Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Food and service were very good. Owner/Chef came out to greet the customers. Definitely will go back again

A nice happy hour with bar bites. Also had dinner, the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive, there is so much to choose from.

I went here after finding the place on Yelp for Sunday brunch with some friends. We were all in town for a conference. We sat outside in the sun on couches and chairs with a big coffee table for our table. It was around 11:00am, and there was barely anyone there! We all ordered omelettes. The sun dried tomatoes folded into my omelette were so good! It was a good portion with fruit, home fries (very tasty!), and toast. I wasn't hungry for a while after I finished! Loved the atmosphere. I'm not sure why it was so quiet on Sunday morning. There was a musician there singing and playing guitar, which was awesome. For a while, if we hadn't been there, he wouldn't have had anyone to play for. I would recommend it, but would probably check out another brunch spot instead of going back just to try more that the area has to offer.

Last night we had the privilege of eating at the Garden City Cafe, for a first time visit it felt like we were regular customer. We had a fun waiter named Gary. The food was exceptional and inexpensive. We will be back to try other items, but each dish including the Pizza looked wonderful. I like the fact that the owner and chef one and the same, went around to greet his clients. This should be a great hangout for the people who live in the area. Carry out also.

I was in the area and wanted good food but had limited time. I stopped here and asked if they could accommodate me. They efficiently sat me on the patio. My drink order and rolls were brought immediately. I ordered a grilled chicken career on a baguette. The waiter said he was informed of my time limitation and would make sure I got my sandwich. I delighted in a lovely outdoor dining experience with other friendly diners, received my food in a very timely fashion. It was delicious. Got my bill and to-go box and made my 40 minute time limited. 30% tip. The check comes in a vintage music text book- wished I had more time to relax and read it! Going back when I have time and in the area again

Overpriced and sorta dirty. Feel bad cause wait staff are nice people. Manager could do a better job working with chef and staff on price point and cleanliness . Feels like place going down hill.

The service was A+, Bridgette was an excellent server! The owners Scott and Mallory treated us like VIPs. Went for appetizers and drinks and enjoyed the shrimp and goat cheese pizza immensely! Next time we will definitely go for dinner and try the entrées.

Food was stale and dry. Had the chicken and it was as if they served me trash because of how dry I almost choked. It was inedible. My family had the mac & cheese and it was great. Then we finished it with the reason we went, they serve JUNIORS CHEESECAKE from NYC! The cake was amazing and delicious. Will only get take out from there.

Garden City Cafe is a fabulous restaurant with spectacular food on PGA Blvd.! Enjoy outside dining and a bustling bar or dine inside like we did. The food is to die for! I ordered a scallop entree and it was the best I have ever tasted! My guest ordered a chicken entree that was so delicious we still can't stop talking about it. The chef-owner uses the finest and freshest of ingredients in his menu and it shows. This is one of the best restaurants in town and we would give 10 stars if Yelp allowed!

We recently returned, with two other couples and sat inside at a large round table. Entrees selected were the seafood risotto, pappardelle with sausage, and lobster special. We also started with calamari, oyster's Rockefeller, and clams casino. Toss in a couple bottles of wine, a couple of shared salads, three slices of Junior's cheese cake, and that equals quite a feast. I received a $10 coupon that I tossed into the pot...which reduced the tab by $3.33 per couple. Our final tab came to $90 per couple, pre-tip. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Marc, our waiter was very knowledgeable, regarding the menu, and was appropriately attentive. The joint was hopping, the outdoor bar and dining areas were full as was the inside of the restaurant. It's great to see a new place succeed. Good food, good atmosphere and fair pricing is the magic sauce that I hope they'll continue with.

This new addition to the PGA corriedor is the kind of friendly small town place where locals go to meet and enjoy good wholesome meals together. The large patio offers comfy chairs on rollers and is dog friendly. Scott, the owner, made me a special omellette even though no egg dishes were on the lunch menu. My husband salad, a special addition to the menu, was very fresh, perfectly prepared salmon and lots of interesting ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to trying dinner this week. A true neighborhood gem.

Went with a party of 8 and service was excellent...Bridgett was our server...The garlic.rolls were very good as a predinner delight....the atmosphere inside was very nice and not very loud even though a live band was playing outside just 20 ft away. LASTLY Dinner was very good...I had the 7 oz. Filet and was very tender and everyone else enjoyed their meals as well.

