This place was not that impressive, but it is much better than anything in a food court. I had the cobb salad which was good, but wasn't the best salad I've had in South Florida. My friends seemed to like what they ordered. One meal was their pizza which was much larger than we all thought it was going to be. Service was great and it was a casual place. Most of the patrons seemed to be those stopping in for a bite while shopping. I don't think there was anyone there just to try the restaurant. The entrance through the mall may be hard to find, as it is inside Macy's and near the teen boys section.

I honestly have never had such bad restaurant experience....for the life of me I can't remember the servers name but she was, blonde tall, sounds like she's been smoking all day, and has no clue what's going on in the world! Our server was so ridiculously rude, I took my aunt, mom, grandma, nieces, and sisters out...we went to downtown at the gardens and decided to go to the mall we got hungry and conveniently there was figs in Macy's where we were shopping at the time. Anyway once we walked in figs this lady sat us and didn't say anything at all the whole time and she walked into the kitchen I guess she was the hostess but aren't hostesses supposed to greet you and be kind anyhow the server came and she was chewing gum and she asked us if we knew what we wanted and we said yes and gave her our drink and food order because she mentioned that it would be faster if we did it that way. When she came back she was just talking to us and asking if any of us played sports or instruments and I brought up how my sister played the violin for 17 years and she was like wow are you serious but your so pretty and it's either you have brains or looks and in this case at least you have your looks and she started laughing obnoxiously we all looked at each other like how could she say that...we were thinking about leaving but our food had come out so we stayed and the food was absolutely horrible we ordered a large cheese and half pepperoni pizza which was so doughy and gross yet the backside of the pizza was burnt so it was awful! The fried calamari was not good the only thing that we can all kind of agree on that was actually descent tasting was the figs mezzo but we all agreed that the service and food was bad the presentation was not impressing what so ever it looked like an easy. Thing to make when your rushing to leave your house!! I'm not the person to usually right a novel about restaurant reviews but I'm still so shocked and this happened about last week and my sister cried and I've honestly never seen her cry about someone pretty much calling her stupid like the server did so it's a pretty big deal....I do not recommend this place what so ever!

Okay .... This is one of my favorite restaurants in Palm Beach County. I don't care that it's attached to a Macy's -- in fact, that's a bonus when I need to shop there! The food here is outstanding! Every time I come, I have to have the Asparagus Frites, cuz they are so crispy, light, and flavorful mixed with arugula and lemon aioli. (This from a girl who never liked asparagus before!) The burger is always wonderful as well. Other favorites are Macaroni Simone, Chicken Caprese Sandwich, Fish Sandwich and salads. Best lunch place around. Don't miss those Asparagus Frites!

Must have asparagus frites and fig/prosciutto flatbread pizza with Gorgonzola. And nice bottle of Rodney Strong Pinot on half-price bottle night (Wednesday). Nice warm white chocolate bread pudding, but hardly any room left. Cool atmosphere, friendly professional service. In Macy's? A total steal.

Tucked away at the gardens mall this place is a hidden gem. Amazing service both times I've been there and food to match. Very unique menu so you can try something new a few times in a row with no disappointments. Highly recommended if your in the area. Calamari pizza.. do it.

Extremely disappointed, I expected that a restaurant carrying Todd Englishs name would be higher quality. The food was cafeteria quality, would never go back.

