Ok. Burger had good flavor, but was warm at best. I had the Firecracker burger, which was a good flavored burger. Bun was soft and fresh. I also added the onion rings. This was where they fell short. They were again, warm at best, and soggy and oily tasting. I like a nice crispy onion ring, and they failed me there. Burger was on par with a better fast food burger, but a casual dining place like Chili's or Outback still has them beat. Paid over $10 for burger and onion rings (no drink) and know I would have a better lunch at a sit down place. I'm hoping it's just opening week jitters, but they will need to step up the game to stay around long term.

Waited 40 min for my food on a too order, they threw away my ticket and 2 other guests that came in AFTER me, got there's before mine. It was a very simple order.

I took my 9 year old daughter to the new Wayback Burger in Plant City for some Daddy/Daughter time. The burgers were delicious, although a little small (she ate a double). It's like those other "Guys", I think there are 5 of them, but with a better menu and without the peanuts (as a parent of a girl with a peanut allergy...thank you!). Oh and milkshakes! Don't even go in there unless you leave with a shake! I had the mushroom burger, she had the double cheeseburger. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They actually bring your food to you and seem to enjoy their job (kinda like that chicken place with the cows). Since they make the burgers to order, it does take longer than you might expect, but the awesome 50's music makes the wait easier. I may try their online ordering...but one way or another, I'll be back..way back (see what I did there?) Welcome to Plant City, WayBack!

I had lunch this afternoon and was extremely disappointed when I tried to order the monthly featured orange creamsicle milkshake and the individual taking my order indicated that they were out (and actually had been for several days.) This was the only reason that I had decided to visit was so I could get in before the end of the month and it was no longer the featured milkshake. Needless to say, since I had already invested the time in line while someone in front of me had a very long, and oddly specific, order, I ate there anyways. If I had walked up and been the first customer in line, I would not have stayed and would have turned around and went somewhere else. Also, for what it is worth, they appear to have charged me for an extra side of cheese to go along with my cheese fries. I didn't notice this until I was on my way out the door and since it was only 60 cents, I didn't want to wait in the line again to ascertain why it was charged that way. I really enjoy the atmosphere (with the oldies), but I am unsure that I would return to this location in the future as the food is pretty average and the wait times are long even with only a few people in the restaurant. Aside from the Monday special advertised, it is also rather pricey for what you receive. Edit: I provided feedback via the website and the owner contacted me within an hour apologizing for the situation and asked that I come back for a combo and upgraded shake on them. I will be giving them another chance, due to their stand-up response to my concerns. Edit 2: I was able to go back and get a wayback combo and shake. The food and shake were average. If you like plain fries with just ketchup, they have you covered. Any sauces for your fries are extra. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here; but if I was around and wanted a burger I might stop in. I don't see myself being a regular.

Not great. Kind of a steak-n-shake with better fries. There are better options out there.

Average. This place had no "wayback" feel and the food was nothing special. Reminds me of any other fast food joint.

Pretty happy with this new burger joint in town. Although it was crowded, service was fast and friendly and we were able to easily find a table. The burgers were fresh and there were many options for the whole family. We will definitely be back-looking forward to another online ordering option other than pizza in PC.

Been here 5 or 6 times since they opened. Have loved the burgers each time! Have had them with everything, but my favorite is catsup w grilled onions. My wife DOES NOT like burgers and she likes their burgers! She thinks their shakes are a bit sweet. Neither of us are impressed by their fries. Since I try to only eat fries once a month, when I order them, I want them to be great. Way Back fries are plain, boring, middle of the road fries. If their fries were as great as their burgers, they would be my perfect comfort food spot! Young friendly staff. First time we were in, the guy making the burgers told me it would be my favorite burger place - he was right! By the way, not much about the facility says "Way Back". I liked the classic music better than what's been playing lately. That won't keep me from going back often.
