I have been coming to this restaurant for about 12 years. Yes, the service is slow. Yes, the owners sometimes open a little late. However, the seafood puffs keep me coming back. Their lunch buffet is small but they usually cook as you eat. If they see you like the sesame chicken they will make some fresh for you. It's not the best Chinese I have ever had but it is far from the worst. Did I mention the seafood puffs?

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. People are rude, food takes forever and it's not good at all. They had a room full of people waiting for food for over an hour. Will not be going back and I would recommend that you stay away as well. Go to the one right down the road with better reviews. Trust me and all the other reviews. STAY AWAY.

I don't even want to look up their health inspection records... Ordered takeout. Was told 20 min. Showed up around 35 min later. Walked in place was empty. No one around. Finally someone came out. Took my name. Food still wasn't ready would be another 20 min. After looking around seeing how the empty buffet pans looked and general condition. I said don't bother and walked out. No idea how this place is still open.

I brought a friend to try this place hoping it would be one of those mom and pop hidden gem, but turns out is was not even close! I ordered the house special lo mein with the krab puffs and my friend order the shrimp curry. When we arrived we were told we would have a 30 min wait, we thought that was a bit long considering there was only 1 table in the restaurant, however we decided to wait. There was only 1 waitress who seemed to be making krab puffs in her free time. After almost an hour of waiting we finally got our food and the waitress said that the cook gave us extra krab puffs... Once we got home we were eager to eat as we had been waiting a long time. I opened my lo mein and was immediately disturbed by the coloration of the lo mein. It was sort of grayish and literally smelled like dish water! It taste as if the noodles were boiled in dirty water and the shrimp. chicken and pork were just thrown in!!! My friends curry looked like gelatin and tasted quite bland. The krab puffs were the only thing that were enjoyable, which I'm guessing is why they gave us extra. Some of the other reviews said the same thing. I'm sorry, but that doesn't make up for the fact that your serving food not fit for anyone to eat. I'm not one to waste food... EVEN BAD FOOD, but I feared getting food poisoning if I took another bite. Me and my friend threw everything away and we definitely won't be back. Stay clear if you value your health...

Good food but overpriced for the quality. I ordered the seafood puffs, Kung pao chicken, steak-on-a-stick, and young chow fried rice. The seafood puffs were amazing and they were generous in giving me 6 extra as a bonus. These little crispy bits are so delicious - I cannot like them enough! The Kung pao chicken was cooked well but not very spicy. Large chunks of green and red peppers (which I love!) and covered in peanuts on top. Definitely tasty and a good portion comes for a combination meal. It comes with pork fried rice, an egg roll, and wonton soup. Egg rolls aren't my favorite so I can't comment on that. The wonton soup was good but a little salty for my taste. The steak-on-a-stick was definitely the worst part of the meal. Steak was dry and and overly sauced before cooking. Not good at all. Lastly, the young chow fried rice was pretty good. Nothing too amazing, but hey, it's fried rice - kinda hard to mess up! Overall 3 stars because I don't think it was worth the money...but not horrible (except the steak-on-a-stick, eww!)

We are in from out of town, visiting my mother- in- law. We were all hungry for your food, as she mentioned that your take out is better than any others around. We ordered over the phone, and tried to be really precise about what we wanted. The woman on the phone was very rude, but we overlooked the nasty attitude because the food has been raved about. We waited for about a half hour before we went to pick up the order. We get there, and the woman is "stirring" the buffet, and does not even look up to acknowledge our presence. My husband tells her we are there to pick up our order and she reprimands him, saying we were there much too early and it would still be several minutes. She goes back in the kitchen, presumably to START our order while we stand there and wait. Meanwhile, we notice the tables are a mess, with dirty dishes and leftover food still on plates. No customer service skills whatsoever! We are very disappointed because we were eager to try your food. We decided to skip the terrible service and went grocery shopping instead!

This place USED to be great. The food awesome but now they have gone down hill. I have been trying to come here for the past few weeks to give him one last chance since my bro worked there. But every time I try to order one of my fav dishes he (the cook/owner) just tells me no. Without any explanation on why I can't have that dish. He tells me this or that dish only then walks away. Went to Vietnamese restaurant behind them, SO much better and I can order what I actually want to eat .

I had a desire for good Chinese food for weeks. I finally decided today was the day and since I had to work...ordered for delivery. I went back to Meridian which I had eaten at before but it had been awhile. I was being optimistic it had improved. No such luck. The only thing good about delivery was the nice young man who brought the food. The cashew chicken was the most bland version I have ever had. That was after asking that it be spicy/hot. Of course I think any attempt at good customer service was lost on the young lady taking my order. I won't be ordering from Meridian again.

I had once written a positive review. Sadly I have to revoke that. I have been going to Meridian Court since I was eight years old, and I'm now 23. After they reopened at the new location, we stuck with it, even though they were always late , never had all the options on the menu, and were sometimes a little rude. The last time we ordered from them, the potstickers (once my favorite) were not the same. They were completely different, and I'm pretty sure they were frozen. The quality in food had finally fallen to their quality of service- very well below standard. It feels a bit like they've given up. It breaks my heart, but we've had to move on and find a new Chinese place. We'll miss you, beef curry rolls.

Not worth the headache... Every time we attempt to order they are either out of a ingredient such as the noodles for Hong Kong pan fried noodle or they can't deliver because of the weather or it will take 1-1/2 for delivery. Then the two times I've picked up food I ended up waiting 15 mins longer then what they said and got the feeling that they just did not care.

The food is decent but the service has gone way downhill. The last few times we have ordered from here our orders have been incorrect ad it has grown tiresome. Time to find a new place!!!

The last reviewer had it right. This is the best Chinese food you'll find in all of the UCF area. I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about - everything is fresh and not frozen. Sometimes in the middle of the day you can even see them making pastries by hand. I recommend getting the seafood puffs - their [better] version of crab rangun (though the owner, Mr. Lee, usually tosses in some free ones with every order). Also the General Tso's chicken, Orange Beef, and Singapore Rice Vermicelli are very good. Enjoy!

Pretty awful. Food was plainly pre-frozen and flash-deep-fried. Egg rolls are dry, "kung pao" is simply meat + brown sauce + thrown on peanuts. Service was cordial but slow with only 2 waiters at 8:00pm. Overall, very below average food even for strip-mall Chinese.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
