I have ever had hands down!! I grew up in a family full of Charter Boat Captains, so I know seafood...the Grouper was superb... Did I mention the shrimp? Best Waitress ( maybe prejudiced) was Amanda...beautiful and very helpful with recommendations... Will definitely go back!!! Oh and Alan, the manager...the best!!! Had great fishing stories. Was professional and pleasant ...all around great experience...

Stopped by for lunch today with my family. The atmosphere is so different than what I'm used to in Denver... Very laid back and super friendly. We were seated right away and brought drinks. We ordered an appetizer of hot wings, seared tuna, shrimp scampi and a chicken tenders. Apps came out with the entrees pretty quick. And they came out steaming hot!! Such a great meal as we sat on their heated patio on the water and watched the boats go by. Waitress checked on us numerous time to see if we needed anything and to make sure we were enjoying our meals. Shrimp scampi wasn't too heavy, loaded with Lots of shrimp too! Seared tuna was cooked to perfection. French fries were hot and crispy. Their tiger sauce is really good too. Really enjoyed this restaurant :)

Perfect spot to go with kids!! Beautiful view of the water, quick, friendly service and yummy food. Best part was the putting green that kept my little ones entertained so that I could actually enjoy my fish tacos and DELICIOUS conch fritters!!

Go eat next door @ Palm Valley Fish Camp. LuLu's is awful. Slow service, bland, unimaginative food. If you like it average, this is your spot.

Too much fried food. Great location just crappy atmosphere and service. Owners were outside getting drunk and directing traffic. Not a fan of this place. Go next door.

This is one time where I wish they had 1/2 stars, I would give them a 4-1/2. Couldn't find them listed on Open Table to make a reservation so I phoned them directly. They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more so our group of 4 was on our own. We decided to give em a try anyway. Pretty easy to find albeit off the beaten path of A1A and Solano Rd. We made our way into the unsaved driveway and managed to find an open parking space, ahhh off to a good start. We checked in with the hostess desk which was unattended for several minutes and added ourselves to the waiting list. 35 minutes we were told and found our way over to the bar. We grabbed a round of drinks and headed out front away from the crowds. 35 minutes was obviously a guess as we were called for our table in less than 15 minutes. We were seated outside overlooking the water as we hoped so things just kept getting better. I asked our waiter if they had any specials or if he recommended anything. We placed drink orders and considered the menu options. 3 of us ordered the Grouper Ponchatrain, I had mine prepared blackened. The dish was a mixture of rice, vegetables and of course the Grouper. Spectacular! The other in our group ordered Salmon. Service was on point, drinks and dinner were great as was the company of our new friends to dine with. I would definitely go back and the menus appeared to have something for everyone!

Very enjoyable. Perfect spot on the intercostal. Little disappointed that the only parking is valet but guess you have to live with it. Beautiful lobby and staff is very courteous! Room is a little tight but nice. Nice view from room. Lots of red which for me is a bit much but very nice. Internet on phone was hard to make work. You can only have one device per room connected to the internet. Not very happy with that since we are Premier Rewards members. Even though it is nice, think I would think hard about staying here again.

Very sad review of a place I have enjoyed monthly for 3 years. After a remodeling and updated menu, I was very excited to revisit our favorite local place. It was a very important night as my kids picked the location as they will not be together again for 1-2 years due to college, military and a relo for a job. A very short list of issues - - our server was simply awful. I had to chase her down to get the FIRST serving of bread to the table which was - MOIST - it took over 30 minutes to get our food order - my daughter's meal came out wrong and the server never came back until the meal was nearly over - no apologies was provided - the food runner was polite but I asked her for more water ( since we had not seen the waitress) we received the water when we were paying The new menu has some decent items - the fish tacos were remarkable but the clam pasta was uneatable - again no one asked and our server could not be located I left my number and am interested to see if I receive a call

Stopped here for Mother's Day and to watch the TPC. Sitting outside near the water was very nice. I was happy to see it wasn't too crowed since it was so close to Sawgrass. We had a party of 10 that they were able to accommodate outside. Our server was very sweet and attentive. I love when I ask for recommendations and excellent suggestions. I had the crab cake sandwich. The crab patty was a solid size. Very impressed along with their pasta salad. It was a tad oily but had a good flavor. Jimmy had the blackened fish sandwich. I think it was grouper. I tried a few bites. Yummy. The prices were decent and the food delicious. They also have a put put area for kids to play.

