Mediocre food. Horrible service. Asked for no egg in my friend rice as I am allergic. My rice still came with eggs. Upon calling and speaking with the hostess, I was told the delivery man would return with the corrected order. 2 minutes later another employee calls to tell me she spoke to the cook and that they did not add egg to my rice. Apparently she knows more than me even though I was looking at the food as we spoke. I had to wait over an hour for them to correct their mistake and deliver my food. Stay away. There are much better restaurants in the area.

Food is fresh, cheap and comes out pretty fast. First time eating here and definitely will be returning.

I've been searching for good Chinese food in S. Florida and this place is the best so far. Dishes taste authentic and good. I had the Soy Sauce noodles off the Chinese menu and it was surprisingly good, with veggies, scallions and mushrooms. The Beijing beef is perfect - good sized pieces of fried beef and the sauce is sweet and thick, not runny and salty. The other dish we ordered was ma po tofu - the tofu was fresh and springy...delicious and not too salty. The restaurant is clean and staff is friendly. The tea was a little flavorless but this is the only critique I have. Ample parking in the strip mall it is in. Can't wait to go back.

Wow! It's been a while since someone wrote a review . . so I thought I might change that. I'll give this place a 3.5. Not a 4 because this place really isn't what they used to be. The food here is probably the closest to authentic compared to a lot of the chinese restaurants I've been to. It can end up being on the salty side, I can't lie, but you can ask them to use less salt. They have a Chinese menu and an American menu. When I come with my family, we always use the Chinese one. I've only used the American one once because I came with the boyfriend. Those who can't read Chinese can use the Chinese one though! They have the English name under the Chinese foods, but only downside is that they don't have the description with whats in it :/ My FAVE dish from this place is the Salt & Pepper Squid. I ask them to go light on the salt and it comes out SO good. Another favorite of mine is the dry Beef Chow Fun. A lot of places use too much onions/green onions and it completely overpowers the dish but this place makes it just right. My mom enjoys the cooked oysters with black bean sauce. It's kind of a hit-or-miss when it comes to how many come out with oysters inside, lol. I also enjoy the Pan-Fried Egg Noodles with Seafood on top! The noodes always come out crispy and always just enough sauce. I think if this place wasn't 35 minutes away from us and a lot closer, we'd come here more often. The staff is very helpful if you ask them about specials or suggestions too.

The food was not good - it was bland like the atmosphere. Friendly service and waitress was really nice to kids at nearby tables.

I just tried the dim sum. It was just so so. However, I really like some of their dishes are only $8.95 each. Tasty and good price. Oh, and the waitress are really nice. =)

eehhhhhh there's better Chinese places in Plantation. This place has been here forever and sadly their food has taken a turn for the worst. This is evident in the last couple of reviews. THANK GOD I didn't see any roaches! The motif definitely needs an update as well. I went with Moms last Saturday, they don't have any lunch specials during the weekend, so a meal/soup/egg roll and rice is at least $12. My mom got the shrimp and lobster sauce and she could barely eat it because it was so fishy. I got the honey GARLIC chicken that came with not a spec of garlic. It was fried, which was fine but each piece of chicken was covered in breading. Like if you took the breading off the chicken was half of it's original size. The chicken was of good quality but between the breading and the honey I should've just ordered fried dough. Our waitress was very nice and that's the only saving grace. I won't be heading back anytime soon, that's for sure.

I've been coming to this restaurant for about 5 years now. A solid place for good food but could use a remodel to update dining room. More of a hole in the wall local place that serves up good food at a good price.

Some of the worst Chinese we've ever had! I ordered sesame chicken but pretty sure it was sweet and sour chicken since there were pineapples in it and no sesame seeds. My husband had pork egg foo young and said it was tasteless which is probably a good thing since the egg roll tasted like dog food. I really wonder if it changed ownership since other reviewers said its so good.

Place needs a remodel... It's ok. Food is fair. It used to be much better. I will not be returning. Silverware had crust on it.

Ordered food from here, but when the delivery guy walked into my gate & to the 2nd door, my dog barked at him as he walked closer. As I go to open my door to pay I see the delivery guy kick my dog twice (side & face), like KICKED HIM. He told me "I hate dogs". In shock & angry, I suggested he maybe not deliver food for a living. If you hate dogs, you shouldn't deliver foods when so many families own dogs, maybe work inside the resturant instead. When I called the resturant to complain they refused to give me the delivery guys name & basically blew me off. All I wanted was for them to accept what happened, apology & to say they wouldn't send THAT delivery guy to my house again. Instead they blew me off completely & were completely disrespectful. So I had to call & report it to the Police instead. Thankfully my dog is ok, just a little on edge like anyone who just got kicked would be, but i have to report it, if this driver kicks another dog and breaks the dogs rib or something worse, I'd feel horrible. There are many way to react to a barking dog, violently kicking them is not one. They have lost my business I hope they lose yours too.

