The wife and I went here for our anniversary, and we were very impressed! When I made the reservation, they asked if we were celebrating anything. When we arrived, the table had some decorations and a rose waiting for us. They gave us a complimentary sample of their tuna steak with corn relish. It was delicious. I ordered the porterhouse steak, my wife had the citrus salmon, and we split a lobster Mac and cheese. Everything was fantastic! They then brought us a complimentary dessert with "Happy Anniversary" stenciled on the plate with chocolate! The little touches went a long way in my book. I'd definitely recommend coming here for a special occasion!

I've been to many capital grills, from Chicago to California. This is by far the WORST capital grill I've been to. Of course part of it , is it's Florida and no one keeps them accountable. I ordered the Chilean sea bass $44 it was over cooked & dry (really hard to do) The baked potato was stale like it was from yesterday and re-heated. I'm not going back here any time soon. Time to shake up that kitchen staff..... Not impressed at all!

I have been to Capital Grille's across the US from Seattle to DC and have only had one really lousy experience in Kansas City. This trip we were seated outside, even though we had a reservation at the Capital Grill. Unfortunately the wind was blowing 30-40 mph and it was actually cold! One of us had a medium well Delmonico and the other has a medium rare Delmonico; however, they both came out the same. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was a great side. Food: 2 star Service: 1.5 star Ambiance: 1-5 star depending on if you are in or out and the weather conditions Price: $175 for 3 There's better places in the West Palm Beach area.

5 stars for amazing service from Gianni. He is a new waiter at Capital and was great. My opinion is a great meal at a good or great restaurant is enhanced or ruined by the service. Gianni made a good meal great. Whenever one of us left the table, Gianni promptly folded the napkin. He checked with us right after the meals were brought to ensure they met our standards. He did his job to a higher degree than most. 5 stars also to the general partner who was working Tuesday evening. What was "good" he made great. One meal wasn't awesome. He made it so. Overall, a great experience. Thanks guys!

So I have to say.. I was very excited to go to Capital Grille for my birthday tonight but it was anything far from exciting. We were happily seated on time and given a great experience by Michelle but the food was not so great. I personally had a filet which tasted no better than a Publix filet I could cook up myself on the grill, my sister also had a filet which was wellllll over done and my brother got something he didn't even order and we weren't quite sure what it was ( their golden retriever is going to love them tonight!!!) not to mention my mom had to order her cocktail 2 times before it actually came to her. All in all the food was nothing better than par and our service was mediocre for being a high end restaurant. I probably will not go back.

Love the bar for people watching. Always delicious food. We went again recently right after work for a quick dinner. Filet - medium rare, cooked perfectly, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. All were delicious! Ended with the cheesecake and a cappuccino. Will be back!!

The pan seared scallops were so delicious. They were tenders and very moist with a delicious butter sauce. The asparagus were in a delicious butter &spice sauce. They were tender & so yummy. The salad was a variety of greens with yellow & red tomatoes, cucumbers, & olives in a vinaigrette dressing. The service was wonderful & I would go back there again. I give it a four stars. They had a variety of warm rolls with seeds, and delicious pita bread.

The Capital Grille team in Palm Beach Gardens created an incredible evening on Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. Every detail was perfect. The entire dining experience was excellent. On top of the incredible ambiance and excellent service, the meal was the best that we have ever had. Capital Grille is my favorite place to dine. They have the best steaks that I have ever tasted and the chocolate cake is amazing! You can expect incredible service and amazing food

6-27-15 late night dinner. All three of us in the party ordered the filet with a side order of asparagus. We order our dinner medium rare and when the meal arrived it was more rare then medium center of the meat was cold. We had to send it back. short time later it was delivered by the executive chef he made sure the meal was correct they also gave us an extra order of asparagus. The food was delicious the service is over the top , this place is first class in all facets of the restaurant. They comped one of our desserts I was kind of surprised that the meat came out the way it did the first time time because this is their specialty with that being said will definitely come back again. Considering the quality which by the way was awesome and the size of the meat, the prices are right on the mark Our server Caesar was excellent this place does it right

Had an amazing dining experience. Have dined at many Capital Grille locations, including ones in NYC. Marco was the best server and far exceeded all expectations. Had a pre fixed meal that included an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $35.00. Will definitely be back.

I was given a card for a free signature calamari app and a stoli doli cocktail so I recruited a friend who likes to dine fancy and we went hoping to sit at the bar and keep our bill low by splitting an entree. We got there around 7 and the bar and dining room were packed so they offered to let us sit outside. It was probably all for the best. Everyone inside was ancient and or a cougar. Our waitress Jessica was excellent. She made us feel really welcome. It was a while before anyone polluted the crisp Florida winter air with a cancer stick. I knew that would eventually happen because eating outside is for people without reservations and smokers. Since we were at a table I felt pressured to order for real so after the free stuff I ordered a glass of red zin to enjoy with my kona encrusted bone in sirloin. My dining partner went with the lamb chops. We split an order of lionized potatoes. The outside of my steak was a bit more cooked than I would have wanted but the inside was medium rare. Same thing with the chops, some were a perfect med rare and some were more cooked. The calamari was great. The pineapple infused martini was a winner. We tipped 20% on the full amount and I had a hunk of steak to take home for steak salad the following day!