Great food and love the "sitting on the porch" dining experience! They were able to accommodate our party of seven and quickly. The service was attentive and fast for a full restaurant. The food was fantastic-"you've gotta try this" was spoken at my table, repeatedly!

Grilled grouper with fresh veggies, salad, pasta- what more could you want? Not on the menu pot stickers w yummy citrus/soy/ginger sauce! Brownie sundae- large portion- just right for sharing! Rich soft brownie and generous scoop of vanilla ice cream!

We were told to go here and not expect gourmet food. It is a very nice place on the intercoastal. The service was exceptionally friendly and we really enjoyed our experience. The blackened gator was tasty but chewy as one would expect. I enjoyed the conch fritters. My wife ordered the Mahi grilled with rice and I had a combo seafood platter with fried shrimp and oysters and blackened Mahi. Everything was pretty good but salty including the oysters. A little less frying/breading and it would have been better. My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese and her French fries were much better than the overcooked hushpuppies I got. Overall a pleasant and friendly experience for a casual evening.

Delicious! My husband and I were both craving a grouper sandwich so we stopped in figuring they had to have one and it was one of the best grouper sandwiches I have had. They make their tartar sauce in house and it has the perfect amount of dill and tang. We will definitely be back!

First time as always keep expectations real... The view from the table and CJ is our server and she was very good. The wife and I ordered Shrimp Baskets came with fries and a Side of Jalapeno Poppers all so very very good. The shrimp were wonderfully fresh and everything was freshly prepared and hot when it came out. The wife had tea and i had water. All in All the entire meal was delicious then i got severe HEART BURN when I got the bill, for the above order it was $40.00 w/o tip, which for what we had was ridiculous. The wife loves this place but it is not along the same lines as the other restaurants nearby in fact a little lower class, maybe it is location location loction that dictated the price, price, price or if this could be one of those places business is not doing so well so lets increase the cost to support us going down the tubes or until Obama Care is no more. LOL I will return because the wife lves it and it was good but she will be buying in the future...If you know what I mean.

Our waiter, Jamal, did his best under the circumstances: out of prime rib and shrimp and grits which we had ordered. Then my entree was grilled instead of fried and cold side dishes. The manager came over unsolicited and tried to make it right. The bottom line was we had a great night with family with ok food. Don't know if we will be back with other fish camps to choose from.

This is an fun restaurant along the water. They have a cool little outdoor area with live music too. It seemed to me that some of the other patrons felt that we didn't belong. Maybe because were were under the retirement age? We got a lot of weird stares. But that's ok, I stared right back. I ordered the pasta of the day but since I don't eat seafood I asked for it without any of the sea creatures. It was yummy, but I was a little disappointed that I still had to pay full price even tho all I had were pasta and veggies. Oh well. My fellow dining companions all had seafood and they said it was all very good.

This place was awful. Every single thing we ordered was frozen reheated/overcooked/cold/ and just terrible. The only reason I give this place two stars is because our server was great and the manager was accommodating.

I really like Lulu's. The location is beautiful and yet the restaurant has a relaxed vibe and décor. The food is delicious...you must get the mushrooms appetizer, seriously it is one of the most unbelievable dishes I've had! My only complaint is that they apparently don't do HH on the weekends anymore, however when we were there last they told us that it started at 4pm so we stayed (we got there at 2:30) and then found out later (around 6pm) that they stopped offering it. That was a bit of a disappointment to our wallets and that there was obviously a disconnect b/n some of the staff that didn't realize this and were still telling people that they had specials. Anyways, we will be back b/c we do love it there. If you haven't been you should definitely try it out.

