I don't usually care for chain restaurants but I am a fan of Carrabba's since they tend to have consistent quality and good service. I have only been to this location for lunch, the outside appears to be going through some remodeling and even appears closed from the outside, the indoors is smaller and darker than other locations, it appears to also need some updating. The food though is consistent, I love the minestrone soup, the fettuccine Alfredo, and the chicken or steak Marsala. I also enjoy the complimentary bread served with olive oil and their special seasoning mix. Service is friendly and attentive. Food 4 stars Location 3 stars Service 3,5 stars

I had not been to Carraba's in a couple of years, but this time I was really impressed with the food and service. Our waitress was Kimberly, and she did an outstanding job, making sure our orders were modified to match what we were looking for. I tried the hazelnut breaded Tilapia with a creamy lemon sauce. You can order this with a pasta side or vegetables, and I decided to go with the grilled asparagus. This is a definite winner. The fish was cooked just right, perfect seasoning, and the asparagus were super tasty. For dessert, we tried the panna cotta with raspberries, and it was delicious. Overall, I was very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. They are in the middle of remodeling the restaurant, so it will only get better once they are finished.

When I got there I thought the place was shut down for two reasons: 1. There is major construction to the front of the building making it look condemned. 2. When I entered the building it was completely worried because it was empty. Overall, it's ok here. Nothing stellar but nothing bad. I will say our service was great, but again, it was dead so what do I expect? The Caesar salad I had was delicious. I didn't love my dish. It was just ok. There was something in one of the cheeses I personally didn't like. I thought the portions were great, especially for lunch. Unlimited bread and oil is always a plus, especially for me. Everyone I was with raved about their meal so maybe it's just me? I would go again, but definitely not a first choice place.

I have never been to a different Carrabba's to compare this location to so I personally love coming in since I discovered this place about two years ago. I have never really a bad experience here. I usually have the nicest waiters and I am in and out just how I like. I don't have to flag the waiter down for my check & I don't have to ask for refills. They are located in the corner of a complex that houses the new LA Fitness & my favorite Publix. 9/10 times that I have visited were late nights so there is no wait. Last Friday I attempted to go after 6pm and I instantly made a U-turn. Coming to a restaurant like this in this area on a Friday night is an obvious no-no if you don't like waiting for a table. I actually think they have gotten much busier with the opening of LA Fitness. After Applebees closed down that was right in front of it, it was kind of located in an area that was sortof dark and sad. They offer bread on the house that comes with some side oil with herbs to dip into while you wait for your meal. I think I actually go to eat here so I can enjoy the salad that comes with your meal (optional to get soup instead). They offer to put cheese on everything- WHY NOT! I get it thrown on my salad and all over my meal. They tell you to tell them when to stop with the cheese and they usually give me the side eye as they dump so much cheese and I am just watching in pure joy. Who doesn't love endless cheese? Going for dessert? Tiramisu, for sure.

Half price appetizers at their bar till 7 pm. They have a huge selection too! We had the caprese salad, risotto balls, and the shrimp. All were under $6 I believe. The shrimp were plentiful, I swear there was like 15 of them, very good. Totally going back for Happy Hour!

First time here for dinner. The website has a lot of specials/coupons so check before your visit! I used a coupon for a free appetizer. My friend and I shared the antipasti plate, which consisted of calamari, mozzarella, and tomato bruschette. I had the rigatoni martino (pasta with tomato and chicken) and it was pretty good. My friend ordered the Fettuccine Carrabbas and omg it was so good!! Server was excellent, very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She was also very quick! Good experience overall, kind of like a higher end Olive Garden. Loved the ambiance/lighting as well.

Worst Carrabbas experience ever. I eat and have eaten at Carrabbas all over the US. It is one of my "go to" places when I am in a large area and unsure where to eat. 1. Wrong order brought to table 2. Sirloin Marsala was barely edible. Told server and he said "sorry". I apologized for returning a plate that looked so gross since there was spit out meat on it and he stated "it's okay - I have seen worse". 3. Had to ask twice for bread to be refilled and it was a long time. 4. Had to request Ice-T refill. Server stated they were brewing more and would have it out shortly. Waited 10 minutes and still no tea. 5. My husband and I wanted to split a meal. portions are adequate to do this. Server asked if we were joking. 6. Never contacted manager. He was busy tending to the table next to us over a hair in their food.

It's been years since I've last eaten at one of these places. This visit was great. Sat at the bar for dinner and a Makers Mark. I had the Beal Marsala with a ceased salad and the pasta amatriciana. It was all great. The bartender was kind and attentive. I would return here.