We went to Garden City Cafe for lunch and had a great experience. Service was wonderful and the hostess was very friendly. Owner said hello and was very nice. He's been in the business a long time and it looks like he knows what he's doing. I like the atmosphere. The outdoor area will be great when it cools down a little outside. Stopped by on a Sunday before but they had Brunch going on and I was looking for a quick lunch - looked like a nice brunch set up though! I was excited to see a menu I think my husband will like (he's picky). I had the Corned Beef and Turkey Sandwich which was really good with an interesting cole slaw. The Sweet Potato Fries were awesome and the other diner said she liked their Pasta Fagiole soup. Hoping to try them out for Happy Hour soon. All good things... Really glad to have them in the neighborhood!

When you first walk in to Garden City Cafe, the anticipation bar is not set very high. Its a bit spartan, and the lengthy menu recalls those TV shows where failing restaurants try to do too much. Resist the urge to dismiss this place - its a winner. The staff is eager to bring you a meal that is much better than you might think at first glance. Though you may have a waiter that talks a little too much, it is worth your while. One curious aside: someone chose to outfit the place with free-wheeling chairs, its hard to even sit down without scooting around the floor like a bumper car ride. We started off with a Garden City flatbread for the table - goat cheese, mozzarella, mushrooms, olives, and crispy onions were promised. Most of those showed up, with the mushrooms and crispy onions playing hookey. Didn't matter - it was tremendous and two of us nearly sustained fork-to-the-back-of-the-hand injuries fighting over the last piece. Would definitely get it again, though there were about ten others to choose from that might be worth a try. A lobster special described as 1 1/4lbs for $19.95 was closer to two pounds - cooked beautifully, and served with a dome of mashed potatoes big enough for two (as though one person can scarf down a 2# lobster and fit in a pile of spuds without exploding!). It was as good as you'll get in any New England lobster shack and an excellent value. Herb-roasted balsamic half chicken was not perfect (the breast was a little dry) but at $15 - its hard to expect something prepared by Thomas Keller. It was otherwise very good, with well-presented roasted potatoes and vegetables that were cooked carefully, not the over-cooked mushy hospital style that so many chefs lazily throw at us. Somewhere in their adverts or promo they said the steak tidbits were a must. If someone says that, they should make an effort to back it up. They did. Asked how we would like them cooked, we said 'rare'. When the server brought them, the steak looked to thin to cook rare, yet there was pink inside. Served on garlic bread and amazingly tender, they delivered as promised. I'm reluctant to add that GCC is a great value overall - only because when word gets out you won't be able to get in. Don't go unless you're looking for very good (if straightforward) food at a reasonable price. PBG needs more like this.

Just recently opened. Owner was a chef at Carmines for 20 years. Had the Scallops wrapped in bacon and the Eggplant Rollatini. Both excellent. Muscles Fra Diovlo also very good. Great venue too. Unlike other places on PGA, no need to valet your car. Prices are reasonable and service is good. Outdoor bar is a lot of fun if it's not raining and not too hot. Place looks like a winner!

We were a party of 7 and had dinner at Garden City Cafe last night. We ordered several different entrees and each was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. We ate outside and the live band was not too loud. We could still easily have a conversation. Great experience and great food!
(5)Mickey C.
Mediterranean salad and hamburger were very good, BUT Menu for salad not include onions so I didn't ask "without onions". It came with onions. Had lunch on weekday, not very busy. Took 20 minutes for above food to come
(3)Brittany K.
Had takeout from here. I ordered the half chicken with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes. Chicken was cooked perfectly even after waiting awhile to eat it. Friendly staff. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was very hard to find. Passed it 3 times before I finally found it!!

I have been looking for great Italian food, the Long Island style, Egg plant Parm, Chicken Parm, New York style pizza and found it at a charming new eatery on PGA called Garden City Cafe. Waitstaff are very helpful and friendly. Owner/Chef Scott comes around to your table to assure you are enjoying your meal. Indoor/Outdoor seating, great happy hour, live music outside. Food is delicious with Scott bringing forward his many family recipes and not only limited to Italian entrees. Give this new place a shot and you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely loved my lunch ! I had the GRILLED CHICKEN CAPRESE SUB, it was delicious the mozzarella was nice and fresh. I had it with a side of sweet potato fries I wish they would've given me more because I devoured it !
(5)Kyle B.
Service was very friendly and attentive. A friend and I sat in their outdoor bar area and were very warmly welcomed. We shared a pizza that you could instantly tell that it was freshly made with tender loving care. I would recommend here for a great and relaxing night out. Very nicely done.

