Great food always comes with a price, and the price here are long lines. Well worth it. Reminds me of my grandma's cooking.
(5)Candy W.
The best Jamaican food in broward county it cant get no better than this place.
(5)Hin C.
Great food, service not so. If time is not on your side, this isn't the place for you during busy time, like lunch or dinner hours.
(4)Leah H.
One of the best Jamaicans restaurants I have been to although the line is always long, it's worth the wait.
(4)geoff c.
Great...long lines so order ahead of time and pick the food up so you can skip the lines.
(4)joan v.
Just had the brown stew chicken with the rice and peas. Very delicious! The brown stew gravy over the rice is perfection. Yes the staff isn't the friendliest. But the food is worth it!
(4)Michael M.
We came here during lunch time and the line was easily 20 people deep! However it was very much worth the wait! We got one order of the Curry Chicken lunch special and the Jerk Chicken. Both portions were huge and the food was amazing. Well worth the wait. Will come back!

My friend and I were craving Jamaican food for dinner, so we decided to order food here after a recommendation from another friend. I work in Miami, and based on the other reviews, I decided to call early (commute is approximately 50min). I placed my order, but I knew something was wrong when the girl didn't ask me for my name or number. Anyway, I get there, go to the Pay line, and of course, it wasn't ready. The lady at the pay line was willing to make my order (the food is prepared in the front), even though the Order line was super long. She also gave us a decent portion for small plates. The food was pretty delicious. I may be back if I get another craving.

Good tasting food at an very reasonable prices once all this Caribbean places charge about the same , you won't be hungry after eating with the more than generous amount of food they give you even if you get the smallest size box. The Drinks are overpriced though so your better off just going to the store next door and buying an drink there.
(5)Lexi P.
service is so bad I will never come here plus the wait is too long and they are supposed to give you plantains but say they don't have them, which is a lie. demand your plantains or go elsewhere.
(1)Ms. S.
I have been coming here for years and the food is great however the service is slipping. The lunch lines are exceptionally long but that does not seem to inspire any sense of urgency for the servers.

What a great place to get home style Jamaican food. We had the Jerk Chicken as well as the Brown Stew Chicken, and both were top notch. The most important things to know is that the food is authentic (very good home style), the portions are very generous (i could have saved half to eat later, but just was enjoying it sooo much), and the prices are as fair as it gets (two people eating til stuffed for roughly 11 bucks per person from the dinner menu). We found the staff to be quite nice and really enjoyed our dinner. We are looking forward to going back for breakfast to try either the Callaloo or Ackee and Salt Fish! The only thing missing from the place was a picture of Bob Marley. Good food, cool runnings..

The food is great, very ethnic. I have no complaints about their food. But the reason why I gave this place a 3star is because THEY NEVER GIVE YOU PLANTAINS. They lie and say they sold out of plantains. So I came early one time and they said the same thing they out of plantains. How are you out of plantains when you first open? One day I was standing in line and I ask for plantains as again they said they were out then a Jamaican guy came behind me and spoke patwa they took his plate in the back and came back with plantains on his plate. I was very upset!! When I had return to the place I complained that I never get plantains and they always say they out. (Which they be lying) the girl went in the back for me and got some plantains. Dutchpot food is great but dont believe when they tell you their out of plantains THEIR ACTUALLY IN THE BACK they give them to certain ppl. We are paying for plantains so we should either get a discounts or get a little extra food on our plates. But instead we dont!!:((