I have been to a lot of Carrabba's restaurants. I love their food. But this is the worst Carrabbas I have ever been to. First off when you walk in the hostess greeting point is awful to look at, it looks like a garage sale with vacuums, high tops, silverware and junk storage right in the entrance. Then they didn't have enough staff to seat us at one of the 10 open tables so we had to wait, even though we called ahead to avoid the wait. Our waiter was very friendly. They don't mix the oil and spices at the table, the appetizer we ordered, shrimp diavolo never came. All of our food was brought out by food runners so no responsibility was on the waiter. No cheese was offered with our soups and salads. The wrong (and more expensive bottle of wine) came out instead of the bottle we asked for. The food came out missing a side, when the side was asked for the wrong side came out. The waiter could see our frustration with our experience and brought out a dessert to alleviate our issues. At first I told the food runner with the cake we did not order it, after some confusion our waiter came back over with the dessert and explained it was on the house for the poor service. The dessert ended up on our bill. The wine (even the wrong bottle) was on special for $10 off. But that special price was not on the bill either. Also is seems their portions are extremely small to other Carrabbas'. This was my second and last time at this location. They really need to get their stuff together.

This place is busy. We were seated very quickly but the wait for the waiter took about 10 minutes. The bread was hot and tasty. The meal came pretty quickly. The special was good but the mahi mahi did not look like the picture on the menu. The picture on the menu showed it with pasta and I order some beans. What I was not aware of was that the beans replaced the pasta. When I asked about the pasta ,was advised that was extra. I felt I was misled. The ad certainly fooled me.

I think I have been to this location at least a few times but we don't eat Italian often... Restaurant choices made by The Mister are unfortunately usually based on places that have a reasonably priced good quality steak. Fortunately for me he suggested going here for dinner. Arrived at around 9:30 on a Saturday night and there was around a 10-minute wait. We both decided to try the new 3-course dinners... I was shocked at how fast the first course came out and the portions were huge! The calamari was a bit on the greasy side, and overseasoned with both salt and pepper, but I liked the marinara. Mozzarella sticks tasted slightly burned to me but he liked them. The complimentary bread was served piping hot and the olive oil with herbs did not disappoint. As we waited for the second course I was getting the feeling that the place felt a little... Unclean. My side plate and glass had residue and I detected the faint scent of the dirty dish rag that had been used to wipe down the tables. I don't know... Maybe this was all in my head. I digress. I did enjoy the ceasar salad and the three croutons served in it. Spicy chicken soup was okay. The lobster Mac and cheese entree had potential... But was more like a thin sauce sitting at the bottom of the bowl with cooked pasta placed on top (not tossed together) and toasted Panko breadcrumbs on top of that. The lobster was nothing special. I got through about a third of it and decided to take it home where I can doctor it up a bit. His fettuccine Alfredo was seriously lacking sauce. It really looked like buttered noodles. He said the Parmesan crusted chicken was fine. One of the pieces looked burned to me but then again that's how he likes to eat things. *sigh* Overall service was good and the food came out super fast. Like almost too fast. I wished they took a few more minutes and cooked each thing right.

I have no idea how anyone could like this place. The food is not good. It barely qualifies as mediocre. My $5 salad had pieces of lettuce that were going bad. My daughter and husband had dishes with pasta and meat, but they are very stingy with the meat and give mostly a big bowl of pasta. For the same price, drive a few blocks south to Vignetto's for much better food!

When we got in we were positively impressed. Smell was good and the wood oven promising. Unfortunately food is sad. Seems industrial/frozen food. Pizza's topping were good but the crust disappointed. The good news is that these can be easily fixed and I would suggest the company hires help if they want to do better than just ok. By unanimous decision, we are not coming back.

Employees have no manners. Food presentation was horrible. They have my food away to someone else. Server said he didn't think I was coming. Server didn't give me any utensils. I had made my order on the phone for pick up. I was also on time, so I don't know why they said I wasn't going to show up.

I love their food here, specially on Monday. U get a great deal for the price of $12, $15 or $18 for a 3 course meal!! What a deal. Service is always very good . I love coming here!! Also every day they have happy hour from 5 to 7, their raspberry sangria is so yummy!!!

LOVE THIS RESTURANT AND LOCATION! Their customer service is always excellent and so is the food. After being a loyal customer for the last few years, I sat in front of the cook for the first time and was offered sample after sample of delicious menu items. Wish you would open another location in Pembroke Pines!

Had a pleasant experience with Mike as a our waiter. He was nice, attentive and consistently came back at give us bread. He went above and beyond to give me salmon to replace one of the chickens on the chicken trio... Great experience, great waiter. The food is excellent and the price is reasonable for the quality of food. A plus!!!!!