A-OK is most accurate for this place. The food is good. The drinks are reasonable, and can be well priced at certain times of the day. I had the prime rib, though the twice baked potato and the hush puppies were absolutely the star of the show. Service lacked, a lot. In fact they probably lost a full star on it. Sluggish and nondescript for the most part, the evening took a turn when the waitress was clearing the table and dropped a plate, an honest mistake. The issue arose due to the fact that sauce spilled all over my (now thoroughly irked) mother and the waitress not only never apologized but went back and cackled with another waitress by the cash register about the incident. The atmosphere is fantastic, even in the rain, but you should never laugh about spilling a plate all over a customer. Not necessarily a reason not to go, but like I said, just OK.

A friend recommended Lulu's to me. Outstanding place to eat. Generous drink pours, fresh seafood and the staff is friendly and attentive. The owners are nice people and this restaurant is a great place to entertain customers because of the fun atmosphere and quality food and bar. Can't go wrong at Lulu's!

I had a great time at Lulu's. We sat outside and the patio is surrounded with screens. It keeps all the bugs out!!! For starters we order alligator tail. It was delicious and kind of taste like chewy chicken. The dipping sauce gave it a little kick and I wish I had some to put my wings in back at home. I then had the Grouper PONTCHARTRAIN. A sautéed boneless chicken breast topped with a savory butter sauce & lump blue crab, served over rice pilaf with daily vegetable. Best part was the blue crab on top. I would mix a little it of it with the Grouper and it was heaven. lol. My plate was clean!

While the frequency at which I am a patron of Lulu's has died down, I still find myself here on Sunday nights enjoying life with family and friends. They pride themselves on their seafood dishes and my advice (if they have something you like) would be to stick to the specials; that's where all the good stuff is. The last time I was at Lulu's they had Chicken & Dumplings on their Sunday Supper menu. While this typically would have been what I ordered without question, having recently given up meat - other than seafood - I opted for the seared tuna over spinach with jasmine rice. So glad I did. The tuna was cooked to perfection and was so tasty. My brother and I both inhaled our tuna entrees and were quite satisfied with our order. Happy hour is the way to go. The drinks are honest and the bartenders are super friendly. Especially Alan. He's the man.

Lulu's is a great place to bring in out of town guests. Every time we have family in town we make sure to visit. The outdoor seating is beautiful. Only downside is that it can be a bit hard to find. Some favorites are: Grouper Bites - these are a delish appetizer, and their tartar sauce is divine! Huevos Rancheros - I had this the last 2 times i was there for brunch. Grecian Calamari Salad - heaping in calamari, this salad is big enough for 2.

We ended up at Lulu's when my reservation for a party of 15 at Palm Valley Fish Camp booked a month in advance and confirmed multiple times was LOST (Feel free to look up that review! It wasn't good). LuLu's Waterfront Grille SAVED my sister's bridal shower!!!!!! I can't even tell you how relieved I was when they immediately found a way to accommodate our large party. It was as if they rolled out the red carpet with customer service. We were seated and our 2 waiters were amazing (Jameel and Taryn I'm talking about you!). I haven't had that great of service on the best nights for my family of 5 at any given restaurant! Then to top off our experience, they comped the bride's meal. That kind of gesture speaks volumes to their attention to detail and the way they really care about their patrons. Lulu's has 15 local ladies singing their praises :) Go visit, you won't be sorry!

Friendly staff, casual laid-back atmosphere and good food. What could be better? As a native Floridian, it reminds me of a place that you would find years back before the invasion of strip malls and chain restaurants.....I highly recommend the New England Clam Chowder. Very good! Also the crab cake sandwich held it's own as well. In PVB where there are very few quality places to eat, this one's a keeper. Check it out!

