Good food, but their menu is really distracting and hard to read! But if you make it through the menu, there is free Ice Cream.

So happy we have a Pensacola location! I really wish they had better signage! You almost have to know where they are to find them or chance upon the location. Food is great, people are friendly. Can't go wrong with the pulled pork and brisket. Sides are great too. Free ice cream as standard for Dickeys, however no bud dill pickle bucket ;( can't wait to take the kids in Sunday(eat free)' that was one of our family traditions in Georgia at our Old local Dickey's. Welcome to Pensacola!

Find another spot for lunch! The employees here are going to kill someone. We arrived at 11 when they opened. They should've kept the doors locked. I ordered a big bbq sandwich - the meat was COLD. The bbq scooped over the sandwich was lukewarm. The guy at the counter had ZERO personality. The beans were warm. The fries were hot, simply because they just deep fried them! Jennifer at the register made a comment about the prices going back up almost a dollar. After paying the higher price, we moved to the fountain soda machine. It took 5 minutes to get a couple spoonfuls of ice. This is a Coke account and you've recently opened! Call Coke and have them fix it! It's part of the service agreement! They don't want their logo / name associated w this mess! After swallowing the cold meal, there was an ice cream machine w free ice cream. Until we tried the lever - milk mixture poured out. The machine was on hibernate and had not frozen the mix! As we watched the machine, it finally kicked into 'freezing' mode and a fan blew a nauseating smell of soured mix. Not cleaned lately / properly? Then we wondered how long the mixture stayed in the machine. The machine started dripping mix onto the counter below the machine. An employee walked by as I verbalized my concerns - zero reaction / response! So disappointing!

Excellent food and great service. My new favorite BBQ place in Pcola. I highly recommend mixing the spicy and sweet sauces. Oh and Ex-military discount too.

Yes! What a nice surprise finding this little gem was. Great food. I had the rib plate with Mac and cheese (recommended by the chef and definitely on point!) and onion tanglers. The ribs did, in fact, fall off the bone. The combination of the onion tanglers and Mac and cheese might just become what I request for my last meal - so delicious! Bonus: you get an ice cream cone with your meal.

Had the brisket and it was wonderful! It has the best fried okra I've tasted Since my grandma passed. We will be regulars here

If you like good barbecue, you've come to the right place. Brisket and ribs. Best in town. Nice people that work there too. Will go back ASAP.

I visited this new BBQ restaurant for the first time tonight. They're in a great, convenient spot. Being new, it's popular and clean, with a nice atmosphere and music playing quietly overhead. However, tonight was fairly slow (the only person in line and maybe 15 people in restaurant). Upon walking in, a little bit of confusion sets in for the first time guest. I was greeted by a nice fellow who told me about the nights special "pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a drink" which I happily ordered. Then I stood there looking at him and down a long walkway to the cash register (think Moe's, Subway, etc without the sneeze guards). After a few moments I walked to the cash register to pay while the fellow fixed my meal. Then I was told that he'd take my full order (he didn't ask for my two sides) and was directed back to him. So I went back and stood there. Again. A nice young woman asked me if this was a "special" to which I replied "yes." Then she asked if I wanted any sides, to which I replied, "Isn't that what makes it a special?" I was slightly confused and I think she might have been as well. Fast forward to a minute later and I was taking my paper covered metal tray with my pulled pork sandwich, macaroni and cheese, and potato salad to my table. They have good sweet tea, which is a must for any true southerner. They also have free ice cream with every meal, extra bonus. My sandwich is big and the meat was flavorful and moist. I enjoyed it. There were pickles and onions on the sandwich. Unfortunately, the powerful onions detracted from the flavor of the meat. The mac and cheese and potato salad were nothing to write home about. The sides seemed "cafeteria-ish" if I'm being honest. I'm eating nibbling on them while writing this review to change my mind, and it's not happening. Overall, I give the food and atmosphere 4 stars. The staff should be a little more welcoming and understand that new people have no idea what to do when they walk in. It's just confusing if you're up there alone. I've had better BBQ in Pensacola (Arlene Williams) but this is a much better location and will appeal to a lot of people. Give it a try and see what you think. Now, I'm off to get some ice cream!