We went to lunch on Sunday, July 19. When we arrived, we were greeted by staff and the waiter came over and introduced himself. Not one time did he offer to take our drink order. He immediately told us the specials and basically, that was it.! When another member of my group arrived he never offered to explain the specials to her. We ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza along with the mushroom pizza as appetizers for the entire table. When the pizzas arrived we tried to cut the pizza up into smaller pieces however, the crust was so hard that we had to ask for a sharp knife. Not only did we have to ask for a sharp knife we had to get up from the table and track down somebody to ask for a sharp knife. Unimpressed with Both pizzas. With regard to the fig and prosciutto pizza you could not even taste the prosciutto because it was cut so thin and you could see right through it. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. We asked for a dish to "wow" us. We were led to believe that the Bolognese was Todd English's signature dish. When he came to the table the linguine was stuck together as it had obviously been sitting for a while. The Bolognese itself was totally uneventful. It lacked flavor. It reminded me of cafeteria food. Another guest ordered the fish special and the fish was overcooked and tough. We had to send it back. Another concern was lack of service. No attention to detail. We had spilled a glass of water on the table and the waiter didn't even notice or bother to come by and check on us. Because a drink order was never taken, all we had was water, when we needed refills, we asked the manager Thomas to bring us the pitcher and we would be more than happy to fill our glasses ourselves. Shockingly, he gave us a pitcher and let us fill our water glasses. The waiter Charles, came over and grabbed the pitcher out of my hand and walked away. Thomas was standing by the table and my daughter did not receive a water refill, so she stood up walked behind Thomas got a pitcher of water and he stood there and watched her pour her own glass of water and never offered to do it for it or take the pitcher back to the station. Unbelievable! Absolutely one of the worst experiences we have ever had at such a prestigious named restaurant. I have a cookbook personally autographed by Todd English. I should send it back to him and have his staff read the recipes and learn how to cook the dishes that bears his name. Terribly disappointing. We will never go back and visit this establishment ever again. The manager should be fired along with the chef. Who serves a pizza that the only way you can cut it is with a sharp steak knife.! The waiter needs to go look for another job, obviously, the service industry is not suitable to him. Don't take somebody to this restaurant if you intend to impress them. The only thing that will you will impress them with is your lack of better judgment.!

Been here several times and there are a few good items on the menu. For Todd English I had higher expectations.

I used to work at the Gardens Mall and I often had lunch breaks at Figs. The restaurant is somewhat hard to find at first, it's located in Macy's lower level in between the handbags and men's wear (odd.) It's almost always empty, that's great for me considering I would only have an hour to have lunch. The food is always good and the staff is always nice. I really enjoy their appetizer menu and their pizza. They also did catering for an event my store held, they have great warm foods. The pasta is also really good.

This place was amazing! I just wanted something fast while shopping and didn't feel like the food court. I started with the Roasted Pear Salad...best salad I have ever eaten! Goat cheese and almonds, perfectly roasted pears, and a delicious vinaigrette made from cherries! And it was huge, big enough for a meal by itself. I also had the pepperoni pizza...you can tell they make the crust themselves like the manager told me, so crispy and light! Good ratio of cheese and flavorful sauce. Finished with bread pudding...warm and served with delicious caramel sauce. Service was great, my waitress was very nice and the manager was making the pizzas! I will definitely be back!

This was a surprise find replacing T's iphone she keeps throwing on the ground. We have been to the Fig's in Charlestown more than a few times and have always loved it. I couldn't believe it was the same place in Macy's. So we went in for lunch, a much smaller menu than the Boston Fig's and some of my favorites have been omitted (Fried Calamari pizza). Asparagus frites, Bianca, four cheese all were as good as I remembered. Expertly cooked, balanced toppings and tasty crispy dough. Friendly and attentive staff. I only wish they had a better selection of bubbles.

Worst dinner I've had in the 7 or 8 months we've been living here. On a Friday night, there were only 2 or 3 other tables full. Atmosphere is dull and depressing, and the food is even worse. Service was great though.

Stopped in for a glass of wine and a salad in the midst of my Christmas shopping... . No thank you! . Took more than 5 minutes to be acknowledged by the staff that surrounded me. . The place is dirty, you can see the dust all over and the marks where they apparently just moved an item as it was the clean spot! The staff is dressed in a disheveled manner and looks more like they should be at IHOP. . I shutter to think of what the kitchen looks like or the sanitary practices if I have already seen the guest view of the dining area etc. Haha, rolling silverware at the very front of the restaurant.. Grabbing the silver by the portion that would enter knew mouth, after messing with your hair etc... . Thank you but no! I would highly recommend NOT making this a stop on your mall route.. Stick to the food court!

This is such an odd little set up. Very small, tacked onto the young men's pants department of macy's. But don't overlook it. The food is GREAT and quick. The bar is nice. I love to start my day at the mall here. It's not as busy or big as the other restaurants, and the food is so much better. Well curated and reasonably priced wine list. the BLT Burger is EXCELLENT (but messy...what good burger isn't?) The strawberry spinach salad and the caeser salad are both great. The pizzas are pretty big and the fig and proscuitto one is really tasty. The service is always exceedingly friendly and competent without being stuffy. I hate to even write a review on this because I feel like it's a hidden gem.

Ordered the "Oliver" thinking it would be traditional margherita pizza. It was a overpriced "Red Barron" pizza from the supermarket. No fresh mozz or basil. Very disappointed.