Always great. Food is tasty and service great. Had a terrific graduation dinner for my son in their private room

A very disappointing experience chosen for My wife's and I 25th anniversary. We weren't pleased with are table. It was awfully noisy, hardly somewere you'd want to sit to celebrate an anniversary. Seemed like an eternity to be greeted by are server. He looked extremely busy and flustered. As to the food, the only thing Id recommend here is some steamed broccoli cause that's the only thing that was done right. My Porterhouse was extremey overcooked, and as I explained to the server. I was returned with a combative response that it be less done toward the bone. Wish it were true but how can you mess up a Med Rare when you do it everyday. Lobster mac n cheese smelled of ammonium, tell tell signs that the lobster wasn't fresh. Very disappointing for a award winning steakhouse. Wish I had chose Mortons Steakhouse, they always get it right.

We had a graduation dinner scheduled at Capital Grille on a Monday night. Reservations for 8 - obviously the food at Capital Grille is most often spot-on and delicious, what made this night special is not only the company we were with, but also the work of our server - Cesar Bravo - he made the whole evening special, knowing it was a special night - he paid particular attention to the "graduate" and made him feel as special as he is. Wonderful night - great selection of food was ordered, the bone-in filet can't be beat. Spectacular service, great food and wonderful 5-star rating. Thanks Cesar!

Awesome meal and even better service..... We really enjoyed it. The steaks were amazing the potatoes were excellent... And deserts were the cherry on top. Mijoo was a great server..... Attention to detail and on time every step of the way.

Giving this a five star based on my last experience. However, food and service is consistently between 4.5 and 5. The Generous Pour, lasting through the month of August is a wine tasting experience for $28 per person. You can taste three whites and five reds. If you like any of them, they will pour you more! That's enough for me to enjoy this place, but adding in a delicious bread basket, perfectly cooked filet, lobster mac n chz and a coconut cream pie= heaven. The service is also great! Everytime. Ok. I take back the 4.5 range. They deserve a 5 star review each and everytime. Keep it up CG! Can't wait for the restaurant month deals too!

Came here to get what I was expecting to be a top notch steak dinner. In short I was disappointed. The atmosphere is very nice, but waiter's demeanor was terrible! It was if he was speaking down to us like he was better than us and we didn't belong there. Very uninviting, especially when you are expecting professional high end service. I was tempted to even ask for a different server, but did not. It made me and my girlfriend very uncomfortable. I ordered a steak med-med rare and my girlfriend ordered salmon. We had a few glasses of wine as well. Steak came out med well and was completely average at best. I cook way better WholeFoods dry aged steaks on my own grill. The dinner was expensive, but I would not have minded if the prices reflected the quality of food, service and atmosphere. Maybe I had a rare bad experience though, or it's just this location.. But I will not be coming back unless someone is treating. All in all: disappointment and waste of money. Two stars because atmosphere was nice.

Great place for ambiance, dining experience and consistent food. No complaints!! Both steak that my husband and I ordered were cooked to perfection. The sides were equally as delicious. Fantastic ambiance and special ocassion place!

Wonderful food and service. The manager brought my friend and I roses just for fun- very sweet. Beware that the side dishes are separate from the main course in pricing but that is typical for a restaurant of this caliber.

It's not very often I can write about a perfect night out but it's not every night we eat at the Capital Grille off PGA in Palm Beach Gardens. It's expensive but we don't mind paying more when we get more and Capital Grille delivered. The atmosphere is upscale polished wood and linen tablecloths. I'm the guy who checks the floors and bathrooms when I walk through and couldn't find so much as a crumb out of place. The only ding on the ambiance is the music was a little loud and a bit out of place with the decor. Classical music at a lower volume might have fit better at the risk of seeming pretentious. Some of our experience was luck drawing Tony as our waiter. If I were going to synthesize all the qualities of excellent service into one person, Tony would be that guy. He was professional and personable and has the unique ability to put himself in your place. He took our vague preferences and turned them into a culinary experience that far exceeded our expectations. It was obvious to my wife and I that Tony not only loves food, he understands it. My wife had the wedge salad and I went with the shredded brussel sprout salad which was fantastic. For sides we ordered the lobster mac and cheese, which lived up to its legendary reputation, Sam's Smashed Potatoes and wild mushrooms. The mushrooms were the slightest bit oily, the only ding on the food. I had the lamb chops which were served with a side sauce and some kind of jelly made from cherries. It was simply the best food I've had anywhere in Florida south of The Garlic in New Smyrna. I can thank Tony for the superb preparation of the lamb, which he helped me cobble together from a bewildering array of options. My wife had the 8 oz fillet which was served with a wine reduction that was cooked to perfection. The next time we're at the Grille we're going to opt for a wider variety of food by using appetizers and sides as main dishes. The real joy at the Grille is the variety of tastes and the plan next time is to try more and share more. As it turns out we ordered enough food for three people and ended up bringing half of it home. The side dishes really are quite generous portions and keep in mind you can order half-portions for a wider variety. You get what you pay for in life and the Capital Grille is living proof. The Grille now ranks as my personal number one in service and a close second to The Bimini Twist as our favorite place to eat in the area. We will most definitely be back. Atmosphere: 4.5 (music was a bit loud) Decor: 5 Service: 5 Food: 4.7 (mushrooms were a touch oily)

This restaurant made our anniversary night such a memorable one! We were seated with the table decorated with a beautiful long stem pink rose and a card congratulating us. We were treated like royalty from the managers and staff coming over to congratulate us with free dessert and champagne toast as well as a free appetizer. I can honestly say if was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever experienced at a restaurant! Thank you Capital Grille!!

Ha! What an overrated steak joint! The atmosphere is nice, fancy and dark. Service is on par with most fine dining establishments. However, the food is terrible. The focus should be on the food, not the surroundings. I wonder if people know Capital Grille is owned by the same company who own Olive Garden (the insult to Italian food). This is not the place if you want great steak.