Good service. Food was good. Military discount. Fast service. Clean and free ice cream. About 10-12$ per person. Solid B overall.

Kids eat free on Sunday's & Finally a place that serves the big bbq potatoes very good!

This chain restaurant did not impress. The meat servings were a bit small, my brisket was dry and tough, and the polish sausage was mediocre. The side dishes were the only redeeming part of this meal. The Mac and cheese was very good, as well as the fries, green beans and fried okra. I won't make an effort to return here, but if forced to return, I'll make a meal from the side dishes only.

Great food! Great prices! Great employees! We pulled into Pensacola and looked at ratings on Yelp. Saw this place and thought we would try it! The cost for a family of 5 was great! We asked one of the employees what is good and he gave us a rundown of the menu, extremely helpful! The food was great!....and free ice cream cone at the end....we will be going back before we leave.

So I come to this location at least 1 time a week either a Friday or Sunday and sometimes both. I will first say the pulled pork is my favorite that I get every time. I obviously come here for the food and not the service or organization of this restaurant. First of all, don't be in a hurry when you come especially if it's during normal food times such as lunch. The whole flow of the ordering process is broken. They consistently have a bottle neck in the ordering process due to you having to place the order with the "meat" person. That person should only be focusing on getting the meat on the trays since they weigh every morsel (which is weird too) and not taking the initial order. They always look stressed and are always sweating and the people in line are not too happy either. They need to have someone else take the initial order to allow the "meat" person to focus on getting the orders out faster. Secondly, there is hardly ever a manager seen working. Some of the employees are lost puppies with the initiative of a snail. An example, today I watched employee "Alexis" be informed by an older customer that the tea was not sweet. My first thought, this has happened to me here at least 3-4 times. They need to get some training to the employees as to how much sugar too add EVERY TIME. Consistency is key. Anyways, Alexis was told the tea was not sweet and another customer agreed. She (Alexis) tries the tea herself and I over hear her saying to another co worker "it's good enough!" Well no it's not when you have customers pouring your tea out and getting soda or water. It's wasteful when all you have to do is add some sugar which was warranted. This like I said has personally happened to me on 3-4 different visits. Then another quirk is, if you need to place a to-go order you have to go back and stand in line again. They need to work this process out. Today I saw one guy say he was just going to go to Sonny's drive thru cause it's faster. It is simple enough to place a simple to-go with the cashier and let them fix it as they can while you are eating and then bring it to your table. Simple option in my opinion especially when you have kids, who wants to stand in the slow as sand line again? Not me! Don't get my post wrong, I like the food. It's the rest of the process/experience that needs some attention by management. Otherwise they will not make it at their price per plate.

My son and I tried this for the first time last night. Very clean, as in the staff is cleaning the entire time while being very friendly, making sure you have everything you need. We had to wait on our sides, onion rings and fried okra, and the man that brought it out to us was very apologetic for our wait. As for the flavor of the food, eh, it was okay, nothing to brag about. My brisket was a little dry and my son's ribs were just okay, his words. My son loved the free ice cream but what 16 year old boy wouldn't? The green beans were very peppery which is fine for me but may be too much for others. Neither of us were impressed with the bbq sauce flavors so as far as us returning, probably not. It seemed a little pricey as well.

Just went tonight 12-31-14. Been waiting for this place to open up. COL Tim has done a great job. Busy as expected for new BBQ joint, but well worth the wait. Food was great and service was outstanding. Very clean inside. Will be back soon. Blows the other chain BBQ places out of the water!! So new, was not even in Yelp yet.

Stayed at the hotel near by and my wife and I figured we would give this place a shot. The pulled pork was really good and tender but it lacked natural flavor, so we used there nba sauce which was good but not the greatest. The brisket was the same way, but the fries and Mac n cheese were amazing! We got take out and the quality of the food containers was really good and nice thing to have on take out.