Highly recommended by friends but very disappointing. A one hour wait for food in spite of few customers with no explanation. Waitress spent much time visiting with other tables , then dropped steak knife on one us with no apology, took 45 min to get hot water. Food was adequate but doubt we will go back because of slow service

This was such a disappointing place. I was looking forward to eat here solely based on reviews I read. Let me just start by saying that the healthy juice beverage that contains kale and spinach etc. Your typical health juice- well it never made it to my table because the blender "blew" up! The decor is dated. They were playing music absurdly loud and I got there when the place was empty. Around 4ish. Ok so let me tell u about the menu. It makes no sense. They have a smorgasbord of items that claim to be something they're not and bottom line - the items just don't go together. The shrimp cocktail I ordered was gross. The shrimp was NOT fresh and they placed a piece of ginger on top of each shrimp. Finally. Since I knew this was going to be a horrid experience from the moment I walked in I decided to order a 4 cheese flat bread. Just in case. Well...... This restaurant managed to screw up a flat bread. It lacked taste the dough was burnt and the cheese was of very low quality. you're better off picking up a little Caesars $5 pizza. The server was nice though and pleasant. But they really need a RESTAURANT makeover!!!

I first thought that nothing in this restaurant could be worse than the dusty pink and green decor circa 1980 until the food came out...the eggplant rollatini was dry and mushy and tasted old. The pizza was awful, soggy crust and dry. The sausage, meatball and pepperoni was indistinguishable ...we should have been tipped off by the clams oreganata served with greens and Mango salsa..ugh.....this place awful.

Had a fine dinner. Food was very good and Louis our waiter was very attentive. They just need to be a bit more organized in reservations and seating, but we will definitely return.
(4)Tony G.
Pizza, Eggplant Rolinti, Shrimp app were all amazing. They had live music which was nice. The outside bar service was excellent, Jason did a great job. This place is a must.

Garden City Cafe is the real deal. All fresh, all homemade. The Brunch is outstanding.

A new local neighborhood gem that has something for everyone. We went there for brunch on Sunday = not usually my favorite meal = and found that their selection at both the hot and cold buffets were a delight. They serve an array of comfort foods that are classic and different at the same time. This is an ideal place for people of all ages as it is easy to get in and out, the service good, and the menu extensive. We will go back again.
(5)Lisa K.
Excellent food and wonderful service. I had the mahi-mahi wrap for lunch; the portion was just right for the price. I loved the warm garlic rolls that were provided for the table while we waited for our food.
(5)A J.
Went in for Sunday brunch. Pros: The food was decent. Cons: The service was fairly slow for a morning that was not busy at all The menu was very small There was no kids menu The waiter forgot several things The waiter rushed off before we had a chance to finish what we were saying There was a significant miscommunication between when we called the restaurant and when we got there The furniture was a bit beat up

We tried this restaurant tonight......WOW!!!! The food and customer service was great!!! I will be frequenting this restaurant and recommending it to everyone.

Went to Garden City tonight with friends. We all have Italian heritage roots and there are many places in south Florida for good Italian food. Well this gem has outstanding food in a gracious family atmosphere. The happy hour was great and the food fantastic. I had the penne alla vodka, hubby Chopinno, friends had eggplant and all were fantastic. Staff was gracious and welcoming. We will definitely go back and bring friends. Awesome place for a great, relaxed evening out! Can't wait to try homemade desserts next time.

The service was unbelievable and Patrick was awesome. The food was phenomenal and some of the best I've had. I ordered a sangria, which was hand made. The chicken Parm was to die for. The sauce was perfect. McKenzie came in and did an phenomenal job tending bar. The owner comes by and meets the guests. Family atmosphere and a fun place. I will definitely be back. The price was a value for what you get.

Happy hour with friends tonight and the 'bites' menu was ok, but nothing special. They couldn't make the 1st two drinks I requested (Moscow Mule/Pomegranate Martini) so I settled for a Key Lime Pie Martini which was pretty tasty. I shared some wings and had a small bite of the flatbread. Nothing to write home about. I really enjoy the company when I meet friends after work, so the eating and drinking are usually secondary for me. This place fit the bill, but I'm not sure I'll rush back.