A phenomenal dining experience all around. The second we sat down for our anniversary dinner, water was poured and bread was brought to the table. The appetizer (prosciutto wrapped mozzarella) was out of this world and the lobster mac and cheese was also quite delicious (as a side for our steaks.) The filets cut like butter but I expected a LITTLE more flavor for a 42 dollar steak. All in all, however, phenomenal. The "special occasion" service was wonderful. A rose and a nice card awaited us at our table and a complimentary "happy anniversary" dessert and champagne was brought to us at the end of our meal. It was such a nice touch. I will GLADLY recommend this to anyone looking for a place to celebrate! Five stars!

WELL THAT WAS AMAZING! Food was phenomenal, service was fantastic and pleasant! The only complaint was that our drinks weren't always full, but if they would have been it would have been a no brainer 5 STAR! Atmosphere is absolute beautiful! We had gone to celebrate my brothers wedding, my parents anniversary and last but not least my better half and I first long distance long term vacation. Over all GREAT JOB! We will be back.

I made a reservation for my birthday with 4 of my girlfriends. This was my first time at capital grill. The whole experience was amazing!!! First, they set us up in our own private room, they had a birthday card waiting on the table with birthday confetti. The food was amazing and then they surprised me with a beautiful dessert with a candle on it, and happy birthday spelt out in chocolate, they took my picture and made me a card and also gave us all roses. I felt so special!!!! I think this will be my new birthday tradition! Thank you capital grill for making the big 32 so special!!!! AMAZING!!!

Extremely disappointed with this place. Even with a reservation we waited an hour. The waiter however was fantastic! We got a salad and clam chowder to start, average, steak was not seasoned, had no taste. Sides were ok. Cheesecake was good. Unfortunately did not enjoy the experience here.

Great food and superior service My husband and I made reservations for Saturday night at one of their peak busy times so we weren't surprised to find it packed when we checked in at 8:15. We were able to find a spot at the bar within 5 minutes and decided to order some wine. The hostess said upon check-in that they were running a bit behind. We ordered a bottle of wine to carry to the table and sipped a glass as we watched the Ferraris and Lamborghinis get valeted one after the other. At about 8:40, the manager approached us at the bar and apologized profusely for our wait and said to please order an appetizer and he'd take care of our bar tab. This was totally unexpected but highly appreciated as we were just relaxing and enjoying the people-watching with no real awareness of the time passing anyway. We were seated at 8:45 and had a very attentive and highly qualified server named Courtney. I informed her I have Celiac's and she made sure that no gluten was in any dish prepared for me. I had the surf and turf and it was divine. My husband had the night's seafood special with orzo and ate every bite. To top it off, I ordered the flourless chocolate cake, which I thought I'd take home to my kids, but didn't. I ended up eating it all. I didn't leave them any! (Bad Bad Mommy). It was too decadent- I wanted to lick the plate clean- Something you simply can not be seen doing at the Capital Grille-LOL. We've eaten here several times and it has always been good, but this experience of how they handled a delayed seating really one-upped the other 5 star establishments. We never brought it to their attention, and yet they were aware and without being asked, comped us a bottle of wine, an appetizer of delicious oysters and even the dessert. I'd have given it five stars without all the comps, because the food and service is already great- but they really went above and beyond to make sure their guests were treated like royalty Saturday night. Thanks again for a great evening.

we went there for our anniversary dinner. I ordered $20 glass red wine, when I had 2/3 of glass, I saw something in my glass, looks like a bug with legs. I stop drinking and show to the manager, he took the glass went to kitchen and came back confirmed was fly in my wine. He said sorry for the fly in your wine and I took the wine charge off your bill. Not only that incidence, some waitress were horrible. I won't recommend anyone go there. I won't be back .

Went last night with a small group. Started at the bar then moved to the dining room. Service in the bar was excellent. Once we got to the dining room however the service wasn't at such a high level. The water and bus staff was attentive. The waiter was knowledgeable. We ordered salads, apps, lobster mac, fish and steaks then another couple bottles of wine. The food was excellent with one exception - the $58 bone in filet was ordered medium and it came out well done. And if course the waiter was nowhere to be found. By the time the steak was returned everyone else had finished their meal. The waiter wrapped the steak to go and the manager apologized then comp'd the steak and dessert. But all and all it was very good even if the prices can be a bit crazy. I'll be back.

One day I got lost leaving the Palm Beach Gardens Mall, and ended up on the one across the street. I remember thinking at that moment how I could use a treat and wished for a Capital Grille restaurant nearby, feeling so far from midtown Manhattan. To my delight and surprise I saw a sign for a Capital Grille right in front of me at that moment. I literally looked up and thanked the lovely universe. I know. Dramatic. But it was that kind of afternoon. I was tired, stressed, and needed a treat. This Capital Grille location has become my favorite thus far. The service here is truly first class. I'd give them a 10 out of a 10. I've walked in a couple of times, during the late afternoon, with no reservations and they've always sat me. They have valet parking. Talk about a de-stressing experience. This location is nothing like the hi-powered feel of the midtown Manhattan spot I am used to visit. This one instead has a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. It even has outdoors tables. That's the beauty of being in South Florida, near the blue skies, warm weather and palm trees that surround this location. The few times I've been here, the people who handle my table have been nothing short of first class, obliging me to leave as big of a tip as possible, because your average 20% doesn't feel enough. On the food, for appetizers, the clam chowder is pretty good. I wouldn't say it's out of this world, but it's among the better clam chowders I've had. Main dishes, for lunch the seared citrus glazed salmon is out of this world. It is perfectly cooked on the outside, and tender, juicy and pink on the inside. It melts like butter in your mouth. If you're a meat lover, I hear from my companions, the filet Mignon is delicious. One day I broke down and ordered the Dry-Aged Sirloin Steak, but it was a bit too dry for me. Perhaps because I made the mistake of ordering it well done. Perhaps it's worth a try medium-rare. I know this is a steak place, but I can also tell you they do a superb job with the fish dishes. Not only the salmon dish was out of this world, but the Chilean Sea Bass is perfect. I'm very picky about the fish I eat, and this place certainly passes that test. The Creme Brulee here is the best I've had so far. So, make sure not to leave without trying this amazing dessert at this location. All in all, I'm grateful there is a Capital Grille nearby, and this location is certainly my personal treat when I need to de-stress. This is definitely not the midtown Manhattan power lunch type. On the contrary, while it does have an elegant, quiet atmosphere, it is the place to just come in on an afternoon after shopping, and treat yourself to something special. I'm yet to check out this place during dinner time, but will soon and will be happy to post.