We went as a foursome Saturday evening. Got a table immediately - lots of empty tables. Greeting was generous. Our server, Evan, was terrific, accommodating, knowledgeable, and -- what I like! had recommendations and drink order right away. I was really looking forward to the Indian Lentil with Sausage Soup, Talapia Nocciola and special ordered sauteed garlic spinach. The two men ordered the Chicken Trio. My soup came, it was on the salty side but the flavors were there, so... The talapia arrived with a good cook but too much salt; the spinach SALTY! The Chicken Trios? Too salty. I worked through the fish and left the spinach on my plate. We didn't send anything back, I spoke with our server about everyone's salt issue. I observed our server, Evan, delivering my comments to the front of house and back of house personnel - they both joked, waved their hands in the air, blew him off, and laughed. I thanked Evan for his efforts; it was obvious he was embarrassed. We were comped the one dish of desert the four of us shared. Finally, if you enjoy saddling up to a salt-lick, this is the place to go! Wish I could give a 4-star for Evan.

I love Carrabba's. They always give you bread with their dipping oil and it's so delicious. I always have to ask for more. The Parmasean crusted chicken salad is really good. As an appetizer I tried the calamari which was seasoned well. The service is friendly and pretty fast. The atmosphere is good for a date or for the whole family. I like it a lot better than Maccaroni Grill or Olive Garden for sure. The quality is much better here.

Went last night, a Saturday, at about 630-645pm. I had a gift card that was over a year old,..it was time to use it. Busy as it was, we waited only about 15 mins. Young man sat us, who had greeted us warmly. (caught his name to be Gio). We sat with a young woman named Christine. She was all you wanted a server to be. "Happy to be there" attitude, big smile, friendly but not pushy, and kept us up to speed how long everything would be. As busy as they were, I was shocked everything came out on a timely manner and hot. I had the fettuccine w/ chicken and peas, (I'm anti mushroom, so I had dinner made with out it), peas were crisp and fresh, unlike the ones I try to make at home. We also had the chicken marsala w/ the green beans. I'm not a green bean lover, but boy oh boy, they did look edible to me. I might actually have to retry green beans again, due to the way they looked on his plate last night. Did I mention we had the fried mozz chs? I hate when you go some where and its the friend sticks you can buy at the grocery store. These,...were not that,...these were huge pieces, that melted in my mouth.. YUM! My 10 yr old had kids ravioli w/ butter,...the gentleman who put the cheese on the dinners,..listened perfectly to my sons request of A LOT....A LOT OF CHEESE. We went because we had a gift card, but I will return in the near future because we had such an enjoyable evening. Prices were good, dinner was hot and service was excellent.

I agree with a previous review that the restaurant was more like a higher end Olive Garden. None the less, the food was pretty good. The blackberry sangria was very good, so was dessert.

I arrived at about 7pm, the place was about half full. Plenty of empty tables. I was dining alone. The hostess was put out that I wanted a table. I ordered a beer, it was 2 for 1, I was served both at the same time. I like my beer cold, so by the time I was ready for the second glass, the beer was warm. Tried the special menu for $15. I chose the parmesan crusted chicken. It was terrible. It tasted like cardboard. It was dry and burnt. How they can serve this is unbelievable. The only good thing was the chocolate mini dessert. There is nothing hospitable about the hospitality industry. That said, it's a shame what the public has to put up with to have a pleasant experience dining out. Shame on you Carrabbas.

Read all the bad reviews and was skeptical to try this place but I should say...I was pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was very courteous.the ambience was nice. We ordered the spinach and goat cheese flatbread...it was delicious...very few places are generous with veggies..this flatbread had lots of spinach with small chunks of goat cheese baked perfectly deliciously crispy...i ordered the penne franco but with the wholegrain spaghetti...unfortunately they forgot to salt the pasta but the dish by itself was wonderful...pasta was al-dente..wonderful olives..mushrooms...sundried tomatoes...my wife got the sostanza....it was delicious but the pasta was at places clumpedup...but again the taste was wonderful..... I would definetely recommend this place...great service and tasty food...

Many great memories at Carabba's. My favorite dish to get is the chicken trio which is a little bit of chicken Marsala, chicken Bryan which has goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes and pollo rosa maria which is a chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese with sautéed mushrooms on top. Everything from their fresh bread and herbs with olive oil to their mussels and the amazing sausage lentil soup are all to die for. I remember a time we all ate by the kitchen and the cooks had an extra order of mezzaluna that was gonna be scrapped. They gave it to us for waiting patiently on a very busy night. Even that dish was amazing.

For a chain restaurant, the food is fairly good. The serves I have had have been very accommodating to making adjustments to the menu. I usually go around 18:00 and during the week so the wait is not too long The Fettuccine is very good with shrimp. I have not yet sampled the pizza but will do so. It is hard to find good pizza in Florida, but will give it a try. The service has been very good and attentive. Plenty of parking.

what a horrible experience. I was charge dinner prices for lunch order and two chefs in the kitchen fighting and arguing over management gossip. It was not professional. The money change that the waiter gave me was incorrect- shorted me a few dollars. I will not come back. Its usually pretty good- but last few time are horrible.