Now that the weather's getting warmer (or wait, WAS getting warmer!) and the skies are sunny, my mind drifts back to Lulu's Waterfront Grille in Ponte Vedra. Off the beaten path, and right on the water, this mom-and-pop style seafood eatery is a great place to enjoy a brew and a seafood platter at the end of a hot afternoon. Their menu is HUGE, with everything from a Brie Plate to Fried Shrimp Baskets to Tilapia Piccatta, but I personally stick to the seafood baskets and the appetizers. (Their hush puppies and mini biscuits are amazing too!) Don't let the thrown-together look of the place fool you, though, because their prices aren't super cheap. I think what I like most about the place is how much it reminds me of restaurants back home on the Gulf Coast. Even though Jacksonville has a lot to offer seafood wise, I really miss the little shrimp shacks and oyster spots back home, and Lulu's recreates that feel for me. The service is always personable and friendly and the view is simply serene. Ahhh, I can see it now.

I would like to give this place four stars but it's not quite there. Still, this was a great little place for what it is supposed to be, a fish camp style restaurant on the water. As many have stated, it's a beautiful setting. Lot's of nature and beauty to view. It also has the basic fish camp ambiance. The parking is more ample and easier to navigate than the copycat place next door. From what I have been told from locals, the next door place has tried to piggy-back on the success of LuLu's. With that being said, they could up the quality of their beer selection. Blue Moon and Yuengling's are not exotic. But then again, this is a Florida fish camp restaurant. The menu selection was tough as everything looked amazing. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the sesame tuna. Just to prepare you, the crab cakes are deep fried. I know that many people who order them might be a bit shocked when they come out as they are expecting a different look and taste. It might not be to your liking but we loved it. My tuna was sushi grade, seared on the outside, crusted with sesame seeds, and drizzled with an aoli. The tuna was over basmati rice and there was a side of greens in some teriyaki style sauce. It worked well together. The food was pretty good and I would come back. The only complaint is that the prices were too high for the quality. My tuna dish was $25 and my wife's crab cake dish was $20. Realistically, both should have been $5-$7 less. I'm comparing this to other fish camp restaurants I have visited in Florida that were in roughly equal economic locations. If they want to be in that price range they will need to up their game.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. So much so that after eating a wonderful lunch there, my wife is planning to go back tonight for their happy hour (appetizers half price). This is a locals' place, according to our server. The food was great, as was the atmosphere. Good value!

This is a fun restaurant with no frills. After being disappointed with some of North Florida's other restaurants during a recent family vacation, we hit up Lulu's Grille. Their wings are delicious, the beer is cold, and the entrees are simple and filling. Will this meal change your life and cause you to run out and become a chef to learn the tricks of the trade? No. Will you have a delicious and reasonably priced meal? You bet. After a long day of sightseeing, what more could you ask for out of a restaurant? Great service as well. Ask for Shane.

Just had wonderful dinner here last week. Dining by the water a definite plus! Sort of old-time fish camp ambiance but with "regular restaurant" pricing! We had excellent fresh fish dishes -- salmon and grouper--wonderful sides of hushpuppies and corn fritters! Yum!! Service could have been a bit better (our table seemed to be in a no-man's land between wait stations!!), but once we addressed this the rest of the evening went quite well! Was weird having Palm Valley Fish Camp just next door!!

Every trip to Ponte Vedra we stop in for a bite at Lulu's! It's tradition! Fabulous food, friendly atmosphere and lots of inviting fun. Wouldn't be a trip without putting on the green, ring toss, water-front views, live music, family and friends and making lots of great memories! Thanks to all the staff for a job always well done! The Easterlin Family looks forward to seeing you in December and again in June for our yearly family vacation! Thanks for always making us Georgia folks feel welcome! ;)

I took my family here for dinner only because the place next door was on a LONG wait. It was our first experience and our last. The food was WAY over priced for what you get and the server was nice but was at our table maybe 4 times. I recommend it for drinks and maybe appetizers but not dinner.

