the food was good but the service could improve. hopefully now that Kimpton is taking over they will add there touch to this place and kick it up a notch.

Went on the cooking demo + tour of the organic farm used for their cooking supplies. OMG I am impressed. The care and the innovation is a sheer delight. Wow!!! wow!!!! If excellence in food, and cuisine, is a priority for you, then the chef in residence is your man. He's a rock star to me. Willing to explain the behind the scenes and thus impress the hell out of you! Ate there again on 12-22-2013 and it was EXCELLENT!! Service, atmosphere and food. mm m m

It's hard to give this place 2 stars because I would never want to eat here again. We came on NYE for a set menu however so perhaps we didn't get to taste the full range of the menu. I would think they put their best items on the set menu though.... The lobster bisque was so terrible we sent it back (which I have never done). Our waiter was very nice but the service in general in this place was weak. I would compare Malcolm's to an average cruise line dining experience in every way.

We love to have lunch on the terrace at the Omphoy, so we thought we would enjoy having a nice dinner upstairs at the actual restaurant. We found our dishes to be overall bland. Service was lazy. Very disappointing considering the price. Will continue to have drinks and appetizers on the terrace, but will not dine-in again.

What's not to love... The hotel is beautiful and the view is perfect. We come here often and always enjoy the meal! The crab and avocado starter is delicious as well as the crab cakes. Any entree you try is fresh and perfect. The chef is excellent and very friendly. LOVE LOVE this place!!

Beautiful setting, wonderful ambiance, highly recommend for date night. I had the grilled vegetable salad and crab cake entree. It was amazing! The crab cakes is worth returning for over and over again. Has a nice, light crunchiness and it was not diluted with bread crumbs like most restaurants. I would not recommend the shrimp tacos. Was expecting something different, the taco was fried like a taquito. The carrot cake and key lime pie were very tasty. I don't know why we ordered that since we were so full from our entrees. The wait staff was superb and very attentive. Will definitely be returning.

We asked to eat outside for dinner to enjoy the ocean. Food was fabulous. Personalized visit from the chef Russel was a great touch. We wish they turned the deck outside into the main dining room of Malcolm's with candles. It would be the perfect touch. The food though is always good. The NY steak with their homemade sauce was incredible. The grilled vegetable salad is always delicious. We love it and keep coming back for more! Our waitress Desiree was great and very friendly!

I hate to be harsh but I hate dropping good money on bad food. $200 for a $60 meal was painful and the $60 was for the wine. It's right next to the four seasons where we stayed this last week so we went. So I'll hit the ambience first. We walk in and it's dead. Of course open tables not working as usual and we are told that's the reason for the emptiness on a Thursday night. Everything is painted black with blue lights and a couple of Buddhas hanging around. For me saving on money rather than looking simplistic and modern. The view out the windows is amazing and to watch a sunset here over cocktails might be the way to go. They had a good wine list but we were told that they were out of most that was on it due to vendor changes. There was also a new chef and new management entirely so we felt we were coming into a mix of all of this. We ordered some pasta for the kids, a fish dish and a gazpacho and salads and a bottle of wine. The pasta was literally floating in olive oil and was so mushy at first I thought they had served is mashed potatoes. The flavor was pretty good but you needed a spoon to eat the pasta soup and a coronary bypass in a few years. The gazpacho was mundane. Fish was uneventful, definitely over cooked and topped with a sauce we can't even remember it was so boring. The waitress informed us that the chefs keep changing so we are not sure who was running the kitchen that night but pretty much everything was mediocre with a posh price tag. Won't be back and won't send anyone over. Eat at Jove at the four seasons if you want quality food with a proper price tag. The service was so nice I hope the restaurant succeeds just to keep them employed or maybe they should check out four seasons where joves service is a bit lacking.

One of Palm Beaches hidden gems inside The Omphoy hotel. I had my 30th birthday here this past February and it was absolutely amazing. The ambiance on the third floor overlooking the water is only outdone by the dishes that Chef Wurster puts out. My meal was so beautiful I almost felt bad eating it, but I got over my guilt quickly after my first bite. I have been there since for lunch (which for July and August in Palm Beach is considered "out of season") and the food is still amazing. I would defiantly have no problems suggesting this place to anyone with an appreciation for fine dining. Trust me, you won't be let down.

You pull up and you're like "wow" ... it's a Beautiful resort, beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view...food however was disappointing. Took my husband there for his birthday, had a early 6 pm reservation ... and they were already out of short ribs. Had the Cobb and Caesar salads both of which had no taste. Ordered the salmon, pork chops, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Sent the creamed spinach back ... It was cold but very salty. Pork chops wee tender but also too salty. Potatoes were gummy. Salmon was nothing special and a bit over cooked. Probably will not be back.