Our friends chose Figs. They had been to one in Nantucket, and apparently it is a little more upscale. This was rather industrial looking and spare. The menu is somewhat limited with no true entrees. The service was attentive and the food was good. It was more like a diner than a restaurant.

Went for lunch with a friend and sat outside enjoying the beautiful weather. We shared the asparagus frites which were delicious and the fig , pruscuitti and Gorgonzola pizza which was very flavorful and absolutely yummy.

Ate here yesterday. The previous 7 visits were a 10 out of 10. Yesterday, the only thing consistent with those visits was the superb iced tea and the olive oil brought with the complimentary bread, which was cold this time. My Mediterranean Cobb was a disappointment, way over done chicken and all of the balsamic dressing was on the bottom of the bowl and not found until I was done! My husbands hamburger was cooked medium rather than rare.

Figs is phenomenal. There is a paucity of good pizza in Florida and Figs does an excellent job of bringing delicious pizza to the area. The fig and prosciutto pizza is a perfect combination of sweet and savory. The mushroom pizza is mouth-wateringly good. But the best part of the meal might be the white challah bread pudding, which is a dessert that you will never forget. It is massive, more than enough to share. It is a thick piece of pudding with a really sweet taste to it and a drizzle of caramel. Dining here is not for the faint-of-heart, calorically speaking. But it is good and worth an extra trip to the gym. The staff was friendly, too.

~LOVED IT~ Two weeks ago on a Friday we took a day off for a "date day"; dropped the little one at school and spent some "us" time together. Within that us time was a quick visit to the Macy's furniture outlet to get rugs for the new house. And there it was, nestled in the hidden façade of Macy's, the tiny little Fig... thinking the prices would be ridiculous, we went to the outside entrance to view the posted menu. A server came out and informed us that they were open for lunch and handed us a BOGO 1/2-off coupon. That along with the reasonable prices dictated it as our lunch destination. We went off to buy our rugs, and then returned to a second convenient entrance inside Macy's (and seeing as it was a downpour outside, convenient is an understatement. We started with Asparagus Frites, awesome, we could have just eaten another 5 plates of those and been really happy! She had the pulled chicken flatbread pizza, and I the beef short-rib special. The server was SPOT-ON with her food descriptions. My plate absolutely was "comfort food on steroids"! The meat was butter knife tender and the risotto perfect. Everything was perfect... then... there it was... just under the ribs... a triangular piece of (wait for it.. wait for it... horror... dramatic musical crescendo...) parchment paper. TTYTT, there are only a few things that make me send back food and complain, hair, bugs, and overcooking; this was a minor infraction which in no way was going to impede my desire to consume every last morsel on my plate. I politely brought the issue to the servers attention, told her there was no need to take my plate, and told her to simply inform the cook to be more careful. The slip up ended up with the staff insisting on us having dessert. We turned the server down twice, but were finally talked into accepting the offer; bread pudding baked with white chocolate. We were full and told ourselves we'd just have a bite or two... as you might have guessed, we devoured the oversized treat. Creamy , warm, custardy, `nuff said. We loved it, it's not The London, or Knife, at least not in price ;) What it is, is 4 star "Americana" food at a reasonable price. Just wish it was larger and NOT inside a Macy's... 4 1/2 stars, losing a 1/2 star more for the location and not the parchment paper!

A Todd English restaurant inside Macy's? Damn Macy's, you's fancy. This is the second Todd English restaurant I've eaten at. Between Figs and Olives, I prefer this more casual bistro. Lunch was great today and I would much prefer eating here for a couple of bucks more over the food court. The complimentary focaccia bread with olive oil was addicting. I never pass up on bread this good. For lunch, I got the half fried eggplant sandwich with the tomato and spinach soup. Both were done really well. Unlike the tomato bisque that I'm accustomed to getting, this soup tasted very healthy with giant chunks of tomato, whole leaf spinach, and orzo. The crispy eggplant sandwich was very tasty as well, which was balanced with fresh pieces of mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. The spaghettini is a nice option if you like pasta and garlic. The sauce was well-seasoned and the meatballs were good, albeit a little over breaded. Overall, Figs is a great restaurant for "mall food," if you can even consider this that. Initially, I was put off by the faux wood-fired oven, but the free-form pizzas actually came out looking pretty good. The large size can easily be shared between two people. I'll have to return to try the fig and prosciutto.

Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Their entrees are not good but the appetizers and pizza are quite good. Must try: asparagus frites, eggplant stack, any pizza. Service is ok. Except one time we had the most accommodating waitress from NY! We once observed staff smoking right by the entrance, no one wants to witness that. Outdoor seating is nice but the interior is narrow and not inviting. They share the restrooms with Macy's and they are not clean. We keep coming back because of the value.

Is the wait staff required to keep customers in the restaurant for at least 2 hours? That's what it seemed like to us. Both times we ate there, there were only one or two other tables with customers, but it took forever for the waitress to take our order and bring us our drinks and food. The food is decent, but there aren't a lot of menu options that looked worth trying. Their pizzas are pretty good, but not enough to make me want to go back for that. The skirt steak with mashed potatoes was awesome. If we have a lot of time to kill and want to go back, we would definitely order that again. The other steak dish was just okay.

I love the food and the atmosphere. Nice that there is a discount for mall employees. Unfortunately, it takes forever to get your food, and most of the wait staff are very inattentive. But the food was great and it was convenient, so I went there 6 times and each time, the service seemed to decline. The last time, I went there first to order for partner ten minutes in advance of their arrival as they were on lunch from work. Olives bread and drinks came quickly, good so far. When they were delivered, we asked about a slight change on the sandwich, said it should be no problem. Ten minutes later a fellow sat next to us. He was paying for his check after finishing his meal 25 minutes later and our food had still not arrived. Meanwhile, waitress stopped once to apologize and say it was coming soon. Meanwhile, we could not flag her down for refresh on drinks. It's one of those things where you keep waiting and thinking it will be there, and then it doesn't and you don't know what to do. So when food came there was this other waiter, a tall thin fellow was very kind in trying to offer a free desert, tried to salvage the situation, but we had no time for desert. My lunch partner was feeling sick from waiting for food...one of those days when you didn't have enough for breakfast and were hoping to eat quickly...that's why I ordered in advance. Well, I was so disgusted, on the way out, I asked for the manager. She had the personality of a librarian and as I briefly told her what happened in a matter of fact tone, but I'm sure with an irritated look, she gave me the most dour of expressions, never acknowledging anything or saying, "I'm sorry that happened", so after my one minute summary, I ended it by saying, "and because of your crappy attitude, I'll never come back". I turned and walked away, and she literally ran after me to tell me that I was NOT ALLOWED TO COME BACK!...haha, really? She had to have the last word...wow, how professional. The tall thin guy should be the manager, he knows people.

Pretty weird how it's inside Macy's, but it's pretty good for being located literally at the women's shoe section. The fingerling potatoes were a nice play on the usual potato skins (cheese, bacon, potato) app and cooked perfectly. We shared a small Sicillian pizza and the chicken parm. The pizza was weird. I didn't like the flavor combo (aioli just doesn't really belong on pizza) and the crust was OK. The chicken parm was pretty good though. The chicken was fried and seasoned perfectly. The service was great. Our waiter was very helpful and speedy. I guess if I happen to be at this Macy's again and hungry, I would eat there.

Everything I have ever ordered is delicious. They are known for the pizzas though! They are all good. I also love the calamari! For desert the bread pudding is amazing. Like other reviewers have said it is really a pleasant surprise! Great food for reasonable prices in a Macy's... Go figure...

Firstly, I love anything Todd English so naturally I was drawn to this place when it first opened. Every time I'm shopping in the mall I make a point to fit this in before or after my shopping trips. My mom and I come in the middle of the day to sip on wine and nosh on their salads and appetizers. One of my favorites is their Asparagus Frites tossed with arugula and a very light coating of honey mustard aioli. Another favorite is their beet salad with goat cheese. Ahhh it's to die and always refreshes me on a hot day. Their pizza (as is any other dish) is always consistent, when I'm in the mood I order the Spicy Chicken Pizza with herbed ricotta, balsamic onions & a light tomato sauce. Overall I come to figs to relax, kick my feet up and enjoy good food in a friendly atmosphere. The manager knows my mom and I and she's always bringing us out tastings of her home made meat balls or watermelon gazpacho. It makes the experience very enjoyable and for that reason we continue to go back at least once a week.