Love to eat seafood when I visit Jacksonville. With the help of yelp I found Lulu's and me and my family had a great meal with friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere. Meals are not overly expensive for a seafood joint and portions are massive. The shrimp and grits, fried shrimp, and crab au gratin are great choices. We'll be back!! I have gone and made myself hungry.

Lulu's is a great example of lazy seafood. Each time I eat here I am always very surprised and disappointed when I get bad seafood from places this close to the water. Lulu's is better then some places that do the same thing, but not as good as some. In my opinion this is in the same vein as Barbra, Jean's Singletons, Caps and the sort. I would excuse this but I've been having some really great experiences at Ponte Vedra fish camp, Safe Harbor, and Sliders. One star for lazy seafood; skip and go down the road to one of the other places.

So, glad I ended up having lunch at Lulu's. I was supposed to meet my friend at a nearby restaurant for lunch, but I noticed on my yelp app that it was closed for lunch on Mondays. I was really looking forward to sitting outside overlooking the Intracoastal. I frantically began searching and saw Lulu's Waterfront Grille with nearly the same address and that it was open. Lulu's is easy to miss if you are not used to the tiny roads of Palm Valley. Luckily, I found it very easy and there was an easy parking lot to navigate. Lulu's seems to be an older house that was converted into a small restaurant with a very large screened porch that overlooks the Intracoastal waterway. We were allowed to sit anywhere, so I grabbed a table that looked overlooked the Intracoastal. Lulu's menu has a good selection of seafood and non-seafood items. It is a good choice for a diverse group of diners. I decided to have one of the Daily Specials, Cheeseburger Quiche. I really love Quiches even if Lulu's is not a place I would expect to see one. The Cheeseburger Quiche was basically a quiche with ground beef, onions and peppers. It reminded me of a dish that I would have at a good Potluck dinner. I also noticed the corn nuggets, and luckily my friend mentioned that she had not had those in years same as myself. The Corn Nuggets were amazing! The batter was very sweet like a beignet and came very hot with ranch dressing. I will definitely have the Corn Nuggets next time I come to Lulu's. If I lived closer I would probably come just to have a drink and Corn Nuggets on a nice day and relax by the water. Our waiter was also super attentive and friendly.

You come here to sit near the water, not the food. I could cook like this. My eggs benedict was small and dry and the plate was too small to cut it and i had a dull butterknife. Sounds like no big deal, but just too many annoyances for a fathers day brunch. They can fry huge shrimp, but my mom had to de-vain them all! Yuk! There aren't many places to go in Ponte Vedra, so if you don't want to cook, it might be good.

Had the Grouper and it was good! The drinks we had were also good. Overall I thought it was a good setting for 4 guys to sit down and catch up over some beer and good eats!

Our favorite dinner place when passing through Jacksonville. Good service and atmosphere. Love their screened seating area looking over the water. Great seafood with reasonable prices. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We were in town and tried to go to the fish camp next door, but without a reservation there, you're going to be waiting a long time. So we went next door to Lulu's. The food is not spectacular but it was good. My wife had the fresh catch blackened and it as particularly good. The prices are fair. Atmosphere is really low key in a good way. There was live music on the patio but it wasn't so overwhelming you couldn't hold a normal conversation. The staff was also good. Overall if you're looking for something to knock your socks off, or impress someone, this is not the place. If you're looking for a place to get a drink and decent food on a nice patio without pretense (and it looks like live music often), this is a good choice.

The best thing about Lulu's is the waterfront dining. However, it would be improved if the bar was located outside. The first drink was a Banana Havana. It was like drinking a delicious dessert. Next was a Mojito served with rock candy garnish. The decorative candy didn't make up for the bruised mint and lack of flavor. The Peach Aloha was awful. Perhaps because it was made with canned pineapple juice. The replacement drink, a Peach Cosmo on the rocks, was acceptable. The best thing we ate this evening were the Bourbon Mushroom Buttons appetizers. They were so good I wish I had ordered a steak and added the mushrooms. Our Coonass dining companion had the Shrimp Jambalaya. His assessment was that it needed filé. I had the Crab Cakes which were overcooked. The best entree was the Teriyaki Chicken. The steamed vegetables were also overcooked. Lulu's parking lot has several signs basically saying "you can't park here and eat next door." Perhaps Lulu's survives off of the overflow from next door, but they could do better.