Medicore experience. Some of the staff was really professional&attentive, the rest not so much. We knew this used to be Michele Bernstein, so we asked the server who the new chef was. He said it was Russell or Steve but didn't know a last name ... I asked about the Squash blossoms and the server never mentioned it was deep fried-quite a shock when I was expecting something fresh &healthy. There was a piece of plastic bag in my "handmade" gnocchi. ( They comped my meal. ) We were a party of 7 and there were about 10 other ppl in the restaurant when they started turning up the lights, I guess to let us know if needed to finish up, even tho we hadn't ordered dessert yet. There is not a lot of server training here bc they brought our apps, entrees & dessert to the wrong people every time. In fact, when they brought us dessert they accidentally brought an extra one. The waiter, who had been very friendly the whole evening, said since we were celebrating a birthday we could just keep it. 2 min later we hear another server yelling "Where's my dessert? OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GAVE IT AWAY!!!" Awkward. Overall, not horrible, but nothing especially delicious I would come back for.

Took my hubby there for his birthday. SO SO happy I did! I mentioned when I made my reservation that it was his special day and we were seated and greeted with flutes of yummy champagne. It was VERY quiet (a Sunday night at the end of the season) and the music was trendy and cool and the view was lovely and I just felt so zen. Onto the food. All I can say is yummers! Had a peach and tomato salad to start and my husband had the burrata. High marks. Next course--lamb for the birthday boy and the Cobia on a carrot and ginger puree with curried cauliflower for me. The rest of the menu looks super-inventive as well. We split a dessert of a brulee duo that was also beautifully presented and scrumptious. As we were leaving we were presented with a little shopping bag with coffee beans and two mini-scones for breakfast! What a thoughtful touch! I can't speak for the scene in high season, but after enduring many ear-drum splitting, "meh" meals at some of the island's other dinner spots, it was such a relief to be able to have a New York quality meal and still hear myself think! We will definitely go back!

I'm giving five stars for the food. Inventive, tasty, wonderful presentation. They could be a little more generous with the side dishes. Waiter pompous, arrogant why do they still have him puzzles me. This French waiter helped us last time when it was Michelle Bernstein. Support staff (busboy) was very polite and attentive.Next time I go I will make a request not to be seated in his section. He almost ruined our evening.

We have been here two times. I can tell you this has been one of the best food I had'. Seriously, it is amazing. Sad to see that the restaurant was a little empty. Check out some of the pics i added. You will not be disappointed. The corvina was spectacular!!!!

Week at best. Crab cakes ok but bland. Filet also mediocre. Place was nearly empty but still had horrible service. Added a service charge on which was surprising considering we were a party of too and service was poor. Avoid. Had better food at Benny at the beach and better crab cakes.

THANK YOU MALCOLM STAFF! My husband and I had such a special 12th wedding anniversary dinner experience because of you. Our hostess greeted us with the biggest smile I've ever seen and happily accommodated our seating preference. The exemplary service continued as another man came to our table and surprised us with 2 complimentary drinks for our anniversary! Our waiter, Kevin, was very instrumental in helping us choose the right dishes for us, and indulged our request to take our picture to commemurate the occasion. The food was scrumptious and the portions generous. The filet mignon and snapper were the perfect, texture, bursting with delectable flavors that danced on our taste buds. My husband said the steak was cooked just right and I tried a piece of it. You could tell the meat was high quality and so tender. The red wine sauce perfectly complimented the natural steak flavor. The mashed "potatoes" which were actually celery root was in a word, yummy. I thought it tasted better than mashed potatoes but I couldn't place the flavor until Kevin told us. This is the way to eat your vegetables people! My husband ate every bite and he hates vegetables! The fennel "pancake" was also delicious, creamy, cheesy, with a firm, vegetable crunch. My snapper was also cooked just right and was very solid, yet tender. The edges were crisp and the center was solid and moist. The sauce was mild but complimented the fish very well. Also, the baby kale salad had the perfect balance of kale, beets, goat cheese, dried cranberries and pine nuts. Wow, it was yummy. My husband had the key lime pie. Whoa, you have to try this. The key lim is tart and the toasted meringue made it special. My pecan pie sundae was huge and the ice cream was top-notch. Again, the food was amazing but the staff was better. They kept on surprising us with their warmth and generosity! This is my new favorite restaurant!
This is the 6th time at this restaurant. It was definitely the best food that I have ever gotten there. I hope that this beautiful facility will be able to duplicate this outstanding meal

Yesterday was Drew's birthday and we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants...we go there at least twice a month...Malcolm's in the Omphoy in Palm Beach. Dinner was pure ambrosia. Our waitron recommended a lovely bottle of rose from Spain. We both had their special appetizer: a bowl of mussels in a tangy curry sauce...heaven in a bowl. For entrée's I had their awesome crab cakes and Drew had the perfectly prepared grouper. For desserts, I had the key-lime -pie and Drew had the chocolate cake. As always, dinner was excellent.
