Although there are several Starbucks locations around the country that are open 24 hours now, this location will always be the original "24 hour Starbucks" to me. Located conveniently right off of the I-4 at the Thonotosassa exit, this place is a must stop if you are making that typical trek from Orlando to Tampa or vice versa. Why, you ask? Well, because there is delicious coffee and tea, clean restrooms, and delectable pastries. Really, what more could you ask for? There is even a drive-thru for added convenience! The size of the Starbucks is ideal--room for casual seating and lounging, but not so huge that it's overcrowded and crazy. I think the drive-thru option helps prevent that. Also, the location right off of the I-4 (note the GIANT Starbucks sign over the highway), makes it easy to pull in and out of. I've never experienced any problems here, and also I associate it with roadtripping across Florida, so...5 stars!

Nice Starbucks located next to the I-4. Good sized parking lot means it's easy to get in and out, even when packed. Staff is nice, makes great beverages and this Starbucks has a nice vibe to it. This location is open 24 Hrs! I always stop here every time I travel to the west coast.

I have been to all over the country, and have never felt I needed to write a review for one unit now. When my friend and I walked into the place they had a large display right in the doorway [blocking everything, so clearly they would like you to see it.] with their new refreshers in a can. When I picked one up to look at it, the cashier from a distance shouted to us "Those are gross. The ones we make are ok, but those ones are gross." Ummmm...OK. We approach the counter to place our orders and the girl walks away. We stand there for several minutes waiting for someone to ask us what we wanted to order.. but nothing. THERE WERE 7 PEOPLE WORKING BEHIND THE COUNTER. Once we did put in the order we ended up waiting15 minutes for it. There were no drinks they needed to make in front of ours. They were all standing around talking. The funny thing there was what appeared to be a trainer behind the counter teaching a new employee to do something. The man that ordered behind us didnt get eye contact, asked questions that were answered with short snotty answers and was treated even worse. We overheard conversations about employees and their medications, weekend plans, hair products, etc. I am still shocked about the lack of proffesionalism and the dirtiness of the store, but what blows me away the most is that the drinks took 15 minutes to make. I live in Chicago and watch a team of 2 take care of a line of 30 people with no problems. These 7 people couldn't get an iced drink together. GET IT TOGETHER.

I've been waiting 10 mins for one caramel marchiato and a frapachino not to mention the guest that c a me before me didn't even get their drinks I got mine first. Horrible. The drive thru was wrapped around the store

This is a very convenient location. 24 hours and right off the interstate should make for a great spot but this spot is plagued by long drive through lines and inefficient staff. Add to that the issue with backup onto the road and it makes for a bad experience. The coffee, once finally received is usually pretty tasty but they are lucky no competition has moved in here.

This Starbucks confuses me. The woman running the register is responsible for popping my sandwich in the oven and grabbing a food item from the case as well as ring me up while there are two people just standing around back there? Those two people were there along with the drink maker and the drive thru order person. Not sure of their role but I've never seen the register person have so many tasks especially while there appeared to be others capable of throwing my sandwich in the oven or grabbing my other item. That's how it seems to run at other Starbucks. U hit Starbucks often so that's why this odd division of labor stood out. Oh and there were 4 people behind me in line midday. I felt bad for taking so long to have my order covered. What was the purpose of those other two people?

Loved how there's a drive thru, but my tall white chocolate mocha with non fat milk, no whip cream was not good. Does EVERYTHING taste different in FL? Sigh.

Love Starbucks but this location is pretty slow...customer service is nice & pleasant & they still make ur Starbucks coffee favs delicious but could use some extra people to deliver beverages a little timelier! this location is also open 24 hrs so great for anytime enjoyment plus it's right off I4 so it's pretty convenient for most peeps on the go...hopefully, if u get lucky u won't have to wait as long for ur drinkable delight!

Wow, this was the worse Starbucks I have been too!!! First off, the drive-thru line was out to the highway. So I decided to go in. Well, there was a long line inside too. I thought I would be patient and wait. The Baristas seemed to be more fast and trying to complete orders in an efficient manner. Yet, some customers were being too rude and complicated with their orders. This was what was holding up the long line. The interior was dirty because the staff was too busy completing orders. I think people should clean up after themselves to help the store out. the Barista got my order right with no problem. I thought they were friendly and remaining calm during the crazy rush. I left 1 Star because it took too long, was dirty, and felt unorganized. I think management should be improved to help resolve these problems. This is my opinion.
(1)
Doug J.
This store is consistently slow and dirty. The employees DO NOT care about customers and seem either lost, disinterested or both. The ONLY reason I come here is that it is convenient. Maybe they know they have a captive audience and take customers for granted. How does management allow this to continue?
(2)
Miranda M.
I concur with most of the other reviews. This Starbucks is always so slow wether you go through the drive thru or not. This is one I frequent often yet also try to go out of my way to avoid. Again today they messed up my order and are out of regular lids. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because the employees were nice and fixed my order relatively quickly.