This place is so good! We came back from a cruise and stayed in town for a day. My wanted some authentic Jamaican food. Found this on yelp and let's just he was one happy man! We had the oxtail a, stewed chicken and curry goat. Yummy!!
(4)Shotta F.
Good food!! horrible service!! Call in an order or walk in, EXPECT A LONG WAIT!! If it wasn't for the food I would stop coming back. They still might lose my almost daily customer because of this. Management needs to correct this.
(2)Peter L.
We've been coming here for a few weeks now, and the food has been consistently good. Their breakfasts are ample and varied. The ackee and saltfish well done and not greasy nor overly salty like other places. High marks for their oxtail and curried chicken as well. If you go on a Friday evening after 6 pm, just be prepared to wait for a while as it gets really busy. The food is worth it though.
(4)Derrick S.
The customer service not always the best and the portions can be a bit stingy and over done with rice but the food, the meat the little that you do get is pretty good for biggest bang for your buck it the fish seafood order that make it in the back its not out now that plate is heavy!
(4)Sweet P.
There's only a handful of Jamaican restaurants that cook the way I like and this was one of them. To my surprise their food was well seasoned and plentiful. The fish was really really good. I ate every parts of it. My mom had the oxtails and she devoured it. Needless to say the only negative comment I have is when I got there there was a very long line of people waiting. I waited for about 20 minutes before I got to the counter to place my buffet style order. That's not cool. And they didn't have any plantains or they had ran out. Definitely not cool. As I luuuuuvvv them so. Other than that the prices were extremely reasonable and the food was worth it. The servers were also very friendly and that's very important. Yup-yup. I'll be back - that's my food truth
(4)Kandi L.
Di curry chicken and rice wuh great!! Along wit mi Ting!! I give this restaurant a 5 star b/c the food was great and everyone was nice. The girl at the register had a bit of an attitude when I asked her a simple question and she didn't say thank you! When she handed me the money, I said, "THANK YOU!" (with a blunt stare). Good grief, have some customer service skills and smile, which none of that she did not do!! No other negatives other than that!
(5)Natalie S.
I just wanted to update ya'll on how AMAZING this food is. We are now regulars and have sent all of our friends here and they too are addicted to the wonderful, flavorful goodness. My new favorite is the oxtail but the fish, curry goat and curry chicken are just as spectacular.
(5)Vishwah R.
The brown stew fish is always good there. Good place to pick up and go. Staff is friendly and hard working. Very tasty.
(4)Monalisa M.
Jamaican dad brought our fams here for JA breakfast. #YUMS Ackee & Saltfish Bammy Banana Porridge Fried Dumpling Fry Ripe Plantains Callaloo and Saltfish Delishhh.

i only get to hit up this place when i am at work. it's more than 10 miles from home,so i go to my other jamaican spot for food. the food is good but a bit pricey, especially fish dishes.there is seating if you want to stay and eat.the staff is friendly(unlike some JA businesses) and willing to mix-match food if you like.unfortunately due my eat right plan i can't have it often..
(4)Latoya S.
My new favorite spot for Oxtail and Brown Stew chicken. The food has been very consistent since I first tried them two months ago and I keep finding myself going back when I get in that mood for good Jamaican Food. The Oxtail is the best I've tasted so far sweet and tender, and the Brown Stew is even better. The rice and peas are just right, heck I even like the Cole Slaw. They sale Large, Medium, and Small Portions so the price can be just right for your budget. I did try the fried chicken once and it was not bad but I think Junies off of 441 has the best, other than that this will be my new go to place for good Jamaican Food.
(4)Cody M.
The customer service here is horrible! Everyone here has an attitude and treat you like you are interrupting their day by trying to order food. I will never ever spend my money at this place again. This goes for both the Margate and Plantation locations. Go to Donna's or Golden Crust. Save yourself the headache.
(1)Jackie C.
Being jamaican, I love jamaican food. Dutch Pot is my favorite jamaican restaurant. Of course, I believe my Mom is the best jamaican cook ever, even my Mom loves Dutch Pot. I always have the curried goat (spicy). Mom always get the oxtails - yummy!!!
(4)Shenika T.
I've had the food here once before and it was nothing exceptional. However, I tried it one more time and it was finger licking good. They serve the typical Jamaican cuisine: oxtails, curry and brown stew chicken. I ordered their brown stew chicken and white rice for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. A few cons: no lunch specials and the prices are a little too high. Service is a little slow and I thought I saw a little attitude from the staff. You can sit in and dine, but most people do take out.
(3)Tyler M.
I love this place! The food is always hot and fresh! They have a nice variety of food, and generous portions! I eat a lot and had trouble finishing a small. A large would serve me for 2 days. Their prices are good and service is fast! I will come here weekly if possible.