Excellent, food and service top notch, I went there for a steak but opted for the special that night a 10oz Lobster tail, along with the lobster bisque, potatoes au gratin, and roasted mushrooms. My dining companions had a bone in filet we all enjoyed our meals along with a great wine Domaine Serene

We had called Capital Grille but they wouldn't have a table for us until 8:15, it was 6:30. Although there were other steakhouses we could go to, I told my husband I'd rather wait. The manager Tim Fanning was extremely personable, i mentioned we were celebrating a special occasion and he sent us complimentary champagne. The food and service is excellent...we were too full but did take home a piece of the chocolate cake which was so good! Well worth the wait! Thanks again Tim!

Went with my wife on the last night of our vacation to the Singer Island/Palm Beach area. Although this is a chain and there are a few near home, i had never visited before. All I can say is wow. From the minute you walk in, you're treated as if you're the only guest in the building. The entire team is there to take care of whatever you need. The food was out of this world: fried calamari was lightly fried in a very tasty, light breading, tossed with sweet and hot peppers- might be the best calamari dish I've ever had the tomato mozzarella was a nice size and the balsamic glaze was a perfect complement my wife's filet had a nice char on the outside and was cooked perfectly, melted in your mouth my Delmonico cut rib eye was a monster, cooked perfectly and liberally seasoned When the waiter found out it was our first visit, he brought over a complementary cheesecake. All i can say is this was a slice of heaven- creamy filling, light crust, and the top was lightly charred so it added a tasty sweet crunchy texture to cake. This meal was one of the highlights of our vacation! Must visit if you're in the area. I can't wait to visit our nearby location soon!

The Capital Grille is the epitome of a 5 star restaurant. Hands down, the best dining experience I've ever had. The ambience is classy and comfortable. Our service was impressive. We had a bubbly, short, blonde waitress who was professional, cheerful, and very helpful (she knew the menu well). It is expensive, but appropriately priced. Our meal, service, and overall experience was worth every penny. I had the kona bone-in steak with lobster mac and cheese, my wife had the filet with mash potatoes. Everything was 10/10.

Spectacular spot for a bit of business lunch type experience. Service is impeccable and the house burger with truffle fries or the seared salmon salad are both winners. The spicy mustard with the herbs made the truffle fries pop.

I've never been to the Capital Grille before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But it was a great first impression. I had the pleasure of ordering the Chilean sea bass. It was cooked fully and seasoned well. Although the presentation could have looked better and the plate didn't look as clean as it could have, it was otherwise great!! The lighting was a little to dim for my taste though. But the variety of bread they gave out in the beginning impressed me. It wasn't the same old half baked plain white bread served at most restaurants. I will definitely consider this place in the future.

Complimentary valet parking is a nice touch. It was then I realized that the service would be a high point. I was seated promptly since I had made a reservation. I highly recommend a reservation, otherwise the wait could be unbearable. I was dining alone. The booth I was given was already set for ME with one place setting. Nice touch. The staff addressed me as Ms. X, which was also a nice touch. They have an extensive wine along with a full bar. The menu was one page, yet large and easily readable. Steak and seafood are the focus of the menu. I started with lobster bisque, which is not on the menu, but is served every night. It was delightful. I had the filet as my main course. It was properly prepared, but i felt it could have used a bit more seasoning in the cooking process. And I just had to try the lobster mac-n-cheese. It was fabulous, and I am sure heavy cream had something to do with that. My server and his assistant were attentive but not bothersome. The maitre'd came by for a chat. He was a good conversationalist as every one should be. The decor is very elegant. Lots of dark wood and low lighting. This is an upscale establishment. And for that you will be paying from your pocket book. But a treat every once in a while is worth it.

Visited the capital grille on our anniversary. I mentioned this to the staff when I booked my reservation, but I had no idea they would take it so far. Every person we encountered congratulated us. We were given anniversary gifts, i.e. appetizers, champagne, rose, desserts. It was tremendous! The capital grille is always spot on, but make sure to go for an anniversary. They definitely treat you right.

I live locally and eat at the best places in the Gardens area. This is not one of them. Been here 3 times, once was mediocre, the other two times were poor. Too many awesome restaurants in our area to "hope" for a good experience with the prices that are paid here. Spend your money elsewhere.