The place has a spectacular view - that is what (I believe) they are relying on as far as patronage. It sits on the inter-coastal waterway, and at night they light up strings of twinkly lights in the trees on the patio. The food was mediocre. Our server was nice, and it was a beautiful night sitting on the patio, so I don't have complaints there. Aside from the gnats. I would go back for a late afternoon beer and snack, but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

  • Maurice H.

We have eaten here several times, so now it's time to Yelp-a-tize it. We like this place for lunch for three reasons. It is delightful to sit on the patio and watch the boats travel the inter coastal; the staff is pleasant and knowledgeable; and mostly, the food is interesting and very good. Our favorites - Bourbon Mushroom Buttons which are done in a casserole with garlic, bourbon and melted swiss cheese (enough for an entree); oysters are fresh and sweet (and 50 cents on Mondays 5pm - 10pm; and any fish dish. They have a vibrant bar scene in the evenings and are just off the beaten path. We find our way there from St. Augustine (40min) because we like it so much.

The atmosphere is fantastic and our family had a great time. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was just okay. The shrimp and grits were kind of gross; it was a huge pile of goo in a large bowl. It was completely unappetizing. Don't bother with dessert; it's basically defrosted Sarah Lee-type pies and even the kids thought it wasn't very good. We'll come back for the fun atmosphere and EXCELLENT service and hope for a better meal.

The restaurant is located on the water front and has a nice screened in outdoor eating area. The funny thing is, Palm Valley Fish Camp is immediately next door. (Disgruntled chef maybe? Apparently Lulu's chef is from First Street Cafe.) There is also an indoor eating area next to the bar and next to a piano which they have live music on Mondays 6-10PM. We opted for the outdoor seating area and started with their $13.50 seared tuna appetizer. It was blackened and the tuna was great quality. I had also ordered the $4.95 crab bisque which was a little disappointing. There were no distinct clumps of crab and the bisque had an "off" color and consistency. Being on a health kick, we ordered the $19.95 grilled grouper and the $20.95 light house amberjack. The fish was tasty and not fishy at all. It was nice and flaky but a little on the dry side. The proportion was decent to fill you up. We managed to squeeze in the $6.95 blueberry cobbler which came with 2 scoops of ice cream. So we started well, puttered midway and finish with satisfaction. Their chef offers specials every week so some days it will be good and some days will be ok. The price is ever so slightly on the above average side which is why I had to knock a star off. For those prices I would have expected more consistency. Some might find this useful: -= Summer specials (5-10PM unless noted otherwise) =- MONDAY $.50 oysters by the dozen. Live piano music (6-10) TUESDAY 1/2 price all appetizers (4-7) WEDNESDAY $3 Jose cuervo margaritas $23.95 All you can eat snow crab legs THURSDAY 1/2 price all martinis 1/2 price special wine menu by the bottle FRIDAY $18.95 Slow roasted prime rib dinner SATURDAY 11-5 $.50 lulu's mini slider burger - wings 1/2 price $2.50 corona, blue moon, yuengling or a buket of 5 a $10 SUNDAY Ala carte brunch 2 for 1 mimosas & cicadas (11-2) $12.95 Old fashioned southern supper

The service was very good. Friendly hostess and server was great at keeping our drinks filled. Apparently we were very thirsty! The food was pretty good. The presentation wasn't especially pretty but wasn't ugly or anything. The crab cakes are basically straight crab with no filler which we really enjoyed!

If you love dining overlooking water and/or nature, then you'll love Lulu's! The seafood is great, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Great for drinks and/or food - don't miss out. If you have a chance then make your way over to Lulu's!