Ordered two dishes from this place, and had to toss them out after the first bite. The general tso, and orange chicken sauce where disgusting, and the chicken was not even a high enough quality to serve to my dog. Total waste of $30, call another place!!

Ordered fried fish with tofu from here and it was salty. The dish itself had the potential to be really good as they're using better quality ingredients than I originally thought. The fish tasted sweet & fresh, the tofu were really tasty, they have some king mushroom slices which were tasty. However, all these good ingredients were drowned in a pool of salty sauce. I had my food delivered and they didn't list out all the items, tax, delivery fee, etc. By the time I got my bill, I wasn't sure if tip was already included since the bill was higher than I anticipated but the driver insisted tip was not included but couldn't explain why the bill was high!?!?!

If there was a zero star I would choose it. Terrible food-the Peking Duck made me sick for 2 days. The skin was like biting into a bone-and the meat was fatty. It was horrible. The service was also bad. No water refills and they seated us in a booth next to a loud family with a kid watching a video on full blast. In an empty restaurant. Really, it couldn't have been worse. Terrible food. And it was our anniversary. We spent it with stomach aches!

I have been to Jade Garden several times and the food has been tastey. Unfortunately this last visit might indeed be my last. I went at lunchtime on a Saturday expecting it to be busy. There was one other customer. I ordered my food to-go which was to be ready in 10 minutes. When I returned 15 minutes later the food was not ready; I waited another 5 minutes. Finally when I sat down to enjoy my lunch, I opened the brown paper bag to find a baby ROACH crawling inside the bag. What a waste of $11.61 (because they only offer the lunch pricing Mon-Fri).

Abysmal service undermines very good food. Found out by accident that there is a separate menu for the authentic chinese food. Ordered dumplings, Young chow fried rice and Sizzling Chicken Hot Pot. All was very good but took way too long to arrive. As did the check. Can't recommend this place for that reason.

The food used to be good! I got the egg foo young, it had no taste even after adding 2 packets of soy and a packet of mustard! There was also almost no sauce! They used to give it in a separate container, now it's in with the egg foo young. They also raised their prices. It was an extra $10 for 2 meals and an appetizer.

Wanna know my foodie weakness? Okay, so hate me, but I'm infatuated with the Eggplant with Yu Hsing sauce at Jade Garden. It might be the MSG calling my name but I can't get enough of that stuff. Speaking of MSG, they can direct you to dishes without it. It's not like they necessarily add it but it's in some of the prepackaged sauces I think. I'm not sure I want to know as it might come between me and my eggplant! The cool thing is they are really quick. Another reason for the weakness! Oh, and one meal lasts me 3...woohoo!!!

I've had better authentic Chinese food but for it being South Florida I guess is ok..place is clean for a Chinese restaurant. Had a good time with co-workers.

It's a gorgeous restaurant. The staff was really sweet. The food, however, was a shame. My general tso's chicken lunch special came with 4-5 cups of fried rice and chow mein noodles. Why, oh why?! The sauce was very cornstarch-y and generally icky. More sugar, less starch!

I have been eating here for like 20 years. This place had always been a more formal place for excellent Chinese food. It has changed big time! I ordered salt and pepper shrimp last time and the shrimp tasted a little off like they were old. I also ordered a pork and chicken fried rice. One had no flavor and one was sooooo over salted it was ridiculous. I think they may have seasoned one of them twice by accident. I have eaten a couple times recently and have been very disappointed. So sad because I really loved this place.

Jade Garden is a staple of Plantation. And, they DELIVER! . Tonight we ordered Egg Roll, Beef and Broccoli, House Special Fried Rice, and Honey Chicken - the best. The restaurant is simple and quiet with great service. I have eaten in and had take away...it's always good food!

This place is just eh. The good sign was that there were many Chinese people eating there, but this place has seen better days. We had eaten there in December and remembered it was good, however, this time we went back and it was not that great. The place seems a little on the dirty side, and the food was very ordinary. We had mixed soup, and a egg roll, and salt and pepper shrimp, peking duck and short ribs. The food was all too salty and saucy. Also had fried rice. The fortune cookies were stale.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
