"We love this place!! Great views, excellent food(love the po-boys with the sweet potato fries) AND a playground for the kiddos. Not as busy as the restaurants on the beach!"

I stopped by this place after a long day of boating in Perdido, and it had a dock which was a plus. I loved the view and the calm atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and got us everything we needed. I ordered the gumbo, which was delicious, and the sweet potato fries, which I had been craving for a while. My favorite was the fried crab claws with cocktail sauce. It was such a treat. I will definitely be coming back for those!

My family had not been to Perdido in a few years so we were unsure of what places were still around. This was not far from where we stayed so we decided to check it out. The service was fantastic and we all really enjoyed our drinks and the view. I would def recommend this place. The food was not top notch but the atmosphere made up for it.

I liked this place. You get to sit outside and enjoy the ocean view. I ordered the the blackened fish with a pico de gallo type side and it was refreshing and good. My wife ordered the scallops and they were generous with the amount and it was fresh. Price of the food is normal, not too expensive and not too cheap for seafood. I would recommend it.

I am almost reluctant to tell the world about one of the best kept secrets in the Pensacola area. Certainly, there are several places with above average seafood. There are fewer places with great settings, on the water, with attractive views. There are almost no places like the Sunset Grille, which successfully combines both of the above attributes in a fantastic fashion. Set on a west facing point on Perdido Key, Sunset Grille overlooks the IC waterway, with boats and jet skis providing constant entertainment. The sunsets are spectacular, as well. The west facing porch, with the booths and a counter are the sought after seats, for good reason. The setting is matched by the food -- seafood, with most of the popular varieties, are prepared fried, grilled, or blackened. I have tried the blackened grouper poboy, the fried shrimp poboy, and the grilled grouper Reuben (yes, you saw that right, and it is fantastic) and all are excellent. Most seafood is fresh, and what isn't will be pointed out. The sides are OK, but they aren't the highlight. This is a seafood restaurant, and the focus is on the right things. Worth the drive!

Get the Grouper! My wife got the Grouper Rueben and I chose the Grouper Bites reluctantly as I am not a Fish guy. We were both impressed with the quality, flavors and service.

The most noteworthy thing about Sunset Grille is the setting - you can eat while watching the sun set over the water, which is a rare find (water views on the coast are usually south-facing). When we ate there, it was under construction and our server said they are expanding the patio to include more outdoor seating on the water, which is a great move for them. The seafood chowder is to. die. for. They have little signs on the napkin holders about how to order it by the gallon. We laughed about that when we sat down, but after the first bite we wanted to know how we could have it shipped by the gallon back home to Nashville. Seriously. I had the blackened shrimp with cole slaw and french fries. The seasoning on the shrimp was divine, but it was way too greasy. That was my only complaint about the food. One thing I did not like was that everything was served on/in styrofoam, along with plastic utensils. Honestly, I hoped that was due to it being under construction. If that's normal, I hope they will consider changing to something more environmentally-friendly. I would definitely recommend Sunset Grille to a friend, especially because a lot of the restaurants in this area are touristy with jacked up prices and mediocre food. Sunset Grille is none of those things and I suspect that it is a place where the locals eat.

Frequent vacationer to this area, but this was our first time to this establishment. Heard about it on Yelp and decided to try it. We were quite happy. It's a bit small, but has an authentic feel and the view and general harbor atmosphere is terrific. The sunset was indeed lovely. Great Old River views. Food was good. Uncomplicated and fresh. They accommodated our large group...but we were there early. The owner was on-site and very engaged and helpful. Definitely going again next year!

YES! I've lived in the South for how long now and put off trying a Po-Boy sandwich until I discovered this little GEM of a restaurant! The location is a little awkward to get to, but once you grab a table, the views are AMAZING! The wait staff AND kitchen staff are always very friendly, talkative (but not annoying) and very accommodating. I thoroughly enjoy the hush puppies, their home made tartar sauce and their blackened shrimp Po-Boy! I can do without their desserts. This is a super casual BUT must eat at kind of place!

Great seating right on the water of the inter-coastal! Get the Blackened Grouper Rueben - best food on the Key. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere make this the perfect place to eat.

I share the same view from my condo with the Grill, but still take the time to drop over for some good food and company. Worth the visit. Particularly at sunset.
