Tap room is great, beer is alright. Dont expect much hop aroma or bitterness with many of the beers. Beers taste and smell some what skunked in my own opinion. But im use to a west coast style of beer. This place is hard to find, the website doesnt give the breweries actual location. The brewery is over 3 miles away from the address. We had to ask a few locals for the right way to get there. If you plan brewery visits while traveling this place is on the lame side. I asked our server what type of hops they use and received a snarky remark to avoid sharing details about their beer as if I was trying to steal their receipt or something. It was disappointing for I was trying to understand why the beer smelt old and skunked.

Was visiting family in Pensacola last week when we discovered this place. We were in the mood to try some local flavor, and we got just that! Unfortunately it was chilly while we were there, so I only tried the amber ale, but did like it! Will have to come back if I'm visiting again to try others!

Hands-down this is the best brewery in Pensacola. (Full Disclosure: It's also the only stand-alone brewery in Pensacola!)

This is a small set up, but I was surprised at the variety that was offered. I got the flight, which is pre determined, but includes 9 samples of the more classic brews (wheat, amber, porter etc). The sample size was good and the flavor was excellent. The 'lil Napoleon (IPA) was really good and I could have easily had a few. Several others were available but I didn't try any, would have liked to have tried the Imperial Stout. I was there on a Tuesday and it was pint nite, 3 dollar til close I think. Worth a trip if you're a beer fan. Tap house feel, no food, nice outdoor section.

Great little brew pub. Stopped by to try a few ales and buy a keg for the kegerator. Ended up buying a keg of Riptide Amber, they have a whiskey stout that is really good, I would recommend stopping by for a few cool ones, nice quite area to relax.

Great IPA's Lil Napoleon is my fav beer! Barkeeps are very very nice peoples! Whenever friends come into town, it's PBB we take them!

I've been 3 times & have never been warmly welcomed by its staff. The beer is OK, but often flat. I've no desire to return. Beer drinkers, you'll find World of Beers on Palafox to be far more accommodating.

Absolutely adore this place! Pup-friendly inside and out! Awesome selection of beers on tap, great staff, and great atmosphere!

Had to wait for service until the server finished visiting with a customer. I don't have a problem with that, except she saw me standing there and made me wait an exceptionally unacceptable length of time. When I finally got service, I extended my hand for my change which she proceeded to put down on the bar--REALLY RUDE! The brews are great! Service leaves alot to be desired. I think I'll give it a rest for awhile.

One of the best IPAs and I've had my fair share. Taproom is great and owners/workers are all very welcoming. I think my main complaint is that they do not accept cards.. Only cash and checks which is why 4/5 stars (would really give 4.5 out of 5)

Try the blonde cream ale! Lager style...light...smooth.. hint of hops. Cool local brewery. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Beer was decent... Servers were very defensive about their ability to not fill a 64 oz growler. I can fill a128 oz though.... Stupid Florida!!!!!

The bartender here was extremely helpful! My friend and I went here to pick up gifts for the groomsmen in her wedding. They sell large sealable bottles so that you can take your beer to go. She bought each of the guys a large bottle each with a different brew so that they could try all of them. The tender was so helpful, she put their names and the name of the brew on the top of each bottle so that we wouldn't get them confused. We got to taste small samples of each beer to help us decide what the guys would like. There wasn't a single one that I didn't like. If you are in the area and like trying new beer, you have to go here!!

Cool little local brewery. Small quiet spot on a Saturday night, bunch of families in and out. Good chill spot nothing crazy good to relax and have a few craft beers. Had a flight of 8 of their non seasonal brews while watching the Olympics. Really nice spot I'll be back next time I have a chance.

The bartender was wonderful and very friendly. Southern hospitality at it's finest with a great selection of craft beers. Hope to be moving downtown soon and will definitely make this place a regular hangout.

They've got an amazing selection of beers plus some beers made by other places and even wine for the non-beer lovers. There's this nice little historic district of pensacola and the brewery is located right inside it. There's some nice outdoor seating with music playing or a really awesome bar inside. You can get a pint or a flight (which we did...the flight is 8 different beers I believe). There's no food, but everything else wine, beer, restroom, chatty people. Will grab a pint if I'm ever in Pensacola again and maybe a growler as well.

