First and last time going. Wife ordered a chicken breast dish... she cut it in half and it was completely raw inside! They took the plate away and returned a few minutes later with the same exact piece of chicken on the same exact pasta plate. I'm assuming they just put the chicken in the microwave and slapped it back on the original pasta plate... No concept of food contamination! That's too bad.. the atmosphere is charming... I wish I would have seen this before going... La Cazuela Restaurant, 1835 N Pine Island Rd, Plantation, FL - Restaurant inspection findings and violations city-data.com/fl-restaur…

On the beginning was great, the food, but later on, the size of the dishes change a lot, the taste, really bad from 9 to 2. The place is nice very Colombian. But the food is the key of successful businesses in this industry and they went from great to bad. I used to go once a week, bring my friends but the last time I went there that was a terrible experience with the food.

So enjoyed being here crazy work week and needed a relaxing wind down. Patrons seems to know the owners and servers. They are very attentive and made the time to ask my name and introduce themselves. They are very attentive as well as pay attention to detail. Don't miss this place!!!!

Hands down the best Columbian food I have ever had. I'm obsessed with their Chuleta Calena. The red beans and rice is to die for, as well as the toastones! I'm not too big of a fan of their plantains, but that is just a personal preference. The staff there has always been friendly, and the restaurant has a very cute, homey feel to it. I also just found out they they deliver with Delivery Dudes, so that definitely appeals to the lazy days my boyfriend and I have haha. I have ordered from them twice so far from La Cazuela and my food was always delivered perfectly hot and they even remembered to bring my extra mandarin sauce! If you are ever in Plantation, La Cazuela is a restaurant you must try!

I so wanted to become a fan of this place. It is convenient to my neighborhood, the inside is so adorable. So brightly covered in so much décor from Colombia, really pretty. The day we decided to finally check them out, oh joy lucky us their AC was not working. They did have a large industrial fan towards the back hitting us as we sat to give some relief. The gentleman who served us was so very nice. He barely spoke any English. We made it work with just a few minor hiccups. Service is super slow here, we sat for quite a bit before my wine and water came out. It was so hot in there I had to beg for refills for my water. The wine selection is poor with maybe five bottles to choose from. We had a very light bodied Malbec. For this type of food they really need some bigger fuller bodied wines. We all ordered different dishes and as usual my dish was the bad one. I ordered the Churassco and it was not good at all. The steak was super tough and fatty. Maybe it was the type of steak they used but I could barely eat it. The fries were good, some of the best tostones I have had in awhile. The red beans were very good as well. The rice was hard and not cooked properly. So really it was hit or miss with the food, some good thing's and other's not so good. Prices are average. Meh, just ok for me.

Place has potential. Good ambiance, great service - got to love a happy waitstaff. Steak was at proper temperature but could have used a little trimming. A reasonably good cut of cow. Good 1" thick slab. Tomato slice - what is to say about that? It was somewhat flavorful and certainly attractive. French fries: frozen Ore-Ida crinkle fries are not very good. Period. Frozen Ore-Ida fries that are still cool in the center when served are disgusting. Sorry but they are. I understand mistakes happen but cold (as in not fully cooked) is a hard one to get over. Makes one wonder about the skill set in the back. I will give it another try as I think the place can and should be quite good. For now, memories of mealy, raw & prepackaged fries lingers too harshly.

We ordered the ceviche as an appetizer and got everything but ceviche. It looked like they ran out of limes and substituted it with mayonnaise. Absolutely disgusting! Then we ordered the churrasco which was also everything but churrasco. The meat was tough and about 80% fat. I spent most of the meal trying to find a piece of meat. When I confronted the waitress about the piece of meat that they had tried to pass off as churrasco she said "well that's our style of churrasco". Ridiculous! The whole meal was overpriced and I wouldn't recommend it.

The food in this cute restaurant was delicious! I had a spicy shrimp dish and my hubby had the cazuela. Everything was incredible! Our waiter was so attentive and the owner walked around making sure everyone was happy. We will definitely go back! Yummm!

Food was great, I had a cazuela, wife had the bandeja and my Midwestern gringa mother in law had the piña chicken (which she loved). Yelp page says not good for kids, but my 13 and 3 year old were fine. (They have high chairs and a kid menu). But I was the only group in the place at 6 pm on a Wednesday.

First time at La Cazuela, we only ordered to pick up and ate at our office. Got two mini-cazuelas and one bandeja paisa. The taste was excellent but the size of our portions was not really good and we were very disapointed, since does not go according to the price we paid. Waiter when pick up was a little plane and did not welcome me like people used at the hospitality business, specially if this is a new business. Just a review but we will not order again from this restaurant, but still you have to try their food. Thanks. Juan.

Hola.

Disappointed. My churrasco was full of fat and flavor-less, my husband's rice was hard, my sons salchipapa was tiny... Water served without ice. Service sucked. Gave 2 stars because the mojarra was ok.

I've been here several times and the food is consistently good. Good portions and well priced. It's only a month old, so it's not too busy yet. I suggest you take advantage of it before it starts getting busy. Beware of the free chips and dip... Highly addictive.

After receiving a postcard at home regarding their recent grand opening, we decided to check this place out. While we waited for our orders, they provided us with the yummiest-fresh-right-out-the-oven chips and a cilantro dip. If it wasn't that I had a big order coming, I would have eaten the whole basket by myself and ordered another one. Then came our appetizer, a dish of tostones with a red/yellow pepper dip that was pretty tasty, but just needed a tad bit of salt to make it just right. Finally, our entrees came in. My husband had the Carne asada/grilled flat steak, which came with rice, french fries and a side salad. He thought it was perfectly cooked and from the empty plate I saw at the end of our meal, it sure looked like he enjoyed it. I had the churrasco with chimichurri sauce. Every time I see the word chimichurri on a menu, I have to have whatever it is part of. Fortunately, I've never come across balut with chimichurri sauce, 'cause I'd probably order it just cause of that sauce, and not 'cause balut is duck embryo. Anyways, back to my churrasco. It came with rice, fries, and a side salad as well, and it was all quite delicious. I must add, the servers were also very kind and attentive. We'll definitely come back.