Used to go here several times a week. Staff seems to be teenagers who don't really care about taking care of customers. I used to come in for bags of coffee as well as a cup for the road. After frustrations and corporate policies that aren't to my liking we just get Folgers at Publix now for home use.

I love this Starbucks and I've stopped here many times on my drives across Florida on I-4, it's located off of Exit 19 driving east. The extremely tall sign is just one of the many things I like about this location and when I spot it no matter the time day or night I'm stopping yes they are open 24 hours. How great is that? For me Starbucks is about the "product" so having to wait a little longer than normal is never an issue for me if my order is correct and if they correct any mistakes and stand by their customer service promise to make me a new one if there are issues. I look at this location like it's an oasis after driving for hours on I-4. The staff has always been friendly and has provided excellent service and delivers awesome drinks. A few annoying reviews doesn't change my opinion .

Iced coffee was old/had a really weird taste. The manager tasted it after I brought mine back and agreed and made me an iced americano instead! So there was a mess up but they were so awesome about it!

1st trip to tampa this year. Missing my navigator. Coffee is always exact and I found the perfect shot mix this year. 4 shots of espresso, 1 Splenda , 1 sugar in a raw, then equal amount of skim mile. I would love to show my fining to my navigator..

We will start with the good, this particular Starbucks is located just off of I-4 and is open 24 hours a day. After that though, it kind of heads downhill. When we stopped in, it was late afternoon, and nobody else was in there. For whatever reason, it still took way too long to make a few simple drinks. Another reason for the low rating, there is no place to really hang out here, as there is with just about every Starbucks. No chairs or couches, the place is purely built for you to go in and out, and that is all. Overall, just not the Starbucks experience I am used to getting.

This drive thru is just ridiculous. Takes forever to get through. Unless you are have 20 minutes to spare and are desperate for a Starbucks, avoid this one. Seriously always busy, and they just can't get cars through in a timely manner. Two stars just because they have gotten my order right both times, but major fail on wait times

This Starbucks is suddenly the best part of my morning. Clean and friendly, too. Heard they went through changes, and whatever they did made this like a Seattle store.

If you enjoy breathing carbon monoxide while sitting in the drive-thru for 20 minutes, then this is the Starfux for you! My aunt was in from St. Louis and friending for some of their Joe, so I had no choice but to stop. 20 minutes later, she got her used-to-be-hot latte and I got my used-to-be-frozen frap.

I have been to over 100 different Starbucks all over the Midwest and South and this is the only one that consistently gets my order wrong.. I,get an iced white chocolate mocha with caramel drizzle, not a hard drink to make, and yet they never get it right.. It is either way too sweet like they added extra sugar or it is soo bitter you can't drink it.. Just wish this store was as good as all the other ones I go to in my travels.

If I could leave no stars I would ... The worst Starbucks ever! Passing through from Siesta Key going back home to Jersey, all you want is some good old Starbucks coffee to make your long road a tat bit easier ... Well not with this Starbucks! Not only are they slow for over 5 people behind the counter, they also leave out your order so basically you just standing there waiting for nothing. Ordered two medium coffees, one decaf, the young lady behind the counter walked over to the coffee pot and poured me two medium cups FROM A GRANDE CUP THAT WAS STANDING THERE ALREADY MADE! When asked which one is decaf, she hesitantly pointed at the one closest. Puzzled I took a sip, not surprised, it was cold and tasted exactly the same. Luckily, or not so lucky, it wasn't just me that had their order jacked up. Several people turned their orders back. Just the worst service, I had gas station coffee better done!

This is a great Starbucks location right off of I-4. It is open 24 hours and has a quick drive thru. You can't miss the location as there is a giant Starbucks sign viewable as you approach the exit. I have had no problems here with the quality of the coffee or speed of service as both have been great. My only complaint would be with the friendliness of the staff serving the drinks. Some cheerfulness and politeness goes a long way. The last time I came in, it seemed more like they didn't really even want to be there.

So, I'm driving on Sunday afternoon heading from Tampa to Orlando, looking forward to a good jolt of Starbucks coffee to keep me awake. After waiting about a half an hour looking for a Starbucks sign, I see one for this location. I pulled into the lot, and it was pretty busy. I figured I could live with that, knowing that my local Starbucks moves pretty fast through the line. I was sorely mistaken. When I walked in, probably 15 people in line and virtually no one sitting down. After standing there for 10 minutes and not seeing any progress. Myself and a few others bailed. The person in front of me said they seemed more focused on serving the people in the window than people in the building. I walked over to McDonald's and got a couple of apple pies, coffee and was on my way. The people in front to me still had not been served. This is not typical of my experience with Starbucks. Caveat emptor!