Pensacola Bay Brewery is A-Ok Their Beer is good Their location is convenient (walking distance (in) to historic dwn town) The atmosphere is splendid (where else do you get hops draped along the ceiling? see the very vats where your beer is becoming beer in front of your eyes!!!) Outdoor seating also available Service is somewhere between mediocre and decent You don't get to keep the glass anymore You CAN try everything, but they seem to let you know that it is a hassle Dont make the mistake of thinking a brewery will offer food beyond chips and pretzels Eat somewhere else before you have the beer wench give you a sample of everything :)

We attempt to stop in anytime we are close by. They've got an amazing selection of beers and a plus on parking next to the business. They will allow you to sample the beer you want to buy. You can also choose a flight that is a sample of the beers they make. They are located in the historic district of Pensacola. So, its a nice neighborhood to take a stroll in. Cons: They don't serve food and its a cash business only. But, they do have a atm on site. Enjoy!

Good location, yummy beer. Try the Barrel aged Porter. Atmosphere cute, but much too loud. Barkeep was standoffish, rolled her eyes @ other patrons & unfriendly.

  • Philip C.

For a local brewery they have a good selection. I would recommend they craft beer sampler which comes with 6 mini beers to find the one that you like. It is in the historic district so there are some cool pictures and such on the walls. Biggest downside is there is no food and space is extremely limited. If you get there with four cars in the lot it is likely there won't be any seats left.

Its a micro brewery with a bar inside! Buy a glass, a bottle or a jug and then the refills are around half that price when your empty! As your sitting at the bar having some of the locally brewed beer you can see it right behind you being brewed (pretty cool I know, I was there!!) I have been here a few times and will continue to come back every time I'm in the area. Beers you gotta try: Sawgrass (wheat) and DeLuna (IPA)

Great beer for the price. Only $4.50 a glass for whatever you get!! I liked the blackbeard stout had good head and slight coffee taste. I want to go back and try out more beers! They have about 10 on tap! Only reason not 5 stars is because they do cash only.

Nice setup for this up and coming brewery. Service was attentive and knowledgeable about all the beers. The Lil Napoleon and Conquistador were my favorites but there is definitely something there for everyone.

Great selection of beer. Lil Nepolian IPA, Pensacola Bay ESP, Raspberry, and a wheat. All tasted great. Building was in a great location next to a park. We sat outside with the dogs but they allow them inside to the small tap room. About 6 tables inside and out. No food except some snack but they allow you to order or bring your own food. No credit card accepted but there is an ATM. Beers were only $4.50 and pint glasses were $3.95, fairly good prices for a brewery. I enjoyed all the types of beer we ordered and the crowd as well as the employees were fun and laid back and made the experience that much better. We will have to come back and get a bottle or a growler!

I visited this lovely little place about a year and half ago shortly after they opened. The space itself is just like i remembered. A few tables outside, a few inside, and a nice little bar. The bartender was great and helpful with the beers and keeping them coming if you wanted or letting you slow down. They even agreed to let us do two half pints in place of a whole so we could enjoy all the beers beyond just he sample glass. I really enjoyed the porter, the stout, the extra pale ale, and the raspberry weiss. I was less impressed with the brown and amber. Still good beers they seemed to be lacking in any flavor that really jumped out at me. I applaud their attempt at the whiskey porter but the whiskey taste was just to much and overpowered the beer. It is a very common thing to happen in bourbon and whiskey beers though. I will return here for sure. It is a great little spot to grab a few pints and chat. Just know it is cash only so don't be that guy.

What more to say....award-winning craft beer nestled in historic Olde Seville Pensacola. The selection keeps growing, and the brewers are keen to offer seasonal and small batch delicacies as well. And you will not find a more gregarious brewer than Mark Robertson, who is always quick to share his expertise.

This place has never let me down. It is fantastic. I love the smoke free atmosphere inside. You can order a sampler and try each of the beers in the recommended order, or try them any way you want. They also have fantastic seasonal beers if you are looking to change things up.

Had heard a lot about this place, so on my most recent visit to the Northwest Florida area, went there with my brother. LOVE IT! It's an interesting operation they have going...they don't have a liquor license, so you buy the glasses and get the beer to go with it. I don't know the details, I just know it works, because the beer is worth it. All the ones we tried were fantastic. The Brown Ale was my personal favorite, and I left with several handsome pint glasses to put in the beer fridge. Beer aficionados, definitely check this place out!