Had dinner tonight at LuLu's. Overall the experience was pleasant but a bit overpriced. We had a few drinks (a great monitor for me and a very subtle but good pomegranate martini for the wife) and an appetizer consisting of the deviled crab bites, smoked fish dip and conch fritters. The fish dip was average and was offered with a weak hotsauce to help give it some flavor. Alone by itself it would be disappointing. The crab bites were small and tasted only partially of crab. The conch fritters were actually pretty good and had great taste and chewy texture without being rubbery. As my entree, I had the ahi tuna, rare, which was delightful. It wasn't overcooked and was paired with sweet soy/teriyaki glazed spinach that was delicious. My wife had the crabcakes which were very impressive. This entree came with two HUGE hamburger patty sized crabcakes that were almost entirely lump crabmeat. Definitely worth the $20 as elsewhere such an entree would have half the crabmeat for that price. The ambiance was very much like that of a bar or fish camp style place but our service was great. Our waiter was fast, polite and got everything right. Overall, 4 stars. What you should expect in a tourist town.

I've been coming here for a decade every time I visit Jacksonville. I had one of the 10 best steaks of my life here, but usually I come for lunch and get one of the "baskwichs" (shrimp basket or oyster basket). If you have a good appetite, they serve some big meals. Quality and presentation are #1. It is right on the river and one of the most pleasant places ever to eat. Insider tip: the owners have a (rather elderly) Manx cat that likes to sleep on a barstool at the entrance. You can safely pet it. One night I was there, people were running outside to the dock to watch the manatees. So: great atmosphere, but especially -- great food!

My last trip to Lulu's was several years ago and it was ok but a bit disappointing. Groupon had an offer several months ago and my wife and I decided to give it another shot. It turned out to be a good decision.Lulu's sits on the intracoastal waterway and, as it was a beautiful day, we had lunch in a screened area on the waterway. I had a bowl of New England clam chowder followed by Southwestern mahi mahi served with yellow rice, black beans and asparagus while my better half ordered the fried shrimp basket which includes fries and hush puppies. The chowder is probably the best I have tasted. Creamy with nice big chunks of clams and none of the grit often found in lesser chowders. The mahi was nicely grilled and had a bit of a bite. The generous portions of yellow rice and black beans were fresh and tasty while the grilled asparagus was nicely crunchy. My wife reported the shrimp were sweet and crunchy with a light batter and very good. We completed our meal with a shared slice of key lime pie and which was very good but not quite the best I've had. Bahama Breeze still holds that honor. Service was very good with numerous drink refills and no excessive wait for the bill. If you want a good lunch with a nice view, check out Lulu's on the waterway.

Ate here for the first time today. Location is great, food is OK. Pretty sure the scallops were undercooked and the shrimp were overcooked. For the price, it was alright. Probably wont be back for dinner. Maybe lunch on a beach day.

I wouldn't call myself a seafood expert, but I've definitely had my share. I liked what Lulu's had to offer, between a wide variety of options on their menu, all based around seafood. It even included a lot of typical american menu dishes modified to include seafood. The bread they bring to you while you wait for food is great. I ordered the reef juice for a cocktail, which was definitely very strong, and still had some flavor. My salmon and my hushpuppies were also great. The best part though, eating along the water! The water flows by you tranquilly as you eat delicious seafood. Very nice.

I have never been unhappy after visiting Lulu's. I recommend it to anyone who likes to enjoy good company in a casual environ. My first experience was with a friend and she and I sat on a cloudy rainy afternoon for three hours sampling appetizers and having drinks. It was memorable. The bourbon mushrooms are wonderful. Next experience we took an out of town guest and he loved it. We each had different things so we could sample the variety this restaurant offers. The swordfish sandwich was exceptionally good but then I adore swordfish. The chowder is very tasty, desserts are almost always out of the question because we have eaten so much from the appetizer and entrée menu. We live near Orlando and would think nothing of driving to Ponte Vedra for a Lulu's fix on the lazy end of the Intracoastal Waterway. Primo!!!!