Had dinner here on a busy Friday night. The atmosphere is great, typical Capital Grille style- warm colors, lovely paintings, etc... We were taken to our table right away, but it took a while before we saw a server. He apologized for the delay and told us that he had a huge party and was having some difficulty. He was very polite and helpful but our service was slow, throughout the evening. As for the food, we started with the calamari. It was good and spicy, different prep than most places, but I'd have it again. Then we had spinach salads, also very good- traditional prep. Then we waited- and waited- and waited....45 minutes after the salad, 1.5 hours after seating, still no entrees. So we asked for the check. The server said that our dinners were ready and we told him that we had been there too long. So he sent the manager over- they comped our entrees and sent them home with us, along with a free dessert.

Always excellent - food, service, quality. The ahi tuna and a Stoli Doli... To die for! The best cheesecake on the planet, too. Sometimes can feel a little stuffy at first, but if you don't act pretentious they won't either. We always love the service and the food. One of my all time fave places to go! Worth every penny!

Somehow dinner tastes better when you are outside in West Palm Beach, FL vs. Rosemont, IL. Great dinner (as always), superb service and fabulous wine. Can't stop eating the kona-crusted bone-in sirloin.

A friend & I thought we'd enjoy a good meal together. Well upon arriving at 5:05 pm the restaurant was virtually empty. We were escorted to the worst table (location wise) in the place. I asked to be relocated and was told "this is the table we've chosen for you this evening". Well that wasn't going to happen. I insisted that I wouldn't sit there & the maître-de said he'd see if anything else was open. We got a better location. We ordered salads, dinner & a beverage. My friend was curious why the bread hadn't been brought to our table. By the time we finished our salads the bread still hadn't come. Meanwhile 3 parties near us got their bread well before their salads/appetizers. We couldn't find our waitress and had to ask a different waitress. When our waitress came to our table the bread was arriving and she said "right on Q". We both weren't happy with the "doneness" of our steak, I sent mine back and received another. At this point the management was well aware of all of the problems so they decided the appropriate thing to do was to give us a $10 piece of cake to make up for a spoiled $89.00 each dinner. Way to go management!

Superb dining and service. Was there recently on the 29th of August just before the end of the Generous Pour. (special promo that expired 8/31 ) Unlimited samples of wine for $25. Was there for 3 hours. The steak and lobster tails were excellent. Somewhat pricy, but well worth it. Great place for a special occasion or to WOW a client. Definitely a 5 star experience.

One of the best dining experiences ever! The food was wonderful but that was to be expected. It was our anniversary and when that came up the server brought my wife a single red rose. She also took a picture of us (on the house camera)and returned minutes later with the picture in a lovely frame! Later she also served us champagne. All of this was complimentary. If you're not a billionaire, but want a taste of what it would be like....I highly reccommend this wonderful place!!

Wow! What more do i need to say. Every time I go, I'm constantly amazed on how good they really are. The attention to detail is very impressive. The food is great, and service, even better. You will not be disappointed.

So I love food and this place doesn't disappoint. From our waiter, Tony to the chef who gave us a tour of the kitchen, everyone is amazing. The lobster mac & cheese is a MUST and if you have a sweet tooth, the cheesecake. Extensive selection of wines. We entered a happy party, came out a happier, stuffed party.

You can't beat Capital Grille for steaks and a fancy night out. Morton's or a fancy Chop House is a good comparison. Great for special occasions or if you want to impress. Painful on pocketbook, but you only live once!

Now you listen to me and you listen to me good. If I've taught you nothing and you only choose to remember one thing about this review, remember this: Lobster.Mashed.Potatoes. You see, because it's a side dish, just make sure you get it with anything and you'll be golden. I was convinced not to order the Lobster and Crab Stuffed Shrimp, but that's another story. So I cannot tell you if it was good or not, but the person I was dining with (my mother) swore she once ordered them and that they were terrible. I believe she didn't want me to order them because they were pricey or maybe she has early onset Alzheimers. Instead, out of respect, I went solely with the Lobster and Crabcakes appetizer coupled with the lobster mashed potatoes which was delicious and more than enough food. I got a Caprese salad and it was unremarkable, so I'd skip that. For dessert, we ordered the raspberry chocolate cake which tasted flourless and was extremely decadent. Oh, and the bread. The bread! So delicious. I can't really describe it other than a medley of warm interesting little pieces of foccacia. It seems like a lot of people come here for birthdays and special occasions, But remember this: lobster mashed potatoes. If you remember that, it's really all you need.

Incredible experience, start to finish! Service is top notch from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. The sales manager, Lindsey, is not only a bombshell, but also extremely professional and offered impeccable customer service. Our server, Charlie, was world class. Extremely professional and informative, with a great selection of recommendations based on my food preferences. The lobster mac and cheese is absolutely divine, and is a must order. No exceptions. My filet was cooked perfectly, the steamed spinach delicious, and the cheesecake was to die for. Wonderful selection of wine, and smiling faces all around. I have been to one other TCG, in Atlanta, and had a pleasant experience there as well. However, the experience at TCG Gardens is incomparable and sets the standard to which all upscale restaurants should be held. Whether you have been to a million Capital Grilles or have never set foot in one in your life, a visit to Palm Beach Gardens without a visit to their Capital Grille is a fatal mistake!

I love a good steak... I think that every business dinner or special occasion calls for one in fact. That's why during my business latest trip to West Palm Beach we decided to have dinner at the Capitol Grille. I have visited this Capital Grille location before. Service is always good, the wine list is extensive, and the food is always tasty and well prepared. During this past trip however I had a near god like experience when I tried the Capital Grille's Delmonico Steak. I have seen this steak on the menu many times and have opted instead for the filet mignon every time. After many people told me the Delmonico was a 'must try' item, I went ahead and ordered it begrudgingly. I glad I ordered it and I may never order another piece of beef other that the Delmonico at Capital Grille in the future. This steak was prepared perfectly medium, with a perfect char, and not too much seasoning. I also had a baked potato with my meal and was stuffed to the gills after I ate the entire thing with cheese and bacon. No dessert on this trip, just coffee which was rich and delicious. I look forward to visiting this Capital Grille again very soon!