The skinny: The proprietors have put together a nice little speak easy to visit for a while and chill with some very good beverages. Last weekend, I was looking for a place to take family to get out of the house. I am not a 'mall rat' nor do I really like to window shop on main street. After sitting for an hour with my bride, she volunteers at a local community gallery, she reminded me of the the new brewery. Three weeks earlier we had procured a couple of PBB pints of the Brown Ale which was delicious. The small bit left in the bottle was used as a base for an outstanding chili. The place is has a quirk of that you 'aren't' buying the beer but you do pay a fee for the glassware, pint glasses, mugs, and resealable bottles called growlers. I may not understand the intricacies of the business model and how it interacts with the liquor laws of the state, but I sure do recognize a quality small batch product when I taste it. YUM! and BRAVO! They had six or seven beers/ales on tap when I was there and of course these will vary when you are there. A sampler is a sure bet to taste the range of libations. They also offer a small selection of snacks in bags and a couple of soft drinks. The prices were fair for small batch artisan products and you get the glass; this is NOT your $2 dollar pitcher. To be honest, I can't remember the price exactly but it seems that it was about $6-8 a pint. Be sure to bring cash or they are at the ready with an on site ATM machine. The room is smallish but host a bevy of table tops mounted on casks. It is sparsely decorated but not spartan, I particularly like the sprays of hops that hung from the beam. They have it lowly lighted and have some warmly dark woodwork that matched the barrel tables and bar. The vibe is low key but, friendly; I had no problem striking up a chat with another beer lover as I waited for the barkeep to take my order. There is something about another home brewer that you can sense. A beer maker radar I guess, and the place was full of 'em. The room also includes a peek into the brewing facility through a sliding glass door. Next time I am in, I will be able to ask about the facility and if they (I hope, I hope) give tours ad look forward to a sit down with some of the brewers. Verdict: Well appointed place for the beer aficionado to the person looking for a clean friendly and mellow vibe to have a well crafted libation. See you there this weekend ;).

Beer, what more can I say, is already a five star affair, but actually getting to watch it being brewed, along with interesting conversation with the brew master who's telling what goes what and where, or what to drink next (great flights). This is a needed great little place. The DeLuna Beer was my all time favorite. Need someting to do, come here, and learn about flights. Love the buy a glass policy, its ingenious, great afternoon music too.

Great beer. Get to keep the glass for free. Worth the trip. Had the porter that won a recent competition. Very well done!

I dropped by the Pensacola Bay Brewery the other night after shooting a wedding at The Lee House across the street. I thought it was really cool. I was only there for about half an hour because I arrived when they were doing last call. I liked the fact that you can see the brewery through a glass window from the inside of the bar. It's a nice touch. The bartender, who I assume to be the owner, was also very nice. Even though it was last call, he kept dropping by to see if we were alright and made us feel at home. As far as the beer is concerned, I had the Pensacola Amber. It was delicious! I also liked the fact that you get to keep the glass with the Brewery's logo on it once you're done. It's a nice glass and I'll definitely use it at home. If you're in the area and are in the mood for some good hospitality and even better beer, this is the place for you.

Their beer is certainly above average, though the IPA was a little catty/grassy and the saison a bit too much of a barnyard flavor for my personal liking; but that's all personal choice. The Porter and Amber are extremely well done. The employees were very friendly. It is tiny inside - probably 10 seats at the bar and 3-4 tables. Outside there is probably 7-8 tables so we found a seat out there. Personally, I would have liked to have sat inside to take on the full experience. Hopefully they will expand someday soon, their product warrants it.

Super cool brewery! A little hole in the wall brewery a few blocks away from Palafox, but well worth the walk. This brewery has onsite parking, a friendly and welcoming vibe with a super cool feature... PET FRIENDLY! We came here on a scorching hot Saturday and found ourselves get lost in the quality of beers that were offered. One thing about this place that we wish we had known, it only accepts cash. I gave this location 5 stars because the friendly staff, clean brewery, and had an ATM next to the bar counter.

I struggled between a 3 and a 4, but since this is my preferred watering hole, I'll go with a 4. I love this place. Love it. The imperial IPA is awesome, and so is the whiskey porter. They are dog friendly outside and have water bowls for my canine friend. The few not-so-great things are the cash only thing....grrr I never have cash! More importantly--I wish they would vary their beers on tap. Its been about the same since they opened with a couple of seasonals and a handful of temporary styles thrown in. Can we get some new brews mixed in with the classics? I know they have the talent to do so!

For a small micro brewery, the Pensacola Bay Brewery has an incredible selection with 14 of their own beers on tap. We did the flight which included eight samples, plenty to share between the two of us. All were great, but the Bayan Brown and Blackbeard Porter were especially great beers. The tour was a lot of fun too. The master brewer who led it was informative and absolutely hilarious. This was a great, unexpected find during our stop in Pensacola!