I order take out from Carrabba's quite often. I can order online at their web-site. There's no need to call the restaurant. On the east side of the building there's parking for take out orders. They have curbside service so you don't need to get out of the car. They'll bring your order out to you. The food is good for the most part. I like their 'wood-burning grill' selections, especially the Chicken Bryan. The flat bread appetizers are good. I often get the Linguine Pescatore which is very good in my opinion. We ate inside only once and it was quite nice. The waiter could have been a little better but he wasn't too bad. Everyone enjoyed their food. I think this is a decent place to dine and a great place for take-out.

Was on a lunch date within old friend and was interrupted by a waitress so that she could insist on making the individual that I was with acknowledge that he new her. When he didn't agree that he knew her she wouldn't leave the table until he said ok. I've never been put in such an awkward position by anyone. I emailed the company and until today have not heard any feed back. Honestly, the service from my waitress was good but the Rosy/waitress was very inappropriate. I didn't address the situation because I didn't want to ruin the rest of my meal but I do believe it was very unprofessional and uncalled for. I know quit a few waitresses who have dated customers from the places where they've worked. This incident made me feel like the waitress was trying to elude more than what was said. Waitresses stay in your lane!

I have never had bad service at a Carrabbas and this was no exception. Quick , Friendly, efficient service. Food was good. Lets face it.. this is not authentic italian.. i dont think any restaurant in the United States is authentic anything. That being said, they do server some delicious food. I had the grilled Salmon with excellent mashed potatoes. The Mrs had Pasta Sostanza and they happily swapped the mushrooms with peas. Mom had the Tag Pic Pac easy on the garlic. It was excellent. I definitely recommend this Carrabbas.

Surprisingly good. Calamari was slightly over breaded but thank the restaurant gods that a customer can have a choice between the Brady Bunch Era infamous Marinara Sauce or a better more modern Lemon Butter Spicy Sauce. Crab Cakes were Meh at best. Soups were served hot and well seasoned. Entrees: Bakes Manicotti Reported to be very Good. Salmon was good Veal Piccata tasted good and was seasoned well. Service was as expected.

Heard so many good things about this place so we decided to give it a try. Arrived around 3:30pm on a Sunday afternoon and we still have to wait 20 min. to be seated. Sat down and ordered a beer and sangria but waited 15 min for them. Then got the order in but also waited 20 min for the appetizer to arrive. But the shrimp scampi appt. wasn't too bad, perhaps a little salty. Dinner salad arrived but it's only a few fork full. And I think they used can-beans in my Minestrone soup. My wife ordered the Pasta Weegie and I think either it has been sitting for a while or it was nuked because it was cold outside and hot inside. My angel hair Carrabbas wasn't that good neither : the mushroom was a bit salty and I don't think the pasta was made fresh, although the grilled chicken was cooked nicely. All in all, we were a little bit disappointed but it could be due to our high expectation before coming in. I don't think we will go back again. Food wasnt that good for the price they charged us. Service was slow and okay at best. We had to wait so long for drinks and food. We may either go to Olive Garden next for, or Macaroni Grill down the street.

I like this place, pretty good for a chain restaurant. The last couple of times I went I was disappointed at the service, however, because they tried to rush us out. I hate that. If I want to have a quick meal, I'll go to a drive through. The food is pretty good, however. Chicken Bryan is always a fave. I also tried the chicken sampler platter with chicken bryan and the chicken marsala, which was really good if you can't decide what to have. The 'happy hour' specials are annoying, because almost nothing we wanted was covered. Oh well. Like I said, for a chain restaurant, it's pretty great Italian food, but I'd rather go to other independent Italian restaurants around my area.

this resterant offers a call ahead to avoid the line. We called 3 hours before to schedule our dining time. We were handed a buzzer and told it would be 30 min before we could be seated. Why offer the call ahead feature if you are going to make people wait

Even though I usually go to the one in Coral Springs, I love this place. Everything on the menu here is perfect. My favorites are the sirloin marsala or the rigatoni martino (which is discontinued, but they still make it for me). The shrimp scampi appetizer and the herbs that you get with the bread are to die for.

I use to work at Carrabbas, and can vouch that the food is always made fresh, and the kitchen is always super clean! Part of the reason they are closed during the day is so that they can prepare the sauces, soups, and other foods DAILY. It doesn't get more fresh than that. And the food is great! Its unfortunate that someone left a poor review. That person obviously has a non-sophisticated palate. This place is for people who know good Italian food.

I don't know why people still eat here or at Olive Garden. I was dragged here by someone who thinks this is really good Italian food, and I'm pretty sure this place gave me food poisoning. This place overcharges for less than mediocre food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
