High Blood Pressure at Applebee's
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.
Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure
Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.

Great lunch specials and good food at fair price. The Watterson roast beef sandwich is excellent. Service was good in the tavern, sports bar type atmosphere that is even ok for kids. I will be back.

This was the worst eating experience I have had in years. My party went to see the final basketball game. We were seated and order taken. It was down hill from there. No service or notice for a long time. No beer, no water s, and no app s served. We ordered our entre and 45 minutes later some got served. I never received my wing basket. So put out that we left the bar right after half time. Talked to manager and he was not very interested in my experience. Paid and will go elsewhere. The beefs in Lynn haven is such a good place, I can't get over how bad this place was compared to that one. Drive to Lynn haven if you must go to beefs.

Stopped in for burgers. They were average. Not bad, but not great. The decor is kind of hard to follow, a bit too busy. Sports bar style combined with neighborhood pub. Service was friendly, food was delivered fairly quickly. Just an average place. Your experience might be better. I have had better burgers, but then I have had worse.

Nice, well-rounded menu. Pretty solid service typically. Love the fish tacos, and the steak tacos. Was not a fan of the fajitas though. I got the meat trio but they were just bland and the steak was rather tough.

More TVs than you can count! Perfect place to catch your favorite teams. Bar is awesome love the "local" selections of draft beer. New management has certainly improved this place for the better.

One of the best places to watch the game. Several TVs, average prices and $2 rolling rock draft all the time. I've never tried their burgers however their wings, rice bowls and salads are delicious. They are always willing to change one of the many tvs to any game. There's been maybe 2 or 3 times when my waitress was subpar out of the 50+ times I've been but everything else about this place makes up for those rare occasions.

We have really wanted to like this Beefs since we live close, but it continues to let us down. Four of us went last night for a quick appetizer and a drink. Our order was taken quickly, but then it was 45 minutes for us to get wings and cheese fries. The bacon cheese fries, which were the special for Oktoberfest were just bad. A small order, soggy fries and bacon that tasted like bacon bits. The wings were just OK. We seem to hit this Beefs every few months after we forget about our last visit, but it just doesn't improve. Beer prices on the high side and they can't even really do bar food well.

Good service and food. Had the $6.50 sandwich and salad combination (Cuban and Caesar) and it was good and plenty of food. Onion rings were very good also.
(4)Wendy T.
The food, atmosphere all really good, service, not so good, waited a long time for everything from the initial drink order to getting the check. Ugh!

Went here for Saint Patrick's Day expecting to see lots of Irish food on the menu and was quite disappointed. They were not even offering corned beef and cabbage. Most of the menu is just typical bar food: burgers, chicken wings, fried stuff.. Since I had coming wanting something Irish I tried the "Dubliner" - which is roast beef with sliced mushrooms, broccoli, mashed potatoes and a Guiness based gravy - it was reasonably good but nothing too special.. There is virtually nothing else even vaguely Irish on the menu.. They have Guiness and one other Irish beer on tap, that is about it.. Also, the place was not very crowded given that it is St Pats, probably because calling it an Irish bar is almost fraudulent.. They do have a fairly good selection of bottled beers.. But in general this is a nothing too special kinda place..

Visited here twice and have been pleased each time. It has a sports bar atmosphere, but I would feel comfortable bringing the family here. The service has always been really attentive.

Happy Hour is a deal for beer and wings here in the Bible Belt where lots of locals got to midweek church. Tried the regular wings drowned in sweet jalapeño sauce, then tried the boneless one. Should have read the menu - thick, hard fried coating this time drowned in teriyaki sauce. Oh well. Good service though and a tasty cherry limeade cooler helped lot.