Love the place!! My bf has taken me many times here. We have gone with friends & my sister & then a romantic dinner for two for our one year anniversary. Our waitress was really nice. Our table was clean & the food was delicious but make sure you have at least $100 to spend because it is pricey. But very worth it.

Well if you make a reservation don't expect to be seated on time. If you have to wait you're stuck if the bar is crowded like tonight. To boot the host is less than friendly. Now to the good part. Our server Michelle turned a lousy experience into a pleasant one. She made us feel welcome and special. The appetizers and entrees were plentiful and good. We had the 2 lb lobster and the bone in ribeye. Both delicious. Sides were enormous. We took doggie bags and enjoyed a nice lunch the next day. Obviously, the restaurant was crowded and now we know why. A little more attention at the front end would make it much better.

As great as it would be to have a first-rate local steakhouse, we are forced to rely here on chains for the best quality. Luckily, Capital Grille decided to open up. Its an overall outstanding steakhouse with just enough of a twist to make it interesting without ruining classics. As long as decent quality is used, its pretty hard to drop the ball on something like prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella with balsamic. They don't. Not as easy to pull off is throwing (in a massive chain environment!) some serious heat into fried calamari. They do. Well-executed is great, but when you put your own twist on it and it transforms it to something much better, then you are doing something right. I often get stuck on something when it is so well prepared I can't bring myself to order anything else. This is definitely the case with the kona crusted sirloin. The coffee enhances the meat rather than overpowering it. And the meat....everywhere I've had it (three cities and counting) it is uber-quality prime steak perfectly cooked. Not a big fan of lenghty descriptions of what 'medium-rare', etc., means - but that is how they roll, and the service is excellent. Sides are also perfect - I don't need lobster mac n' cheese with a huge steak - but what the heck...and man is it good. You're gonna pay for all this greatness - but its worth it.

Popped in for lunch with some co-workers; we were seated immediately when arriving at 1 PM on a weekday. Service was prompt and courteous; our water glasses and sodas were never let to run dry. Additionally, seeing as we all enjoyed the bread so much, they brought us an extra basket (really, the bread is very good). I had a bone-in sirloin, which was ordered medium-rare, and arrived perfectly warm and pink in the center. My co-workers had, variously, the Capital burger (which was reviewed as "excellent"), and fillet mignon. The fillet was apparently quite good as well, although the thing we all talked about was the truffle fries. Oh. My. Crispy outside, puffy and warm inside, with a coating of white truffle to lend a woodsy, loamy quality. Excellent. Rich, and filling, two orders were shared amongst the four of us. I can't recommend them enough... just keep the ketchup away from them! They're meant for eating as-is. Prices ran from $18-ish for a burger and soda to $40 for a steak and a glass of wine (their by-the-glass list is fairly good, and well-priced on the upper end of things, about half a bottle's cost for a glass; for basic, "find-it-in-the-grocery" wines, expect to pay the cost of a bottle for a glass).

I want to take the time and compliment the impeccable service we received tonight. To start we had never been to the Capital Grille before, but hoped it would present itself as a good establishment. As we are unfortunately used to less than mediocre service our expectations were not that high. Upon arrival the hostess greeted us with a smile and immediately we were seated. It was our anniversary dinner and we had a quiet booth in the far end. To our surprise there was a card wishing us a happy anniversary and xoxo confetti sprinkled on the table. We immediately had to smile, because it's those small touches that really create a fantastic dining experience. Once our server Jeff, arrived he correctly pronounced our last name, and gave my wife a rose. We knew then we were in the right place to celebrate such a wonderful occasion. We started off with the raw oysters, beef carpacio, and the lobster bisque. The oysters were delicious, fresh little bursts of the sea, and the lobster bisque had nice big chunks of lobster in it. We both ordered the Kona sirloin which was fantastic, I do wish however, that it had more salt as I felt it was a bit bland, but that didn't take away from the fact that it was a well cooked steak. That shallot butter was delicious. You must though, order the lobster mac n' cheese, that was delicious! Overall the entire meal was fantastic, once again, our server Jeff, provided us with fantastic service. To finish off the meal, dessert was brought to our table, on the house, which was a fantastic flour less chocolate torte. It was the culmination to a superb meal, but in reality, we paid for a unforgettable dining experience. We will definitely be back. If you have a special occasion to celebrate this is the place, just let them know upon making a reservation, which we did online, and they will ensure you have a great meal.

We dined here on 10/9, a party of two at 8:00. I made online reservations and requested a table in a quiet area..we were promptly seated in a small room of five tables, very romantic. We started our meal with the chopped house salad and a wedge salad, both very good. We both had a filet, perfectly prepared (rare and mid) and seasoned. Lobster mac is a must for your side dish, creamy with a crisp breadcrumb crust-amazing! The mashed potatoes are even worth mentioning (half-order). The restaurant is pricey, but well worth it for a special evening or a guaranteed spectacular meal. The portions are huge, share all of the sides and even a steak (10 oz filets). We finished with dessert and coffee..apple tart and chocolate flourless cake...both melted in your mouth! We had a hard time deciding on what dessert to share, so the server brought both (one on the house). The best service, wonderful ambiance and amazing steaks....our go-to for steaks in Florida.