So I decided to give this place a shot even though I was hesitant due to the location (inside Macy's), and I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was very attentive - our waiter gave a very thorough explanation of the menu....including which items were the most popular or his personal favorites. We ordered the Asparagas frites to start off and they were tasty, crispy and well-presented on a bed of fresh arugula. My wife ordered the salmon on a bed of Israeli cous cous, and I ordered a large pizza (half crispy eggplant/half portabella mushroom). We both enjoyed our entrees, but made sure to leave room for the grand finale.....the BREAD PUDDING. One word: WOW. That pudding was the best dessert I've had since we moved down from Chicago over 2 years ago. Excellent! We split it between the two of us, and cleaned the plate. In conclusion: Good food, good service, and save room for the bread pudding....no matter what! In fact, go JUST FOR the bread pudding!

I'm a fan of Todd English, so on vacation I decided to try this place out. Server was a nice guy and pretty enthusiastic. We ordered the asparagus tempura, fried calamari, and crab cake. All were ok. Crab cake had no flavor, asparagus was nice, and calamari was pretty similar to what I've had many time before. The real stars here were the entrees. We ordered the open faced steak sandwich, eggplant pizza, and herb crusted tilapia. The steak was cut up into small pieces which made it easy to eat and share...fries were very good. The eggplant pizza was done in their special oven and tasted great...loved the ricotta on top. The fish was good, but the smashed potatoes and spinach on the side were the real stars. I'm down here for another week and may go back again as the sandwiches look good. I'd say skip the appetizers and maybe look into desserts instead.

the pizza at figs was so good. the fig and prosciutto pizza with gorgonzola has become one of my favorite pizzas. the bolognese was good but honestly a little too rich for my blood. the white chocolate challah bread pudding was excellent but also, too rich considering how heavy everything else.

5 Stars??? Really?? This sense of alacrity didn't come until after my uninhibited enjoyment of figs. Knowing the history of my eats in Florida, I had low expectations. It's REALLY hard to find a nice, not overly expensive place in Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, or anywhere within a 15 mile radius of this locales. As I approached the Gardens Mall, passed Brio, I see figs...noticing there is no entrance from the outside(or so I thought). My friend and I walked through Macy's and into figs, we waited for 5 minutes. No one helped us...there were 10 people in a place that seats about 80. We finally sat and already felt underwhelmed about the place, you can see why. We ordered apps(crab cake salad and potato skins w/ gorgonzola, smoked applewood bacon bits, with Ranch Dressing). This is where it gets good. The Crab cakes were cooked to perfection with fresh cold arugula salad underneath with a drizzle of this mayonnaise type aoili which was awesome. The potatoes were perfect with the strong taste of Gorgonzola, crunchy texture of the bacon, and palate balancing ranch dressing. The apps were exceptional for what they were. Then we get to the main event...Figs and Prosciutto Pizza with Gorgonzola. I love figs, I love prosciutto, and I love pizza. I thought this pizza was mind blowing between the sweetness of the figs, fresh Italian prosciutto and scallion tips, and the balance of the Gorgonzola to offset the sweetness. The crust, although a little chewy(my jaw started hurting towards the end), was tasty and baked to perfection. This is the best kept secret in Palm Beach, imo. And for the money, you can come back over and over without feeling the sense of losing your trust fund. Because you rich people do that. "OOhhh, I'm paying $300 for my heating bill on my 5 MILLION dollar house! Ohhh nooo!" Come and get the fig pizza. Do it. P.S. Ask for the bread multiple times during the visit.

First, you must be a fan of Todd English toddenglish.com to appreciate this little nook beside/attached Macys: That being said- supper yummy veggies and things to fill you up after a long day of playing in the MAC store. (tee hee hee) Did not touch the bread (eeek!) and oil (double eeek!) but BOY did it look tempting, especially with the olives laying there, chanting for my tummy to consume them. What's funny about this cute little place, is that service is S L O W. I could have grown my own asparagus in my own field, picked it, washed it, sliced it up and cooked it... and still been quicker than the amount of time it took to Miss Todd English to serve me my veggies. Secretly, I wonder if the food comes from upstairs @ Food Court and that's what takes the servers so long to bring it to you. hahaha The food was fantastic though... and it's located in a little nook, off Macy's which makes it more convenient than food court.

Super cute little place conveniently attached to Macy's. The decor is very dark and cozy. They have a nice bar where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine before or after a shopping spree. They bring very yummy bread with olive oil, which was delicious. We ordered the arugula/beet/pomegranate vinaigrete/goat cheese/orange/roasted red onion salad - the portion was a little small but it was delicious. The flavors were on point. We shared a fig & prosciutto pizza - it was very crispy and tasty, the combo of sweet and salty was great. The service was great - our server was very sweet and honest with her recommendations. I will go back once I'm in the area again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