Like every other Starbucks around the area same seating inside and outside, drive thru ordering and same with inside. They offer food to order and same with drinks including free WIFI! The customer service from the staff could use some work but other than that it was a great experience.
(4)
Stephen R.
We come to this Starbucks at least once every two weeks if not every week. It is conveniently located in between our house in Orlando and my parent's house in Tampa. This is by far the slowest Starbucks we have ever been to... Consistently. Service is poor, you would be lucky if you get much more conversation than 'what can we get for you'. We thought that this time we would go inside to speed things up and get a better experience but that didn't change anything.
(1)
Danielle M.
This place has completely impressed me! I used to always stop at the Starbucks in Lakeland off exit 33 on the way to Tampa, and this one is way faster!!!! I always stop at this location now, and yes, the drive through is a little slow...but the other location's drive through wait is 30+ minutes! They got my vote here!
(5)
Emily R.
I stop here a few times a week and every time I always say I shoulda done dunkin'. This has to be the slowest drive through Starbucks has. I've waited over 20 minutes multiple times for my drink. On the days I go, I have to build an extra 15-20 minutes into my commute to make up for their slowness. Thanks Starbucks
(2)
Jeff P.
Slow service and unpleasant (maybe new) baristas to deal with- not all but most of them. They're lucky that it's off next to the corridor of i4.
(1)
Kate T.
I stop here every time we drive to Orlando - and the staff are usually consistent and friendly. Every once in a while I've had a rough time trying to get what I want, and since 99% of the time we come here it is through the drive through and then onto the interstate - it is hard to turn back around and get it fixed. They are open 24 hrs too - which I count as a big plus!
(4)
Alyx K.
The billboards say open 24/7 and they mean that, as I've stopped here on many an odd hour and holiday. Great drive through service and employees who are very friendly despite those odd hours and holidays, too. Only reason I'm holding back the fifth star is that the logistics when leaving the drive-thru are a bit annoying but if you are on that dead stretch of I-4 between Tampa and Orlando and need that caffeine fix, seeing their sign on the horizon over the interstate is a beautiful thing.

This Starbucks is really slow. If you have an extra 20 minutes in your travel schedule then that won't bother you. But if you have somewhere to be, don't stop here!

So disappointed. Midnight stop after a TB Rays game. After requesting bold drip, I was told they had no bold. I then asked for a pour over and a second girl told the cashier they were too busy for that (really???? It's midnight! It's not rush hour!!!). Cashier says I'll be happy to brew you a bold coffee, we keep waiting and after some time realize she forgot us, we reminded her we were still waiting. Suddenly we are served a coffee, I ask "Is this bold?" And was told "yes". After getting back on the road I realize I was served old, COLD, coffee that was most likely pike place. Thanks for taking my money and I'm really sorry I gave you a good tip in advance!

dead roaches on the floor, rude barrister behind the counter. Ended up walking out after waiting 15 minutes and not getting my drink (and there was no one else in the store and the drive through was not busy). The best: the rude employee had the nerve to flip me off on the way out the door. To the short white girl with extremely short black hair, watch out, you never know who a customer may know at the corporate office!!!! Just saying.

Super busy on Sunday morning, but with the usual efficient Starbucks quality of service, it wasn't a terrific problem. Getting in and out of the parking lot, however, leaves a lot to be desired.

I am not that active on this site, however I decided to write a review after the terrible service we had this Starbucks location. I have to add that I am a gold card member of Starbucks and I have 2 pounds of their Thanksgiving blend bought up for the holidays. Tonight in route to a meeting in Lakeland, FL, we decided to stop at this location for coffee, water and a snack. We initially requested a brewed coffee and preferably Thanksgiving blend if they had it. The lady in the drive thru was very very short with us and blurted out they were no longer serving the Thanksgiving Blend for the season. We then started to change our order and before we could finish, the lady cut us off and told us our order total. We asked for several items such as muffins, cookies, snowman cookies etc and each item we requested they were out of them. She never made suggestions as to what was available. She acted as if she was doing us a favor just by taking our order. I rarely get too angry with a sales person however tonight I wanted to to drive off without our order. However we followed thru and endured their slow service. There will be no more stops at this location!

Slow service and unpleasant (maybe new) baristas to deal with- not all but most of them. They're lucky that it's off next to the corridor of i4.