Go here for special occasions. Make sure you let the hostesses know about the occasion when booking your reservation. Great steaks, top notch 4-star service, and rich interior. Dress appropriate or you may feel out of place. Plan on spending around $80 per person in here to have an enjoyable experience. Steak alone will cost you $40+ without a side item, but it's well worth it. Get your steak seasoned with a Kona rub which is a specialty. French onion soup in the full crock is amazing and probably the best I've ever had. A wine list here will blow your mind. They simply have a lot. That's an understatement, from $30 to thousands of dollars per bottle.

If I was a 55+ spinster I would so live at the bar here. The men inside the lounge and bar area were like the men I would want to talk to if I ever considered having a sugar daddy. That being said my date and I went and sat in the dining room amongst people not on the prowl. We had a server who was very knowledgeable about the wines and the menu and suggested a wonderful white wine blend for us. He however seemed to not like to come by to take our order, maybe he thought he did it but like 30 mins after we got our wine he finally appeared to take our meal order. We spent about 3 hours there enjoying the wonderful filet mignon. All in all its a good steak house but I would pass next time and either go to Ruth Chris or Morton's.

The Capital Grille is unoriginal for my taste, but if you're looking for an American steakhouse, it is very good. Reliable, classic food and good service. There isn't much to say beyond that.

After an extraordinary experience at the Orlando location I was excited to celebrate an early Valentine's dinner with my honey at Capital Grille in Palm Beach Gardens. My visit to Orlando provoked me to choose Capital because of their impeccable service. We didn't have a reservation that evening in Orlando, being on a business trip, we popped in after a long day at the convention center. What made Capital Grille memorable to me was the remarkable attention to detail and personalization during our dinner. The server called us by name throughout the whole service, which we provided at reception podium, even marking our leftovers appropriately. The lighting was perfect, the food was divine and I left feeling as though the money was well spent even if it wasn't mine. I was looking forward to the same experience at the PBG location but left a little disappointed. When we set the reservation a week in advance the reservationist asked us if we were planning an early Valentine's, we replied 'Yes!' and from there I thought we were in good hands but unlike Orlando when we arrived our server asked us again if we were celebrating anything. This was my first inkling that out service wouldn't be the same as my previous visit. I also noticed the lighting wasn't as intimate as the Orlando location. While our server was charming and accommodating ( and looked a bit like Clark Kent) he did not use our names, he seemed a bit too busy for that. After perusing the enormous wine selection Clark recommended a delicious Pinot Noir that we thoroughly enjoyed. We started with the Mozzarella salad to share ( although we intended to order the Mozzarella appetizer with proscuitto, when the mistake was discovered and we voiced our concern to Clark, he commented that we misunderstood each other and that he would change the dish for us but we were already half way through the course and didn't want to make a fuss.) Thereafter I ordered the lamb chops and my Valentine ordered the steak au poivre. We also indulged on a few side dishes; lobster mac and cheese, Sam's mashed potatoes and asparagus w/ hollandaise. The lamb chops were good, along with the 14 Oz. Steak, they were both cooked to our liking. The two side dishes that stole the show were the lobster Mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. This girl loves her spuds and the potatoes were excellent! The lobster was juicy and moist, the macaroni prepared masterfully. I found myself eyeing the dish after every bite of lamb. After dinner we were so stuffed we decided not to order dessert, and instead asked the back waiter to package our food. She took what she could in her arms and walked away. I assumed she would be back ( most of the delectable mash was left on the table) but instead Clark came back first and picked up the leftover dish, I mentioned that his helper was packing up our food and we would like to take the remaining dish he had in his hand home but to our surprise it was missing in our leftovers when we arrived home. Now usually this would not have been a big deal however given the amazing level of deliciousness of these mashed potatoes and the fact that they were $15 I was rather disappointed. I was also missing the wonderful fruit compote that was served with the lamb chops (I thought this element made the dish.) Perhaps we were caught in happenstance; no one knew our names, the missing fruit compote and mash, the bright lighting or perhaps PBG is Capital Grille's Kryptonite.

Filet mignon for lunch $26, comes with one side. Very tender, more flavor than some places, but not as much as Ruth Chris. Fries were good, must be the oil they use to cook them in. Ice Tea is a little over priced at $3.25, its not even flavored, just plain Tea. Overall, good food, nice decor and if you like wine they have two pages full, the menu is only one page. They have wine lockers for repeat guests who want to stock their own. Deserts are mostly around $8, one small page and again two pages of after dinner dirnks. For the money I prefer Ruth Chris or one of the other steak houses. Overall, nice place, little pricey for the quality and quanitiy of food, but if you like wine you have to give it a try.

OMG- How was I not the first to review this place? LOVE IT. I like it even better than the one in Boca. It blows Mortons away but is also pricier than Mortons. I go often and I can't say I've ever had a complaint, bad service, or bad meal. Very intimate dining to me (especially for not being on the water, outside, and in a plaza!)

If you are looking for a consistently great meal, this is definitely the place to go. Everything is delicious! The steaks and chops are the best. The lobster macaroni is an excellent side in addition to the creamed spinach and fried potatoes. Their desserts are a must to finish up a wonderful meal. The wait staff is the most attentive I have ever experienced. We used to come here for special occaisions but now we eat here regularly as it is the very best.

My wife and I received a gift card and decided to go for Valentine's Day. We quickly realized that it was the second busiest day of the year for them, but with that in mind, the staff was reasonably attentive. We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time and our waiter quickly came by to introduce himself. He was extremely friendly and a very happy person, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. He offered excellent explanations of the menu and answered all our questions thoroughly. We started with the tomato and mozzarella salad, which our waiter took the initiative to split in half for us... I appreciated that. The flavors were fresh and crisp, with just the right amount of basil and dressing. For the main course, my wife decided on the sliced fillet, which is very atypical for her. I chose one of the specials that sounded wonderful, the red snapper, and some green beans as a vegetable. The fillet was to die for!! It was probably one of the most flavorful, tender cuts of steak I had ever had... sauteed in mushrooms and onions, I was lucky enough to steal a bight. My fish, on the other hand, was simply satisfactory. It was not bad or fishy by any means, but it was bland and unexciting. The starch under the fish had a more intriguing flavor that the actual entree. To top it off, I discovered a fish bone, with my teeth, which was not a high point of the evening. We wrapped up our meal with the coconut cream pie and some coffee. This alone would have been enough to get us in the door. Up until this point, Spoto's has held 1st place for this dessert, but look out - this thing was amazing! All in all, we enjoyed our dining experience. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and my wife's meal was tender, flavorful and filling. Unfortunately, the high price tag coupled with my less-than-stellar fish robbed TCG of that fifth star.

In my experience, when you go out to eat with someone that works at the restaurant you're going to, the service declines in some ways. Sure, there's always an employee around when you need them (generally hanging out and talking to your table) but this fact seems to make them generally miss a lot of details they otherwise wouldn't. When we went to the Capital Grille last night with one of their servers, this was not the case or, if it was, the service was so good it was unnoticeable. Never did I have to ask for anything, it was simply provided. When it was mentioned that it was my two year anniversary with my lovely girlfriend, the restaurant went all out. Candles in a couple of desserts, and glasses of champagne for all four of us diners. Being in Florida on vacation from the gayest state in the union, it just wasn't something I expected, but was very much appreciated. Now the food... Delicious. The portions were very large and everything I tried was sumptuously cooked to perfection. Overall, a wonderful anniversary dinner. =)

I was blown away by the service here. From start to finish I have to say I had the most impressive experience at this capital grille. Our reservation was for 4 guests but changed to 7 and the host Erin was more than accommodating to our ever expanding party, (I think I called her 4 times to change our reservation count). Out server was Jeremi and he provided exceptional service from start to finish. I was dining with 3 celebrity guests and he gave is exactly the service we wanted. He was funny and witty and also exceedingly efficient. The food was stellar, every course had my guests' jaws dropping. So so so delicious. And the smoked salmon amuses we recieved before our 1st course were awesome. Jerami made our party the best it could have been and made me look great infront of my guests who continued to be wowed by his awesome service and attention to detail. Couldnt have asked for more. If you haven't been to this location, you are missing out!

I recently met a friend for a drink at the bar after work. After ordering, I asked to see the bar menu to order a snack. The bartender's attitude was less then gracious. He was surprised when I told him that I didn't see anything I wanted and actually challenged me about it. Very annoying. Then he disappeared and I waited quite a while to get his attention again so I could request the regular menu. Upon ordering, he again challenged my choice. When we were given the check, he was sarcastic about the tip. He's fortunate that I left him anything after his rude behavior. My guest and I were surprised at our experience. I have dined there before and had excellent food and service in the dining room. Needless to say, I doubt I'll be stopping in for a drink after work anytime soon. Won't be recommending that anyone else stop in either.

A chain you can find in many cities. Busy but, typical Florida go to haunt. There have been other steakhouses come and go unfortuantely in the market - the wonderful "Strip House" which was close by - yet tucked away in Downtown at the Gardens. Captial Grille could not hold a candle to Strip House - except it was easier to find and less expensive as it is a down quality product. Robotic service, disorganized seating (plan to pass the hostess a $20 to get through the wait which is a ruse it seems). Order a filet and expect a flat grilled cut of beef of decent quality and some non-memorable side dishes. Busy restaurant - reasonably priced - service from a handbook - no ambiance though the lighting is pleasant (had to give something positive about the factory installed interior - it is the same everywhere with CG), strong drinks, just a place to "get a meal" not really one to establish great memories of food, service, or ambiance. At least from my repeat experiences.

Six of us ate their last night. We were celebrating 2 people in the party birthdays. I've wanted to try it for a while now. Since I have some friends that love it there, the place is always busy and since they were having their Sept. $30.00 prefix menu we decided to try it. They did get us right in. reservation was for 715pm sat by 725pm. It was a round table in the corner of a small room it was def. a tight fit. our server was great, he did have to apologies a lot for mess up. mess up were we sat way to long for everything, we were 3hrs! it should of only been 2hrs at the most. we asked for butter 3 times never got it, dad ordered off of regular menu the swordfish which he said was excellent when he did get it. they forgot to put his order in. the manger did come over and say sorry and toke it off the bill. it took forever to clear our plates, to bring us dessert ( which they did bring us one out of every dessert, that was nice) but we sat and waited 30 min for the ck. which i had to flag them down twice to get it. the food to me and my husband was ok. nothing was I like " wow! this is amazing!" the bill was $365.00 w/tip. that was the prefix menu which includes dessert, they took my dads swordfish off and we all had a glass of wine or scotch. Its normal a lot pricey then that. My husband and I wont be returning to this one at least. OK. UPDATE: just got a call from parents, they never took the sword fish off the bill like they said. which was $37.00. my mom called and they said to drive down and they will fix it. which is good but there 45 min away. ):

I love Capital Grille for it has a lot of masculine feel to it which I like when I'm going out for a steak paired with some fantastic wine. Something new I tried recently was the macaroni and cheese with lobster. It was very rich but oh so good, it could even be eaten as a main meal, if you wanted. The service is so wonderful that you can just sit back, relax and appreciate the good food, good surroundings, and hopefully-- good company;)
